I’m not one to spew negative reviews but I have to regarding Expert Nails & Spa. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience today that I need to share. As someone who’s has nails done professionally for easily a decade (and at this location since 2019), today was the first time a technician dremmeled through my nail into my skin. I do not get acrylics and the technician was aware my nails are real. My finger is still throbbing in pain and stings to the touch. I can only hope it recovers by tomorrow before work since not only am I left handed, but type almost nonstop.Please see attached photos. It spewed blood and almost caused me to vomit from the pain. Clearly Nails Expert and Spa needs to have the technician retrained and to learn how to take responsibility for his actions instead of blaming the tool, since I’ve never had an injury like this before or known anyone who has. Depending on the severity this injury leads to, I may have to see a doctor as it’s a very deep injury.Nails Expert and Spa, I expect someone to reach out regarding this injury, because it’s ridiculous and needs to be addressed. I left because the pain was immense, even though I still have leftover dip clearly on my nails because I was not going to let the technician continue after this.

The place was clean, the staff was nice. They did a beautiful job on my nails and toe nails. I will definitely be going back to them.

I go here about every 2 to 3 weeks for my nails and a pedicure. Ive been coming here since they opened! I always have a great experience! Always clean, my nails always looks good, and my feet feel and look great too! I find it best to make an appointment, because they do stay pretty busy!

I got exactly what I asked for and the nail tech was good about making sure I liked what she was doing (her name is Tracy!) and it was very clean. It was pretty busy, so you might have to wait a bit.

Have been here plenty of times and the man at the front is very rude. We made appointments for my sisters wedding party (about 5 people). When we arrived they had no seats open for us to all sit at the same time, let alone together. We would have been waiting on each other for quite some time. Great place, but don’t expect appointments to mean anything.

After the experiences Ive had searching for a great nail salon, this salon is by far the BEST Ive been to! They are so nice, professional, clean and they really are EXPERTS! After every visit Im so happy, they always go above & beyond to do my nails the way I want them. They make sure Im happy with them. They are the bomb at ombre! You can make an appointment or just walk in. I never have to wait long at all. They have plenty of staff & so far everyone that has done my nails has done such a wonderful job! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I will forever go here! This is my new nail salon home! Andy & Will are AWESOME!! Thats who does my nails everytime! They are on point & sooooo great at what they do! 💜💜💜

Sarah was amazing! She was attentive to what I liked and disliked. I purchased the Volcanic Pedicure and let me tell you it was worth it. She massaged my feet and calves for at least 10minutes on each leg. I also got acrylics put on and she did cheetah nail art on them. She took her time.i didnt feel rushed at all and my nails turned out fantastic. Highly recommend Sarah!

I have given this place more than enough chances! This last time crosses the line for me. I got a pedicure and the next morning I woke up with both of my legs covered in bumps. I called them and spoke to Tracy (owner) who stated “give it a few days it will go away.” No, it will not go away. This should have never happened. They are more worried about getting the most customers through their doors then they are in the quality of their work. They are disrespectful, rude, and dirty. I have pictures to prove the bumps on both of my legs after I received a pedicure from them.

I’ve come to this establishment on and off since they opened years ago. You’d think they’d appreciate a loyal customer. They typically do a lovely job but customer service is lacking tremendously . Especially with people of color. Super crowded. No personal space and rude owner. Not Tracy. Mostly her husband. If you have any problem whatsoever they are not happy to help. Super irritating when I don’t ask for anything but my nails to be done correctly. Will not be returning.

Men, go give your feet and hands a break. The staff here is super nice and do a great job plus they have reasonable prices.

I have been going to expert nails since they opened, today was my last time. A new employee who has clearly never done nails before worked on me, cut my cuticles up, didn’t glue my nails down, worst paint job ever. I’m highly disappointed. The new gut was sitting next to the owner and she didn’t seem to care that he was doing a horrible job. I just got home and I have already lost a nail. Awful.

Never bad service here and they also deal with me being insanely ticklish.

I have been to Expert nails 3 times for mani/pedi. I have always been been happy with their service.

The lady I had did not massage hardly at all. She pretty much just rubbed the lotion and then she put the hot wax on my feet which I paid extra for while the lotion was still on my feet so the wax didn’t do what it was supposed to. She only massaged for literally 30 seconds on my manicure. I will never come here again. I let the manager know and they didn’t do anything to make up for it. Bad customer service. I do not recommend.

