The girl at the front desk was very rude. When I came into the shop the girl at the front desk just said “sit down” didn’t ask what I was there for. Waited an hour and I was never called for my service. I just left. Went to a better place. I will never go back there again. Very rude and dirty place.

The quality of their work has declined. The front desk lady is RUDE to all clients except her appointments. With that attitude she needs to not be the door greeter. The older guy cant do nails at all. I went here for years and finally said F them and switched cause they act like they dont want my money so why give it to them

I came in for a fill in and pedi the older gentleman started on my nails, and I could tell he doesnt do nails. He stopped my nails for a pedi and the female text ask me was I in a rush, I stated no, hes taking too long to do my nails, and she stated he doesnt do nails he was just helping out. Their attitudes are very bad and the service was not great.

Decided to stop by and give them a try. I should have read the reviews first! Im not picky on a lot of stuff but when you spend that amount of cash, I definitely need to be. Absolutely not worth the price. I paid $50 and my nails absolutely do not look professionally done. If youre thinking about going, dont! These are the results of my nails and quite a disappointment. Being this place is close to home and wanted to support the community, unfortunately they didnt deliver on the results. They left nail polish and the top coat all around skin. The massage should be the best part and it wasnt. Of course this was rushed.

Went for mani pedi since I had this as a christmas gift. The girl didnt even smile. I said Happy New Year! She didnt reply! Told us yo wait. After 2 minutes. I decided I should not stay if they dont want my business. I was never greeted by this girl, they shiuld make sure she does nails and not receptionist work.

This place is amazing!! Lon always does my nails and they are always the bomb!!! Noon has done my lashes and she is just as awesome!! Love going here, always friendly and they make me and my daughter feel like family!!! I would give them +1000 if I could. My nails always last 3 weeks or more when my schedule keeps me from getting in on time.

The people here are friendly and welcoming. Jason did my nails, and I got the no chip with a very pretty maroon color. He did an awesome job, the only thing that sucked was that it was kind of pricey and my nails lasted barley a week :/

The woman who work here are exceptional and they can do extremely detailed designs and are so talented. Especially the woman at the front desk by the door and her mother.But I unfortunately wont be coming back because of a man with a music tattoo on his arm. He burnt my hands so bad and I kept trying to tell him over and over but he just kept making it worse, changing nothing. Other workers tried to come over but he would just shoo them away. He never apologized. And my nails were sticky and ruined by the time I got to my car to the point I had to come back in and have him fix it again. (it was no chip btw, why would that ever be sticky???). and he STILL over charged me. No discount, not even the normal price. My nails and finger tips were red and hurt to the touch for a month.

Went there on a Friday night and the shop was ready to close 2 hours early. Owner was efficient on brow wax and nails. Although fast not talkative at all. I tried to start a conversation with her and she looked at me with a look. So I just shut up and watched TV. Unless theres a sale I will not go there again.

I started going here when i was 16 years old i stopped going around 5 years ago. I just recently started going back 5 months ago and am so glad i went back. They have quality polish and i love that they take their time to service you with excellence instead of doing a rush job. And their pedicures are too die for! Thanks Start nails!

I asked for them to use a form to sculpt my nail instead of the plastic tip. I asked for gel. She use acrylic. Half way through the process she states I havent done this since 20 years ago. But proceed to finish my hand. I called back and ask if someone could redo my nails. Gave me attitude. I showed them pictures of what I wanted. Tried to tell me I was wrong and I didnt know what i was talking about. This place is just awful. Save your money.

Nice people, but whoever did my nails took way too long and my nails really dont look great at all. Kinda sucks but I think Ill stick with Villa. Cheaper, cleaner, and nails come out way better.

Gave this place a try twice. Bad service both times. The gentleman is very slow. My polish job was horrible. They need more staff because they swear everyone entering has an appointment. Lady that sits right by the door is rude.

