I have been getting acrylics done for 7 years across multiple cities and multiple salons, and Mary at Nailish is by far the best nail tech I have EVER worked with. I have been seeing Mary every 2 weeks for the past year and our appointments are still the highlight of my week every week. My friends and family are shocked that Mary actually helped me stop my 20 year old nail biting habit!! I love Mary and have come to consider her as a friend; she is so talented, professional, and personable. She always takes her time and does an incredible job. You can tell that she is passionate about her work, so much so that many of my friends have started to see Mary on a regular basis after seeing my nails week after week. I am moving to Los Angeles this month, but every time I come back to visit my family I will be stopping at Nailish to see Mary. She is just THAT good. Attached are just a few of the incredible designs she has done for me in the past year.

So I’ve been a regular here for a few months because I was having trouble finding a good nail spot, always thought it was decent but my last three appointments were absolutely ridiculous. I request a technician and almost never get them ( so why even ask who I would prefer? ) then I’m told I need to request who I want even with proof in email that I did because apparently I wasn’t telling the truth lol. Also they are always in a rush every time so I tend to get nervous they will mess up my nails every time.This appointment specifically was terrible, one gentleman started to remove my dip with way too much acetone and then the acetone dripped all the way down to my sleeve cuff causing it to stain and nothing was discounted off for that when I brought it to their attention. And then I wanted chrome nails and these just looked so horrible and that’s all I can say it’s not worth coming back anymore they don’t really appreciate regular customers.

TLDR: Avoid this place or at least the nail technician, Cindy.I went to get a dip manicure with a friend. I had an appointment booked with a specific technician that had been recommended to us by another friend. When we walked in the door (20 min. early) we were greeted, checked in and directed to choose our nail colors. Within two minutes a different woman came up and asked what we were getting done, we told her dip manicures. Then we went back to selecting our color which we added in buffer time so we could. The woman prompted us three times to come sit down, the first two we explained we were still choosing our color, but the third we just brought the color choices with us. Then she immediately started working on my nails filing them and I was trying to still choose a color. She introduced herself as Cindy, this was not the technician we had booked with, but didnt think to much of it. We had only been there for five minutes at this point. I chose a color I would like and she went to grab it, turns out they didnt have enough of it.. so I had to choose something else. While this was unnecessarily stressful, it only got worse. She asked what Id like, or I think she did, I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Masks make it challenging to talk and hear, but we figured it out. I told her to just have my nails not too long, but filed so theyre round at the tips. She started filing and grinding my nail down for the gel. Didnt do any of the typical manicure maintenance I expected, but just started on applying the powder. Im not sure what she was thinking, but this woman filed into my nail so hard she got down to my nail bed on three different nails. Four times I had to pull away and say youre filing my skin. Those nails on my left hand all have a weird slant on that same side. She didnt do a very good job brushing away the gel powder so when she applied the liquid, I ended up with hardened polish on my skin and underneath my nail. On the parts of my skin/nail that she rubbed raw there is now glue there, which at least prevents in from bleeding. Im very disappointed especially because a dip manicure is a bit more expensive and supposed to last 4-6weeks. Which is great when its done well.. but.. that just wasnt the case here.

I used to use several different salons for my nails and once I started coming to Nailish I won’t go anywhere else in Minneapolis. The salon itself is so tasteful, bright and clean.All of the employees I’ve see are great but then I found Mary who is now my favorite. She is so professional and also friendly and engaging. She knows my nail needs and my manicures and pedicures are always gorgeous.I’ve also started getting facials with Mary and they are amazing. Trust me I’ve gotten facials at many places over the years and Mary has been the best. Nailish is a true haven for South Minneapolis. Great environment and lovely employees. I can’t recommend enough how wonderful it is.

