The gentleman at the front is very nice which is probably the one of the only parts I enjoyed. The guy who did my pedicure was nice as well and did a decent job. The woman who did my pedicure rushed without it being busy leaving a lot of my cuticles still on and not cleaning under my nails at all. I believe it was due to the fact that I chose regular polish vs gel. It was my second time here and probably my last.I also just made this post when I left.

I went here to get a manicure a few days ago. The place was clean and they had a large selection of colors. I appreciated the price because it is cheaper than some of the more nail salons in the area. They do a great job!!!

Thi Phan is awesome! I didnt really have a clue what I wanted or how the whole process works because I dont usually get my nails done. But she was helpful and patient. And she did SOOO GOOD! this place is clean and attractive decor. I dont think Ill go anywhere else.

I absolutely love it here! I’ve been coming for a few months and I’m lucky to have found them. Finding a good nail tech here is hard but they are amazing. Jim is great and very creative, I don’t always know what I want but by the time I leave his chair I’m always happy with whatever he does!

This is a very clean and visually pleasing nail salon. Everything is sanitized.The furniture and amenities are modern. They have a good number of staff and seating. I loved the variety of colors they offer. More importantly, I liked how my nails turned out .I will be returning.

Excellent nail care here even for those of us who do not have much in the way of finger nails. Pedi was super. The owner was super careful about hygiene. The equipment good to see in these times.

My last visit was my 3rd time trying this place and my last time. The lady that did my pedicure was rushing through the pedicure and did a terrible job. I paid for a deluxe also as I typically do and I normally tip $20 extra but not this time. As a male who works a lot of hours on my feet I understand the necessity of getting a pedicure. There was also leftover chemicals that were left on my legs due to her rushing and she did not scrub my feet at all. I am not one to cause a scene so I paid and just left without complaining. I would not recommend some of the nail technicians that work here to anyone.

My manicurist did such a great job! I came back and got a pedicure and she did a amazing job. I highly recommend this place! Very very clean all of the staff are very professional!!

J and K is THE BEST in town. My nail have lasted with added studs for over a month without a single chip or missing gem. In times of COVID and as a public health professional I can not express the excellence of their cleanliness and attention to detail to protect their customers and deliver the best nails in town. I have been going to Jim right at a year, after searching for a salon that provided top quality and affordability I have found the hidden gem.

Absolutely wonderful experience! This was my first time ever getting acrylics done, and J&K made me feel warm and welcomed from the second I entered their salon. Jim did my nails, and we had great conversations throughout the process. Him and his wife, Kate, are extremely pleasant and make ever client feel special. The salon itself is beautiful inside: the walls are lined with hundreds of nail products, theres gentle jazz playing in the background, and there isnt a spot of dirt or dust anywhere. I would recommend this family-owned business to anyone looking for a high-quality yet affordable nail experience. Mine ended up being $55, as the coffin shape and the ombre was a bit more expensive than standard acrylics. Completely worth it, in my opinion, though! I had a great experience from start to finish and even recommended my friend, who will be going on Monday!

My nails are always fly but the wait even with an appoint is crazy. This my 3rd visit so I must be crazy as well. I might as well have been on pay roll due to the time I spent there. My appointment was for 1 pm and I was there early. I met the lady whose appointment was for 12 noon who was only parting done. Now to be fair the shop was down 3 workers but in my previous visits as a walk in I’ve seen and heard the shop manger double book clients while still taking all walk ins. I left to go lunch per the works request only to come back and the 2 pm appointment person was being served. I was only away for the hour recommended. Oh by the way I didn’t leave until after 5 pm and the lady with the 12 noon appointment was still being served as I was leaving.Jim the guy running the shop and tech my appointment was with didn’t want to do my nails because the design according to him was too time consuming so he passed me off to his wife. Who is awesome by the way so I was lucky in that regard.So if you go know the workers there are very talented with nails ( I have had a pedi there but want anymore it was not good even though I opted for the top end package, smh) also know if like designs like I do and length you are going to pay $$$ and your prearranged appointment really doesn’t mean much so be prepared to read, quit, complete a puzzle or something as you are going to need it.

Made an appt (which I recommed.) Was the first time we came. It was very clean and friendly. Our mani-pedis came out beautiful. Very detail oriented and accommodating. Wish I could take this shop back home to Nebraska. They had ALOT of regular come in which is a great sign.

