Let me start by saying if you are AFRICAN AMERICAN don’t go there because they will not service you. I went one day about six that evening and the guy said they were busy ( even though nobody was waiting)and to call back the next day for an appointment. I ask can I go ahead and book one now and he said no. I thought that was odd but decided to give them another try. The second time I went I was told the by the same guy that they was busy in a smart tone even though it wasn’t anybody in the salon. So about a month later I decided to try again on a Tuesday Morning just to see if he would take me and guess what he didn’t. He took the white customers that was before me. He proceeds to tell me to call back for an appointment which doesn’t make sense if I’m already there. He never ask what service I wanted and each time I went they was empty and techs just sitting around.I finally decided to look at the reviews and everything I experienced I see a pattern with others like myself. It doesn’t stop there I called the next day as I was told to make a appointment and was told they was book for that day. I ask about the following day and was told they was busy that day too. I ask what’s the next available he says he would call me back but never did.

My technician was amazing!!! I couldnt decide how I wanted my gel manicure done between 3 different polishes and he did a fun yet classy design that turned out so cute!! I hate that I forgot his name but he was so friendly and kept the conversation going the entire time - which I very much enjoyed!! Best experience Ive had thus far!!! Highly recommend!

Excellent service! A beautiful salon with cleanliness and sanitation. Everything used on me was either clean or new, which made me feel comfortable. Foot tubs had disposable liners. A little pricey but well worth it. I recommend making an appointment, this place was super busy. I got a deluxe pedicure $39 and gel manicure $35, very satisfied customer.

Nice place its a little dusting no overbearing smells really friendly people they need to change their snacks but other than that really good place I would go back

I visited the new location in Pike Road on yesterday and was told I needed to have an appointment because they only do appointments. I said ok and left. I called on Saturday to make an appointment and the guy that answered the phone was very rude and also hung up on me before I can finish asking about scheduling a future appointment. I will not spend my money with them ever! Because they are new to our neighborhood, I thought I would give them a try. They can forget it.

My manicurest Theresa was excellent, was a great first experience,very professional, and sweet, it was the best Ive had since my nail guy in Las Vegas. We just moved and she was recommended and I was not disappointed. Will diffenetly be back with her . Salon is very clean, you pay for what you get. Reasonable prices.

They didn’t know about chrome nail color and they didn’t know about design and the customer crevices was rude.

The owner is probably gonna have a heart attack with how quickly he caught an attitude with me. I don’t know what’s going on with him, but he needs to calm down because no one should be treated the way I was. If you made a mistake with booking my appointment that is your problem not mine. Moreover, if you want to keep customers don’t ever raise your voice at them especially not at me, because I am not your child and if you do have kids I feel bad for them. Needless to say, I will never go back to this nail shop again:)

I had an appointment with Dana and she is amazing. I literally dont go to anybody else but her. They are very professional and clean. All of the instruments that they use on you are opened right in front of you. A small group went a couple of days before my wedding. Everyone loved their nails. My 6 year old daughter messed up her nails and was really upset and they immediately fixed them and they were really sweet to her. Highly recommend!

There is nothing royal about this establishment. There are too many service chairs, very crowded, the stench of chemicals greets you at the door, renovation and upgrades needed, definitely not a zen like environment

I am very disappointed. I came in for my appointment and no one was available. Turns out the manager did not correctly schedule my appointment and got my services mixed up with another guest. And then he let another customer go before me when I had an appointment AND got there first. The manager was very rude to me about getting my appointment right and I had to ultimately leave and go somewhere else. I WOULD NOT recommend going here!

A friend recommended this salon and a particular technician - Dana. I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my experience - I don’t think there was a detail they missed. Royal Nail Spa is the best nail salon in Montgomery. I have been using their services for 5 years and have never been disappointed. Karen is the technician who works with me and does an amazing job. The salon is very clean and the owner, Andy, is constantly making improvements that keep this business updated and very customer friendly.

I’ve been going here for almost a year and I will NEVER go anywhere else! The place is clean, nice. they do a great job, and they’re super sweet people!! I love talking to them while they do my nails. The rewards system is a bonus!! They stay busy, but they actually have enough employees to keep business going, I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to get a service.

The gel manicure and regular pedicure were perfect. The service was friendly and exceptional. However, my only complaint is the way my eyebrows were waxed. They are severely uneven. One eye brow is more arched while the other is rounded. Also, one is wayyyy shorter than the other. She took off several centimeters of the inside of one eyebrow. Meaning, where one eyebrow lines up with the edge of my nose (like it’s suppose to) the other one lines up with the inside corner of my eye. It’s atrocious... so now I have to fill my eyebrows in with a pencil until it grows back in a few months. I would definitely use this place again for nails, but NOT for waxing. I wish I could post the pictures of my eyebrows so you could see, but just trust me.

