I previously gave this place one star because I did not feel they handle how unhappy I was with my service very well. They did reach out and allowed me to come in another time to get them fixed which I appreciated very much. They are good at being thorough with their work. Where do I even begin? Today I had the worst nail experience of my life.A male nail tech used the wrong color dip powder for the lower part of the french tip. He finished a whole hand before I noticed how it looked. There were white spots and it looked terrible. I asked him what it was, and after having to speak to the manager, he agreed to fix it. The manager had to practically teach him how to do french dip. He used the nail drill to take it all off. He filed all the way to my nail and past it. He would look away as he used it (hence my red irritated cuticles in the pictures below). He used the nail drill for so long on a specific nail to the point that it was extremely painful. He had filed through my nail and was burning the skin under my nail with the nail drill. I asked him to stop because it hurt. He would move on to another nail, but then would go back to that one. I would ask him to stop again and the process would repeat. Eventually it was so painful that I was shaking and in tears. The manager walked by and saw me crying because of the pain and offered me a new nail tech.The new nail tech was very kind. She apologized for the other nail tech. She took off the rest of the dip correctly (using acetone first to dissolve it). The manager told me that Id get $10 off. At that point I was still bawling from the intense pain caused by my previous nail tech. As the new nail tech was doing my nails, I expressed my concerns about potential permanent nail damage. She responded by telling me that it would be free this time because of that. I expected her to be their best nail tech. But as she did my manicure, I realized she wasnt. Luckily she didnt injure me further and said, Ill make them as good as I can. Quite honestly, I would have asked for my nails to be redone if I hadnt been there for 2 hours already for a single manicure. My nails are now bumpy and uneven. They are different lengths and shapes. The white of the french tips are uneven and crooked.I went to the front afterwards and was rung up. The manager and the new nail tech spoke and then I was given a $10 discount. I had to pay $42 to be injured and have my time wasted. I shouldnt have to pay a dime. Honestly, I should have been treated much better considering I could file a personal injury lawsuit.To DB Nails and Spa,I have a few suggestions for you. 1. Teach the first nail tech some safety precautions regarding the nail drill. He shouldnt be looking away while using it. 2. When a customer is crying because of the pain inflicted by a nail tech, dont make them pay. That is ridiculous. I did not pay to get injured. 3. Use a french tip stencil. My nails could have been so much better if they were done correctly. 4. Dont make the customer pay when you told them that they wouldnt have to.

I am visiting the area to be with family. I am originally from California. I came in to do a full set on myself, my mother-in-law and a manicure for my daughter. As soon as we got there everybody was very polite and greeted us. We did wait around 30 minutes, it did look extremely busy but we did not mind because the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. All three nail technicians that assisted us were very friendly and attentive to what we wanted in terms of our nails. We held great conversation throughout the whole process and my nail technician even wax my eyebrows which I did not plan to do. She did an amazing job! The whole process was extremely easy and we didn’t mind waiting to be seated and taken care of because the entire staff was so courteous. This was our first time here and I highly recommend the salon to anybody looking to get their nails done. We will be in town for a couple of weeks and I will definitely be back to get a fill. We really appreciate the entire staff for their hospitality! :)

First time I went here and they seriously did their thing on my nails!!! I got almond acrylics with a design from Pinterest and they turned out awesome. Gel pedicure looks great too!! Will return!!

I went to get my nails done and i usually get gel but i wanted to try dip because all my friends get it and love it. But they are soo thick it looks like i have claws. I’ll be going back because i know they can do designs but i will NOT be getting the dip powder!!!

They were super busy but the service I received while waiting was awesome! Once I was serviced the nail tech was super friendly and did a great job for both my daughter and myself. I truly believe that the type of atmosphere you walk into immediately makes a difference and this place was awesome! I can see why they stay busy and have regular customers that keep coming back! It was my very first time ever in this nail salon. I absolutely loved Ethan he was the sweetest nail tech I’ve ever had he genuinely cared about what I wanted my nails have never felt and looked so amazing in my entire life. I highly recommend them to absolutely anyone who may be a little bit hesitant to get their nails done. They really care about you and super sweet. I will returning!!

Update* the photo I posted is a week and a half later. They are still breaking and very brittle and still have white lines and scratches/divets.The first time I went in, they buffed and used acetone to remove the dip. I was kind of spaced out and not paying much attention to my nails as they dipped them. When it was done they were a little wonky, but I just filed and shaped them - since I was spaced out, i’m sure it was harder to work on them.I decided to go back to get the dip removed since they used the acetone the first time. Well, unfortunately he began using his fingernail to pry one off that I broke earlier that day. Then he moved on to other nails, using acrylic nails when his own fingernails couldn’t do the job and pried them off. He asked me after starting to cut the first (broken) nail if I wanted to keep the length. I said yes, as much possible - but do what you gotta do. Not only did I leave with white marks all over my nails from the scraping (I buffed some of them out), he’d cut the and smashed them so much that they were even more brittle than normal, and I had to cut all the length off. I’m not sure if that’s normal, I’ve never had it happen before, but I’ve never had dip pried off before either, so maybe that’s just how it goes.So yes, I could have spoken up, but it didn’t hurt very much and I didn’t realize the extent of the damage until it was over.So if you go, ask them to use acetone to remove the dip, and always pay attention to what they need you to do when working on your nails (that should likely go without saying at any salon! I had just had a long couple of days and was zoned out)

