Been going here for a couple years now but becoming more and more unimpressed recently. Sat in the pedicure chair and waited an hour just for a 20 minute rushed pedicure. Had to ask the nail tech to do things, that I’ve always had done in a pedicure. She didn’t even do a clear coat. Got sent to the drying station where I asked for a clear coat and the lady never came back. I understand everywhere is struggling with staffing right now but that doesn’t mean the quality should have to suffer. People will wait for good services. Not sure I will return again.

Love my new nails. Tracy did such a great job on my dipped nails. It was the first time I’ve had my nails done in years, and I loved it. She did exactly what I wanted.

The person who did my deluxe pedicure and manicure rushed through the entire process. She left spots of nail polish all over my toes during my pedicure, and for my manicure - which was no nail polish - she left my nails all completely different lengths and rough… She buffed them and then did absolutely nothing to smooth them back out. I found the service quality to be incredibly poor and will not return.

I’ve gone to this salon with my best friend 4 times now. The first two times were wonderful. I was so glad we had found a good salon. The third time we went my friend got dip powder. She chose an ombré that was set out to show, so therefore advertising this means you can perform the task. No. Her nails were terrible. They were cut in half with color and the artist did not even cover her whole nail with the powder. She paid 108$!!!! I asked them to fix them and they seriously asked me what was wrong with them. Any professional nail artist could LOOK and see. The last time we went I’m sure they had ill feelings towards us for asking them to fix what they made us pay an outrageous price for. My friend once again got dip powder. The artist took an hour and 45 minutes to complete her nails and she left the salon with her nails CAKED IN POWDER. Her whole hands were covered in the stuff. Unprofessional. And the lady still expected a tip. Will not be returning.

My first time here, Gina was AMAZING! The time after and this current time, both technicians shredded my cuticles with the filing drills and were very rude during the whole appointment. This past time, the technician moved the curing light while my hand was under it, and it smudged my ring and middle fingernails, and when I asked her if she could apply another clear coat to smooth them out she said “no they’re already cured, you’re done now” and sent me to the front to pay. My total was 40 something dollars and I handed over a $50 bill. The previous time, the manager was very rude to me because I had to pay with a card, as I didn’t have enough cash on me to pay and tip my technician, and apparently the credit card fee is “too much” for them to handle as a business. This time I made sure I had enough cash (the $50 bill) and the manager seemed to have a problem with me paying with that too. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I won’t be coming back, that’s for sure. I understand having an off day, it happens to everyone, but to be repeatedly rude to customers about something the business is responsible for is extremely frustrating.

I had Thuy as my nail tech and she was amazing! did exactly what I asked and offered her opinion on how to make them even prettier! I will definitely be coming back. It was a great value, too! For a full set and a small design on one finger I only paid $41.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!I’m a flight attendant and had a layover here in Louisville, KY so I decided to have a spa day and get my nails done. It’s Easter weekend so it was pretty busy and I did not have an appointment. I waited about 20 minutes before I got put in a chair which was fine. I had dip powder on my nails so I had to get them soaked. I sat and soaked my hair for about 35 which typically is a bit long but I was okay with that also. I picked a beautiful pink sparkle color. When the nail tech started on my nails she suggested a base color and said it would bring out the glitter so I was also okay with that. Once she put the glitter on top of the base coat there was not one sparkle of glitter. I mentioned that and she said it will show up once she filed the nail. After she filed the nail there was still no glitter. She then said the glitter will show once I wash my hands. The glitter never came through. When I spoke with the manager she told me there was nothing she could do and walked away from me as I was in the middle of trying to explain to her what I asked for. I called for her again and she continued to tell me she has other customers to deal with. I told her I am ALSO a paying customer and that this is not how you treat people. She walked away again. I ended up paying $38 for a horrible nail job and bad customer service! Will not be coming back!

This is the only nail salon that feels like home to me. They know my name and the quality of the nails Thuy gives is no comparison. You really get what you pay for!! Its always important like your stylist you find your person. I found mine at Cali!!

The girl never said 1 word to me. She put lotion on my hands and rubbed it in. I saw several other getting a hand massage, not me!This will be my last visit! Looking else

My girl was so sweet and did an amazing job. It was my first time getting acrylics, and she was clear with everything she did and made sure I liked everything. My only complaint is the staff at the front. They were rude to my friend and me when we walked in.

I made a week in advance an apt for a pedicure at 4pm. It is now 4:33pm and I have not been seen. They absolutely do not honer reservation times. If you have a night planned out and want to be on time, pick somewhere else.

