This place is AWESOME! I frequent black owned nail salons but I’ve NEVER had my feet feel as smooth as this. The care and technique they use in nail care was AMAZING. I was first taken back that they don’t do no chip on the toes, but the quality of work made it so that I didn’t need it plus they provide the oiled baggies to go over your feet which I really appreciate. Affordable quality service! I will definitely be back to see Shea!

Im soooo outdone by the treatment I was given by this business. In March of this year, I had a major family emergency @ the last minute, & I called 1 hour in advance as I traveled from the boutique direction, to my family members home.This resulted in injury to me. The owner charged my credit card $38 for services not rendered for this canceled appt. I spoke with someone on the phone, explained my situation, & the person made suggestions that the problem would be fixed, & suggested I schedule another pedicure appointment. I specifically asked if I would get credit since I had a major emergency. The person said that I would, but made no promises. The appt was today. shay called me asking if I can come in earlier than my 1315 hour appt. I needed to make arrangements since I had other appts. I called back, twice, & left a tex message that I could go there early. I went there, & she could not take me early. I was too late, & shay said my appt would have to stand @ 1315 hrs. She then calls me saying my appt would have to be pushed back to 1400 hrs. I had interventions to do, explained that to her, & let her know how unfair her thinking is for she acted like it was my fault, & she was going to charge my credit card $38. I HAVE NO interest in doing business with u. I will report this to the BBB. U cant treat people any kind of way. Empathy, kindness,& understanding is key to anything in life. I expected better. I dont have money for u unless its fair exchange. I want my credit card credited the $38. Im not sure if u do this often to make money, but its not kind, & its dangerous. Others beware.

I’ve NEVER been satisfied with my nails until I came here. Beautiful shop. I was greeted with a smile and the owners were very pleasant and nice. I almost love them 😂. Pricing is VERY expensive but you get what you pay for, And it was worth it! I’ll definitely be returning (only when I have some money to spend 😂) and I won’t be going to anyone else. Cherry is my go to nail tech. Her work is immaculate. She’s so welcoming, and so precise with her work. The feel and ambiance of the shop is great as well. I too, champion the services of “Black owned” businesses and this is one I always recommend to others. I will say I didn’t like the fact that the receptionist added new credit card info of mine to the scheduling site without my permission. I was comfortable with the one credit card being on file that I had, not two. Thanks to her that was no longer the case. I contacted the scheduling site and they deleted my account by my request. It’s the primary reason I haven’t returned. I’m very meticulous with my financial info. Other than that, great place.

This place is truly overrated! They don’t use drills to make sure the nails are even, they charge and extra $25 for what they call length and shape, but my nails are literally no long at all ! I could have saved my money a went to the Chinese places and have gotten better nails

I visit Chicago often and have been trying to find a nail spot for the longest but have never been happy. I looked this place up online and decided to give it a shot based on the reviews. I am SOOO happy I found this sweet nail boutique! You walk in and are greeted with smiles, the staff are so warm and friendly and they take such pride of their work.I saw Camille, and I seriously cant praise her enough! The attention to detail, her sweet nature, the ambiance...all of it! Worth every penny.Anything less than a 5 star rating is definitely questionable!

After researching them, I came here for the first time today. The biggest takeaway i have form my experience is that I felt completely comfortable with everyone in the boutique. Coming here felt more like a visit with my girls than going to get a service done. Cherry H was my tech and she did a beautiful job on my hands and feet. This BLACK OWNED nail boutique is awesome!! The atmosphere and the customer service are exceptional. Its an authentic down to earth feel. You can really relax and let you hair down. Camille, I have to say is the best nail tech ever! She does a neat, clean, and thorough job..love her!! The rest of the staff are very welcoming and theres no pressure. They have bath bombs, sage, candles, and many other goodies for purchase so your relaxing experience doesnt have to end there, you can take some home!

Her products smell great and are so luscious and her juices are delicious. The check out clerk was awesome but my nail tech was a bit loud and overbearing. She kept explaining why I shouldn’t get my nails shaped the way I wanted them but she gave in after I persisted: square toe nails and almond finger nails, that’s how I do MY nails, I don’t know why it mattered so much to her but anyway she did a really good job but I couldn’t relax at all with all of her banter.

First of all, the customer service is exceptional. The women who work here are so polite and nice. The place is extremely clean and comforting. The pedicure was the best I’ve experienced, ON THE OTHER HAND, I received the most terrible “no chip” manicure. Got it done Friday, it chipped on Saturday. Was able to get in Tuesday and got the two repaired for free, but basically all of the rest of them chipped anyway. It is only one week later as I type this and all of my nails have chipped. I feel so silly for wasting my money on an “upscale” manicure that lasted me no time at all. Even a $25 no chip will last for 2 weeks minimum. Unfortunately, despite the exceptional customer service i doubt I will return to waste any more money. I’m so disappointed. Wish I could get a refund.