Brides - go here for your wedding nails!!I took my entire bridal party, mom, MIL and GMIL here for our pre-wedding nail appointments and we all left with the most GORGEOUS manicures and pedicures. They let us have the place to ourselves for the night and we were able to bring in food and champagne. The whole team is so professional, they gave recommendations but also listened to what we wanted. The entire salon is so clean and beautiful! I’ll definitely be back 😊

I have been going to Nailish for the last several months now, and have always walked out happy with my services! I mostly see Mary for my manis, but I would trust any of the techs for my needs. They take their time, are attentive and if you arent happy for any reason they dont let you leave until you are feeling good. My dip lasts for more than 2 weeks and they have every color imaginable.

My future daughter in law reserved the place for her upcoming wedding at least a month ago. She had 10 people to get nails and pedicures done. Jenny did my nails and pedicure. I felt like she was trying to hurry. I have been getting my nails and pedicure done for years. I would not go back there. All they look at was the $$$ not at taking care of the customers.

I’m obsessed with Nailish! I’ve been coming here for almost a year now and have never been disappointed! I’ve never been the most creative so I love letting them help pick out my colors and designs! I came in for a full set and while my nail tech was super sweet and the nail shape was decent, the end result was pretty shoddy. The acrylics are thick and wavy/lumpy and the gel was applied too thickly. For $63 plus tip, there was very little attention to detail shown. I was out in an hour where other, better places usually take an hour and a half to two hours for a full set because good work takes time. Im assuming its due to overlooking because the place was packed. I wont be returning. Ill be soaking these off and going back to Little Luxuries in Uptown.Update: This place uses the very toxic (and FDA banned) MMA acrylic monomer. AVOID

After many years and countless salons, I’ve finally found my place! Nailish is has a gorgeous, clean interior and a super friendly and kind staff. Every time I have had my nails done, the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. 10/10! Thank you Nalish!

I had a CBD pedicure with Rita and it was soo relaxing! I love getting pedicures here because they put hygienic practices high in their values. They use a disposable liner in the foot basin to keep germs out of the pipes and avoid spreading infections. The salon is also super cute and clean! Highly recommend.

Beware. The technician was mindlessly aggressive when exfoliating my heels. Before I knew it they were shredded - both heels. I had been a loyal customer, but the last few visits haven’t been great. After this incident, I won’t go back.

First time trying this place and it was wonderful! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my nail tech did a terrific job. They have a vegan nail polish option and it was probably the best pedicure massage Ive ever had. I would recommend this nail salon to anyone, I will definitely be back.

Their shaping isn’t that good and the nails come out pretty thick. And their ig pictures mostly show photos off Pinterest, not nails they do. They’re also quite expensive. Not that worth it. But the environment is very friendly and clean. The staff are really nice as well.

I just had a deluxe pedicure with Helen and it was one of the best pedicures Ive ever had! It was a little busy when I showed up but I was greeted right away. My pedicure was not rushed and Helen did a great job. I will be back again soon!

Both appointments Ive made had to be rescheduled due to staffing issues. When I went in for my appointment the first time it was very busy and chaotic. My pedicure was very rushed but the gel polish for my manicure and pedicure were applied nicely. My second appointment was reschedule and ultimately canceled. I was hoping the first time I went in was a one time issue because it was a Saturday afternoon. However, after the scheduling issue with my second appointment and disappointment in the pampering aspect of the pedicure, I have no interests in returning. Everything felt very rushed.

The nail tech who did my pedicure was fantastic! Very professional and polite. The gel was high quality and is lasting a very long time.The only negative thing I have to say about this place is how the nail techs were being treated by upper management. There was a Caucasian male at the reception who was very rude and spoke in quite a degrading way to the nail techs. Not sure if he was the owner, or who he was to the business, but it was very unprofessional. I went with a group of ladies and the conversation was brought up, as I was not the only one who witnessed this behavior. I hope management changes for the sake of the nail techs, as they work extremely hard. As great as my experience was, I will not be supporting a business that tolerates this type of behavior towards their employees.

