I absolutely love Maya at Salt. When I moved up to the cites I was so nervous about finding a new stylist. My friend booked their spa package that came with a blowout for my birthday and I met Maya. Instantly when I met her I knew she was going to be my new hair stylist. I felt so comfortable with her and I loved the way she communicated what she saw in the photos I would show her to make sure we were on the same page. I highly recommend Maya to everyone. *Bonus the shop is absolutely adorable, I love shopping before my appointment & their kombucha from Northstar is soooo good! 💕

This was my first time at a hair salon and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Maya was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. She did occasional check-ins to get my input on the length which I really appreciated. I am so happy with my haircut and will definitely be returning in the future!

I did the full spa experience pedicure and I LOVED the experience. This was my first visit and I was blown away with how beautiful the salon and spa were.This service is essentially a body massage and a pedicure. You get the full spa experience - comfy white robe and all. It was incredibly relaxing and warm.The woman providing my services, Lesa, was lovely!The only downside is the pedicure portion. First off, I wasn’t able to get gel polish during this service. If I would have known this, I wouldn’t have done this. I honestly didn’t even know people still used old school polish! I have been getting gel pedicures every 4-5 months for 10 years and they always look freshly done and never chipped. During my Salt pedicure, Lesa remarked that she couldn’t believe my pedicure was done over three months ago as it looked brand new. My toe nails grow very slowly and I only have to get a pedicure every 4-6 months. All this to say that regular polish doesn’t last at all and I can’t imagine why anyone would prefer this over gel? I took these photos two days after my spa pedicure and you can see the polish is starting to chip and there’s varying degrees of coverage. There is also some weird shaping to my nails.I’m bummed as I got this pedicure a week before my bachelorette party and assumed it would last for my wedding (less than a month away which should have been no problem as my normal pedicures last at least 3 months, sometimes 6) but it’s clear I will have to pay again to get another pedicure before my October wedding. I will continue to only ever get gel pedicures.Unfortunately, because the restrictions of the spa pedicure with gel, I won’t get this service again. I will book massages and pedicures separately from now on! (Whenever I can afford to splurge at Salt again!)Definitely would return for other services at Salt though! Lovely space and people.

The space is beautiful, and I will definitely be coming back again to get my hair done. I loved the little gift bag with some goodies in it for new customers. I look forward to trying some coffee and treats next time!

I had a fantastic first time experience at SALT. My husband got me the Mini SALT Package II and it was incredible. Each service was relaxing and rejuvenating, and the staff made me feel pampered throughout the day. I would highly recommend SALT for your next spa experience, whether youre doing a single service or going all out and booking a package.

I received a 1 hour prenatal massage with Genova today. She was SO polite and professional. It was a wonderful experience and I would see her again in a heartbeat. Between the foot bath at the beginning and full 60 min (even a bit longer!) massage, it was everything I was looking for. She knew where to use more pressure in certain areas than others and again, was extremely professional.

This was definitely a surprise and delight experience! It was such a relaxing and peaceful experience. Starting with the footbath, followed by a wonderful and long facial, neck/shoulder/arms/hands/foot massage. The whole experience lasted 2 hours!! It was bliss. Ella was thorough, genuine and had a calming presence and touch. What makes this even nicer is that the gratuity is included. When your service is done, you just leave. It was really wonderful!

Jayda did a great job with my color and styling, most of all had the intuition that I wasnt in the most talkative mood and rolled with it without being awkward. Gave a really great shampoo and scalp massage. Much needed stress relief after a very difficult week. Thank you!

Absolutely loved my haircut! What seemed like an intimidating split end removal, Piper executed it with ease and kept my length while also making my hair super soft and removing the damaged ends from my layered hair. I will definitely be back! (Also the gift shop portion was so cute! I loved the aesthetic of the salon and got a lot of cute MN handmade goods ☺️)

This is only my second time visiting Maya, but I am so grateful that my sister recommended her! She is so kind and personable, and overall does a great job. Previous stylists I have visited have been hesitant to make cut and style recommendations but she is great at making recommendations that push me out of my comfort zone and leave me feeling great about my hair. She also is knowledgable and provides great product recommendations without suggesting that I completely redo my haircare routine.

Booked a 60 minute massage - Molly was wonderful!! Very polite and knew I was there to relax so kept talking to a minimum. Highly recommend!! Oh, the foot scrub at the beginning is also a huge perk!

Javier is such a talented colorist. He really listens to what I am looking for and masterfully executes a plan to achieve that. I do not trust my hair color to anyone else. I love that his technique leaves my hair looking natural — I never want the “ I’ve just had my hair colored” look, rather I want to look like a slightly better version of myself. He always achieves this!

From the sounds of waves softly crashing overhead to the dimmed salt lamp lighting and plush robes, everything has been picked to deliver a luxury experience. Farrah has a true talent when it comes to massage, being able to quickly identify focus areas. My first ever massage (2012?) was an eye opener for me. I thought it was the most amazing thing that I’d ever done. That changed yesterday. From the moment I walked in, the experience was tremendous. It smelled amazing, it was warm and inviting. Erin was kind from the first second, and I needed that kindness so much. The extra touch of the foot scrub and awesome books to relax even more was fantastic. The massage itself was the best I’ve had, and I loved the massage room, too. Everything was great, I love coming here and Mal did an incredible job like always! My only complaint is that the chairs are a little uncomfortable for tall people because the backs don’t go up very high. Other than that, I had an excellent experience!

Irina was excellent. Ive never been to SALT before (nor had a facial ever), and it was clear that Irina is super knowledgeable about skincare and skin health, so during both the pre- and post-facial consultations, she took time to learn about my skin and make recommendations, as well as educate me both on the process and how I can better care for my skin moving forward. Throughout, she checked in with me on how I was feeling, put me at ease with new things (extractions!), and it was a really great experience. Very relaxing and it felt super luxurious.A note to the spa overall is that I would really love to see them take some steps to be a little more plus-size inclusive, physically-speaking. While they were awesome in terms of how I was treated in social interactions, the robes are hilariously small, and the table also wasnt wide enough for me to lay my arms at my sides, which was actually pretty uncomfortable. Ive been at other spas where there are extra attachments on the side of the table, more sizes available, etc., and it can really change the experience! Id really love to recommend SALT as a luxury option for the plus size community in MSP because everything else was so great!

I feel like I got scammed by this salon. I was treated very poorly when I was there and did not enjoy the experience at all. Despite asking for a cool toned, light brown hair color (not far from my natural hair color), my hair was dyed almost black with hints of red. I expressed how I was not happy with the outcome and instead of making it right, the stylist argued with me to try to convince me that it was my fault it turned out that way. The owner has yet to respond to my concerns. Even a Great Clips would offer to fix my hair at no charge in order to make the situation right.

I absolutely loved my first experience at Salt. Lesa did an awesome job on my nails and cultivated a relaxing vibe. Will be returning for sure!

I rarely ever get my hair done professionally (trust issues and what not) but I decided to take the plunge this summer and got my hair balayaged by Piper, who is a super sweet lady - I can tell she’s passionate and talented at her work. The end result is amazing! Already booked a second appointment with her :)
