The service is always great every time I take my car here! Always great talking to employees, the speed of service is the best, plus the price is fair! Knowing nothing about cars, I always get worried Ill get charged for random things but I never worry about that at Mavis! Nothing but great things to say about this place!!! Would recommend to anyone!

Thanks a lot for patching my tire each time I brought it in and making me feel like I was crazy and telling me there was nothing wrong with it. Also thanks for making one of those patches in the flipping side wall and possibly causing something serious to happen to my vehicle with my children in it. You guys are the absolute worse and need to be shut down

Cordial, efficient staff. Provided guidance and assistance on purchase of replacement tire rather than attempting to force me into buying more expensive tire or replacing remaining good tires as another tire (membership company) attempted to do when I tried to avail myself of their free flat repair service.

This was my first time using this company. And I must say they were professional and very prompt! U believe I was there every bit of 30 minutes tops! Definitely will be returning..

Great service!I went to 3 different Firestone locations before this and was having a terrible experience with getting a basic flat tire changed. Then I called Mavis and they told me to come by and they fixed it in 30mins.

This place really deserve 5stars I called in today told them my problem they understood got me in and I received same day service they was really sweet and friendly and I also just wanna stay they also earned a loyal new costumer and they really did a good job with my break pads and rotors.

I was traveling out of state when a warning light came on about my tire going flat. I Googled tire place and this business came up. It was 4pm on a Thursday and I was in tears. Not knowing where I was I pulled in front of business got out if car and heard a man tell someone tell her to move she cant park there so a woman came in from chatting with the guys and told me to move my car. She wouldnt address any issue until I moved my car. So I went outside moved car returned back inside where I was completely ignored while she was on phone. I called a Firestone store, asked them if they would help me. They were waiting on me when I arrived to help. This was the rudest most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. #jerks

I understand from others that poor reviews will be removed, but this establishment had my vehicle for over 3 weeks. I reached out to corporate multiple times via phone calls and emails, when after 2 times the vehicle was supposed to be repaired it was still not. The first time they had to come to my work and pick it up the next day because it was not drivable and the second time it would not start. When I picked it up the 3rd time, drove well for a few weeks then a light came on at was accelerating on its own. I took it to the dealership this time and they asked who had been working on the vehicle, they said multiple parts were either attached incorrectly or left unattached. They essentially stated that they are really screwed up my car. It is my understanding the mechanic is no longer employed due to some substance abuse issues. When I reached back out to the District Manager Brian, he stated the vehicle had been gone to long to take responsibility. No paper work was given to me on the 3rd attempt to pick up the vehicle, however I have a receipt where I paid almost $300.00 on the first pick up. The manager at the dealership attempted to have a conversation with Brian and said he was just as defensive with him as he had been with me and this had been his general interaction with him since they have had multiple vehicles from that Mavis that were worked on incorrectly. I have a letter from the dealership stating what all was found incorrectly and will being forwarding it to corporate, however the response was just as poor, trying to get a phone call back or any response. It took multiple attempts to even have a conversation with Brian. At one point I was told they were going to take the vehicle to another Mavis where the mechanic was more familiar with that model at another point I was told if they could not figure it out they would take it to the dealership and pay for them to repair, so when I got the call from the dealership and reached out to Brian I was very disappointed in his response. Also Brian stated he had purchased the parts from the Volkswagen Dealership, however there is no record of any parts being purchased. They kept saying the dealership had sent the wrong part. Also I placed a post on the neighbor hood website and I think it would behoove corporate and Brian to note the comments, they are very much along the same line as the original post and this review. Since I posted yesterday, there are over 30 comments and I think only one is positive. Please feel free to reach out to me, unless you will be removing as one person noted on the neighborhood social media post Next Door. I honestly cant express the frustration and stress this situation has caused me.

The work seemed fine but they only fixed part of the problem and did not bother to tell me that the issue was not resolved. I had to take it back a couple days later and they told me another issue but they could not fix it because they do not have the proper equipment. This problem that they found was connected to what they fixed and now I have to spend more money to fix what I know they saw when they supposedly fixed my issue. This is the Old Shell Road Mavis. DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!

Update 28April- I contacted corporate as requested and was told the District Manager would contact me on Monday. It is Tuesday and I still have not received any response from anyone with Mavis Tire in Mobile or AlabamaOriginal Tire tech first week of April 2021 was amazing and did great work. Advised me on some other work that was needed.Went back for the work and they price gouged and waited way to much time. Had an appointment for the work (rear end ONLY) at 8am. Was told that it’d be about an hour for the work and they’d call if anything changed.By 1030a came back to NO work done, no phone calls from the location, and all 4 tires off. Was told that the all 4 shocks and calipers needed immediate replacement in addition to the rear rotors and pads. When I asked about why did I need an appointment if nothing was going to be done, was told ‘we only have one mechanic and we can’t fire anyone’. No explanation for why this wasn’t relayed to me with drop off, or why I wasn’t called.I work 3rd shift right now and had not been to bed yet. I insisted that he just put the tires back on and I’ll do the work myself. When I got my car back, brake fluid is suddenly empty, brake light is now on, and calipers have been messed with.Taller Manager was unhelpful, sexist, and rude. Walked off without printing out a quote when I said I just needed the tires back on. Also insisted that I go into the work area with open toed shoes because there’s no requirement for closed toed shoes.- former mechanic and tire tech; just looks like a woman

Great service & prices

Honest! Honest! Honest! They work as a team here. The morale is tangible. They took the time to explain what I needed and why. They even provided some DIY if I wanted to tackle another issue for another day. They are so genuinely nice and smiled and joked with me and the other employees and I was here about 30 minutes. They go ABOVE and beyond. If you need your college student to go someplace safe, affordable and friendly, Mavis Discount Tire is it!!!!There was only room for 5 stars, but I believe they need 10!!

I paid them to install a motor mount. When I opened the hood that night I found this. Thats part of the motor mount I paid them to install! I also paid them to install a power steering pump. It leaked so much that it caught on fire.

Staff is VERY friendly, great customer service.

Great customer service, always helpful. Dealership tried to get me to buy new breaks and Mavis told me they didn’t feel comfortable asking me to pay to change them out yet. That’s why I always follow up with Mavis. They have never tried to do work just for money and always help me out!

I wasn’t pleased at all!! Wasn’t much of a “discount” and I they put my brake pads on wrong. I had to come back only for them to lolly gag around and not do anything in a professional manner. Highly recommend going somewhere else. And they also lost an important bolt and screw. This place is a joke!!!

The staff was friendly and had me out in time promised . The waiting area has a nice table and chairs so I was able to get some work done while I was waiting.

Staff went above and beyond advertised service. I needed two tires replaced and requested that one is kept as a spare. The technician realized that from my remaining tires, one of them, the tread was basically at its end. He replaced that one with the good one I had left(the one I asked to keep as a spare). Thanks!

Dropped a tire and rim off to be changed because I couldn’t leave my car. When I came back to pick it up they put the tire on for me so I wouldn’t have to keep riding on the donut spare until I got home to change it. Great guys and even greater service.
