Am a disabled vet after 3 years of never being late on the rend nor causing disturbances they refused to renew my leas during the pandemic so they could renovate and charge more. Dont go with exhcange on the 8 if you enjoy loyalty in the people you rent from they will cut you loose the moment it benefits them regardless of the effect on you.

Hot water goes out once a week, door frame isn’t properly built and refused to fix, claimed to be fully refurbished yet everything breaks constantly, washer, dryer, dishwashers been broke for over a month they come in “and fix it” just for it to pool and leak water and not clean anything. I will have to fight them when I leave over the water damage even though we keep it under control and don’t use certain appliances anymore. Hopefully a bad review will get them off their high horse but it’s doubtful you can’t even make a call to the office and get ahold of anyone let alone maintence.

Matt for maintenance is awesome very quick to respond and very friendly. The apartment is nice and the front of office team are great. We moved here a couple months ago from CA and we love it. As of 6/28 someone did reach out and refund me the rest of the money. However it took 3-4 phone calls over several weeks to get the money back in 3 increments and they only told me it was a glitch the very last time they called which was after I posted a 1 star review...Old review: I applied, someone called Ashley told me I didnt meet the income requirements and that since they hadnt ran a credit check etc. that I would be getting all of my money back (200 dollars). I thought great! Well I check my account some days later and theyve only refunded me 1/4 of what they owe. About 2 weeks goes by and I give them a call. I tell them Im still missing 150 dollars and that I can send receipts as well as bank statements to prove that 200 dollars was taken out of my account, so I send them my bank transactions. Ashley tells me shell let someone know and have my refund sent via check. Well its just come in the mail and its 99 dollars, which means 50 dollars is still missing. Not once did Ashley mention any of the money was nonrefundable. I told her on the phone I was missing 150 dollars which she acknowledged. I dont understand when she has the receipts and my bank transcripts why Im still missing money. I get it if there are nonrefundable charges, but this wasnt mentioned once...

We moved here, sight unseen, from out of state more than a year ago and have been very pleased since. We ultimately decided on Exchange on the 8/Aspen Square Management because their employees were the most helpful ones we encountered. This continues to be true. The office staff is always great, as is the maintenance team, all of our maintenance requests have been handled in a timely manner.Depending on where your unit is located within the complex, parking can be a problem, but that has not been our experience. What I can say is that management has been actively addressing the issue by systematically re-structuring the layout for uncovered parking. I regularly receive emails and texts with important information and updates about it.No apartment complex will be 100% perfect for everybody, this one is no exception and has minor hiccups like any other, most of which likely stem from a small percentage of bad-egg residents. This will be true no matter where you live. What matters is that if there’s a problem within management’s power to fix, they will try hard to do so.My advice: if you see a negative review with all caps and multiple exclamation marks, disregard it, as it’s probably from a disgruntled person settling a score by trolling the comments. If you are looking for a squarely above-average apartment experience, you should strongly consider Exchange on the 8. They will work hard to take care of you, especially if you are reasonable and respectful with them.

The management here is amazing. I lived there through the remodels and had to move out due to personal reasons. Tiffany, community manager, and Alexus have made this transition so easy and painless. Obviously when you break a contract there will always be a consequence, however, they worked with me and made arrangements so that both parties were completely satisfied. I would definitely give this management 5 stars, and would encourage anyone to give this place a shot in the Mesa Community. The park two minutes away is beautiful, and the pool is even better! Thank you Tiffany for all of your help and support both in the office and for your sacrifices to the community beyond. God bless all of you!