Fast service. Good work, reasonable prices. The nail tech answered all my questions. It was my first time getting gel dip nails. For the gel dip and manicure it was $42. They also have a paper print out that you can take home with prices and description for each service. Love that!

Except for weekends you can make appointments. They have Sunday hours, Ill be it short. There are more than a dozen nail technicians working at any given time. Miss Kim does an awesome job. If you look closely you can see the nail growth yet the dip has no cracking or lifting and is shiny as can be!

Used to love them, they were so relaxing and able to sit and wait if needed but now (even in the midst of covid) they are way over crowded and people have to stand and wait ungodly amount of time and they are far from relaxing. Greed has taken over their business and they aren’t the quality work they used to be sadly

Best place in town for a pedicure. I try to get here once every month or two. It IS okay for men to get a pedicure, try it, youll like it. The experience is so relaxing. It is a nice way to unplug and chill in the massage chairs while getting your feet and legs massaged and rubbed down with lotion.

Very busy, popular place. Everyone nice. Did great job on my mani/ pedi! I will return!

I went there to get a full set. I showed the lady the picture I wanted and she did the total opposite. While filing my nails and using the drill to dry the nail, she was very aggressive. My nails are still bleeding & aching. Very poor customer service. Will not be going back

Ive only been here once, but I was impressed, and I do plan to return. There was an hour wait at 4pm on Friday, but it was worth it to me. The staff are very nice and professional, and the atmosphere was much more relaxing than other nail salons Ive been to. I got a full set of acrylic nails, and requested that they be made a bit thinner than usual. Kim obliged, and I think my nails turned out great. I felt respected and valued as a customer, which has not always been my experience at other salons. I think Ive finally found my regular nail salon!

Came in for a pedicure on Saturday and had to go back on Monday because my feet weren’t done right. They had a attitude and all we’re talking in their language and looking at me as if I was trying to steal from them. Poor manors.

I also get gel nails as well .I have been coming here for over a year now, I live in Elizabethtown, KY i thought I’d try a place close to home ( BIG MISTAKE)I will stick with this place and I believe in great service and the pleasant atmosphere of this Buisness as well. I highly recommend.

I love this nail salon! When I come in I am greeted right away. My nail guy is Phi and if he is not there, the owner will soak my nails until Phi comes in. Phi is amazing and is such a nice guy! They do wonderful on pedicures and take their time. I have been to a few other nail salons but since I had found this place I won’t go anywhere else. I have also brought several people with me to this place and they love it just as much. I have friends and family that will travel to get their nails and feet done here! Best place ever!

I called and asked if they take appointments, guy says yes. I asked if I can make one for 2 oclock the next day, yep. I walk in at 1:55 and stood there for 10 mins, nobody ever greeted me. Someone finally walked past and I said I had an appointment at 2 and she tells me to sign in. I notice a lady is reading off names from a different sheet than im signing so needless to say theres probably 10 plus people ahead of me. I stood there for another 30 minutes and walked out. Ive never felt so out of place at a nail salon. Whats the point of making an appointment if walk ins are gonna be ahead of you? Only reason I came here was bc I had a giftcard, when I left I went to my regular salon and had to pay out of pocket. Thats better than walking in a business and not even being acknowledged. I wont be back.

When here because the place I wanted to go was closed. Which I don’t mine. Didn’t catch the guys name but he was good, I got a pedicure and a full set. Pedicure was gentle and relaxing. Full set was good too. Pricing was pretty high tho, I’m used to maybe $55 for what I got but I ended up paying $77 and to me the work isn’t good enough for $77. It’s good but not $77 worth

Got pedicure and change of color on nails and was charged full price of a fill in . Rip off i wont go back not a very good job on pedicure what is it with these salons

Service was very good. However was dissapointed that my bridal party was not sat together.. why book an appointment for a bridal party if you cant sit together.

I’ve tried time and time again to get my nails and toes here.My nails are thick, crooked and too long. I asked for a regular pedicure with a fake toe nail which usually is $27 dollars plus $5 for the fake nail. I paid $68.00 for my nails just for acrylic with gel. I also asked the whole time for my nails to be shorter and my toes to be square and got completely the opposite. I will NOT be back.

Usually have great service here. Today not so much. Huge disappointment. Arrived, told about 20 min wait. Waited 40, asked again. Said it be another 10 to 20 min. I get your busy, but when people signed in behind you get taking back for their nails, exactly what you came in for, I wont be back. Not good business practices.

Pushed through and I paid for my daughter to get nails done all they did was paint them did not file her nail or anything.

