When we first started the monthly service, I was given a discounted rate. Recently, we went to wash our vehicle and were denied service. We checked into it and found that they did not charge my card, as they always had. This caused the service to expire, which was not our fault because the card is valid. After contacting the main office, we were advised they could renew the service but only at the higher rate. I feel like they messed up our account just so they could charge the higher rate. Not cool!

As many others have said - I bought the 30 dollar interior plus the 20 dollar exterior. There was still dust on my dash and steering wheel. All they did was vacuum the interior, didn’t wipe or clean interior, def did not armor all interior. I won’t go back. Complete waste of time and money

This place has gone down hill. I will say the nice kids that vacuumed my car are very nice and did the job. Seems more of an owner issue. No AC while you wait for your vehicle. Would be a big deal if the wait was short. I have come to this location in the past and they always had AC. Restrooms are nasty and no soap or toilet paper. Just seems run down. Probably won’t be back.

First off, let me say I used to habitually come and spend 30-50 dollars at this place, about every two weeks. This used to be my FAVORITE Place in town, but I will sadly not be returning.The last time I visited, I bought the 30 dollar interior plus the 20 dollar exterior. There was still dust on my dash and steering wheel, and as I left it did not smell as if any air freshener was sprayed.It is consistently a 2-2.5 hour wait for a basic wash and interior cleaning. The time you spend here plus the price you pay for the quality you receive is not worth it anymore. Take your money, and your business elsewhere.

Dont bother with this place. I dont know what is up with all these positive reviews, but the guy washing cars here is so lazy he cant even be bothered to actually wash cars. He just sends you through and tells you to get out of the way. Waste of money.

It used to be the best wash around. Now, I paid 30 for an interior armour all job, and 20 for the wash. There is still dust on the steering column and doors. What a rip off!

Once I left there, went to basketball games. Dusty parking lot- it showed where things where missed. But it was a different one I used. I wont go back. Ill stick with the racer body wash. Turns out fantastic from them.

I paid $20 for interior service, plus $10 for the basic wash. The wash outside the car was fine, but when they came to tell me my car was ready, I got in and nothing on the inside had been touched besides vacuuming. The dashboard was still full of dust and pet hair, cup holders still dirty, back seat had visible dog prints on the seats. I told the employee who said “I will clean it again”. After another 10 minutes, I get in my car and he had only wiped the dash board and cup holders off. I would love to attach pictures of how the inside still looked untouched besides the specific things I pointed out. I ended up going to market street and getting my own car cleaning equipment and cleaned the inside of my car myself. Waste of $20. Do not use this service.

*** racer fully refunded my wash plus some,after hearing about my bad experience, i am very happy how they handled it and I will continue to go there, everybody deserves a second chance and they did me right. I paid 140 dollars for the deluxe detail and all I got was the less than basic wash, the only thing I got out of it was a 8 dollar car wash. Interior looked great but outside you could see spots they didn’t even touch. 🤷🏻‍♂️don’t waste your time and money just wash it yourself.

This is the second time Iv come here an had to get my vehicle Re-vacuumed an it’s still not good. I’m done using this location I could do a better job at home with my home vacuum. The outside is always good an the people do well at cleaning the Windows. But a wast of money to get the inside done.

They are pretty good except a lot of their equipment is not working. So getting a deep clean interior is not possible.

2011 ford f-250. Pulled into here and talked with zach about whether my truck would 2ven fit through car wash. He took car of me, walked through the wash with my truck and then spent another 20 minutes by himself drying and doing the tire shine. Unbelievable CS, first time anyone has wiped down the back glass, including myself bc the truck is so tall. Went and got an additional $10 and dropped it off 30 minutes later. I tip for great service and I got it. Ty Racer and shout out to zach!

Im usually very pleased with this Racer Classic. Today, several pieces of the wash equipment werent functional. Im sure theyll get on top of that though.

You have priced yourself out of my budget. This is double the price for something that would not be worth double. Sorry, my opinion.

Decent on the outside but not much done on the inside. I had to ask them to clean the cup holders and after driving off noticed that they hadnt cleaned off the dust on my dash. Spent too much time there so just left. I wont be going back.

The service was good, they shut down the full service for interior cleaning😔but they have some many vacuum spots.

Never going back, I waited an hour and a half for my car to get washed and vacuumed. I’m not one to complain about waiting but the job was so bad I don’t understand what I waited for. The inside was still filthy and the windows were nasty because of the dirty rags used to clean them. The outside still had marks all over it and they didn’t even vacuumed the floor mats. I witnessed them drop rags on the ground and then continued to use them. Dumbfounded at the quality. At least the people were nice.

