My experiences with this gym have been overwhelmingly positive. Professor Kim is an excellent teacher and all the other instructors are top notch. The community is very welcoming and the gym itself is clean, well kept and functional for the class sizes. Highly recommend checking it out if you are interested in Jiu Jitsu!

I started at Kennys in September of last year and it has been a truly impact full experience. I have trained at a number of gyms and with some of the top instructors in the world. Kennys instruction and coaching is top-tier for sure. The school environment is a great balance of welcoming and challenging that allows students on either end of the spectrum to thrive. I would absolutely recommend to a friend and have many times.

Incredible gym, I had some nerves coming in at first. However, those nerves went out the door with the warm welcome and helpfulness by the instructors as well as the students. Iv been going to Kenny Kim BJJ for 9 1/2 months now and cant recommend it enough. This school is highly reputable with great instructors, a wide array of class times, open to age groups varying from young kids to teenagers to the adult classes which is the largest group and comprises students from young adults to over 55. Whether you are looking to get in shape and lose weight, learn self defense, and/or compete, this school is an excellent choice.

I have read and heard great things about Kenny Kims gym and I thought I was going to have a good experience but unfortunately I was unsatisfied with the experience. You see I called Kenny back in February of this year because I was heading to Georgia in March and I tried to schedule an appointment three weeks ahead of time. I had a few questions I wanted to ask and he told me that I could come and visit his school. When I arrived I had my temperature checked and introduced myself to Kenny and started to observe his class. When I was finished I asked him would it be ok if I ask him some questions but he rudely cut me off and stated that should have scheduled an appointment which I did and he seem like he didnt have the patience to work with me and my goals. I didnt stay long because I felt disrespected and embarrassed but fortunately I managed to find another school. Like what Jake said Im writing because Im concerned about future guess going to this school with good intentions but ends bup being pushed away or disrespected and because of this experience I will not be coming to this school ever again. I wish them the best.

I tried several BJJ dojos before Kenny Kims and I found KK much better in terms of the general vibe and the quality of instruction. Professor Kennys instruction and coaching is very detailed and thorough. The senior belts at the dojo are very helpful to new students and I have learnt a great deal from them. The dojo offers several session options (early mornings, pre lunch, evenings) throughout the week that makes it possible to train no matter what your work/family schedule looks like. Id say if you are looking to train consistently and for a long time to come, this dojo is well suited for you. There are options to train to compete in tournaments if that is your thing. The dojo meets you where you are in your training journey and helps you get better at it. I wholeheartedly recommend Kenny Kims BJJ.

I began training at Kenny Kim’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in December of 2018, and it has easily been one of the best decisions that I have made not only in the past year, but in my entire life. Since day one Kenny and all of the instructors and students have made me feel as if I’m part of a family and closely knit team. There are a wide variety of class times and class structures that will work with everyone’s schedules and goals they are trying to achieve. The mats and facilities are state of the art and kept incredibly clean at all times. Everything about this academy is truly welcoming. Bottom line, if you want to fall in love with the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or take your game to the next level, this is quite simply the best place in Georgia to do that.

Started bringing my kids last November and have seen a tremendous impact on not just what they can do on the mat but outside of the gym most importantly. The staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. Great instructors as well.

I came to KKBJJ with no grappling experience of any kind. The instructors have always been talented, encouraging, and patient. It has now been 5 1/2 years and I have found the most enjoyable exercise I have ever experienced. Not only is it awesome physically, but it is an amazing mental workout as Jiu Jitsu is a sport of mind as much as it is the body. I have made great friends and I am hooked for life. I intend to train under Professor Kenny for the rest of my days. I can’t recommend this academy enough.

Great place to train,, super clean, excellent facilities, and a lot of hospitality. On Sundays, they have an Open Mat that really brings the BJJ community together. BJJ practitioners come from all over Atlanta and GA, for that matter, to participate at all levels. Highly recommended.

Great place for any type of person interesting in learning BJJ. This academy has very knowledgeable instructors as well as methods of teaching. The place is clean and the environment is friendly, comfortable, fun and supportive. For someone who is very small and had zero experience in ANY martial arts prior to this, I was hooked the first day. I genuinely look forward to class every day as this has now become my “break”. The students and staff are also a great bunch of people. Highly encourage people to try it out.

One of the best self defense and workout you can get into if you live near Marietta. Professor Kenny Kim is one of those guys who loves to teach others to better themselves. Anyone who steps in the building is part of the family and BJJ brings everyone closer for no particular reason.

Honestly cant think of anything that needs improvement or could be done better. The classes are many and at various times for all students, everyone is dedicated and skilled which makes everyone a great training partner, and theres a strong sense of family and sportsmanship. Its by far the largest jiu-jitsu school Ive ever been to but also the nicest and most well run. I really cant think of an area that needs improvement. A spa next door to get a good rub down after Saturday classes would be nice for all of the aches and pains from the week! HahaBut thank you sir, Im elated to have martial arts back in my life and especially BJJ. Ive made excuses for far to long and it feels great to be back and be at a school I admire and respect very much. KKBJJ!