I have gotten gel manicures many times and have never had gel nails chip so quickly! Within 12 hours two of my nails chipped - I called and they said I could come in and get them fixed. I went in the following morning and they quickly fixed up the two broken nails. By the end of the next day, 3 more nails had chipped! I got them done on a Tuesday for a Thursday wedding and by the time I got to the wedding half my nails had chipped.

Cindy at Nailish was PHENOMENAL!!! So incredibly sweet and thorough. I got the aromatherapy pedicure (highly recommend). Cindy was lovely to chat with and made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted. I accidentally bumped one of my nails during the drying process and she insisted on re-doing the whole nail to make sure it was perfect. I really appreciated all the care she put in to ensure I had the best experience here. Will DEFINITELY be back soon :) Thank you, Cindy!!!!

Their online scheduling is awesome. They have the best selection of dipping powder brands and colors in the metro. Nail tech Tim always does an awesome job on my dip manicure. I look forward to getting a pedicure here this spring.

I decided to try this place because its a new location near me. I was pleasantly surprised. Typically nail salons can be loud and chaotic. This place was the exact opposite. There were quite a few people being serviced, however it was quiet and calming . As I looked around I noticed everyone just relaxing and not chatting. I didnt even notice anyone on their devices. This is a very relaxing atmosphere with music playing softly in the background. The place is also very clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing. Behind the pedicure chairs they have a living wall (actually faux, but looks very nice).The nail tech did a very good job, with very little chatting (I think her name was Jenny). I appreciate that. I actually noticed that all of them did very little chatting, giving clients the opportunity to relax. Im quite pleased with my pedicure and will definitely return. This is my new go-to place, and I highly recommend it. If you need a coffee or another beverage, conveniently there is a Starbucks right next door (also newish). This is a high traffic area now, but I had no problem finding a parking spot.

After the tech removed the gel polish from my nails 3 times I asked was something wrong.. they all replied nothing was wrong. After being there for an hour and not having my nails polished I asked to just pay for the original polish removal and I left. I believe the woman was trying gel polish for the first time. This is fine if I am aware and agree to be a test run- however after 10min someone should have come and stepped in because at the end of the day I am a paying customer. The two stars is because the place is nice and they were welcoming. I wouldnt go here again however.

I’ve come here three times and have had mostly excellent service. They are super busy (don’t expect to be able to walk in or make a same day appointment) so I know others agree.My first time I got dip and it was pretty awful. However they completely redid it for free after I called. Book with Mary if you want dip.I’ve had regular mani/pedis the other times with no complaints. Everyone is super nice and the guy manning the front desk today was great, friendly and helpful.Tips: as I said, book with Mary. Bring cash. Prepare yourself for the nightmare that is the parking lot due to Starbucks (I feel bad for all the businesses that were there before Starbucks put in a drive thru).

Best manicure EVER. I went to go get a full set and it was the best set i had ever gotten! very nice environment. very clean. the employees are extremely kind and they know what they are doing. if you do want to go i definitely suggest making an appointment, they do take walk- ins but depending on the day it could be a small wait.

For vegans and people that care about cruelty free service as I do. This is not 100% cruelty free service that they advertise and I paid extra for. I had to watch them and remind them several times about using the right the polish. None of the chemicals they use are cruelty free. This means the bottles of oils and nail polish remover and those misc items were not cruelty-free. I saw cruelty free lotion that she went back and used after I asked. Towards the end of the visit I saw cruelty free products that they did not use on me, even though I paid. Very disappointed as each time I tried to ask or remind them, they didnt understand. The person that did my nails was very nice and she did a great job at the pedicure and manicure itself. For me, I cant go back since their services are not %100 cruelty free. Again the only items that were were the polishes and the second application of lotion. The first application she put on was not. I edited this post to clarify based on the comment from the business.

If only I rate this place zero stars! I went in couple days ago to get gel nails removed with a pedi & medi. The worst decision I’ve made ever! Horrible aftermath, looked like work done by my four year old neice. SMH ! Not to mention my fingers are still in so much pain & beyond sore. I was honestly better off doing it myself.Beautiful place, TERRIBLE PLACE.

