Floor plan is great but what is going on with the farmhouse fence with random apartments!? So many nice apartments in the area but they need Chip and Joanna Gaines to help with landscaping and make overs. This place could be the best in the area but it desperately needs some love and PLEASE take those cheap wood fences down.Stop charging luxury prices for old apartments.

The WORST leasing office I have ever dealt with. The don’t answer calls. Don’t get back to you if you leave a message. I try to call every month and ask how much my rent is and I ALWAYS end up just going in the office because I can never get a call back. They are strict with the outside patio areas but only when management is around. I had a leasing agent tell me I need to put something inside right away because there leasing management team is coming by. So they really don’t care about the appearance of community as much as they care about not getting in trouble with management. It’s annoying when you have had something outside for over a year and then all of a sudden one day it has to come down. I don’t mind abiding by the rules but it’s hard to do so when the rules are incredibly inconsistent. I’m so fed up with this place. The only reason I’m staying here is the floor plan is awesome.

At the end of my lease, since I knew they required two months notice to vacate (which would have been 5/20) I was waiting for my new leasing rates/terms and I never received them. I had gone to the office around the second week of May to see when the new leasing rate will be sent and they said that week or next week, but the average increase of rent would be $25, which seemed reasonable. Come 5/24 and I realize I had not received anything thus far.I go to the office on 5/24 to ask for the terms/rates and they said they dont have them yet but it should be around $16. They said I would have to give my vacating notice that day, if so....without having any written proof of my new terms/pricing. While I will most likely be staying, they essentially could be having me stay by advising of a low increase but increasing it heavily, leaving me being stuck with the price. I have had small concerns with this place but not enough for me to leave but this is super unethical.

It’s been almost 2 months and I still have not received my deposit back. All I get is excuses. I really believe they hold it in hopes that you forget about it so they can keep it. My family and I lived there for a year. The move in process was easy. Very spacious for the price. We did like that our apartment did have plenty of balconies and the balconies by the front door wasn’t shared with the neighbor. Dawn addressed all of our needs and made sure we were taken care of. One thing I would mention, the appliances are a bit out dated however they still work. Maintenance was good they came when we needed them of for all the one offs like the washer leaking and roof crack leaking when it rains but they did fix it. We only moved due to location but other then that it’s a pretty neat community.

Overall, living at Del Coronado was a good experience. I gave this complex 4 stars for a few reasons. The first, is that I felt my unit should’ve been cleaned more thoroughly prior to my moving in. I spent the first month cleaning up pet hair from the previous tenant(s). Even though it wasn’t the Apartment complexs fault, the apartment should’ve at least been move-in ready. Also, the buildings, units, and appliances could use an upgrade or some type of renovation. Everything was old and fragile, contrary the more modern apartments that are common these days. Lastly, during my stay there between March 2018 and February 2019, they changed management and rent went up slightly without warning the residents. Those would be my only cons of this area. The pros of living here are that the complex is very quiet, and the 1 bedroom I rented was cheaper than many other 1 bedroom apartments in the surrounding area. The unit was about 780 square feet, which is bigger than most 1 bedroom apartments in Mesa. Every apartment had a washer and dryer inside, which was a big plus. The community is pet friendly, and has two pools. I enjoyed my time here. Had I stayed in Mesa for longer, I would’ve renewed my lease with Del Coronado.

I really enjoy living here. I feel safe, the area is relatively quiet, lots of parking space, and the front office staff is always super nice. Plus, the dog park is convenient. Any concerns Ive had regarding maintenance have been taken care of very quickly. The apartments do look pretty old, and could definitely use some new cabinetry and updated appliances, maybe a few improvements for the dog park, but other than that, I think its great.

We enjoy living here overall. When we first moved in it was horrible because we were surrounded by people smoking pot and cigarettes in their apartments and it would come into ours and neither of us smoke. Plus, my husband is in the field of social work and if they did random testing and it came back positive he would be fired. However, they all finally left and our experience has been great.Since new management took over theyve added some nice plants, the pools are clean most of the time, except when some residents throw parties and drink alcohol and mess up the area, lol. Also, the front hot tub never worked right. It was always cold and the jets never worked. It does now. The front pool was also supposed to be heated in the winter and it never was. Looking forward to that. The layout of the apartments are great. Makes them feel spacious. Having the laundry is awesome. However, the cabinets do need updating as do the appliances. Our dish washer has never worked right and we just do them the old fashioned way. The cabinets, though, are the biggest problem. They are definitely original to the units.Overall, the staff and definitely the maintenance team are awesome and have worked with us through a major surgery I had, my husband being laid off, its been interesting. We enjoy it here for the most part and will stay until we are ready to move to something larger.Passing this place up could be a loss for you if youre considering living here. Weve been here a year and a half and have no regrets.Plus, being pet friendly is HUGE! Our two little pups love it here and it seems most owners are responsible with their dogs.