Great service, very fast and friendly. Despite being busy the owner was able to multi task customers, calls, and questions while doing a beautiful set of design nails. Which traffic is to be expected from a high rated nail spa, nails being high volume at the time. I appreciated the professional advice when changing nail design and definitely respect the work ethic. Beautiful job, got a perfect match of what I wanted.

I went in Saturday at noon expecting a long wait however I was wrong once I arrived Ethan greeted me and sat me down to start my nails it was my first time here he was very friendly also asked if I would like something to drink, I showed him a picture that I was interested in he said okay told me that he had something more up to date if it was fine that he do it I agreed and I cannot be any happier with the way the Marbling came out I have gotten many compliments!! WORST visit today! I usually come to this place and send people who complement my nails! Today I went in to get them done I sat down he started gluing the nails I asked him “if that is as long as it goes” he tells me “ no I can do longer but oh it’s to late”??? When nothing was even started!!!! 2nd he was talking about how Hispanics were lazy and all when I’m myself is an HISPANIC!!! 3rd how was my nails 70$ when I usually pay 75$ for TWICE THIS LENGTH! Disappointed and will notBe going back!!

Honestly first time coming here everything was good great prices nice environment only thing that would help give 5 stars if they assisted you in what to do more not all of us know exactly where to sit get colors or the most they just kind of walked away I had to ask what to do Where to sit other than that it was great would definitely bring family and come back by the way walked in a hour before closing and they got me in and did not make me feel rushed 🖤

This is 100% the place to go. Not only is the customer service out of this world they also gave me exactly what I wanted and were very patient with me. I live in Odessa 2 hours away from here but they were so good that I am going to start driving up to them to get my nails done. Don’t waste your time at any other place.

Not planning to come back. Ive spent a considerable amount of money over a year and a half that Ive been here. The pedicures are inconsistent, sometimes amazing, sometimes just barely okay. The prices have gone up, and they require that you wear masks, primarily because they sell them so its a chance to make a few extra dollars on that even though they dont require that customers wear them while getting service. I wouldnt mind paying more for a pedicure, but an unexpected higher cost when the service is sometimes good and sometimes not is what bothers me. No longer spending money here.

I have been to so many nail salons but this one was the best I have ever been to. They did it exactly how I wanted. I always am wanting long crazy nails with diamonds and they never fail to make them gorgeous every time :)

Literally never write reviews, but I waited 3 hours to get my nails done and wanted a simple design and was told it was going to be a $20 design so I didnt end up getting it because it was going to be so expensive and it wasnt worth it for the design I wanted, and I STILL ended up getting up charged after I left when I just got a simple color on my nails. My roommate that also got her nails done got a design that was 2 different colors and payed the exact same price as me. Asked for a refund and they said there was nothing they can do. DO NOT GO HERE. (Also pretty sure it was the head guy that did my nails)

Worst shape I have ever gotten in my entire life. The male nail tech was not friendly and rushed doing my nail set. Do not come to this place unless you want to pay $60 for messed up nails.

Worst experience ever! Came to Lubbock for my sisters birthday and wanted to get a fill. The guy did not know any English and butchered my nails. I have burns all over my cuticles and they were miss shaped all over. Literally look like Frankenstein! Worst service ever!

This place is pitiful. I write this review after a dozen times my wife has come home from this place. In the last four years it’s just escalated in pitiful service. I wish I could give it less of a star...they don’t listen and my wife spends more time at home filing her nails into the shape that she wanted than she spent at the salon. The work done was sad, to the point that from nail to nail, they were uneven. The length from hand to hand was an even centimeter off from left to right. I called to complain and the best they could do was “we’ll look at it again” and that’s happened before and all they do is tell us that this was exactly what she asked for and make her pay the same price for a new set. This place SPECIALIZES in HIGHWAY ROBERY. This place does not deserve the business that they’re trying to run. I’ve never seen such poor work, in all my years of labor if I had done this type of work for this type of review I would have had to waive the price for my labor. Honestly the saddest thing that I have to even type out this review.

I made an appointment for 6 P.M to get dip. When I arrived I showed them what I wanted (simple different shades of pink on each nail) and they said they can’t do dip but have to do acrylic. 2 hours later (they close at 8) and I have yet to be seated and get my nails done!!! In the meantime they sat people who came after me. Very unprofessional. Never coming back again!