I came here for the first time as a part of a bridal party. The salon is cute and the staff was all extremely nice and professional - plus the chairs have built in phone chargers how cool!That being said, I have no idea what happened with my polish - the colors faded/ran after one day and look nothing like how I left the salon. There is a noticeable difference between the colors on my fingers vs my toes and my pinky. The polish might have just gotten old or damaged some how but after paying around $100 for a gel manicure/pedicure with a tip, I’m not pleased with the result.

At first it was fine but as we get going and more people show up she was rushing through it. Some sides of my nails were longer than other since it wasnt filing evenly. Lets just say itll be my first and last. The thing that bugs me the most is yes I saw the sign say, cash preferred but I preferred to pay with card. I felt forced to go to the back of the salon and took out cash from their ATM. I was told their register is broken. I left to Starbucks next door while waiting for my SIL my SIL came out moments later and told me she paid with her card. How can your cash register be broken and moments later some paid with their card?! Like seriously.

This was my second experience at Nailish. They have beautiful pictures on Instagram, and the design that I wanted was very simple - also a photo that they had on their Instagram. After my nails were finished, the design peeled right off and 3 different people at Nailish tried to fix my nails. About a week later, 3-4 of my nails (I got dip) have cracked. Cute space, but wasn’t at all what I expected. Wont be suggesting this salon to anyone, unfortunately.

Got a manicure and pedicure. Had a 2:30 appointment that did not get started until 3, and they didnt even tell me they were running behind. Jenny did a wonderful job on my pedicure! Had a different person for my manicure that she rushed through and wasnt very friendly. What really made me the most unhappy with my visit was the push to pay via Venmo rather than card, and the dishonesty about payment method.

I received a gel manicure and regular pedicure from Jenny 4 weeks ago and my nails still look great! She did a wonderful job on my manicure and I’m so happy with how long it has lasted. After 4 weeks I have no chips, peeling, or lifting. Def check out Nailish for your mani/pedi needs!

I arrived early to my apt to pick out my colors but was quickly rushed to the pedicure chair so I had to decide on my colors quickly. I had a design I showed the nail tech and she said she could do it. We get to the end of my dip manicure and she isn’t able to do the design but it’s too late because I have everything on but the top coat. I would’ve went with different colors/design if she would’ve been honest with me about not being able to do the tortoise shell design. 2 nails chipped within a few days but I’m not from the area so I couldn’t go back to get them fixed. So much for treating myself to cute birthday nails🙁 I wouldn’t return.

Guys this is the best spa you will ever go to!! Every technician is so sweet and goes above and beyond with doing your nails perfectly. Tia the owner is so kind and generous. Nonetheless, this is the most beautiful store Ive ever been in!! You will not be disappointed. Not to mention, Tia does the greatest lashes Ive ever gotten, and that is coming from a girl who had been to 5 different high end lash studios.

I got my first pedicure there last week and it was great! Long lasting, wonderfully executed, and totally worth the money. There are plenty of options to choose from (including vegan-friendly choices, which is so cool).The presentation of the salon is beautiful and clean. Went for a mani and pedi with my sister before her wedding - such a great salon! We even had bagels delivered while getting pedicures. My nail tech, Mary, was so much fun to chat with during my pedicure. For my manicure, they did use a grinder which I typically refuse to use but it didnt hurt my nails at all. Cindy was very gentle with it. Highly recommend!

Very pretty nail salon, unfortunately the customer service isn’t so great, I had asked for a certain design and was told they could easily do it for me but it came out really bad and was given a hard time about not being happy with it so i insisted on getting something els since I am paying a lot of money. 33$ for a pedicure 58$ for a manicure, Also the shape of my nails didn’t come out even. I do appreciate they tried.