I regret to inform anyone who read the bad reviews about this place and thought they may be exaggerated, they hold true. The apartments themselves are nicely sized for the price, but the complex seems run down and even the model home was falling to bits. The reason the price is so low is because no one wants to live here. If you visit this complex during the day, you might see nothing wrong with the neighbourhood, but if you visit it at night you will soon understand why you wouldnt want to live here. There is copious amounts of undesirable crime and shady individuals that overflow here at night with cops having to visit frequently. If safety is not a concern, your next big issue is the staff. As stated in multiple other reviews, the front office staff is lacklustre at best. The lady who gave us tour, while nice, seemed uncaring and uninterested the entire time. This carried over to the application where attempting to reach them or communicate is near impossible. When you finally connect with one of them it is somehow your fault that they are unwilling to communicate. Regardless of evidence you may have in attempts to contact them, they are unwilling to accept their ineptitude. I would never recommend this place unless your alternative is the streets.

D-e-s-e-r-i, deseri, claiming to be the assistant manager provided me with the worst costumer service I have received from anyone. Her customer service skills are more in tune with the fast food service industry, as a cook. She spelled out her name for me to write a review, which she did not care. Amazing, how some people can be so unqualified and still retain a job. Anyways, I have been renting from El Coronado for about 6 months, definitely will not renew after today nor will I recommend this place. I called to ask for an extension to have my car park in my assigned parking spot, so that it might not be towed. Is a 2015 vehicle that suffered electrical issues and Im still paying for it. This lady, rudely suggested I find somewhere off the property to park it, which is insane since I pay my rent on time to be able to store my car there. I told her that in this crisis it would be nice to see some understanding from businesses, but she rudely said that [she] would not answer that because it doesnt make any sense. It must be nice to be able to talk down to people when you have a job. I wasnt asking for a deferement on my rent or anything just sometime to fix my vehicle, less than a month is not an easy repair computers are fried. So if you have a car and it happens to break down they will tow it, no exceptions, they will not let you park it there even if it is for less than a month. Also this is not a safe place, police patrols constantly on the property, the pool was closed by the state because of a lack of chlorine, most roofs leak water, appliances are older, roach problems, and lacking custer service. Cant wait to not renew my lease

I just moved in and the complex definitely has a worn feel to it. There is dog poop everywhere. The bushes, plants and gravel arent neatly maintained once you leave the front of the property. My apartment wasnt very clean when I moved in. I found stains on the counter tops, and bathtubs, and hair on the toilet. One of my windows is cracked and the weather stripping around the front door, that doesnt latch properly unless the deadbolt is engaged, is non existent. EDIT - They came out in February to replace my door saying the door was warped and causing the issue. The new door...? Still isnt sealed or latching properly. Now the door knob sticks and so does the deadbolt and I CAN STILL SEE DAYLIGHT through my closed door. The kitchen cabinets are all worn and scratched and poorly stained. There is only one ceiling fan, in the dining area, and no built in lighting in the bedrooms. *update- there is pigeon poop all over my front porch/patio and the pigeons are roosting under the eaves behind the pigeon spikes. When I requested maintenance to remove the pigeons and clean it up their solution was to hose off my patio. THIS DOESNT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. Pigeon poop carries disease and theyve pooped all over my stairs/patio/handrails. Disgusting! EDIT - They did come out and put up new pigeon spikes but the pigeons have just moved to my bedroom window. Dont rent here. They do a half assed job of everything!! UGh!