If you here, ask for Ann. She is very good and such a kind person. The woman in spot #18 was extremely rude today and provided me with the worst experience Ive ever had. She was overtalking me when I asked for the manager. She proceeded to yell and get very loud in the shop. She definitely should not be working there because of her lack of respect for customers. It is an embarrassment to the place of employment. Because of how she treated me, I will not be returning. I was a customer for years.

I love this place! The wait is always long but just because everyone else loves it too! I have even started bringing my husband. We get the best service and always feel refreshed and relaxed when we leave. You can find us here every 3 weeks with our 2 favorite techs, Jenny and Vanny :)

Went in early August 2019, for the 1st time fell in love. Used to be a customer of the salon down the street.. This is my NEW nail salon. Had May as my nail tech Loved her. So sweet and funny what a welcomed change. They used sterilized tools. Didnt soak all my fingers in a cup. Wrapped them individually. It was nice I will definitely be back!

Really depends on who you get. The person who did my nails was constantly up and down. I asked her to trim my nails a little and she completely cut them down. I wanted square round the shape I came in with but because my nails were so short she did 3 out of 10 the correct shape. I had a friend go with me and her nails turned out great but I will not be going back.

Love this mail salon. Very clean and friendly staff! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but its because they are so good!

I was so disappointed with the nails I got here. All I wanted were a matte black gel nail with a shiny black French tip. The nail tech acted like doing that was impossible. I said it was alright and I was fine with just plain black. Instead she ended up experimenting to make it work. She gave me shiny black nails with matte black tips instead and the tips cover half of my nail AND are extremely crooked. I also asked for an oval style nail, and received a squares off nail despite asking for a rounded edge after the fact. She also made my cuticles bleed. Super disappointed.

This is the best nail salon in Louisville. The owner and his wife are very nice and they do quality work. I always walk away happy with my manicures and pedicures. The salon is new and very roomy.

I came in at about 4:30 and waited for an hour to be helped with and it never happened. two other women were taken before me who arrived several minutes after me. i am very disappointed with how i was treated here.

Just felt like another customer... had to continue to tell the nail tech to cover the whole nail with polish. File the nails better and straight. To pay a lot and walk out frustrated is just not what I expected.

I was pretty upset. That I got my nails done. I got A design and A pedicure on my toes and a design and a Gel overlay on my fingers. Everything was beautiful when I left the nail place. A week later my nail started to chip. Since I got Gel nails I figured it would lasted for 2 weeks but only a week. They were going to fix the nail that started to chip but the next day all of my nail started to chip and break . They had told me if one or two nails nail had broken they could fix it but since all of my nails started to break I would have to pay something on my nails because this is rare. I was not going to spend anymore money because I already had spun $95 there and wasnt gonna spend another penny. SO my experience wasnt a good one and I will not try this place again. On a good note their are a lot of good nail tech to choose from but I wasnt fortunate enough to get any of them.

Best place ever! I have had my nails done by several of the technitions and all of them are excellent and my nails always turn out beautiful! I highly recommend them!

Such a great experience!They happened to be VERY busy, being Derby week, but the wait wasnt bad. The whole environment was fun and comfortable. They did a fantastic job too!

Ive gone twice. The first time felt rushed and the second time the customer service was great! So I think it boils down to the day and time that you go.

First and last time going there. Im not very picky. My nails are obviously shorter on one hand. The nails are thick. Wish I could add a picture to this review. He added thinner to the polish. The nails are the awful. Gave two stars because they allowed me to sign in and they called when I was next. They have a lot of staff and get people in and out quickly.

Didnt have to wait. Young lady by the name of T gave me a French nail manicure. Great job!

Rip off. My daughter had acrylic nails for Easter. They started hurting within a week. Went to another salon. Nails were coming off. Not enough glue. Pulling away from nail bed. Had to remove and have new nails.

Only place other than a nail salon in jtown that carry my thumb nail bits. Its hard to find places that do and actually cover the whole nail other than trying to make it look like they did. Amazing customer service here, got in and out quick, and did an amazing job on my nail design.

My friend introduced me to this place and said they were very good, so I tried it out and hated it, went once service was horrible I felt unwanted as if they just wanted me to leave, and my nails fell off within a week of having them on where I usually keep them up to a month. I went back again to give them a second chance, I had a long wait and once again my person was very non talkative and I felt I was in an unwanted environment, I got them put on Monday and by Wednesday one of my nails had already fell off, never going back again, I hated it. Very rude and horrible nails.