Cops are here almost every other night for something, if you wanted to park close to where you live forget about it. The management is a complete joke, they never all have the same answer and love giving you the run around for your money. The unit is no where near worth what they charge for them, youre better off finding a 3-4 bedroom house for what they charge at this dump. SHADY company. Icalled and spoke to Ashely about a month ago about a 2 bedroom- 2 bathroom. I asked her to give me the complete prize of the apartment including tax and all hidden fees. She told me and a friend of mine who called the next day it was going to be 1250 a month. She also said I had to pay a $51 per person in addition to the holding fee because we dont want anyone to take the appartment. So I asked her what happens if after I paid the holding fee, something happens and Im not able to move in? She said if for any reason you decide not to move into our apartments, your holding fee will be refunded. Flashforward to todsy I talked to Ashely, and she looked up my application and said since you forfeited the apartment by not signing the lease, list my holding fee. I reminded her of what she said to me the 1st time I talked to her. She put me on hold and then came back and said I should go on the website and read the disclaimer. I told her ok, but what you are telling potential residents is not aligning to the company polices. I needed the $99 to pay for my rent. .... After all this she asked me what they could do to g err t me to move in....LOL🤪... Girl why would I move in aftwere r this.... I didnt sign the lease because they wrote that it was going to be from May 22, when I told them I needed it to be fro June 12th....STAY AWAY....Really shady...

Nothing but nice things to say about every step of my stay here, read further for a great story of why. The facilities are kept in excellent condition, and while parking can be difficult after nine or ten in the evening, each apartment comes with its own parking spot, which makes it a non-issue with any forethought at all. I love the pool and public grill cabana, the neighborhood is great, and theres an excellent park just a 5 minute walk from the complex. Very child friendly, excellent neighbors, super friendly staff, just a great apartment complex overall.Story time: My wife and two young children moved in, and not two days later, it rained /hard/. Our ceiling leaked after several hours of rain (for those of you not native to the area, heavy rains are quite rare around these parts, so its common for leaks to go un-noticed for months until the next time it rains. We dont blame the apartment complex at all!). We had a couple gallons of water come through our ceiling, and in the morning when maintenance staff came in, they jumped on it ASAP. The front desk made arrangements for us at a nearby hotel so we had a place to stay while they performed maintenance, even going so far as to give us gift cards to comp is for meals for the nights we were away. Maintenance staff allowed us any access we needed to the apartment while they were performing maintenance, and it was done very professionally, Excellent workmanship as well (I have professional experience in renovations, so I know what quick and easy looks like, this is genuinely good work). We were back in the apartment after the repairs and it was like nothing ever happened. Exchange on the 8 took amazing care of us and I have never had any chance to say anything bad about them throughout my time as a resident. Thanks, Exchange on the 8!!

Regarding Federico Benallys review, I am the Valley King representative that helped Federico and his roommates find and decide on Exchange on the 8 as the place they wanted to apply. I try my best to understand my customers qualifications before I recommend a property for them to spend their money on application and hold fees. We are successful 99 percent of the time, but we arent perfect, and sometimes we miss key pieces of the puzzle that that the propertys screening process uncovers. Each property has its own unique criteria for deciding which applicants to approve and which ones to decline, and in the final analysis, it is designed for the safety, comfort and equity of all the residents in the community, and to minimize the risk to the community managers, owners and residents. I firmly believe that Exchange on the 8 would have been a great choice for Federico and his roommates, and I do not blame the staff or management at Exchange on the 8 for exercising their due diligence in researching Federico and roommates qualifications as applicants, or the unfortunate outcome for them. I must accept the responsibility alone for my recommending prospective residents that were not adequately screened by me prior to applying. Application fees are never refundable, and holding money at Exchange on the 8 is refunded in a time frame that is consistent with industry standards, nothing out of the ordinary here. I should get the one star review, not the property. Sorry, Federico.