She cut me off, and answered questions as I was trying speak, assuming she knew my question though she was incorrect. When we went to view the room she gagged the whole way though the place saying it smelt so bad and how could her cleaning guys be so careless. It was highly unprofessional. She also told me she would not take me to the dog park because if is hot but that I could walk to the other side of the property by myself and she would give me a map. I was very dissapointed in the tour overall. But, that means we get a lot of bad overflow. We used to have a great maintenance crew until they all left 6 months ago and now nothing gets done. The kids broke the tennis court net about 8 months ago and it is still broken with no net. We paid a 400$ pet deposit plus 20$ a month and they rarely have dog bags in the pet waste stations. After getting nowhere with the office i emailed the property management company and never heard back. On a positive note, I do not own a pitbull, but LOVE that they are pitbull friendly! DO NOT RENT HERE!Whatever you do, avoid this place if possible.I was supposed to move in on the 5th of March and was asked to push the move-in date to the 9th so that my apartment could be prepared and cleaned for move-in. When I received my keys on the 9th, I entered my apartment and found that it had not been cleaned. I went to the office and was told the cleaning crew would come out and go through the apartment again. They also set an appointment for maintenance to come that Thursday the 14th. On Tuesday the 12th, having not heard from the cleaning crew, I went back to the office and asked about it and was told they would come on the 14th too. The person I spoke to in the office came and walked through the apartment with me and noted how dirty it was and mentioned that the carpet probably should have been replaced as well and that the apartment was in “unacceptable” condition. On Thursday (14th) the cleaning and maintenance people showed up and went through the kitchen and painted over some of the stains on the ceiling and cleaned (barely). The gentleman from maintenance told me they would be out later to replace the refrigerator and the microwave or at least the microwave panel since it’s obviously malfunctioning. On the 18th or 19th I went to the office to add the dishwasher to the list of things that were not working properly and was told I (again) would hear from maintenance. On the 21st I went back to the office, having not heard from maintenance and was told they were short-handed and they would get to me when they could and they might have to find new appliances for me.On the 28th maintenance arrived at my apartment to fix the closet door that has been broken since I moved in. They told me that there was no set time for me to receive working appliances, but I could pay an extra $25 every month if I wanted them to replace them with new appliances.Since then I have spoken in person and on the phone with several people from the leasing office to no avail. I also opened several maintenance work orders. I even called the parent company (Priderock Capital Partners) where I was promised they would contact me and that my concerns would be addressed. They never contacted me.On April 23rd, roughly 6 weeks after moving in, maintenance came out to replace my dishwasher. They did, with a used one that was filthy (see pictures) and even had a spoon from the previous person that used it at the bottom (no silverware tray though). I was informed they would be out on the 24th to address the microwave and I can only guess what Ill end up with. This place is gross. Rent elsewhere unless you want to live in a rundown ghetto apartment with broken appliances. Im currently cleaning my disgusting dishwasher to see if it might be usable. Wish me luck.

Our AC Unit is very inefficient and cannot keep our apartment under 80 degrees when its tripple digit outside. We pay close to $10/day for running the AC all day during the summer. This is obviously not normal, so I brought it to the leasing and managers attention regarding the AC would get stuck at 84 degrees at the hottest times of the day during the summer. We were hoping that the whole AC Unit would be replaced and a newer one would be used, but they just replaced the air handler that made absolutely no difference and kept telling us that the whole AC unit was replaced which is completely false. A couple weeks after this, we started having cricket infestation which they also denied.UPDATE 03/11/21: They lied to us about replacing the whole AC unit when we told them how could they replace it if the AC was running all day non stop and we were home the same day, all day. Unfortunately, they ghosted on us after that and had to live through it. We later found out that it was the circulation of the AC UNIT that was never resolved due to the apartment unit being old(as we were told). Heater never worked and constantly denies that we dont have cricket infestation when we had multiple pest control visit our unit. A few of them even said that there is definitely cricket infestation after looking around the apartment. The last pest control even told us the previous pest control company never sprayed around the apartment complex. Whenever we show leasing and manager pictures of the crickets on the traps, they ghost on us and never reply back to any of our emails and calls. Manager Tina offered us to leave last year due to these unresolved issues(that still reman unresolved till this day), but we told her we werent in the position right now and that we just want these issues resolved, so we held up on the move/transfering out until were in the the position to do so. We were finally in the position and filed a 30 day notice to vacate due to the unresolved issues Ive mentioned above. Yes, sadly there are still cricket infestation, AC still lacks airflow throughout all vents, so we have solid reasons ever since these problems occurred and that was almost since move in day. We were told that we had to do a proper 60 day notice to vacate and told us we have to pay 2 months worth of rent for the lease break fee. We asked leasing and manager if the break lease fee will be waived off due to these unresolved issues. The only response I got back from them was that option was only available last year before I renewed the lease. We said, that doesnt mean the problems were fixed. In fact, the problems stayed unresolved as they are still crickets being caught on our cricket traps that Ive been using the past year and a half in this apartment. Also, AC still lacks airflow in all vents, and our heater still does not work. These problems still persists, told them we werent in the position to transfer out or move out then, but now that we are in the position, they act like the problems weve mentioned above are fixed which they never were. Yes, we are still dealing with crickets and still catching them on the cricket traps on the daily basis. Yes, we had to spend $600 on a portable AC since they cannot fix the air circulation of the AC unit and lastly, yes, we had to get our own little space heater since the heater never worked.I advise everyone to stay away from this apartment as far away as possible unless you want to test your luck. Do your own research and trust your gut before signing a lease to any apartment! After living here for 2 years and having to deal with these unresolved issues Ive mentioned above, we wish we had listened to the guy who waited for us at the front door of the leasing office who warned us to not live here on the first day after just signing a 12 month lease. This is sadly a true story Im hoping nobody goes through

Lived here for years.. not a lot to complain about. just a few things here and there. but most of the pros that have been written are true. cons... i dont have any a top of my head to list.... hmm, but hey.. this place is huge and so many residents... which means we get them all. all in all, i would recommend this place.