I went here when they were really busy with my younger sister and her two friends. We waited a half hour and then they finally saw me. I asked for a manicure and picked a color. The guy then just painted my nails which took 5 minutes and charged me 20$. I took my younger sister and her friends to a place down the block, got right in and they had a blast. I would never go back here. I knew the other place just wanted us gone. Since they were busy.

I gotta say I dont see why they have bad reviews, yes sometimes there is a wait but its worth it if you dont wanna wait Um leave right? My nails are always done perfect last about a month intact price is great but staff could be friendlier but they are extremely busy I understand that... I LOVE this place,, customer for life... I was a walk-in. Got home and big toe polish smeared even after 15 minutes of drying and cuticles not done properly. For $25 never again! I paid less and had better service.

I’ve been here 3 times total, 2 times I was helped by the nail tech with blonde highlights (I never caught her name), and she was amazing and super kind. She does a perfect job. The third time I was helped by a different lady and she said that my natural nails were “really bad” while she was doing them which I found to be really rude and unprofessional. She then proceeded to put on my acrylics without filing down the tips, therefore making them crooked. I get that it’s the end of the day and you can be tired but there’s a time and place for being lazy and your job isn’t one of them. I’ll probably only be back if the specific nail tech I like is there. That is, if I choose to come back.

I came in today to get a pedi and fill in to be rushed to pick out a Polish and to sit and wait over 30 minutes unwilling because they failed to inform me they had appointments scheduled. I arrived before the appointments and had to be seen after them. I feel a little customer service goes a long way and they could have informed those coming in that they would have to wait. 1st experience here has been a not so good one.. came here looking for quality service and missed out on that..

Usually this place does a good job but recently it’s been bad. my nails are painted so horribly i might just have to take it off and re do it myself. the older man there is not very good at what he does being sloppy and cutting me twice in the process. won’t be coming back

EXTREMELY RUDE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I just walked in trying to book a nail appointment for my wedding. The girl at the front desk, Lon, hardly looked up at me when talking to her She was on her phone the whole time. Didnt even greet me! She told me no one was available for an appointment a week from today. I asked if they take walk ins & showed her a nail design off my phone. I wanted to know if I could get something similar. She responded with an attitude, well were the ones (her & 2 other nail techs) who do designs and were not available so I dont know what to tell you. I turned around and walked right back out!I also realized this is the same girl I follow on IG. Noticed because there was a dog sitting there when I walked in & its the same one from her photos. I had also messaged her through there before asking about her services & was ignored. She could have simply gave me a # or address. I didnt know she worked from a public salon.

Long story short... I needed a polish change before the weekend and decided to go to Star Nails. The service is usually really good. However, today my service was bad and my toenail shape is now screwed! My tech was not accommodating after I alerted her about my nail shaping. I’m very disappointed and will not be back.

Im disappointed i tipped. NEVER AGAIN. Such a waste of money i literally got my nails done yesterday..and its horrible Im on a flight to Cancun i can fix it. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...CHECK OUT THE PICS.

I go to Nhi. She’s so sweet & polite. We had a great conversation. She is appointment only so be mindful of that. She takes her appointments through Instagram @naileditbyus. I won’t go to anyone else regarding my nails from now on. Whenever I go to other places I get a “hurry up and get out” vibe but not with Nhi. Her work is beautiful. Take a look for yourself on her instagram. She also does really pretty designs/drawings on your nails if you’d like. ♡ love this place.