Clean, modern, and a warm atmosphere- its so nice to be able to go to an updated and clean nail salon with great staff. They have a variety of services to choose from and theyre all wonderful! I see Jenny and she is absolutely wonderful- my nails have never looked or felt as good as they do now. Go to Nailish, you will love your experience!

I did not feel safe at this salon with Covid-19 restrictions clearly not being followed. When I arrived at the salon all the pedicures chairs were in use with clients and a few others getting their nails done. Mind you that the salon is very small. The way they operate felt very unorganized when I arrived and as a first time customer I would expect some direction. By the end of my appointment the (male) tech asked me for a cash tip which I found very unprofessional. Will not be coming back again, especially when they are not following state mandated occupancy capacity rules during this pandemic.

This place is great— clean, friendly, efficient. The atmosphere and chairs were quite comfortable.I tried their CBD pedicure on my first visit, and Helen, my technician, had a soft touch and great attention to detail. The massage was wonderful and I felt very taken care throughout the whole experience. Bravo!

I had a pedicure at Nailish yesterday and I was very pleased with the whole experience. It was my first time at this salon, but I’ll definitely be back! They handled the new COVID restrictions very well and I felt comfortable and safe with the precautions they have in place. Even better, the pedi was one of the best I’ve had! The thing I value most in a pedicure is the removal of cuticles and dry/dead skin and Jenny (the tech who worked on my feet) did a great job with that and her painting skills are excellent!I’m hoping that she or someone else there does nail art too because I occasionally want flowers or flags or some other design on my nails and not everyone has that skill.Thanks Nailish and Jenny for getting my feet presentable again!

I had an appointment for 5:30. I was quickly seated at a pedicure chair, but then forgotten. At 6, the tub water turned cold and it became clear to me that I wouldn’t be able to stay for a pedicure and make the 6:45 pickup for my kid. Really bummed I had to leave without any service. From what I could tell, the staff do not consider appointments and just take guests as they walk in the door.

Found this salon in my neighborhood thanks to Google and reviews! First impressions: friendly staff, super clean, sanitary, inviting, quiet and calm atmosphere! Jenny was great and gave the most thorough, relaxing foot massage for my pedicure! I tried the CBD pedi, and it smelled very light and refreshing. She was very detailed, and even squeezed me in for a quick mani clean-up before they closed. I will be back!

Dip manicure left a TON of residue under my short nails and I left with three or four nicks in my cuticles from the manicure. Pedicure was better, lasted a long time, care was taken. Just felt a little rushed overall and didnt seem to recognize my online appointment

Its a cute salon and they did a good job with my pedicure but the owner didnt make me feel as welcome as she did other guests in the store. She actually spoke to everyone but me until I asked her a question. She greeted and chatted with every other customer in the salon and she made me feel like I was unwelcome so I will not go back.

I just went today for the first time me and my husband I got the deluxe pedicure he got the aromatherapy pedicure I got a gel acrylic I absolutely love it I have such an amazing time everyone working it was very welcoming very friendly it was very clean theyre very good at sanitizing they made sure that I got what I asked for make sure I was satisfied with what they were doing I will definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a great nail salon they are very reasonable priced the gentleman that did mine pedicure was tim he did a really good job he took his time very professional very polite they do do appointments I would recommend appointment Ive definitely will be coming back there again I am very satisfied best nail place I found in a very long time

Lovely, clean salon! I wish they had more colors for normal nail polish, but I think they do more gels and dips. Definitely enjoyed the deluxe pedi!!The location is fun for an afternoon with friends too with the Starbucks and Jenny in the City right in the same strip.

The person that worked on my manicure was very distracted by her phone and had an earbud in so was clearly paying more attention to her phone than the service I was paying for. She also caused a lot of damage to my nails and caused bleeding on 3 cuticles and a total of 5 of my cuticles had visible damage by the end of the service. She was also very rude when I payed and asked me for a cash tip which is so distasteful. I reached out to Nailish about my experience to provide helpful feedback and avoid giving a negative review and was told they would mail me a gift certificate that I never received and it’s been well over a month and a half since I reached out to them. Given my terrible, painful experience, and poor customer service I won’t be going back. There are too many other great nail salons to spend my money at.