I just moved in, It has not even been a month,The apartment is nice, the grounds seem well taken care of but the office staff seems really clueless, Or that is to say everyone marches to the beat of their own drummer told many conflicting things for same issue and was spoken down to when I questioned the charges. I REALLY hope the rest of my lease is not like this.

My husband and I have lived here for the past two and a half years and have had an overall great experience. Office and maintenance staff has always been very friendly and quick to respond to any of our needs. Our neighbors are amazing and helped us out after we had our little one-- that seems so rare in most apartments Ive lived in. Though the general area is a rough one we have never had any trouble and there occasional patrols that drive through the complex. The grounds are neat and always well kept. I took one star away for a bed bug issue we had early on in our time here-- they dealt with it but the process was slow and painful and we were living out of suitcases for a month during the holidays. Other than that little hiccup though our time here has been great and we are very sad to be leaving. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking to rent a quality apartment affordably.

Edit: Looking back at all the Del Coronado reviews, all the string of fake five star reviews from employees in the past year are comical and unethical, typical IMT. Please never rent from this company.Del Coronado Apartments taught me several life lessons while living there for nearly four years, ending in May 2017.The most important lesson I learned is the value in doing routine maintenance on washing machine water inlet hoses as the manufacturers suggest and common sense dictates. Acting negligent with this common sense routine maintenance means that the hose will 100% eventually burst and create a very costly and time wasting flood for the building owner and occupant. Luckily for me the indoor rain started falling in my downstairs apartment at 11pm so I was able to happily wake up and start moving everything of value onto my front porch in the middle of Mesa Arizona on a weekday night. When talking to the apartment manager the next day after all the issues the night before, she looked confused and dumbfounded at the idea of routine maintenance. She could not understand the idea of proactively buying a $5 hose and replacing it as the manufacturer suggests every 5-15 years. I even tried to make her understand the simple concept by relating it to car maintenance but it confused her even more.Even to this day I know she has not made any changes to this fix it after the flood policy because there was a flood afew months before I moved out at another apartment. Ignorance is bliss! The fun then continued into the cleanup stage. After the flood they come in your home and cut several holes in the wall and ceiling for air flow with several fans pointed on them, they then rip the carpet up to blow several fans under it with all of the electricity for the fans and cleanup tools being paid for by the resident. I eventually did ask them for a humble rent credit for the electricity cost and they told me to pound sand (not in those words but I got the message), Thanks Friends! The kicker is, if I did not act quick and move all of my stuff out of the indoor rain and onto my porch to avoid major damage to my own property, they were going to expect me to pound sand and not offer me a dime for my financial losses due to their own blatant negligence. They expected me to use my own insurance and refused to use theirs. I can only imagine if it happened while I was at work and all of my possessions were actually destroyed. Thanks for the memories Del Coronado, it was a joy.

