So, I never leave reviews, but Napa Tenacious Fitness deserves it because it truly is a hidden gem! I think everyone should check this gym and the trainers out. I am so happy to have found this place and found trainers that really care about your health through fitness, nutritious, and just overall wellbeing. Their approach is very personalized, which is great because everyone has had a different fitness journey. For a while I have been looking for a gym/trainer that focused on injury prevention through resistance training and teaching proper form. A few years ago, I was at the peak of my fitness, I was lifting heavy weights, dancing, and doing HIIT regularly. I got into a car accident and that messed up my back, which then made me very hesitant about lifting. I went to PT and Chiro and tried to look for a gym that would help me get stronger and gain confidence to lift heavy again. After searching for a while, through a friend’s recommendation, I found Napa Tenacious. The trainers at this gym create catered exercise routines that focus on your personal goals through different phases so that you can progress to your goals in an injury free manner. I have been working out here for over a year now, I can see the progress I have made. I am stronger, I have more confidence lifting heavy weights, and my overall fitness has improved! All around AWESOME! I’ve tried a few places before coming to Tenacious Fitness and none of them can compare!!I’ve only been coming here for a few months and I can already see some great results; not only in my fitness, but in my overall well being. They always make sure your needs come first and tailor a program that is just right for you.Also, the staff is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and very motivating. Having been an active tennis player most of my life, I became fairly sedentary following total knee replacement surgery in February 2020. I also had surgery on my rotator cuff in 2019. Without tennis, I gained weight, lost muscle strength, balance and flexibility. I had driven past Napa Tenacious many times and made the decision to contact Sean McCawley / Owner of Napa Tenacious. Am I glad I did! I have lost 10 pounds since I started my training sessions with Sean and his very professional staff of trainers. One-on-one training is something I had not experienced before and I highly recommend it.My entire body is stronger. My balance and flexibility are much improved. Napa Tenacious Fitness offers an atypical gym experience. Not only are you given one on one attention in workouts, you are also given life coaching and nutritional advice. Napa Tenacious is not so much about making muscles grow big, rather, they are about growing the individual into the best self they can be. If you are looking to not only improve yourself physically but soulfully, Napa Tenacious is an effective vehicle to accomplish such important work. I have been working out at Tenacious Fitness and I am very happy that I found them! I wanted to work on my flexibility, strength, and overall fitness. Sean, Jesse, and Bobby are great trainers. They work with me on my goals and create a workout plan that I can do and really enjoy doing! I look forward to each new phase of exercises as I get better and stronger when I go in for my sessions. I highly recommend Napa Tenacious personal training gym. Sean and Bobby are super friendly and make working out a lot of fun. If you are a seasoned fitness buff or just a beginner, these guys will tailor the experience to your needs. I should add that they are great at injury management and know a ton about how to help with an old injury or a new one. I found myself looking forward to my work out sessions at this place which was definitely not the case at previous gyms I have used.

After not going to the gym for 15 years I decided to give personal training a try based on the other reviews I saw online. Im glad I did! Not only do you get one-on-one personal training, but you learn completely new exercises, strengthen and rehabilitate past injuries, receive two hour tutorial on nutrition and a custom diet plan. Did I mention a weekly and monthly life goal plan? Well they do that too, and make sure you stick to it!I definitely wasnt expecting all of that! I clearly have noticed a new spark to my step, and feel a lot more proactive in my daily life. Its nice to know that there is a solution towards attaining lifelong sustainable energy!Also, this experience got me into Pickleball which is really good for getting weekly cardio exercise credit while having fun with new people!
I came to this studio with aches and pains I had chalked up to middle age but after just a few workouts realized that I am so much stronger than I thought, and have learned ways to blow those issues out!! These guys really know their stuff, and have a personable approach that makes it fun. Great Facilities. Very clean and lots of room. Sean is an excellent Personal Trainer. Hes really helped with my mobility in my knee and back. Ive seen some great progress in just 3 months. I am excited by what we will accomplish in the next 3 months!
Moving back to Napa Valley in 2015 was an adjustment, especially with the wonderful food and wine to indulge in. By January of 2017, i was ready to make a change- eat better- exercise regularly- but needed some serious motivation. My sister had been going to Tenacious for 3 years and recommended i speak with Sean about my overall fitness goals and the reasons why i wanted to get fit. Its important to understand that at Tenacious, the why is crucial for them to know- in order for them to help you reach that goal. its much more than just a gym, its personal one-on-one training that is specialized to you and your body- to help you achieve your goal. the attention and care given to me over this past year, as been truly incredible. you will focus on movements and exercises that you enjoy- ones that you are good at it.Overall, i wanted feel better- look better- lose 10+ lbs- and fit into my clothes better. After a few phone calls with Sean, i started at Tenacious on January 19th, and as of Oct 31st- i lost 13lbs- dropped a pant size- a shirt size- and overall feel awesome!! it was slow weight loss about 1-2 lbs a month, but very steady and consistent and i never gave up. Completing this goal in 10 months surpassed my expectation but i know i couldnt have done it without Tenacious. Cant say enough amazing things about Sean and his team and his fitness routines.

Sean pays great attention to your progress, and customizes each persons routines to their unique fitness goals. I have trained with Sean a number of times over the last few years. Sean is a great at what he does. The way he explains body movement and conditioning has really helped me to educate myself in the physiology of my body. I have never had a workout program or any sort of exercise regime. Sean’s custom program for me has pushed me to a level of fitness I would never have achieved on my own. All the trainers at Napa Tenacious Fitness are very educated in body mechanics and working with them has taught me how to move during my workouts which has prevented injury and sped my recovery.I originally went to see Sean after becoming frustrated with my body. At 34, I could not put on socks without tightness or discomfort in my lower body. I sought help from a chiropractor and yoga studio. Both left me feeling good that day, but did nothing to change my behaviors or life for the long term. With Sean and Kevin’s help, I feel I have created strategies and tools that I can use for the rest of my life to keep me fit and healthy (and now I can put my socks on without wincing).

I cant say enough about Sean and his company Tenacious Fitness. If you are serious about changing your life from a fitness/health perspective, he IS the guy to go to. ESPECIALLY if you have particular health issues that need to be addressed while coming up with a workout routine that respects those issues. In my case, a 15+ years series of lower back problems, and Sean has come up with a workout that accommodates that. Its even easy when traveling, which I do a lot. Im stronger and fitter than ever (almost 49) and do seriously enjoy it and look forward to it three times a week (amazing in itself!). As with other reviewers, Ive tried other trainers/clubs, etc. and NEVER gotten the kind of attention and results as I do now. I might also add that I totally dig the comfort of working out in private, and Sean is a easygoing, smart, straight-up good egg of a guy who is comfortable with just about everyone. Simply put, Sean McCawley is the real deal. Sean was my strength and conditioning coach while I trained for my first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu completion. He made sure I circuit-trained in a way that would emulate my fight so that I would have cardio to push my opponent to the depths of the rounds. With few secondly left in the first round, I was down by 12 points behind. My training with Sean allowed me to trust my cardio, out-pace my opponent and catch a guillotine choke to win the fight.I would encourage anyone of any age, gender, or current level of fitness to train with Sean. Training with him will allow you to safely and effectively reach your fitness goals. Whether your goal is to lose fat, tone muscle, or recover from an injury, I trust Seans experience to develop a plan to help accomplish your goals.