This is the best nail salon in the South Suburbs. All the technicians are excellent and provide the best customer service. If you’re looking for a shop where you don’t have to wonder about the conversations around you... this is the place.

It saddens me so, to give a one star to a black business in 2019 on black history month, but I must be honest. As a one time customer, I had the most Beautiful experience a month ago being serviced by Camille, who is no longer an employee. My bank account was just charged $70 for a service that I never received, so I wanted to get the matter resolved, as I understand things happen. I spoke with the husband owner who was so warm, polite, and professional, and I knew that all would be well. He then referred me to his wife to take care of the situation. The wife owner was extremely rude in her tone and made this error to appear as though it were my fault, after I lost $70 for services that I received NO text, email, or confirmation of my appointment. Never asked to see if maybe there was an error on thier part with my email or number, and as a new client, it was never explained to me that you were charged even for a service you dont receive. If everyone else gets notifications, why would I not? I walked away extremely hurt that my own black SISTER would be so rude, and w ouldnt attempt to work with me to solve the matter ending in a Positive way. The staff is Beautiful...but the wife owner has definitely lost a customer, and the many others I recently referred, and was even referred by. I understand an owner maybe having a bad day, but you just dont treat those that take pride in supporting you, unkind. I will never return...

I took my daughter there the day of her prom. Her nails were done by someone who didnt know what they were doing. The lady didnt use a drill my daughter told me her nails hurt. The woman polished as slow as a turtle moved. I made an appt for 11am she wasnt done til 3pm, made us late for our make up appt. Smooth A, you need more experience love. I have gone there in the past when Ebony was there and received excellent service which is why I took my daughter but when you have an inexperienced nail tech you cant really call yourself Upscale!

Im so glad that I have found a BLACK OWNED NAIL SALON near me ! Shic!An Upscale Nail Boutique is just what it says. This was my first time here, my appointment was at 11:15, I walked in at 11:00, I was pleasantly greeted, by a young lady whom name I forgot and was escorted to where I would be getting my feet done. It was clean, beautiful, the entire atmosphere, and energy in there was AMAZING! Ms. Camille came in full of life and energy, greeted me and started my water to do my feet. OMG! Camille did an exceptional job on my feet. She pampered my feet, scrub, and massaged my feet so well, I was too relaxed afterwards. Ms. Cherry then took over to get my nails together because they had been neglected along with my feet. Ms. Cherry pampered my hands, massaged them and made them look new again. My Entire experience here was SUPERD! Im going to shout them out every chance I get, so that we can support our own. And let me not forget that they have a Juice Bar, and natural products that the owner Mrs. Syn makes herself. This will definitely be my spot. See you soon.

This is the first time I have been compelled to write a review, but I just had to spread the word about the wonderful experience I had at Shic!I have been looking for a CLEAN, professional nail salon in the southern suburbs forever, and I have finally found it.My sister discovered this while searching on the web. We were intrigued by their website, (appointments only, no kids) so we decided to take a drive to find out if they were indeed an upscale nail boutique. Upon entering the first thing we noticed was the calm, soothing ambiance and pleasant smell (no sign of those awful acrylic nail products). We were greeted in a courteous, professional manner by one of the technicians (I forget her name) and were told what the basic pedicure would entail for the extremely reasonable price of $35. She then gave us a brief tour, and right away we were impressed. Although they dont take walk-ins (another plus in my book) they were able to give us an appointment within the hour. The seating was comfortable, the staff well dressed, pleasant and above all PROFESSIONAL! My technician, Nicole was very thorough, yet gentle. Even the television was tuned to HGTV (no Maury or other loud reality show shenanigans) with the sound turned down and closed caption set. The overhead music was calm, soothing; no rap, or hip hop music to ruin the mood.I cant say enough positive things about this establishment and am eager to spread the word about the great experience I had. My sister and I will return, and HIGHLY recommend Shic! to anyone who is fed up with the typical sweatshop nail salons.

I originally bought a Groupon for this nail salon and I was a little skeptical at first. But once I arrived I was blown away! I ambience of this salon is amazing! Its a small intimate salon where they are very professional. They even offer you drinks (wine included)...Needless to say Ive used the 2 Groupons up and I have only been back once since but the last time I went I also got a pedi and the ball she drops in the water was very nice. I instantly felt the softness on my feet! Syn is FABULOUS! Ive decided to never go anywhere else :-) Also all her products have Shea butter...she has a variety of scents she uses on your feet and hands (which are available for purchase, and YES I did purchase). The name of the salon definitely fits! Shic! An Upscale Nail Boutique. Oh and apparently others love Syn too...be sure to book your next appt before you leave, because she books up quick...and thats a good thing :-)