My review of Del Coronado comes after living there for just about one year, and our single lease. My girlfriend and I moved here from Washington, and we came down months ahead of time to scout apartments. We chose DC primarily for the fact that it was one of two places in the valley that would let us have our American Pitbull Terrier without question, and we highly appreciate that fact. Were strong advocates for the breed, and the fact that the preconceived notion is not on the breed, but their owner. There are many different breeds of dogs running around the complex, and its amazing to see.The apartment unit by itself: our space was good for a couple, in their early twenties, and their dog. Of course, when moving into an apartment, you give up certain liberties, and Ill let you figure that out on your own. When we moved in, we did have to claim plenty of deficiencies, like a broke agitator on the washer, and plenty of patched up holes in the walls and doors. The door had previously been kicked in, as noticed by the fact the dead bolt had been reinforced by a metal plate. Our biggest gripe (and again, I speak for our unit and not the complex as a whole) is the fact our AC unit was just that – a single engine placed in the hallway just outside the two bedrooms, loud at night and constantly on to take into account the changes temperatures. Loud is not an understatement. Our neighbors were great people. Never had a problem with noise, but again, I speak for myself. There are definite cases of people being VERY loud, whether it be music, arguing or TVs. Again, these are liberties you sacrifice when living in an apartment. The grounds themselves are good okay at best. Once again taking into consideration that you live with hundreds of neighbors, you have to deal with dog droppings everywhere. Once, I was confronted (at a distance of course) by a groundsperson by the name of Johnny for my dog apparently doing his business and not picking it up. I say apparently because he was not doing such, as I explained to Johnny very kindly and proving to him with pictures evidence. Because Johnny could not apparently be wrong, he continued his tirade, expressing that he doesnt care for his job and that I can “take it up with the front office” and that they would “take his side anyways”. There is always furniture quite literally piled up as high as the dumpster and taking up three times the amount of space as said dumpster (we live in the back right corner of the complex). The last thing I want to do is park my $45,000 Audi next to a literal pile of trash, dumpster aside. Lastly, expect to have a near-miss driving anywhere in the parking lot at least once a month. Its not an apartment problem, its an AZ driver problem, but people dont care to stop when and where they are required to, but blow past blind corners and cut through parking spaces in the name of avoiding speed bumps. The gals at the front office are good people, and we especially liked Kayla, but unfortunately she is no longer there. We did have an issue where they gave one of our packages away on accident and we did have to get it replaced. One of their selling points is that the complex is monitored by Mesa Police and that its a drug free residence, and both are lies. Cops are only here when theres a problem, and this place is far from drug free. The maintenance people however are top notch. Weve requested their assistance three times over the course of living here and they were prompt and thorough every time.Long story short: this place is good if you fully accept the life of living in an apartment complex in not-the-greatest of cities in the valley. Its a great place for your first apartment, but if you enjoy independence and everything that comes with it, youll sacrifice some.

Do not rent here beware!!! You will never get out of your lease if you need to early without them charging you $2,500, even though they know youre moving out for months prior. And they will lie and the corporate representative will not help you at all. Cases filed with two separate entities of the government against this company. Both cases company will not respond, leaving them in guilt by default. Corporate manager doesnt care about tenants or properties because she owns her own business and only works because shes bored. They also give special favors 2 people that they like ie letting them move out early without any fees, but yet kicking people out who have terminal illnesses that are fighting for their lives. They dont care unless they can make money off of it or the property manager really likes you, which never happens if youre a female so beware, and still rarely happens even if you are male. The three years I lived there 4 staff members had quit that I had known outside of their work at the complex. All four of them told me things that property management and corporate had done illegally, including insurance fraud by telling tenants their checks werent collected or cashed due to theft, even though Western Union and moneygram has the deposit records to their accounts. Still they are filing police reports falsely and then writing it off to insurance and charging tenants for the entire month again. When all the while it was an employees error in depositing them on time. And once youre out of there you will not return calls or help you out in any way to get records of your tenancy there. Their uncooperative in any way shape or form, and they do not tell you of your options if you have to move out early or if something happens by any means making you late for rent. 7 different apartments that I was friends with moved out of there on bad terms with in the last 2 years that I was there! They will also promise you things when you move and you will never provide you with and they will leave you with damaged apartments for months and send maintenance out to pretend to fix it and really just to Jimmy rig it temporarily, so one day 2 days a week a month down the road it breaks once again and again and again and again beware beware!!Update...BBB deemed my case in favor of tenant due to negligience of the company and lack of concern for what was offered verbally and legally documented vs. What was actually received from the company. Furthermore documentation from my physician was promptly provided to complex manager and was refused because this doesnt have your complete diagnosis, it only states you cannot live at your current location any longer due to medical conditions that are not legally required for this legal document as per medical privacy acts. She refused if and wanted my complete medical records which is not legal. A physicians note and signature on prescription pad or legal letterhead is all thats required by law. But alas this company does not feel they are in need of following the law. They also took my entire 1k of deposits and only made claim to one damage thing under 100 dollars and stated it was in the bedroom and it wasnt. I well documented the entire apartment with photos and witnesses and a third and fourth party walk through and statements. Still they claimed I owe more money to them. This place was a joke. A total nightmare living situation that made me want to hang myself from the ceiling but I was afraid that might just bring the whole roof down.

Well what can I say been here for going on five years they replaced the managers in the office now things here are terrible. They hate kids ( and we live right across from a school). They are snotty treat you as a nobody. They only enforce the rules to certain people others can do as they like. IMT really needs to check into the managers they hire. I am moving out ASAP and I will not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Oh Im sure they will post a comment on how sorry they are and what can they do to help. News Flash did contact them and they did nothing. So my advice is stay away There are to many apartments around go where the management treats you like a person not a dollar sign.
