Our family lived here for close to 5 years the rent is a little pricey for the livable space you have but I loved our time here. Maintenance is awesome and front office is super responsive. I almost burned down our unit 㪠and i did crash into the gate㪠and they were not judgemental which was nice because I felt really goofy after those incidents haha
Had the pleasure of calling The Villas on Hampton Avenue, home for the last year. The entire staff was very welcoming and worked harmoniously together. This includes the maintenance dept. too. Everyone was super kind and the location and apartment was secluded and private, yet very conveniently located to so many restaurants and amenities. The unit I was in only had one shared wall and tons of natural light. Would have stayed longer but job change necessitated a move.
I left a previous review with a photo surrounding a drug issue at this complex. Seems like management hid my review so you wouldnt see it. Kind of important risk factor that your future tenant should be aware of. So here again is the picture of the speed ball or w/e residue that was on my dirty balcony that caused a $1,400 medical emergency that I feel like future residents should be aware of.
While we didnβt rent through them (found a house), Kesha was wonderful! She was quick to answer any questions I had and was very understanding. The tour was great and she couldnβt have been nicer!
So far, we absolutely LOVE this place. The set up of the apartments are not like your typical apartment. There is a lot more privacy and they are staged more like a home. Kesha with management, has been a great help. Any time we have needed assistance she has been on top of it to find a solution. We have received nothing but professional and friendly service. Lovely homes and lots of great personalities here. Its been wonderful!
Terrible management group. They require a 60 day notice to vacate but do everything to hide the fact. When you mention anything about it βthey gave noticesβ that nobody receives. They scanned their copy which was dated 61 days when they clearly state 65 days to notice. Kelly is useless and can respond to my Yelp review but not to my email. I want to talk to upper management and I get an email where they donβt contact back after 5 days. Kelly blows off my emails. Sheβs like talking to a wall. She has a blank expression and says our procedure is our procedure.
Excellent staff service excellentVery clean large heated pool hot tubLarge apartmentsOwners greatVery nice topNotch staff
Awesome location, fantastic property, professional staff
I lived at the Villas for ~1 year. Great apartment complex that met all my needs. The apartment was simple and spacious and I enjoyed having my own private garage. The price was very reasonable, especially for the area and amenities provided. Staff was friendly although the occasional service request sometimes took awhile to be completed. Overall a positive experience.
By far one of the best communities I have lived at. I would have stayed for a few more years, but had to relocate out of state. The office & maintenance staff is friendly, knowledge and attentive to the property and residents. The apartments are nice and upgraded. Love that its a gated community with working gates! I had no neighbor issues. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quite community near the interstate.
Great place! Been here for a year now. Awesome staff all around. Love the the fact that there is a garage. Would recommend this complex to a friend!
Lived there for about a year and 1/2. amazing staff. only moved due to job situation. wonderful area... close to everything I needed.
Loved living here! Itβs clean, quiet, and well maintained. The office staff is always so kind and welcoming. One of the best complexes Iβve lived in. Never had any problems with bugs or scorpions.
I absolutely loved living here for many reasons. The front office staff is always so friendly and all the women there share a sense of urgency- maintenance calls, packages, rent, questions, concerns, you name it theyβre on top of it. The units are completely updated and the direct access garages are definitely a plus as well. The community is gated and there arenβt any issues about safety/theft on this property. It is located right off the 60 and you can find stores and restaurants very close by.People complain about the noise levels but I never had an issue with my neighbors, they were actually kind friendly. People also complain about parking but keep in mind that you have your garage spaces, the space outside your garage and uncovered spots available for your convenience. When I moved here I made sure I got a unit not facing the sun... and that really helped to keep my apartment nice and cool all year round.Pools and facilities are always kept very clean and landscaping is done very often.Overall good experience while living here. Would recommend!
My wife and I really liked living here. It was always clean, friendly Nieghborβs and the location was close to shopping etc. when we left they were updating some of the units so I know that they are really nice now. I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful, the property manager Kelly was the the best ever and just the sweetest person you will ever meet. She was always quick to respond to any of our needs. Overall it was a great experience.
I have lived here for about 3 years and really enjoy the amenities, staff and location. Having my own garage and not living above or below someone else is a major perk. Staff are always helpful and quick to respond to service requests.
Just moved out after three years residing at Villas on Hampton Avenue. Loved the location, the apartment, the amenities, and the staff. I would continue to live there if I could. Thank you for an excellent three years!
Love living here. Its quiet, has friendly staff, and great amenities. My favorite part is my attached two car garage. I recommend this complex.
My only problem is the apartments are poorly insulated, which may be a problem of any apartment you get, I dont know, but our electric bill is just insane. We even bought a second AC unit (the type with hoses to a window), and its not much better. When its 110+ outside, we simply cannot get it below 85 inside, 82 or so with the second AC running. I love this place, very glad we moved here, but I cant wait to move out and rent a house instead once we can afford it. :(
My boyfriend and I were looking for a new apartment in the range of $900-$1200.. We enter the complex and our greet (By Chris) was literally.. You know these apartments are $1,400.. I said yes, Ive seen that on your website.. I also saw 2 other apartments.. One for $950 and one for $1100.. Are those available.. She said, No.. Even though on her computer.. it literally stated 1 available. In the process of her stalling us around.. She brought up finances and what we do for a living.. Which at this point was completely inappropriate.. [I would imagine getting treated like this at the age of 18.. not 25.] So final results.. Nothing at all ended up being available. Nothing she can show us, No paperwork to leave this community with.. Nothing. And as far as reading all of these reviews.. Im glad we didnt go through with renting this apartment.. They all match the persona that Chris had.