Training with Professor Kim and his staff are the highlights of my week. The facilities are great -- always clean and neat. The staff is always professional and supportive, regardless of where you are in your training in terms of skill or physical fitness. The environment is extremely positive, and Professor Kim and his staff encourage and reinforce that environment to make training a great experience.

Although I am not a full time student at Kenny Kims gym, he opens his doors to me regularly. This is proof of his love for jiu jitsu and the community that comes along with it. His passion for the sport and lifestyle shines through on and off the mats. He is always happy to help anyone who walks through his doors with a huge smile on his face. His gym is pristine and his students are always respectful and welcoming. He has established a safe and positive place to train, resulting in an amazing team. I’ve attended several classes over the last week and I am learning more than I thought I would in that timeframe. KKBJJ does a great job explaining techniques and the numerous classes offered make it convenient for a lot of schedules.

Ive been part of the BJJ commnity in the northwest for about 4 years now. The BJJ scene in the area is huge. Im affiliated with impact jiu-jitsu theres schools all over the Portland metro area and spreading. Michael Chapman is the founder of the Impact jiu-jitsu. He has like 23 or more blackbelts at his school. I recived my blue belt from Richard Rangel at Impact Hillsboro. Upon visiting Kennys school being 2500 miles from home I was expecting to recieve a warm welcome from the BJJ community however that was not the case. I felt like I was treated cold or even an outsider. I was requseting to join their class, Ive been on the road. Apparently the BJJ culture is not the same here. However I highly reccomend trying another school this one seems to be more interested in money than things like kindness hospitality or brotherly love. I didnt get a chance to roll with them they appered to be skilled but theres Mcdojo schools and fake black belts all over so I would be careful sending your children here or paying them money to get a sub par education.Just a concerned student.

Great place to train and get in better shape!

I trained here for almost a year and loved it. I was new to BJJ and had some trepidation about a sport that could potentially cause an injury that would affect my career as a professional pilot. I quickly learned that Master Kim knows how to run a school where you train hard in an environment that fosters taking care of each other as training partners. Master Kim is a charismatic instructor that draws a good group of students around him. I would recommend this school for all walks of life and will be one of the things I miss most about Atlanta.

The facility is great here but the staff was so-so. Not a very pleasant experience. Would not recommend. More about the money and not the curriculum and education of Brazilian Jiu JItsu. Plenty of other great gyms in the area, I wouldnt bother with this place.

Trained here for 3 years and loved every second of it. Master Kim, Jake, Jason, and the rest of the gang were always great to work with. If youre near Marietta, I cant recommend this gym highly enough.

This is an awesome gym with an awesome instructor to match. Ive only been training here for 7 months, but the quality of instruction has been sublime. Master Kim makes every effort to give an individual yet equal amount of instruction to each student while he maintains the integrity of group level instruction. I also appreciate that the student population is diverse. He is welcoming off anyone who has a desire to learn ... regardless of race, gender, age, etc. Sometimes, I arrive early for the advanced adult class, and I get the opportunity to observe the kids class. Hes great with kids. I cant imagine how difficult it is to teach a large group of children while keeping them engrossed and entertained, but he accomplishes this large feat rather effortlessly. He also holds one of the few (if any) BJJ tournaments for kids in the southeast, and the kids love it. In addition to the quality of instruction, I am equally impressed by how clean the facilities are. The mats are cleaned several times a day, the restrooms and shower are consistently clean, the training area is spacious, and the training mats are NICE. Ive been spoiled. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in training Jiu Jitsu and learning self defense.

When I started at Kenny Kims BJJ I weighed 317lbs, pretty much had a permanent bottle of rum attached to my hand and quite literally couldnt do everyday tasks without getting exhausted, I would be completely out of breath from things like tying my shoes or taking out the trash. Add on top of that suffering from pretty bad anxiety all my life, needless to say starting something like BJJ was daunting to say the least. I even emailed Professor Kenny beforehand because I was so nervous about getting started.Professor Kenny emailed me back quickly and even personally gave me a call to chat for a bit about my concerns. He obviously told me he completely understood where I was coming from and encouraged me to give it a shot. He said he very much encourages me to just do what I can and take breaks as I need, that I would slowly work my way up to being able to hang with the rest of the class! So thats exactly what I did, and NO-ONE batted an eye. The Academy fosters such a team oriented environment and you can feel it as soon as you step onto the mats, the facility is kept very clean and orderly as well. I can honestly say Ive NEVER had ONE negative experience at Kenny Kim BJJ. Its become my little happy place that I cant wait to get into every chance I get.Ive been training now for right around 5 months, I weigh 250lbs, eat better, and rarely drink anymore. My entire life has gone 180, the discipline I learned on the mats spilled over into literally every other aspect of my life and influenced me into making better decisions for myself. Ive made tons of good friends, feel the best Ive ever felt, and get to feel what it feels like to be part of a team who legitimately cares about me and my progress. I wouldnt trade my experience for anything, and Im just getting started! If youre thinking about giving it a shot, you literally have nothing to lose! Go do it! It might just be the best decision you make!
