This lordland very disrespectful and rude and I was asking them maintained never didnt show up my house need fix almost two month. They are dirty business. I am recommended dont go there sign up application they wont gave you advice or at all.

Interactions really vary by who you talk to, but I found myself just not looking forward to any interactions with them. Some shady practices (make sure you double check EVERYTHING and keep receipts). Would not recommend

I moved from Montana during August of 2019 and decided to rent through BW Parks without having seen the home. For the price I feel I really got a deal, and the house was true to its pictures. During my one year at the location I was always treated with respect. I feel that the value of going through BW Parks is that you are talking to actual people who are willing to work with you and meet your needs. My maintenance requests were responded to promptly, and while my home was being shown during the pandemic, social distancing protocol was followed to my specifications. I can vouch that if you are a good, clean, communicative renter, they are good property managers.

They are the most disrespectful people I have ever met. The way they speak to you is very unprofessional.

I dont mean this in a bad way its my personal experience Its ok but not helping or listening to a disabled person out your help them. Find a new place is nuts and kicking out a disabled person is nuts but I do like there houses but I am finally hoping to find some other place to rent through they said my trash is all over the yard I am sary I been very sick lately u can judge my pictures sary I al most died December 7 Because of helth complications and they gave me a med I was allergic to at er that made me not feel good for a long time than had a big surgery to save my life that took the wind out of me for a month now we are in early March when I found I was just getting sicker and was in er from the 4th through 11 ish than in nursing home tell the 18th of March than found out my friend could not be at my bed side any more than I been depressed about it now I am having surgery again at end of July and I am not sary that doctors told me no more than 10 lbs weight limit.

They trespassed my apartment and broke walls. Never asked or notified me before. After that, they tried to charge the repair fee. I believe it was illegal. The white old man, who looked like a manager, was rude and ignored my complaint.

The BW Parks apartments are so beautiful inside, high ceilings textured walls and flawless paint jobs alongside friendly staff at the office. They have some really cool feature items at this location. Not everyone gets to see these though. If you ask about the hunting trophies, you may get to also have a sneak peek at the very one of a kind display in the back.

If you’re looking to rent in the Lafayette area DO NOT RENT FROM BW PARKS!! As most of you know my 7 week old daughter, Alani passed away on September the 7th. Due to being in Indy for 2 months and my family being by our sides for the last week of my daughters life our rent was paid late in September (on the 10th). I explained to them what had happened and they say we are so sorry but we will still be charging you late fees. AFTER I paid September rent they then gave us an eviction notice. Now in October, after paying rent on the 1st, we get a letter in the mail. Now our late fees are from $150 to $225 because our late fee is now accruing late fees. The lack of compassion in this world is sickening.UPDATE: AFTER PAYING $225 THEY ARE STILL CHARGING US $135. They wrote us a letter (never called) on the 6th, it didn’t even get to the mail in Indianapolis until the 9th THEN when I got it, I paid it. NOW since that letter was sent on the 6th and we paid it on the 16th we are being charged another $135. BUT that $135 we don’t have to pay until the 1st of November. Why did that stop accruing now but not on the 6th???Not only are we dealing with the loss of Alani, but now it feels as though our home is in jeopardy. Does BW Parks care? Absolutely not. They got their extra $360 out of us for late fees. You all should be ashamed of your character. It’s disgusting.

Do not go thru theses scamming theives they try to 1 steal your money they dont spray for rodent and yes they do have rodent like roaches. they have mold in the walls they try to break into your apartment they dont honor huds rules by giving 24 hrs notice or letting them have visitors theyve tresspassed my friends they have tried breaking into my home while i was naked and in bed and how they try to steal your money is by saying they never received your rent money if i could give negative 999 trillion stars i would cuz they are horrible

Be careful. This company will charm you with its convenient, cute downtown Lafayette residences... But once you sign up, they screw you. They do NOT clean or fix up an apartment before you move in (like they are supposed to) and then they take it out of your deposit on the back-end when you move out if the apartment is not sparkling. So they basically take money on both ends without doing their part of the job. And once you actually move in and find problems with the apartment? Good luck having them come fix the problems. My roommates and I had to ask them repeatedly to come fix problems with the apartment, and the company actually was rude to us when we asked. I also had difficulty getting my deposit returned to me, merely because one of my roommates re-signed the lease with different people, and BW Parks told me I had to get my deposit from the new tenants. That was the most unbelievable part of all. I did finally get my deposit from Brent Parks (who is the only reasonable person who works there) but it took forever and a lot of hoops to jump through. Just -- be careful.

These folks have been consummately professional and helpful. The got us in an EXCELLENT property in a timely manner. And took care of the 2 maintenance issues we had IMMEDIATELY. We can positively recommend B W Parks for serving those who need to rent or have a place to rent and need professional representation.

I have never felt so disrespected in my life while renting. At first I was happy and loving the establishment; Now i feel disrespected and not trusted for things that never even happened. I just want to recieve the same respect as a fellow human being. I feel like another dollar sign to them. Also i have never been behind on rent and i always am punctual with maintenance requests.

This guy is the textbook definition of a slumlord. He doesn’t fix things. He doesn’t care about his buildings being trashed. He is just about the money. You may be clean and quiet... but that doesn’t matter. There are multiple units of dysfunction and garbage!

My roommate and I have been renting from BW Parks for almost a year now with almost no complaints. You must understand that the building OWNERS are in charge of repairs. Those below with poor experiences had building owners who did not do their job well. Brent happens to be the manager AND owner of our property and has always treated us well.Weve had small issues with a/c, microwave, gas heat, etc, but they were quick to respond and fixed things within a day or two.The only cons of our rental are due to the age of the house, the neighbors, and the location. Brent and his team have been very fair with the management.