Done everything in a hurry and very roughly.Used too much drill to remove SNS leaving nails soft, sensitive and with ridges .Incomplete toes and very untidy work by Tina

I have been incredibly disappointed everytime I have been to this nail salon. Each time I have been they have not kept appointment times and the quality of my nails were horrible. They do horrible dip nails as well. They are never cleaned up and normally don’t even stay for the full two weeks. Not to mention that with reopening post-quarantine they have not kept true to the guidelines and are not properly sanitizing or distancing customers. They did take our temperatures but that was the only precaution. I am very disappointed with their services and will not be returning.

This place is so pretty and clean that I had high expectations. Unfortunately I won’t be back. Reception was great, but my $45 gel pedicure was definitely not worth it. After 2 days the polish is cracked, not to mention that the polish job was horrible, and I went home and cleaned it up myself. It could have possibly been the nail tech and not the salon, but I will be going elsewhere after my experience.

Tina was the nail technician and she didn’t do a good job. She rushed through my service. I had a mani-pedi and she kept trying to get me to upgrade my service to a more expensive one. Then at the end she wanted me to pay in cash and I told her I didn’t have enough cash. I had my wallet in my hand and she reached over and started to look at the amount of cash in my wallet so I repeated it’s not enough and I closed my wallet and pulled out my card! Very rude! I won’t go back!!!!

My wife went to this place and they had horrible customer service. The nail tech got mad because she had to redue a few nails after there was a misunderstanding with what my wife wanted. She pushed my wifes cuticles back and made her hands bleed on purpose. They treat minorities bad here. Dont go here if you are black.

Nail tech did a decent job on my nails. (Besides the bloody cuticles) However, the guy who did my nails tried to read my palm without my consent! I do not believe in this practice and reported this to the manager! She said “don’t take it seriously, he was doing it just for Fun”. I think they should be aware that a lot of people DO NOT practice or believe in that foolishness! I came to get my nails done not to get a fake reading WITHOUT asking me! (Maybe it’s for tips)

Rude employee. Been there many times and this time was my last. I was blamed for her mistake and she was so rude she actually brought me to tears. I’m a grown woman who deserves respect just like anyone else. She was on her phone half the time she did my nails and then proceeded to tell me she needs to charge me more for what she didn’t know she wa supposed to do

Best pedicure I have ever had and I feel like I have gone to almost every nail salon in Louisville. I got the cheaper pedicure and it was still above and beyond what I have received at other places. Very friendly staff and they did an outstanding job on my full set! 10/10 would recommend and I am going to continue coming back here!

My mom’s been taking me here since I was a kid and I must say every time I go, even if it isn’t that often, I feel welcome like a part of the family. Great pedicure today!

Was a regular client but Cali has gone downhill. The nail techs are always in a rush . Prices have gone up for mediocre work. Final straw was a male tech that gave me a pedicure within 12 minutes for $45. It was sloppy and incomplete. Wont be back.

I dont know where all these rave reviews come from. Ive been here twice and wont be back. Lots of good color options which I love. BUT the first time I waited over an hour because there was a private party of some sort monopolizing the entire salon. You can tell the regulars because the nail techs know them by name. If youre not a regular youre not a priority. The second time I was quoted 10 or 15 min wait. Ive been waiting for almost 30 min and still waiting as I type this. My nails were also crooked and uneven when I first got a fill. And the lady was so rough she made several cuticles bleed. Ill be searching for a new salon soon.

My dip nails were ok. Two are very thick. They are very pushy about only wanting to accept cash. This seems a little sketchy and weird. My pedicure was wonderful and everything seemed clean.

I have been going to Cali since they first opened. There is nowhere that I have ever had my nails done that were even half as good as these nail techs. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. The only complaint would be that the techs should speak in English when in the presence of their customers and socialize more with their own client, rather than their fellow employees or another techs client. In the United States, that is considered very rude.

I got gel nails last night about 7pm. Its 3pm, and its chipping, when it normally lasts 3 weeks. I called. She was so rude. She claims to be the manager. She told me to come back tonight, but I cant due to an appointment. She told me that is my only option. So, I loudly explained (because she doesnt seems to understand that I am an hour away and cant just cancel my appointment) I cannot come and that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. She said, Oh my God! I asked if Friday is an option, so she gets loud and says to come Friday any time, says she cant talk now, and she hung up on me. I think she shouldnt have expected me to cancel my appointment with a realtor to come and get my nails fixed right this moment. I think this sgshsh not be my problem, and she should accommodate any time that I can come in. I think she should have treated me with respect.Went back Friday and they fixed the nail. They were polite. I drove an hour back there to do this. I hoped they would make up for this with a pedicure or something like that, but nothing. At least they were more kind than on the phone. If I were the manager, I would have made up it up to my client with a free service like the next nail service is free or a free pedi.. something.