I went to Racer on Frankfort and 4th. I paid $36.00 for interior and exterior cleaning for Silverado. It was a very bad experience. When I got home and examined the work, I can assure you I was extremely disappointed. My door panels and my console were still filthy. Ill never make that mistake again. At least not there.

Just got back from a roadtrip with my dog so I went for a full detail. Long story short, go to another location.1)I would’ve been better off going to another location and using the free vacuums there from the start like I normally do because there was still dog hair everywhere and I had to finish up the job elsewhere. My carpet floor mats also still had easily noticeable crumbs on them, so I don’t know who vacuumed but it was very poor.2) No fragrance was added to the car, it smelled the exact same as when I dropped it off.3) The window cleaning was lazy, edges and corners were missed which makes for very noticeable differences where they missed and the parts that were done were left with streaks.

Car sat for 30 mins waiting for someone to vacuum and wipe down the inside before someone touched it. Only had 2 cars doing interiors there at the same time. Not busy at all they did however help all of the drive thru customers first. Then once everyone had cleared out, they started on mine. Fresh out of the wash it say there for 30 more minutes before someone finished it. After they skipped me and I asked what was up, kid got defensive and said there’s only 2 of us. Worst experience ever. Never going back. Don’t waste your time or money.

I always go to these guys to get my vehicles washed. We waited 20 minutes to get to the vacuuming area before someone approached us on our needs. Paid $22 for wash inside wipe down, vacuuming and outside wax while going thru tunnel for $5 extra. Well nothing was cleaned on inside and no vacuuming. I guess they need to apply to become a charity. Paying them is like going down the road and throwing your money out the window. What happened to great customer service???

I just do the exterior wash, fairly thorough for a machine wash, and the staff that dry my car after do a decent job.

Took way to long to get my car washed. I have never used this location before and this will be my last time. Most car washes that I have been to get me in and out quick with a nice wash. Not this one!!!!!

Hard to say what service they preformed. I had to point out everything missed when they told me it was done. I specifically asked the girl at check in if they would please move the car seat I had moved to the back to vacuum. I was told yes. The inside of my car looked horrible after paying for the best wash and interior clean. I literally stood outside and pointed out the MULTIPLE parts missed on my cleaning. The guy told me he wasn’t the one who cleaned it. I told him it appeared NO ONE had. I left very unhappy and was even more so when I got home and moved the car seat which had not been vacuumed under. (It WAS NOT hooked in, it was in the back of my expedition loose.)My first clue should have been the girl asking me what I expected. Now I know, if you want your car cleaned up, go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed. Probably won’t ever be back.

Went to 50th street location yesterday. Paid for a medium exterior and shine interior for a total of &45....Only a few cars in line when I got there but took them almost 2 hours. The worst part was the interior did not even get wiped down very well at all. When I left there were cars backed up almost to the road. I’m not sure how they would ever give you the service you pay for and get all the cars thru....i have used racer numerous times and it seems to me it has gotten to seeing how many cars they can get in a day with quality really going downhill. I won’t be using them anymore

I aid for the Deluxe$22 car wash, went through the car wash the person dried my Jeep. I left because he gave me the thumbs up, stop for the first time and walked around my Jeep. Tires and rims had not been cleaned and the trim was dirty. I called and spoke to Heather, she said bring it back with receipt and they would take care of it. Went back after waiting 30 mins I finally told another employee that I was told to bring my Jeep around so that you could do the rim and tires, 3 of them conferred and then said he will do your tires. The one employee went around all four tires with tire gel and said thank you see you later. I was a little upset I called back and talk to Heather and explained what happened, she said “the rims ate sprayed with chemicals and they do not have to wipe them, only the tires.” I watched them wipe everyone rims who went before me. She was rushed and sounded like she was ready to get off of the phone I said I will mot take up any more of your time. She explained she was not trying to rush me, um it really felt like it. I politely thanked her and said I will not take anymore of your time. I will not be going back, this was my first time going because everyone said great things about them.

The staff is very friendly hard workers do a very good job and if you see something they may have missed they get on it right away. Love this place

My husband took his work truck to get washed and they told him...”there is too much mud on it”Are you kidding me?? That’s why I’m taking it to a car wash....The only mud on it was by the step rails... I’ve seen vehicles go through in way worse conditions. Ridiculous!

They charge $20 to vacuum car. That’s $20 plus which car wash you choose. They have lost my business.

Exterior was good but the interior was very poorly done. They missed about half the dust on my dashboard and did a shoddy job vacuuming. I would not recommend this place.

Paid 30 dollars wash and inside dusting and vvacuum I was not happy at all, they didnt clean the door jams, because supervisor told them not to because takes too much time, but they were quick on taking my money, will not be going back .