This is the first review and a warning to future downtown renters, since I still have a lease with BW Parks. Do not believe Kathy or anyone else if you are from out of town and they say Yes there is street parking available outside your apartment with the city for a fee if you live outside a 2 hour parking zone. There is no street parking for you, and if you are not careful you will be ticketed by the parking authorities.

Do not rent from here, they will purposely milk your security deposit, and pick the most expensive way possible to fix the unit. So I moved out July 11th they told me they sent the security deposit out come to find out they never sent it they were just playing games. The manager there when I called him out started acting like he couldnt hear me over the phone. I made sure to mow the grass before I left but somehow they still want to charge me for mowing the grass and those carpets were clean, but they want to clean them anyway. Its a greedy corrupted place and if you rent from here you just wasted so much money and time. Your Welcome. Oh they want to charge me for fixing all these problems but they never fix the leaking washing machine.

They are bias and will not fix anything. They kicked us out because they said we were costing them money by needing things repaired. Thats what they told the judge. Never been late on rent the whole time we rented from them the 4 yrs we did. Plus, we had hard wood floors thr out our whole town home, not a single ounce of carpet. Once we moved out we got a bill stating we owed them almost $300 for carpet cleaning.

Do not rent from these people! Had me sign a lease. I pay electric and gas. Found out right away I was paying gas for upstairs apt. Made them put gas in their name. But I am still supplying the electric to run the furnace for upstairs neighbor. Was told by Troy this was common practice, and my furnace wasnt being used to heat upstairs anyway. WRONG I have 5 supply vents, furnace has 7. He then said that those vents probably didnt go anywhere. He doesnt realize I am HVAC certified. Even told me they had been to court over this before. Replaced windows when I first moved in. Still waiting for them to finish the job, almost a month later. wish I would have read these reviews before I signed lease, which they broke anyway when they had me put gas in my name. Said they didnt know. they will lie and rip you off. Be very careful if you rent from these people.

Worst people to rent from!! They dont follow their own lease agreement and trick you. Dont care about you once they have your money, and are the most inconsiderate people. Expecting 4 month notice of moving out, expecting you to be packed and ready to show the house for over 3 months. If you want something worth your money and time, look elsewhere. Dont trust these people! Scammers is all they are. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Brent called me. I put an application in on indeed. His 1st question was are you looking for any type of benefits. I said insurance would be nice. He said we dont offer insurance, i dont think you would be interested in the job... he then hung up.

Awful Experience. I rented from them after a divorce when money was tight. I spent my first week in the apartment using the restroom in a local bar because my toilet didnt work. I was promised that the broken screen door would be fixed, it never was. And then they robbed me of my security deposit at the end of the lease. I smiled when I found out that the place I rented blew up last the other week because it was being used as a meth lab. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!

Ive rented not only from B.W. Parks Management, but Cochran Apartments and Stephen Hislope as well in my years at Purdue. Out of those three companies and the ones friends of mine have rented from, I have to say B. W. Parks Management is the WORST Ive ever heard/experienced. When we first moved in in August 2011, the guy who came to hook up the gas said we needed to get the pilot holes redrilled. After telling the rental office about it, it wasnt fixed until NOVEMBER because according the the office, the owner doesnt have the capital right now, so he will fix it once it starts to become colder. Never mind that the hot water ran off of gas, which increased our bill by at LEAST $20 a month. Also, not all the windows had screens on them, and the few that did generally only had half or quarter screens that would expand to the width of the window, and did not seal the window at all from bugs/debris/etc from outside. Because of this, apparently fleas were found in the house upon moving out, which ended up costing $100 out of our security deposit. On top of this, even though the house had every single piece of trash, we were still charged $100 for rubbish removal. As if these deductions werent bad enough, I JUST got my security deposit TODAY, even though state law dictates that the security deposit should be back within 45 days of surrendering your keys. I had to call over 20 times within this last semester to FINALLY get someone to tell me what was taking so long to get it back to me, and that was finally answered within this last week. Their excuse was well, we didnt have a new address for you to mail it to, so we just mailed it to the rental address and hoped that it would get forwarded to you. Not only was this a blatant lie, because soon after I had moved out I had given them an address to forward the security deposit to, but I had also forwarded my mail to my current residence before I even moved out. Because of their screw up, the then decided that the stop payment fee was to be split between us because it was neither ours nor your fault the payment didnt arrive to you. Any self respecting business that valued their reputation would at least call to verify an address if there were any questions about repayment, especially when they are breaking the law on getting the security deposit back to you.If youre desperate when looking for a place, this company is generally the cheapest place you can find, however, the price directly corresponds to the quality of not only the house, but the service as well. If you value your mental health, NEVER sign a lease with these people. I would highly recommend renting from Mr. Hislope over these people any day. He actually cares and values his property, is completely willing to work with you on any sort of issues regarding payment (for example, if your paycheck is coming late a few days and you wont make rent on the exact date), and fixes all issues with the apartment/house within a day, even if its on a weekend.

They never fix anything and then when you move out even if you fixed everything yourself they still will sue you! if you keep calling them to fix things or because your neighbors are too loud the B**ch that sits at the front desk in their office, Katie WILL CALL YOU NAMES SUCH AS YOU LITTLE S**T! AND SHE WILL THREATEN YOU AND SAY THINGS LIKE IF YOU DONT SHUT UP AND STOP CALLING WE WILL KICK YOU OUT!!! this all happened to me at their south st apt that sits on the hill across the street from the catholic church. Plus their BUILDINGS ARE UNSAFE! I had gary bennett a local fire inspector come over and he wrote tickets for FIRE SAFETY VIOLATIONS that all added up to $15,000.00 and B.W.