I read the reviews before I came to the salon because I’m not from the area. Most people were saying that the staff was nice so that’s what I came expecting. There was one rating made that the front desk workers were rude. I blew it off because frankly, we all have our days. However, they actually were rude and seemed irritated. I had two younger girls with me and they rushed them with their manicures. One of the children was told to wash her hands while the second child didn’t get a chance to wash her hands. When I confronted the worker about it, she stated that it doesn’t matter if she washes them or not. That doesn’t make any sense, especially if the first child was able to wash her hands. I’ve been getting my nails done since I was twelve years old. I know how it works and it was blatantly obvious that they were treated differently. The way they did their jobs today was very underwhelming. Also, right before paying a standard price for manicures, like one would normally do, they charged each child for different prices. I will not come back.

The only issue I have is the price changes each time I go for the same thing 🤔. The male staff arent friendly at all, however, they do great work. The same could be said about some of the female staff.....over all not to bad of a place. 3 stars

So like other reviewers I’m not impressed with this place at all. We were greeted by ladies at the front desk who were very nice. My nail tech on the other hand was just rude. Acted like he didn’t want to be there, took a phone call in the middle of doing my nails which is super rude. He was so rough on my cuticles that my pinky bled. Not once did he ask if I was okay just proceeded to do my nails, which after he put a clear coat on my nail and cuticle it burned and was extremely painful. He messed up one of my nails by resting his hand on my nail and just polished over his mistake. He did not once speak to me, other to ask how I was paying and how much the tip was. The overall salon wasn’t impressive. There was hair all over the floor, dirt spots and looked like it needed to be mopped. On top of the employees just speaking to each other, texting, and actually talking calls in front of clients is super unprofessional and I doubt I will be back. The ratings for this salon is bogus, don’t waste your money here go somewhere we’re the client is an actual priority.

Terrible experience today. Nail tech repeatedly nicked me with her drill, then proceeded to stick her own finger nails into my broken skin around the cuticles to clean the excess polish away. Left the salon with red, swollen skin all around my nail beds & cuticles. Very concerned about possibility of infection as a result of this womans unsanitary practices . Will not return to this salon!

Very hit or miss like most reviews have stated. I’ve had great nails done here before but it was when time was taken on my nails. I work in a hospital and I rarely get my nails done. I also am trying to save money so I take it seriously when I chose to spend 84 dollars (+ tip) on a mani and pedi. My gel is on my skin around the nails so it’s starting to come up and it’s only been 1 day. My toe bled so bad from her cuticle cutting that there’s a whole section of my toenail not painted because it wouldn’t stop bleeding no matter her attempts. I’m just so disappointed because I threw all that money in the drain.edit 2021 - much more consistent. nails lasting much longer and appear to be done with better quality - idk what changed? customer service is awesome! i have recently started going back here more consistently and it’s become myregular and only spot for nails.

Tracey does a very nice manicure, and and listens to how you like it. However, a couple days later the gel started to chip. I think its because they are diluting the gel with thinner, like some other salons do... I deducted 2 stars because the salon is just lower, mediocre clean, and the owner has a tendency to be rude to staff and clients.

Dip nails peeling off before one week. Paid over 40 including having to use the atm fees (they asked I use atm in lobby, strange.). They did replace the atm fee of $2 but not the fee I accrued from my bank. Very disappointing.

This place was recommended by my co-worker. Tracy is not friendly at all. I gave her another shot since she did pretty good with my Dip. I made an appt at 4 with her. When I got there, she was with a customer. I waited in the pedi chair until she spoke in her language to the manager pointing at me probably saying who knows what. The manager asked me if someone else can do my pedi, I said sure but I’m irritated at this point because what’s the point of making an appt. The lady that did my pedi wasn’t happy doing them either. Either the front desk girls who are Americans need to let them know about appts or this place will lose customer. Tracy is just plain nasty not friendly at all. Gave her another chance but will not be going back or recommend this place to any of my friends. Not worth the attitude of this place.

Overall great...my pedicure and manicure have lasted over a week...and the service was very good. The woman was distracted some and I was not as fond of her foot tools as the smoothness was not effective.

My first time here was awful. I never had that type of nail experience.

Lady didnt know what stiletto nails were, have me short black squared nails and charged me more, smeared polish on my thumb and didnt get the sides of my nails well. acrylic was uneven at cuticle.

Technician was distracted and left for 10 minutes during the appointment. My nails are very uneven and don’t look good at all.