DISRESPECTFUL NAIL SALON!!! PLEASE SHARE THIS!!!! The story needs to be heard!!! Stop spending money in places that dont like or respect you!!! Go where you are appreciated!! So Ive been going to this nail salon for about 2 years now. Never have I complained about the service that I receive. The service that they provide at this establishment is mediocre. My nails are almost always un even, spots are missed, they crack and break after a few days and I always have to get them re done weekly. When I go for a fill in they have to take my nails off and completely re do them. My nails are never perfect and they always nickel-and-dime me. I only went to this place because they have reasonable prices. I never feel good after leaving this shop. I dont know why I have continued to give this place my business. Yesterday I learned a valuable lesson. I will never again go to this place or any place like it.The staff here are extremely rude and disrespectful. Yesterday was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a salon. I always see Tina When I visit the shop. Tina does an okay job but I feel like Tina can do a better job. My last two visits Ive been seeing Tinas father who is the owner of this nail salon. Tinas father does a better job. I decided that I would be seeing Tinas father from now on since Im paying the same price why not have the better tech provide services. Yesterday I went into the salon and set in a waiting area. After being ignored I waved the father down. I asked him if he can do my nails and he told me to sit in his chair. Everything was going fine. I had came in for a fill-in but he told me that my nails needed to be completely redone because the last nail tech Tina didnt do a good job. I agreed to let him do my nails over. I noticed that he missed a spot with the gel that he was putting over my nails which would have left a hole. I asked him if he can fill it in. He looked saw what he missed and filled it in and told me thank you. As he continued to do my nails I noticed that several other nails were missing spots where acrylic should have been. I asked him to fix another nail and he snapped at me. He told me that I was too picky and that he did not want to work with me again. He also began to snatch my hands saying that I was to stiff and I needed to loosen up. He then said something to Tina in his native language language. I wanted to get up and walk away but he was already halfway done with my nails. After a few moments he fixed my nails and asked me did they look okay with a nasty attitude. I told him that they look nice and he usually does a good job thats why Ive been coming to him lately. I told him that I didnt appreciate him disrespecting me I have the right to point out any flaws in my nails because Im paying for them. I told him that I always tip them above what I should. He told me that he did not care about my tip and that he was tired and Im way too picky. I told him that I would never visit his shop again and I will write a bad review on Yelp. Once he finished my nails I gave him a tip and left. He had a look on his face as if he knew he was wrong. There is a place that I go to now on 106th and Ridgeland which is way better and darThe Services are much neater and the people are nicer. This guy clearly doesnt know customer service. You should have never opened a nail salon if you have a problem with customers asking you to fix flawed nails. When they are paying for the services you are rendering.

I had my nails done there about 3/4 days ago and two of my nails have already cracked offf and because of my OCD everything has to come off. And its coming off easily for being only on for 4 days...

This place was horrible. It doesnt look clean or organized. Staff was not courteous at all. Did a shotty job on my nails. I would never go back here. Surprised their still in business. Tkt nails across the way is by far better.

So I been a regular here for about a year now and I go in on Monday & The Father which is the older man starts taking my no chip polish off and it takes him 5 mins for one nail?! I ask him isn’t there a quicker way to take off the polish because it usually doesn’t take this long when the mom (his wife) does it he states “no this how it goes”! sidenote: i been getting my nails done for 14 yrs now so I know how it go! He then whispers to his wife in his Language (Angrily). So then I just tell him “YOUR CUTTING MY FINGERS WITH DRILL” He states:I’m not doing your nails you can go over there and sit wait for someone else! WOWW!! I AM A REGULAR CUSTOMER AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT SOMEONE THAT BRINGS YOU BUSINESS!!! His wife always has a great attitude and does a great job but i am shocked that Her customer service skills didn’t kick in when her husband was being rude! She acted non Chalant like I wasn’t a REGULAR and she know her husband was wrong! THEY HAVE GOTTEN TOO COCKY WITH THE INDIVIDUALS THAT BRING THEM BUSINESS! HE CANT DO NAILS AND HE NEEDS TO JUST STICK TO THE PAPERWORK OF THE BUSINESS!! I will NEVER RECOMMEND OR GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN BECAUSE ON TOP ON THAT MY AUNTIE CAME IN A WEEK PRIOR AND HE WAS RUDE TO HER BECAUSE HE SUCKS AT NAILS..I TOTALLY REGRET EVEN RECOMMENDING HER TO THIS PLACE! Ive been here twice and on both occasions Ive left a little disappointed in my nails not to mention 2 weeks after my gel set starts to FALL OFF complete waste of my time and money never again😡😡

If I could leave no stars i would!!!! I got a fill in and 2 weeks later I went to a different nail salon. This place screwed up my nails and didnt do it right and there was fungus starting to grow between my nail and the fake nails. Never coming back here again!!!!!

