My little one hadn’t had a haircut in a while and asked for something called a wolf cut. So I called here and was able to get her an appointment within a couple days. The receptionist recommended Lisa and she was so nice! When I get my dreads brushed out (it’s going to take me another 8 weeks at the rate I’m going), then I’m going to make my appointment with her and I’ll add photos- she knew what a wolf cut was and my daughter’s hair came out just like she wanted. She styled it beautifully. I added a collage photo- the befores are the top two, afters are the bottom. There wasn’t a wait more than a couple minutes, it was clean and the music was good. We really liked it here!

Definitely never setting foot in this place again. My hair was dyed (professionally not box dye) darkest brown and was about 2” below my shoulders. I wanted highlights to break up my grey roots as they came in and an inverted stacked bob haircut. I said I know lifting the dark brown is difficult and I’d like to go slowly. Well….. I got this choppy frazzled mess curtesy of Lisa. The front of my hair is frizzy and breaking from being over bleached. And the stacked bob? Except some super uneven random layers nothing about this looks like an inverted stacked bob. $230 + tip later. Super annoyed. And these pics are after i fixed it as best as i could. After scrunching and blow drying sent me out the door looking like an orange dandelion meets Ann Landers. I’m driving an hour and a half to my old stylist to fix this disaster. Wish I had my soft shiny brown locks back. Or at least the $230

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.Definitely one of the worst salons I have ever been to the workers are rude and disrespectful and clearly don’t care about their clients hair. Before coming in I have heard many rumors about how the hair stylists would tell their clients that their hair looks good, or overcharging them for something that they didn’t ask for. Having them walk out of the salon without them happy with. I’ve also noticed how other workers bash on younger employees. Do better.

I recently moved to Nassau County and in need of a hair stylist for my short hair. After reviewing many salons I chose Giovanna’s, and an absolutely excellent choice it was. Giovanna is a highly skilled and very artistic master-hair stylist, this is by far the very best haircut and style I’ve had in my life! It was amazing to watch her scissor-cut and sculpt my hair. This salon offers so many other services, I can’t wait to return!

After moving to the area, I am so happy to have found GIovanna hair salon. I have had my hair cut twice with GIovanna and both times I have left so happy with a great haircut. She respects only getting a trim and keeps the length while keeping hair healthy, and also great conversation. Highly recommend!!

We have had great experiences any time we have been in the salon. My girls have had their hair done for occasions in updos that lasted and looked beautiful.

Best Salon I know - Worth the price. I have been going to this place for many years with my grandmother, & it has the best quality of everything. Joseph really knows hair, what I want, & what looks good on people. You can even bring a picture reference of the hair you want & hes willing to try anything. I have gotten haircuts, prom-doos, wedding styling, my hair dyed for the 1st time, manicures/pedicures, waxing, even facials & they are all amazing!! Plus the results last a long time. The shampoos also smell heavenly and you get a nice head massage during the washing. Rose always did my nails & she is so nice & talkative & caring. The only downside is the younger girls who work upstairs in the nail section can be quite rude, loud, & inappropriate in their conversations - Just immature. But its so worth it.

Giovanna is an expert who does a terrific job. After she has cut my hair, people always ask where I have had it done. A friend recommended her salon a couple of years ago to me and now I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I have been going here since I was young, I tired a few other hair dressers and didnt like the end product until I was paired with jen. She gives you exactly what you are looking for every time. Jen is not pushy like most and will calmly suggest another option based upon you hair type of needed. She is a wonderful person as well as a hair dresser.RECOMMENDED HIGHLY!