This place has been nothing but a nightmare, I’m currently a resident in this community just moved in 05/22/20. On the very first day I requested to receive my keys early so this way I could get moved in quickly and not have to deal with the heat and traffic nope that was not possible I had to wait until 4:30 pm and was rush to get to the office because the leasing office closes at 5pm. When my fiancé finally got the keys she was told there was a $53 unpaid charge that was not calculated online with no further explanation. Once we got into the apartment which is completely smaller than expected Virtual tour is complete deceptive there is very little storage space hardly any beside for coats and hallway cabinets for wash clothes . There were a host of problems wet paint, clogged sinks closets rods falling down etc. I went into the leasing office today 05/28/2020 to ask if I could have a bike rack placed closer to my apartment because there’s only one on the property mind you there are a few bike racks setting behind some trailers on Northeast side of the property, it was explained to me simply NO and that I would have to move my 3 bikes off my porch because it’s a violation of the lease. Honestly this was a bad decision moving in this community.Follow upTo be fair Ashley from the leasing office did follow up with me and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and also explained that the extra $53 was a miscalculation in the resident portal, also maintenance came and fixed everything I was complaining about.Follow up07/01/20202 of my 3 bikes as I feared were stolen from the bike rack where I was instructed to put my bikes. Because it’s a violation to have them on my stairs/ porch. I called the office and explained what happened and was told that Exchange on the 8th is not responsible for stolen property or damages to property in the park lot or bike racks, and to file a police report so they can have it on record.

Ok... I give this place a 3 because parking is the biggest issue. Customer service is awesome, maintenance is a little slacking but it’s understandable since they have other people to assist. This place is really packed with cars! I work a 10 hour shift come home around 11 PM to pay my bills (including RENT). I’m tired and want to go to get rest. My significant others mom parks in the cover parking and I’m stuck with little (sometimes no) parking. That i have to RISK going into the fire lane or even someone else’s parking ( which I don’t recommend because I got towed lmao) but what else can I do? I can’t just park in the middle of the road can I?I even went down to the front office lady and you know what she tells me or us, that there WILL be parking available in the front. Well she doesn’t close at night so she obviously doesn’t know.I’m trying not to be mean but I’m just frustrated. I hope there’s a solution to this...

This is the most serious case of failed management that I have ever seen, and you will be the one to eat up the cost. I have a lot of complaints that I will mention later, but please--unless you have lots of extra money and time lying around that you dont mind throwing away--really read this first one:When I moved in, I registered my car with the front office. I hadnt driven it in a while because my roommate and I were mostly riding in his car. One day, we were leaving the complex and I noticed my car wasnt there. I called the police to report it stolen and I was told it had been repossessed. I asked why (I didnt owe anything on the car, the tabs were current, it was parked at my own apartment complex where it was registered) and they said they didnt know. I found out that the car had been taken by a towing company that worked with the apartment complex. I went to the front office to ask about it, and they told me first that they didnt even know the car had been towed. Then later they changed their story and said they were sure they knew exactly which car was mine. They told me the car was towed for being unsightly. (Maybe I am biased, but the car just had a dent in it so I would hardly consider it unsightly--it ran and drove and everything and if I could afford a beautiful car, quite frankly, I wouldnt live here). They said they allow the towing guy to make the call on which cars are unsightly and should be towed. This guy makes his money off of towing as many cars as possible. I asked why they didnt first contact me and ask me to move the car since they had it on file so they knew it was mine. I was told that there was no way they could contact every person whose car they were towing. (How many cars are they towing??) They were extremely rude to me and couldnt understand why I was upset. They basically told me it wasnt their problem. I then began working with the towing company. I looked them up to find they are not listed on Google Maps or anything. It is some lot in GLENDALE that only allows you to come pick up the car if you have made an appointment and you come Mon-Fri 9-5 when a lot of people are at work. You pay per day while your car is stored until you can find the time to get all the way out to Glendale during the workweek. When I got there, I was told that I couldnt bring anyone into the gates with me to pay for the car and sign the paperwork (I had brought a friend because this seemed like a sketchy operation). All of this could have been avoided with a simple phone call from the office, but they were completely unwilling to take any responsibility or even be apologetic. They also did not seem interested in making changes so this doesnt happen to other residents in the future. Some other complaints that I have about this apartment complex include:-There is a homeless guy who rides on his bike around the complex on a regular basis and shouts insults at you-The property managers have no idea how to manage the parking. Recently, they decided to add an amendment to the leases that required you to pay $20/spot/month if you wanted to park in the carports that were completely free and ALWAYS AVAILABLE when I first moved in. There is not enough uncovered parking if you dont want to pay for a parking spot. The only system that they have in place to enforce this is that you may call the towing company that the complex works with and wait for them to come out and tow a car if it is parked in your reserved spot. The office does not become involved, but instead hands the job over to a company that operates out of Glendale-There is constantly trash EVERYWHERE-This is the second set of staff members that they have had in one lease period and both sets have been equally rude and unable to handle conflict.-Many of our cabinets are falling off and were that way when we moved in.-Teens/kids/random people loitering near apartments they do not live in