They swindle you out of every dime and nickle that they can. Management is rude, dont have no people personality, will never talk to you (they let others be middle man), charge enormous amount for clean up fee and apartment is filthy upon moving in and too many dogs on premises and the dog owners just let the dogs poop in your yard and dont bother about cleaning it up. This place is a nightmare and I have NEVER written a bad review on anything and this should say a lotNEVER experienced ANYTHING like this. They totally ignore everything!
Within three months of living in the Villas, they fired their maintenance staff (who were amazing) and hired a new, awful staff. I had to file two work orders for every problem because the maintenance guys did not know what they were doing and took nearly a week to come to the apartment. After living there for ten months I had ants covering my kitchen for two weeks and the leasing office refused to file it as an emergency (even though I told them I could not prepare any food in my own home - which I kept VERY clean) and had some guy spray my apartment two Fridays in a row (I was forced to take time off of work for it). After speaking with my neighbors, I discovered they had very similar complaints as mine (they had an ant problem for a month, even though they cleaned their apt every day and called the leasing office constantly about the issue). Not to mention the walls are painted in a matte finish so even your skins oil stains it and you get charged when you move out.The move out and final statement notice process is a nightmare to deal with as the front office hands it off to their corporate office and refuses to handle it after that. Their corporate office is one person who never answers their calls and there is no other source to speak to (I ended up playing phone tag with the woman for about 3 weeks). In my final notice they blatantly did not follow on the terms outlined in the signed lease agreement and without any proof, refused to listen to my concern. Out of frustration, I eventually filed a complaint with the BBB against the leasing company and I encourage others to read it. I am not one to complain often or find a problem with everything, but I feel everyone has the right to know what they are getting into when looking for a home to live in. I have lived in various apartments before and I have never encountered such an unprofessional and rude experience when moving out. Unless you like giving out hundreds of dollars for a bill that goes against what your signed lease agreement states, I would not recommend moving into this complex.
My husband and I have been living here for over a year now and we have never had any issues. Ive seen some people consider it to be expensive but I think its reasonable for the fact its a in a great location, very quiet and safe and having internal access garages is wonderful.
This is one of the WORST apartment complexes Ive ever lived in. There office staff is very rude and hard to work with. They nickel and dime you for every single thing but it is impossible to get maintenance to fix any problem. The apartments are very old, therefore the electric bill is absolutely unreal. There are also a lot of bugs. They have sprayed my apartment over 5 times and I still have a serious bug problem including spiders. They allow dogs in the complex and there is dog feces EVERYWHERE. I do not recommend living here.
Great location, 2 car attached garage, pet friendly and awesome staff.
I like the apt its very nice and the staff is very nice and maintenance have done a very good job for us I want to give them a 5 star I am very happy living here
BEWARE OF APPLYING.When you apply for these apartments but decide to not sign leases, they will try to charge you exorbient fees. Obviously application fees are non refundable, but attempting to charge $150 on top of that is ridiculous. Be very careful, plus their single bedrooms are tiny and cheap.
I have lived here with my wife and kids for quite a while now. Kris in the front office is very freindly. I love this place and love the owners. We have also lived in a sister property which all of them are nice. This location is very quite and kept clean. Ive never had any problems with management since i pay my rent on time and if i need something fixed it gets done quickly. I would highly recommend these apts to anyone who wants to live in an upscale apt complex and have peace and quite. The other people who wrote bad reviews must have not been paying their rent on time and are mad because they probably received disciplinary actions agaisnt them. But i know many freindly people that live here and we all pay our rent on time and love these apts
The place is nice, but the bedbugs arent.
These apartments were previously under the name Bala Desertscape. All the reviews on here are old and were carried over to the new name The Villas on Hampton. I was pretty happy with everything up to the point of move out. When the new staff came in it was kind of a bummer because the old staff was so lively, friendly, and very considerate. From the day that I moved in, if I ever went into the office, they somehow remembered me, my name, where I work, and my pets name. You could tell that they were very much about the residents and customer service. The new staff is very boring, fake, and it seems like they hate going to work every day. I feel like I give them customer service when I come in even though Im the one paying a hefty rent every month. So the main reason I grew to be bitter was because they took my money, my hard earned money. I was duped out of my $200 resident referral credit because I was moving out (they advertise this to you quite often that if you refer someone to live there, they will give you $200). They also charged me about $300 in cleaning fees, even though the apartment was pretty much spotless when I moved out. I was very surprised that I wasnt required to pay a deposit in the beginning, but thats where they get you. You move out and then they can charge you whatever they want. When I went in early to pay my rent, I was told to wait to pay my last months rent. I then paid it by the 4th (I was told I had until the 4th of every month by a staff member) but they ended up charging me a $50 late fee. Even though I had a perfect track record of paying early, and after explaining the story to the staff member, there was absolutely no way they were going to refund me. The staff member was walking back and forth to the managers office and then back to me, passing on the message like the manager couldnt come out and speak to me herself. So all together I lost about $600 bucks (WHAT THE HECK?! Thats a couple hundred shy of a months rent!!). If that doesnt leave a bad taste, then I dont know what will. I really liked the apartments, and location. Its a nice area, and very quiet. I will NEVER EVER move back or refer any business their way. Management sucks, sucks, SUCKS.

Do not move in here. Complaints fall on deaf ears.
Do not rent here! The management here is a mess and dont know what the heck theyre doing. They lie to your face about how much you owe for rent. The said I owed rent when in fact I had paid $300 OVER! They were trying to get me to pay more until I showed them my bank statements and had to prove I had over paid. Theyre as crooked as they come! DO NOT RENT HERE WHATEVER YOU DO! You WILL be sorry
