Called Express to see if they can replace my sensor in my car and they said they could. Well I took my car early Saturday morning expecting for them to replace it. Turns out they couldn’t find the part anywhere. That’s fine but they didn’t have the decency to call and tell me so I could’ve picked my vehicle up. My car was there ALL day until up to closing time. I called them to see if it was ready and that’s when the service guy told me. That was so unprofessional! I also got my brakes done in March and they are squeaking and making noises as if I need new ones. I have been a loyal customer to the Express on University for YEARS but service has definitely gone down. I will not be returning to this location anymore.

I couldnt be more pleased with my experience at this location. I was in a little bit of a rush and needed an oil change and these guys made it so simple and easy. Not only were they super efficient with time, they were also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location and I will be back.

No wait time very friendly customer service explained everything took care of everything in a timely manner. So why not five stars? Its very simple an air filter and oil change is $100 think about that folks and air filter and oil change is a $100 let that sink in $100

Update on my original review... These guys have gone above & beyond for me today. I see some of the bad reviews on here about how they arent good with women/take advantage of women, they mess stuff up & wont make it right, etc. I can tell you firsthand that has not been my experience with them at all.I had an issue with something that turns out now I honestly dont believe was their mistake to begin with but they took care of it for me anyway, without charging me a dime. Now thats outstanding service! Thats the kind of people I like to spend my money with & do future business with - honest, hardworking guys that truly care about their customers.I dealt with Jim & James & they were both great - very nice & professional. Jim made sure I was taken care of & when I picked my truck back up James (the mechanic) took the time to explain to me what happened & what they did to fix it. (Thank you so much to both of you guys!) Youll absolutely have my business again. 🙂These guys are on top of it! They had plenty of staff & took good care of both of our vehicles. Were very pleased with this location. Thank you guys!

I called regarding roadside assistance. I spoke with James and he was beyond helpful! I am a young woman who is clueless about things with a car and he explained everything to me over the phone! I was able to check what exactly was leaking and he told me who to contact and how to get to him because I am not from here. Excellent customer service James!!!

This place honors what is on their website even if they have no knowledge of it. Even though it was an extra 15 minutes away from the one on University it was worth it. Fast and honest people thank you Chris and thank you James.Do not go to the one on University they did not even try .

My wife purchased 2 new tires and was told she had a warranty on them. Less than 2 weeks later she ran over a staple and contacted them when her tire was low after she got off work. Their closing hours was @ 6pm and she navigated through all kinds of traffic to arrive 10mins before closing. They denied repairing her tire claiming it was not able to be repaired and sent her home on it and wouldnt honor the warranty. It literally went flat twice in our driveway. I took it to Mavis Tires the next day and they repaired it for free. The fact that they denied a woman service at that establishment sending her off with a potentially hazardous tire is beyond me.

Fair prices and courteous tech! The only place Ill take my vehicle from now on!!

I get service work done here on all 3 vehicles in our family. I’ve also purchased tires, brake work, couple minor repairs. Great job guys!!

DO NOT GO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE A WOMEN AND ARE ALONE. They charged me $70 for a simple oil change which it should really be 42$. Very sexist and unprofessional. They should not be doing this to women. Will never do business with them again. Very sad and disappointing.

This place is a rip off! Jim the manager was so unprofessional. Guy charged me 92.00 for an oil change. When I pulled in, no one said anything to me about my oil change and the guys just started working on my vehicle. He had originally said that it would be around 50.00 for my oil change, but when I came to pay my total he said 92.49! When I asked about it, he was very rude and unapologetic. I will never visit this place again because they are shady... There was another person that said that they were shady and have poor customer service. I DO NOT recommend this place for anything!