They offer free pest control because they also have a huge roach problem. They also will give you one parking space per apt yet, if you and your roommate arrive home past 7pm, one of you is gonna have to drive circles in the small parking lot in order to find a space. I’ve had to park on the outside of the complex many times because of this. The office employees are strangely friendly. Like, they’re not mean but they don’t have the best customer service. Like many people I order a lot from amazon and I would call the office to confirm that my package arrived and they would never pick up the phone. So, one day when I had the morning off I went into the office and the woman who I talked to insisted on doing it from the comfort of her desk ... behind the glass... then, when I told her I had a package I got the impression that I was inconveniencing her. Overall, I would give this place no stars if I could.

This place is awesome! Very great and reliable customer service, easy to pay rent or power (just off your phone!), and the nicest, safest neighborhood there is. The design of the whole apartments are really soothing, with a nice modern look. The pool area is really the hot spot of the apartments. Right in the middle of the complex, it has a bbq, hammocks, and a hot tub! The power payment is really nice also! I’ve never had or used srp before but they make it so easy for you to pay however much power you want, whenever you want! It’s crazy! The service response time is also outstanding. You just request a service that needs to be done in your apartment if a light goes out or the ac vent gets dirty, the repair men are very reliable. They are also very friendly and fast! Making conversation with them is no challenge at all and they’ll be to your apartment, and in and out before you know it! They’re good at what they do that’s for sure. Last but not least, we have the wonderful office managers. The office managers are the best managers I’ve seen! They really excel at their job like no other. They’re extremely nice, helpful, kind, and just overall really cool people! They always have the desire to help others and really excel at problem solving. Best thing is, they really make you feel welcomed here. Office girls always have something different to say and put you in circles when asking ANY question. But mainly, if you ask when a parking spot will become available, everyone has a different answer. Our friends have found MICE in their apartment, our neighbor had her master bedroom FLOOD. People who don’t know eachother in the complex literally bond over how much they hate living here and how awful it is.

DO NOT. I MEAN DO NOT APPLY. This apartment complex makes you jump through hoops and just to deny you. Then they tell you in person whether it it is the application is cancelled or denied you will receive your holding deposit back. And they have yet to refund it.

REALEST REVIEW YOULL GET::::My lease ends in a few months and Im honestly looking forward to getting out of here. The first two weeks living here, a man chased his girlfriend onto the grass property in his big truck trying to run her down, leaving huge tire skids across the grass. The first month living here my roommates and I were broken into TWICE by two 12 year old boys. They stole laptops, jars of money, clothing, pictures, and iPhones. After contacting the police we told front office management at the time and they didnt seem to show any care. Within the first month of living here, we had to have the maintenance guys come in more than 3 times fixing our dryer, and both toilets on multiple occasions. (He is such a wonderful man!) Things were going okay after a few months, besides the fact there is ABSOLUTELY no parking whatsoever after 10pm. I pay $25 for a parking spot a month. (it increased from $10 to $25) The front office staff has a turn over rate like crazy (probably policy reasons), but since the change in management and new front office ladies, besides the blonde girl whos been there since i moved in (she is such a sweetheart and seems like she does care about her job and the residents!) things became SO MUCH BETTER :) For the price youre paying, you need to accept the fact that 9/10 of your neighbors are all crazy, get used to the screaming kids and random sharpie penis drawings on the ground, and the thin walls. ALL IN ALL; The inside of the apartments look nice and renovated! Staff is now friendly, maintenance guys have always been wonderful! Its just neighbor & kid issues, previous management issues, lack of parking, and the fact the apartments are in HIGH demand for the price and quality they dont have much time to looking into the details of things when it comes to re-renovating an apartment for the next person (thus broken dryer when we moved in and tons of sewage issues) !