Admittedly, I should have rated Racer Car Wash (specifically 50th street) in the past, when they were flawless. But something has definitely changed. The last TWO times Ive been there: 1. Purchased a full detail, car was run through the wash and left by curb with zero other service. They forgot. (Manager offered free interior detail for next time.) 2. Next time, purchased full detail (with wax). Returned hours later, car was not waxed. After an argument, they conceded they forgot. They said they have a no refund policy, and could not produce a manager to back up the claim. They offered to rush a wax job after 6PM to make good on the purchase. We picked up our car at 7:45 with wax smears (not even a towel buff), water spots all over glass and chrome, dirt still caked to roof and window seals. We did not even use our free interior detail from the first time. Sadly it will go to waste. Not going back.

5 minutes agoThis was the WORST car wash experience I have ever had. The staff was rude, unapproachable and wouldn’t even clearly direct me as to where I needed to go. I paid for the full service and am VERY disappointed. A complete waste of money. I’m not sure anything was actually done to the inside except a swipe with a greasy wipe across the dash and my steering wheel. They had to of spent more time lowering and moving my seat than cleaning anything.

5 stars because they have an underbody wash and I havent found that elsewhere around here.

Pulled up to the line and had no wait time at all when I spoke to a girl about vomit in my brand new car, the girl called her manager, Phillip, to ask about pricing and he comes to check it out and gives me a great deal! He was super nice and helpful and got my car in to the back immediately! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in a stinky situation as myself!

I liked the peaceful quietness....Also they were Great.....I also wanted to say that I had money in alot of places. Change that was over 10 dollars. When I left it in there and got my vehicle back it was all there that I had to give everyone that took care of a good tip.

3 stars since our ride was detailed pretty good paid around $200 for a good detail. On our way home come to find out we got jacked! We bought a jumper cable box brand new for our boat still in plastic and it was missing. A guy named Roy said he was going to take good care of our ride well... he sure did. That was missing along with a brand new leather cleaner we had in there too. That jumper box was worth $100 bucks, of course they couldn’t find.

The service and Quality of workmanship is very good for the price. However, for the second time in a row. I took my vehicle down to get detailed and was told it would take 45min to a hour to complete. 2 and a half hours later.......If the job is going to take 2 hours, then just tell me that, don’t lie to me to get my business.

Need more training. Need to rinse car off well, if not it will get scratched. They dont really care if bugs come off, it passes thru at least 3 employees and no one says anything about it. This is the reason I went to the lowest monthly plan and only cuz it looks decent and I dont have time. I can go on and on but maybe yall need someone at the end and inspecting them and hold the employees accountable until the matters get fixed. Unless this is the way you operate.

I used to come here exclusively. Now I have to pay double for vacuuming. Guess Ill be going to one where I can do it myself for free. Guess thats why its empty now.

My husband was very pleased with the detail cleaning on and in our vehicle.

The service and friendliness was good, however I had to come back THREE times because they did not complete what I paid for. There was still dirt and hair in my car. Finally after they messed up twice, I just said it was fine. There’s white stains on my back seats now. Very disappointed and will not come back here again.

We had some issues that got taken care of with out any problems, manager took care of it and fixed everything. Will be back.

Two days ago I was in Lubbock because Jordy had a vision appointment. We also needed to go to the store for groceries. I took a u turn to the store and there was a can of white paint on the road. The white paint splattered all over my 2 week old SUV. I was freaking out. I went to Racer Car Wash on Milwaukee St and they were very compassionate. He told me he could not fix it at that wash but sent me through for free to just make sure. It did not work. So he called their detail shop on 50th and they said they could help. At the detail shop they rubbed a chemical on my SUV and it helped to release the paint from my car. They then sent again through the wash and it all came off. But the best part! They did not charge me there either! He said that they just wanted to take care of my new car! Racer Car Wash has a customer for life! I will never go anywhere else in Lubbock again! There are still businesses on the South Plains who just want to take care of its customers! Thank you Racer Classic Car Wash!!

Got a flat in the wash. Simply asked for air to get to McWorters down the street but was treated like I was asking for four new tires and a spare for free. Manager insisted they sweep out the wash line daily but the workers behind him signaled that this isnt true. Dont lie, just say sorry and air it up so I can drive the few blocks away! You lost a frequent customer here!

A great spot to get your car washed. Even when they are slammed they do a great job keeping things moving. Eli did a truly excellent job detailing my vehicle, I’ll be going back and asking for him by name.

Most always get excellent cleaning. Most always get excellent hands dry. The vacuums SUCK..... in the best way possible. Employees empty the closed ones every day, sometimes more than once.