I have used these guys alot with never an issue..however..this time the tech added to my windshield washer reservoir and it stoped working.The motor is working BUT when i checked reservoir there are curled white plastic shavings in itCalled manager told him what was going on..he said did NOT come from them and there would be a charge to flush it out.Considering the reservoir was replaced sept of 2019 and my fluid was yellow and new fluid green..i have no doubt the shavings came from them.Will NEVER go back to this location..or maybe any of them due to the tact they sabotage ti make more money.Lesson LEARNED!!

My husband and I come here all the time. They have always taken good care of our vehicles. They are prompt, polite, and ask u questions about ur car instead of them telling u about ur car. I know my car better than anyone and i know what i hear and what work i have done on it. They dont try to sell u on something u dont need

I came here on a whim after I tried going some place else, and I was very pleased with the service I received. Jim was very helpful, and he saved me a lot of money by being honest unlike most places, especially here in Mobile. He was very knowledgeable, and he gained my trust very easily. I went here for an oil change at 10 in the morning and was told that they did not have time to complete my oil change because they were shortstaffed and it ties up their manpower. I have never had this experience before at any oil express I have visited with this same vehicle. I was then told I could leave my car and he would get to it. It’s an oil change and is not by appointment.... it’s first come first serve. What’s worse is I went to another location on Grelot and was in and out in 15 min. Seems to me they did not want my service. I will never go to this location again.

I go 20 miles out of my way to come to this location. Everyone is very honest and kind. They never pressure me to buy any unnecessary add ons that I do not need at the time. I will continue to always come to this location for the great customer service.

Hmmm. Had to ask for deals. Kind of promising a lot they may be too rushed to complete. They marked that customer okayed when I was never asked, such as on windshield wipers. And more. Had to mention saw oil spilled on engine and ask for wipe up. Super sweet attendant though. Nice clean place. You get to sit in your car.

Mr James who conducted a vehicle inspection was super knowledgeable and honest! I know more about my mothers vehicle history now because I stopped here. Now I know instead of guessing because one thing I hate is that me can it that guests and he even showed me why the car was lifted up what the issue was. Also mr. Chris was amazing as well that gave me my oil change even help me with my light bulb he even made sure I was topped off and told me about a leak that I had now I am going to do more business with Express and mobile I already had a relationship established in my hometown in Birmingham but its good to know if I visit another location that I still get good service. Great place. My second time going. Only thing I find weird is the bill shows 35$ for oil filter and 50$ for oil. I supply my own factory ford filter (which costs $19) and they take $4 off at the end of the bill for “customer supplied filter discount” why is their brand filter more than ford? And why do u still have to pay for their filter if I’m not using it?

They put in a new plug and it is stuck. Gotta find time and $ to go back

Every time weve been here something has gone wrong with our vehicles afterwards... they actually cost us alot of money bc they hand tightened a oil filter and by the time my wife got home my truck had no oil and was running really hot, engine was ticking and rattling badly. ended up cracking one of my heads behind this... do not go here

They changed my oil within ten minutes, and they even helped me with a few extra need-tos (cleaned my battery terminals, washed my windshield, lubed my door hinges), all for an extremely reasonable $40. Ill go to their service shop in the future when I get my fan blower fixed. Highly recommended.

They were prompt and jovial as they quickly completed my tire change and the 5 other cars there! Dre was incredibly helpful, especially when helping me count my change!

These guys are so helpful! I brought my pup with me to get my oil changed and she got scared of something and ended up breaking my key off in my car while it was running. They really helped me out and fixed my key as much as possible in order for me to get home to my other car key. Thanks again yall!!

Both times I’ve needed someone in a pinch, Express Oil has helped me. First time, they helped me with a new battery and new tires. Second time, they helped me with my O2 sensor, spark plugs, and valve cover gasket. Definitely coming back for all my vehicle needs.

He got me a price, I shopped around and eventually came back to them because they had the best price with a great warranty and great service. They are SO expensive. Not only are they expensive but they are also slow. Then, they ask for you to sit in their waiting area which is pretty small, and if they are busy like they were the day I was there, you have no where to sit. There was even people standing outside because there was no room in their waiting area.