This is the worst place Ive ever lived. Management suddenly posed fees for covered parking in the middle of the lease period, but does not provide enough free parking space for those who chooses not to pay or cant afford it. Tenets therefore fights over parking spots. If youre coming home after 6 PM you cant forget it. Your choice will now be to improvise which leads to these predatorial tow trucks towing peoples cars all the way to Glendale, oh and of course you would have to pay $150 plus $25 each day until recovered. One night after coming home late from work, I was forced to sleep in my car to avoid my vehicle towed after watching someone elses get towed. SO HOW DO I CALL THIS A HOME?? My advice to you, it doesnt matter what kind of special they are running, save yourself some headaches and find somewhere else. You might pay a little more but in the long run you will have a peace of mind. THE MANAGEMENT WILL SMILE WITH YOU UNTIL YOU SIGN THAT LEASE, then the misery begins!!!!

After being here for years and switching several Management Staff, it has been a noise nightmare. They seem to have apts that may be subletted and to the best tenants ever! Student Musicians!!! I understand studying your craft, but not at your loadest and hooked up to a speaker. Apartment staff advised they have quiet hours; and well indeed you do but we should not come home from a long day at work and then have to jump onto school for ourselves and then have to hear the overbearing noise of another apartment. Studying is impossible the young minds of the tenants are incoregable. The rudeness and unattentive care of the current management staff is disappointing.

DO NOT MOVE HEREThis is by far the worst place i have ever lived. There is often trash strewn about the grassy areas. Neighbors are loud and unfriendly. The parking situation is the absolute worst. Halfway through my lease, a 20 dollar fee per covered parking spot was added. There is not enough uncovered parking to make up for this, so if you have a friend over on a weekend theyll likely have to park at the park a block away. The management has taken no responsibility for the parrkig situation, putting out a newsletter telling reside to call a towing company if someone is in their spots, essentially pitting the residents against each other due to the managements lack of responsibility.I had left my 2nd car that is not used often in an uncovered spot. My car was towed away due to some damage on the side from an accident i had been in. When i spoke to management about what happened, they told me that there was nothing they could do about it, even though the car was registered on our lease. They were apparently informed that the car was going to be towed, but made no effort to let me know that my car needed to be moved. On top of this, Stephanie, the girl in the office, was extremely rude about the whole situation. This apartment works with a towing company that exploits their residents for profit with no system in place to protect their residents, all to avoid responsibility for their terrible complex.EDIT: I felt the need to add to this since management responded with a complete lie about their involvement with a tow company. When I was in the office, the staff was referring to a specific tow man by name, who patrols the lot regularly looking for cars to tow. When we were notified of the change im pakd parking, the notice called out that single tow company as the one they were working with. Maybe its not technically a contract, but it sure is something.

Never has parking spaces for residents and visitors. They expect you park your car outside of the complex and not caring of what can happen to your car. Never resolved the issue, and every time you confronted the front office about the issue they would always say were working on it. Im like Ive been waiting for you guys to resolve this issue for a year!! SUCH A BAD MANAGEMENT TEAM, NOT RECOMMENDED.

The ladies in the office have been so amazing! Carolina had been a pleasure to work with, she is professional, knowledgeable, and very sweet! We moved here without seeing the place because they do not have a model and have been very full, but we decided to apply and be put on the waitlist. We were on the waiting list for about two months before Sarah called us and let us know they had an apartment for us. They were always very upfront with us about the timeframe which we appreciated, and the apartment was just as they described! Sarah walked through everything with us on our move in date and so far, we are loving our apartment and the community. The fitness center is favorite amenity, it’s never super busy, and it has everything I need. Awesome place!!