I have been to this nail spa twice. The first time I went my gel manicure started coming off after two days. I went to give them another try, even made an appointment. After waiting 40 minutes, I was seated, to wait an additional 15 minutes before someone even attended to me. I got a regular manicure- and it is possibly the worst manicure I have ever gotten. The girl who did it used a VERY course nail file on my nails (it literally chewed up my fingernails) and she didn’t trim ANY of the hang nails on the sides of my nails. I won’t be going back. 👎🏼

Called this morning 7/9/2020 around 11am to speak with Nina, she answered the phone & I asked what openings did she have for a pedicure. She asked my name & didnt come back to the phone...a male picked up & said shes busy right now, I said but I was just speaking to her how did she just answer & a few seconds later she is busy? I had called last Friday, left my number & was told she would call me back...never happened...I like Nina & how she does my pedicure put they have officially lost my business, called another shop & they gave me an appointment today.

Avoid going here. Nice facility but staff is rude and not welcoming. My wife and I came in for the first time and was not greeted nor helped. We had to ask for service and when we asked they were rude and pointed to one of their workers who had a customer. Maybe it was because we are black not sure but I would not go here ever again. We will stick with Anthony Vince they are very nice and always go above and beyond. We only tried this place because it’s close to our home.

Every experience Ive had here has been great. They are clean, polite and meticulous with their work, which I appreciate. Its obvious they have been trained well and know what they are doing. My dip powder turned out perfectly.

One star is too many. I went to Royal Nails on Taylor Road (Montgomery, AL) at 3:00 on a Thursday, and was told they do not accept walk-ins. I politely asked since when and was not given an answer. I left the shop with a “thank you” then called back to schedule an appointment. Andy answered, and I asked for an appointment. He put the phone down with out asking me to hold please, and after four minutes informed me that NO appointments were available. Shocked! Just to clarify, I asked him to repeat what he said, and he stated that he didn’t have any openings. Then I asked if he had any openings the following week or the following year to which he replied “no.” Not shocked anymore.I then had my daughter call using a “nondescript” voice and she was told that she did not have to make an appointment and could walk in THAT DAY!!!!!!! I’m African American. WE need a nail shop in Montgomery.

My first visit today was very, very good. Amazingly clean, organized and beautiful atmosphere. I was extremely pleased with the sanitation efforts and the little things like soft towels and quality flip-flops given to me after my pedi. Kevin was my nail tech who was professional yet personable and very likable. Thank you, Kevin, for making my mani/pedi the most relaxing I’ve ever had. My only regret is I am moving from the state next week and wish I’d found this salon 10 years ago!

Ive been a regular customer for two years, and I love this salon! Ive tried all the others in the area, but I keep coming back to Royal Nails. Lucky is no longer on the staff, but I always thought his work was very good and was never rude in my presence. The salon used to be very small, but a few months ago, they were able to acquire the space next door and open the salon up to a very large facility! The music is relaxing, there is no loud television to distract you from the experience. I have made warm friendships with some of the ladies there; they work hard to give excellent customer service. Sometimes, it is busy, but if you make a reservation or go at a time when it is not too busy, you should receive absolutely fantastic service! I have used all of the technicians, but recently, I tried a new one named Tee. He was very professional, and I love his work! You wont go wrong with trying Royal Nails.

I walked in at 6:30!! They told me they were closed (closing time 7) I looked at my watch and looked around at the techs who clearly needed something to do. I said sir it’s 6:30 and your open sign is on, he says well we are booked. I looked at the techs again that weren’t doing anything and shook my head. I said thank you and left. I should have known something was fishy when the windows are covered in WHITE!! They don’t want black folks there! Smh i thank God for growth because all of them can get these black hands!!🤣

I’ve been going to Royal Nails for about a year now and I’m always happy with the results.

Pros and cons.Sue did my manicure and she did an amazing job. Another lady did my pedicure and she was also amazing (I cant remember her name). Everyone is friendly except for a guy named Lucky. Very rude; makes you feel super uncomfortable when you accidentally mess up the nail polish. Im embarrassed to even show my face in there ever again over the fact that he overreacted. I made sure to tip him but you can obviously tell he doesnt enjoy his job. Ive heard him raise his voice at customers. Very unfriendly person.I gave it a 3 because the other staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is gorgeous. The decorations are beautiful.

Royal Nails is the cleanest nail salon in Montgomery. They also have the largest nail polish selection around. I love the staff and have been a loyal customer for over a year.

I wish I could give them a five but one do the best, Nina, is the only thing that deserves a five here. The owner is not at all nice along with one other- I tolerate them for Nina. She does a great job! And she’s kind. As far as service as a whole they really deserve 1 Star.Update: I have to lower my rating. The owner here is so difficult to deal with. I have a preferred technician, and she is great. Unfortunately, I’ve decided to no longer spend my hard earned money here.

Walked in with my friend and waited for a little bit and then were told to go sit in the chairs together. Then she gets moved to the other side and starts getting her nails worked on while I wait. Meanwhile the girl behind us in line gets worked on while I continue to wait. Finally someone comes and starts to work on mine. Instead of soaking my previous gel manicure off as usual he literally picks/rips it off with his fingers. So my nails are now rough and he then uses the acrylic drill to buff that off. Then files per usual. So now my already thin nails are even thinner. He cut them very short without asking if the length was ok. He knicked me with the cuticle cutters on one of my fingers. Polish looks decent. My friend had a great experience with her technician so maybe I’ll try again and request someone different. It is a nice atmosphere and lots of color choices.