I wish I had taken a picture of the mess that were my nails before J and Tiffany fixed them. I was too embarrassed to show anyone, so embarrassed in fact that I paid to have them done twice! Im so tired of paying for what I dont want, more tired of paying people who do not take the time to continue to home their craft. I can polish my own nails at home! I want classy nail art and thats practically non existent in Montgomery. Took a chance on J&K, so glad I did. My nails are beautiful and an exact replica of the picture provided. Skillful, knowledgeable and gracious staff there; great music and overall experience. I enjoy my current salon for beautiful painted nails, but I will continue to visit J&K for art! The best nail place Ive been to in Montgomery. They really take pride in their customers and their work!

I went Thursday and got a full set. She did a nice job. I made an appointment for a 10 am pedicure for 2. The RUDE man in the first chair at the door asked if we could wait in our car. That was fine....except we waited an hour. Thank God I had someone with me to pass the time. Then I went back in and ask was their a problem...the same rude person was like were busy...I said I understand however, when a person makes and appointment you are to conduct you schedule accordingly. So, I took my name off the sign in sheet and spent my $100 else where.We are in a pandemic and this place was not practing CDC guidelines nor the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology guidelines. A report has been filed.

The blue gel polish had bubbles and the gold paint was patchy. I conveyed my disappointment and I wasnt even offered an apology.

They do good nails here IF you go to the right person, however that doesn’t makeup for their rudeness or how unprofessional they are. They are also unorganized and the wait time is forever. If you go the nail salon to relax pick a different one.

The salon is kept up to covid standards. The owner Jim did my nails this time and he was concerned with why my polish was chipped from when they were painted before. It feels that they truly care about their product and customers in hoping they are satisfied with their product. I will continue to come back to this salon. The staff is friendly and the owner makes sure to great everyone that comes in and says goodbye as they leave. 😀😀😀

I went for the first time and was very disappointed. I wanted to have a mommy daughter spa day and they told me it will be a little wait so I said ok. A hour and a half went by than three people came after closing, maybe 10mins went by and a tech told me INSTEAD of the three people after me to come back tomorrow or it would be another hour wait. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME SO NOW EVERYTHING IS CLOSED. The worst customer service ever..I will never go back..

Clean salon had a talk with J (owner him and his wife) they do seem like they actually care about the client satisfaction! I called same day for an appointment and they took me in for dip powder and pedicure. Ks mom does the pedicure and shes been doing it for the last year. I was a walk in with friend for pedicures. There was a little wait, to be expected with Covid, but it wasnt that bad. Great service, practiced social distancing, clean, great service. I like that I could choose what flavor they put in the water. They had my feet feeling great! When Im back in town, Ill definitely go back!

The first time I was a walk-in so I expected to wait. The tech said to make an appointment and so I wouldn’t have to wait a long time. Before I left I scheduled my appointment for 3 weeks. Today I showed up for my appointment on time and a lady walks in behind me and they took her back. I went to the tech and informed her that my appointment was at 4 pm. She comes and said can you go an run an errand and come back at 5:30. I felt like that was unacceptable. My time is valuable. Why did I have to make an appointment if they wasn’t following a schedule. Unless you have time to waste don’t go to this establishment. Very unprofessional!!!Yes she did inform me but the last time I check I thought I was a customer as well. What you fail to see is I am a loyal every 2-3 week customer. And she wanted me to wait for a 1 1/2 hours and that is unacceptable. Before I wait way past my appointment time I will find me someone that will appreciate me as customer.

This was my second time having excessive wait time. I had an appointment both times. No apology was offered or communication made. This last time I simply walked out after 30 minutes of waiting and no acknowledgment. The employees speak in their language laughing and talking majority of the time. If you’re not a regular, high paying customer you’re treated like a peasant. I will not be trying this shop again.

Jim and Kate are very professional and their salon is always clean. Every experience has been exceptional. They speak to everyone as they enter and know most on a first name basis. I enjoy going there for a relaxing pedicure and dip nails. They are the best!