Very clean and nice, but you pay for it. $40 for a normal gel manicure! That was upsetting because service was just ok. I saw them disregard this poor ladies appointment twice which was not fair to her. Might go back but we will see.

This place is very cute and everyone was nice but my nails just don’t look great. I got a gel manicure and where the polish meets the cuticle is a mess with jagged edges on most my fingers. There are also tons of bubbles/bumps which aren’t super noticeable so maybe I’m being picky, but personally they drive me nuts. I don’t think I’ll go back, not a terrible experience, but there are tons of nails salons in mpls that provide a higher quality service for a similar price.

I took my 5 year old here for her first mani/pedi. I had never been before but it was a convenient location. They treated my daughter like a princess and she loved. At first she was apprehensive of the temperature of the water so they cooled it down for her. Cindy was so great with her. She put flowers on her nails and toes and did gel on her toes even though we didn’t ask for it so she wouldn’t smudge them.I got the basic pedicure and it was great. Tina did mine and had great attention to detail. I get so frustrated at other places when they leave polish on my skin but Tina was careful to remove it.The building itself was modern, bright and clean. I’ll definitely be going back.

My favorite salon in Minneapolis. Gorgeous space, friendly staff, and zero bad-nail-salon smells. They also go the extra mile. My daughter had a mani/pedi birthday party at the salon with 8 8-year-old girls (no easy feat) and they made her and all her friends feel so special. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks, Nailish!

There are lots of great things about this nail salon -- its proximity to the area (shockingly there isnt a nail salon close to this neighborhood), its beautiful inside, the pedicure chairs are nice. There are lot of things I dont love about this salon. Ive had now two separate treatments -- one a nail dip when they first opened, and this week a pedicure. I think this is a great place for basic things -- like a standard manicure, a standard pedicure. My dip wasnt great and I wouldnt do that again there, but my pedicure was fine. The dip was way too thick. They could have more standard nail polish colors in my opinion, it seems sparse.The biggest critique I have, and I struggled whether to give a 4 or 3 stars, is the chairs at the manicure and drying stations (not the pedicure chairs). Im a plus size chic. The manicure chairs have arms on them and everything is on wheels. Sounds great in theory right? You can wheel around. But when I tried to squeeze my body into the chair it scooted away from me and I almost fell. No big deal, but it made me uncomfortable enough that i wont do a manicure there again. The same with the stools at the drying stations. Now here I dont have to deal with arms, but theyre on wheels and trying to get myself sat down on there without it shooting out and me falling was way more stressful than it needed to be. Throw in some nice, non-wheeled chairs for your guests that might have mobility constraints -- thats my recommendation.Ill keep coming for pedicures but will probably just walk over to Starbucks and wait for my nails to dry.

I came here to visit my friend and she talked me into getting manicure. My buddy this place just opened up not too long ago. The ladies here greeted us promptly. Since I am a horrible Gemini, I couldn’t decide on a proper color. I had the lady help me out...I went with a simple nude type color. They made me feel sassier, because I rarely get my nails done. But for $23, I wished I lived closer!

I got a simple gel manicure, I thought it was simple, I picked a color that I liked but was not informed that it would need 4 coats! FOUR! I asked as she was doing it, why it needed so many coats and why she didn’t say anything about it needing that many and she said “some people like to put white under it and I thinks it’s too hard to cover!” Oh, ok! (Blank stare) then I paid 8 additional dollars to have stone put on 2 fingers and once I left I lost most of them. I came back and told them I wanted them replaced and asked what can they do to make them stay on like other places...she said she was not sure! I promise I learned my lesson. The salon is cute but they don’t really know what they’re doing and for that amount of knowledge we should be paying the same prices we pay at a nail tech school!