Update: 03/16/20I have been coming here for almost a year and theyve always done a great job. But I definitely found my nail tech! Tram( Tammy) has been doing my nails the past couple of months and I am in love. She does a great job! She makes sure I am fully happy with my nails. I am very particular when it comes to what I want. She lets me be as picky as I want and she is always happy to fix my nails if I have a problem. This time I let her do her thing. Completely trusted her and I was not wrong in that. I usually get one solid color but this time I let her creativity fly and she did AMAZING! Never disappointed!I never liked acrylics because im too critical. But i decided to come in and try it anyway. MINE fid my nails and he listened to me. He made sure i was fully satisfied. I had him cut the nail to the length he thought would look best and it was perfect. I went in just wanting nude coffin nails and I got EXACTLY what i wanted. I hate having thick acrylics on and he listened and catered to my needs. Im obsessed with my nails. I walked in not feeling the best and I walked out just feeling so happy. Great job guys! Definitely making it a normal thing to get my nails done and when my friends come im bringing them!

Super friendly and nails look good

I came in with a picture that had dark green nails. They helped me pick a number for my color that looked lighter than the picture but reassured me that it was the exact color but my picture looked darker because it was matte (matte makes it darker they said) so I added the matte add-in because I wanted it to be like the picture I brought in. We are done and turns out matte didnt make it darker. And now I am walking around hating my nails. If it couldnt be reproduced, let your customer know. I wish they would have said it and we couldve picked whole new design/color to go with. Everyone gave me great reviews about the place but I am just so disappointed that my concerns werent listened to. I will not be coming back. What I asked in the bottom vs. What was done on top

I had the two sisters from Cali so refreshing to see more people here from there its like a breath of fresh air. She did an excellent job on my pedicure so much in fact that I will coming here more often rather than going to nails 2000. Vibrant positive atmosphere, just the kind of place I was looking for.

They did an AMAZING job on my pedicure and manicure! Showed them a picture of what I wanted and made it look perfect! The lady was so sweet and took her time to make my nails look perfect! I will definitely be going back!!!!

My mother is a nail tech and she has always told me about the prices that my nails should be for what I want I go in there with what I wanted and the length I have never paid over $100 for my nails they told me my nails would be $110 the way that I wanted them and I was like ok you can take some length off, well he cuts it about halfway off which was way too short I told him to go longer my nails are thick not the right shape not the right length was definitely not worth what I paid! I have to go some where else and get them redone bec these are ridiculous.

The massage chair was amazing, and this was my first time getting my feet done ever. And it was one of the best experiences I will be coming back again.

This is very unprofessional, I was here since 5 & other people were coming in after me getting their nails done before me . I started getting my nails done at 7:40 pm their very inconsiderate!

The young gentleman that did my nails was very inexperienced. He did not make any of them match. You ended up sanding them down so they were curved. The worst manicure. I think I was more disappointed because no one even came to check his work. He was extremely rough.I would ask who before you get anything done. Extremely disappointed and I will NEVER go back.

THIS IS THE BEST NAIL SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!Now that I have your attention, Ill say it again :) This is the best Nail Salon Ive ever been to! For more reasons than one, I had a great experience! Prices were reasonable, staff was SUPER friendly and VERY communicative. I only went in for a pedicure, but I got the Jasmine Pedicure to see if it was worth the money, and it was! A nice relaxing massage with hot rocks, an exfoliating massage, collagen socks to remove dead skin, and the young woman even corrected an ingrown nail that has been bothering me for YEARS.But if you can believe it, thats not all! I am a very dedicated nail enthusiast, and I have been doing my own acrylic nails and fills for going on 3 years. Im not a certified Nail tech, but Im very aware of what the proper steps for any service entail. I have been to SO many salons that skip CRUCIAL steps, like buffing, dehydrating, priming, base coat, etc, which can cause service breakdown and return trips to the salon. Not only were the proper steps completed in the correct order, but I felt NO pain, and really felt that the Technician was paying attention to my comfort as well as the final look of my nails so that they would last as long as possible. Total I paid $100 on the dot, including tip, and this was worth every penny!Im not from Lubbock, but I can guarantee that everytime I come to visit, I will have this place favorited in case I need any services or just want to go in for a color change.Thank you DB nail salon for the great experience! My mom and I will definitely be back!

I LOVED this place. Until they did not value my appointment. I had called in prior for a 3PM appointment with Ethan. I came in at 2:50 and realized it is a bit early and he had a customer so I told him I am happy to wait until he is done. At 3:30, he told me that he was taking another customer before me when I had clearly told him that I had an appointment WITH HIM. I am livid. I had recommended this place to everyone!! Ethan does a great job don’t get me wrong, however, their professionalism and punctuality has clearly lacked by dishonoring my appointment. WILL NOT COME BACK.

I stopped coming here a few months ago and began going to diamond nails, and all I can say is it was a big mistake. I have been coming to DB since 2015, and the ONLY reason I left is because they are always so so busy! But this is one of the only salons I have EVER been to that is consistently good, clean, and nice!!! I will never go anywhere else again as long as I’m in Lubbock. I prefer Jeremy to do my nails because he always knows what I want, but every tech is great at DB.