I absolutely had the best experience here today 05/26/20, I was referred by a coworker because I just moved here to Montgomery. I made an appointment with the owner Jim and as soon as he added the acrylic and started filing my nails, I made another appointment for a follow up in 2 weeks, I just knew my nails was going to turn out amazing. I was greeted very pleasantly as i walked in, the place was extra clean and the music was soothing in the background. The owner was greeting people entering or calling by their names, thats impressive. I found my nail home lol. This is the best coffin shaped nails Ive ever had. Jim definitely knows what he is doing, Im beyond pleased.

I visited Nails by J&K for the first time today and I had the BEST experience! First of all, my nails look incredible. I got a powder dip manicure and it looks fantastic. My nails are perfectly shaped, everything is smooth, I couldn’t be happier. Better than my nails was the experience I had in the shop. There were tons of repeat customers there- the owners addressed many of them by name! Several people stopped by to give their favorite nail technicians Christmas gifts. When I checked out, the owner gave me a free lotion as a Christmas gift!! Everyone had a positive attitude and the customers there have been going there so long they were discussing their family members with the owners. In the hustle and bustle of the modern world, small family owned businesses are often overlooked. This shop has created a community among its patrons, and they are successful because they do awesome nails!! I cannot recommend this place more, and I will definitely be back! Thank you for a great experience!!

I guess this place was always here but I didnt notice until the remodel. So glad I stopped in. The salon is brand new with a great setup.There are so many options of colors and techniques all for an affordable price.Ive been twice now and both times I was spoken to when I came in. I was given a realistic time that was adhered to when I had to wait. Pedicures and manicures arent rushed and everyone acknowledged when I left.

Loved the pedicure! Beautiful place, really nice staff, great massage chairs and the deluxe package I got was very relaxing and smelled great! My only complaint is my manicure. Love the polish color selections but my tech globed on my polish and it turned out sloppy. & I can see the layers of paint on almost all my nails. I liked the place enough to give it another try some other time but with a different person to paint my nails. Would still recommend, maybe it was his off day.

I would have given this place 5 stars if the tech was more careful. Lets make one thing clear she was skilled, and my nails look gorgeous and I am happy with the way they turned out. She might have just had an off day. But I got cut three times because she wasnt careful. Once with the e-file and twice with the hand file. Also flooded my cuticles and skin with monomer because she wasnt being careful. Im not particularly sensitive to it, but some people are. And that is how people develop allergic reactions to the products. The acrylic or monomer used should never touch the skin. It should get really, really close. But never touch. She used a brush that was way too big, and was using too much monomer to begin with. It isnt normal to feel my nails still curing 3 days after the manicure. Maybe 1 or 1 1/2. But not 3. That means they are using too much monomer and their liquid to powder ratio is off. And btw I do this regularly, and get my cuticles cut regularly. When I told her it burned a little, her excuse was oh that is normal when you get your cuticles cut. Which I know is complete BS, more like dont flood my fricken cuticles with product that shouldnt even be touching skin. I have never had a burning sensation because I got my cuticles cut. I have never had a burning sensation period.

My wife and I are new to Montgomery. She wanted to do a pedicure together today, so we tried a walk-in to two different locations (with 4.5 stars on here) that only had a couple manicurists working, looked pretty fun-down, and had a 45+ minute wait. We walked in here, the place is clean and has a very professional appearance with 6 manicurists, and we were seen within 10 minutes even though there were several people being taken care of and a couple waiting in front of us. We had fantastic service and will definitely come back.

Absolutely love Nails by J&K. Ive gotten three dip manicures and theyre done super well. They last at least 3 weeks and then I only need them redone because of growth. The salon is clean. Everyone is friendly. Prices are really reasonable. Large color selection, especially for dip powder. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but only because theyre so busy - a sign of their excellent work. They always take their time to make sure my nails look great.

I loved the friendly attitude, however pricing was all over the place. The menu stated $35 for deluxe pedi, 35 for full set, and 10 for eyebrow waxing. But they charged me 85.I had to go back next day to have my nails fixed and they charged me another 20, even tho menu stated it was 10.

Absolutely love Jim and Kate. They do a great job and listen to their customers. I tend to ask a lot of questions and theyre always patient and willing to answer. I am also hard on my nails at work and before Id break several within a 2 week period but since Ive been coming here, my nails havent broke or lifted from the back. Perfect job everytime, love them!