I am LIVID. I have religiously gotten an acrylic fill in with no chip on top for YEARS in my old town of Carol Stream. Now that I have moved, this is the second chance I have given to Star Nails in Midlothian because it is convenient for me in my new neighborhood. I visited this nail salon on 2/20/17 and for the second time here, my no chip is chipping...BUT THIS TIME it lasted 2 days!!! My no chip never chips- twice in my life it has...and both times they were done here. Could it be that my original nail tech tells me to go wash my hands, I come back and a new tech was there to paint my nails? (Didnt even let me know I would have someone else painting them). I understand this happens but what infuriates me is the reaction I just got from the woman on the phone when I called to ask if they can fix my nails. (2/22/17 around 9:30am). She rushed me off the phone saying they only guarantee no chip polishes to last 2-3 days...REALLY? Then tells me come in tomorrow morning then when I told her that I was at work right now and couldnt come in this instant...and then she HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and she told me she couldnt give me a refund....THAT IS A STRAIGHT UP LIE. I know how point of sale systems work and they can give me my money back. Now I dont even want them to fix my nails I just want a refund of my $35 (not including the 20% tip I gave my nail tech....who knows who the tip went to since they passed me off to 2 people while I got my nails done). I want my money back. I will remove this review once I get my money back. This is so ridiculous- I am a hard working human who spent $35 on something two days ago that now already needs to be fixed....instead of having good customer service about it, I got a major attitude and hung up on. I hope I get a response from someone more business savy than whoever I spoke to today on the phone. **ALSO: they do not apply the first clear coat that is needed for a no chip polish. I have a cosmetology license and have gotten it done for years, so I know the the process. Probably why they chipped for a 2nd time from here.**

Nail place is horrible. The nails was sloppy and rushed, pedicure was polished very sloppy and finger nails was lumpy and messy and had bubbles from the polish, the filing of the nails was terrible and rushed . I wouldn’t recommend this nail shop because of their skills at all.

This place is the worst. I walk in waiting to get my nails done 1 hour and 30 min before closing time and they said sorry we are closed because we have things to do im like closing time is 5 ten they said you need to leave 😠

I would give them 0 stars if I could. The lady that sits in the first booth on the right hand side of the shop is rude & racist. I walked in was not greeted. Wasnt told to get a color. I had to speak to her. Tell her what I wanted then was told sit down. She was working on a girl who even noticed the attitude and gave me a look as if she knew what I was thinking. I asked if I could picked my color she says yeah. I was not seating in a chair I waited in a waiting area. The shop only had 3 other customers in it. A Caucasian lady and her 2 daughters walked in. They were greeted with smiles and conversation like you are supposed to receive. I stated to to the lady that I did not receive that type of greeting. She just rolled her eyes at me. I put my polish back and walked out.

This place has awful customer service. When I got my gel nails done here they would burn my skin from drilling to much because they were in such a rush. Not only that, but they choose how they want YOUR nails done. The nails also fall off after a few days or always break off.

This place is horrible. She shaped my nails wrong when I showed her a picture before she started. Then got mad because I told her its not right and she needs to fix it. She said if I wanted that I can go elsewhere because she couldnt do the shaping of a thin square nail. I said but arent you a nail artist? When you call for price they give you a different price from what they charge just to get you to come in. The whole experience was terrible. Save your time and money. I should have left when the other girl was yelling at another staff because this was her second time messing up her nails.

Nails chipped in a 2 days on the gel manicures. Nails came off in 3 days for the acrylic.
