Zach is the best trainer ever!! We love him. We are already seeing results with our Frenchie’s behavior. And plan on bringing our other dog to him for training too!

*GROOMING* It seems like every time I go to get my pup groomed, they find more little things to add onto the price. And then, when I get my pup back, she’s still damped (looks like she just rain in the rain), doesn’t look brushed and when I ask for her paws and legs to be trimmed and clean, they can’t seem to do it. So I’m paying all of these extra fees for what??I’ve been going to this grooming location for the past 4.5 years and the customer service team has went down a lot. They’re rude, and walk and talk like they really hate their jobs. Manny is a very condescending person.This grooming location literally sucks and I will not be returning.

Petsmart is definitely better than the other large Pet** store. They are friendly and helpful with lots of selections at reasonable prices. The grooming services are more reasonably priced than anywhere else Ive found.

Friendly staff and very helpful. Seam to have most things in Stock. Plenty of parking which is why I choose this location.

Good selection of items for your pet. The location on La Cienega is huge. Bigger than most Petcos. Pricing & selection is similar to Petco. Maybe a little better, depending on specific items.

This store has some of the nicest staff! They are well stocked and the sales people are knowledgeable. Super helpful and we are always in and out quickly with exactly what we came for.

This pet store is well-managed and easily available. Employees are often courteous and polite. They sell a range of pet foods, including delicious locally organic dog food. Cat food is made up of a variety of ingredients. Strongly recommended!!

Ive been coming to this PetSmart for the past 7years. Ive been bringing my dog Charlie to get groomed since he was 8 months old and Ive never had a bad experience before. The girls I used to book with are gone so I had to pick someone new. I booked with Kim G. She was nice we discussed what I wanted. She asked if I wanted the same cut as the time before I mentioned to her I wanted a lil shorter and that was that. Only to be horrified when I went to pick up Charlie and I saw they gave him a buzz cut. She didnt say anything just handed me his leash. I was in disbelief I left because I was furious but later returned and spoke to the manager he offered a refund and a free groom service for next time. But Seriously how do you make such a big mistake and not say anything or try to give an explanation. PetSmart needs to do a better job on hiring qualified personnel who are trained to work on all types of breeds. Hopefully no one else has to go through this.

I hadnt been in this building since it was a Borders Book Store. I bought marked down books that I needed (like the autobiography of Jackie Chan, whose movies I loved). I went in to buy a soft carrier for Hermione. After searching upstairs & down, I asked for help. It turned out I had walked right past the cat carriers; they were invisible because, being flexible, they were folded up; they appeared to be flat items like skinny books. I found a pink girly one that suits Hermione, who looks girly, but is tough as a street punk. Shes a Chartreux Bleue. Fait accompli.

Went for a basic grooming for the pup. He came out nice and clean, and to my pleasant surprise, happy! Hes usually kind of a nervous Nelly, but he seemed pretty at ease there. Great service!

I like the curb-side pick up offered here for online orders. Special parking spots in the back lot near the door make for easy in + out. Love that u can buy prescription food on their website (with valid Rx) + pick it up here a day or 2 later without the shipping cost or the wait. Ill be a loyal customer for this! Store is chockful of great pet food choices too--dry, cans, freeze-dried, fresh, + frozen! All the big brands of flea treatment, toys, grooming aids, beds, fencing, training items, treats, clothing + so on. If u cant find it in the store, u can find it on their website then pick it up at the store. Grooming here too. Some training. They do it all!

Awfully rude staff. They kicked me out because I was training my dog to behave in settings with other pets around, but I guess these people don’t want you training your dog unless you’re doing it with them. Literally, my dog wasn’t being loud, wasn’t reacting to anyone or anything, wasn’t interfering with anybody else, and we were staying out of other people’s ways. We werent doing even doing anything fancy either, just walk, sit, and stay. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here unless you absolutely have to.

I came here to get my Dog Roscoe his favorite kind of food because they always have the best prices here, plus its so close to my apartment. And naturally I had to look around to see all of the cute animals ... ugh I wish I could take them all home with me LOL. But this place is great and the employees are helpful and so passionate about animals!

I should have read the reviews first!!! But unfortunately, my baby girl desperately needed a grooming, and her usual Culver City location was completely booked until the end of March, so we decided why not? WELL, as you can guess from the other reviews, it was BAD. First, the guys at the front just seemed more invested in the small poodle that was there (sorry, my babys a mutt??), and the girl who ended up grooming my dog, basically just tried to DRAG my dog into the shop. Shes an 8-lb dog, who LOVES people, but is a little shy at first, but she definitely doesnt bite or anything. I even scooped her up to give her my dog, but she decided dragging a tiny dog was the best option ‍ Then, when we finally came back, she looked like HELL. She was obviously uncomfortable, and basically tried to run out of the door, which she doesnt do, so I knew she had a horrible experience, considering at Culver, she LOVED her groomer - and the groomer loved her. Her fur wasnt trimmed (which comes in the package! - they attempt to sell you more), no nail grinding, and her comb was completely shoddy.It was just super, super obviously these groomers on La Cienega arent real dog lovers, because the animosity towards them is REAL. It just seems like theyre just there to pick up a check, and thats sad ‍ Also, her name is LEI-LA, not LEI-A ‍ Learn how to read.Heres a comparison to how she came out from Culver City, to how I got her from La Cienega, respectively:

It was important that I receive the finished ID tags quickly and I did receive the tags quickly via First Class Mail. The engraved plastic ID tags are much easier to read than metal tags that get scratched up. The colors of the tag make it easy to see a loose dog has an ID tag on their collar. My dog is an escape artist and I always keep a collar on him with a Angeles plastic ID tag

They had everything I was looking for and a lot of parking. The only bad thing is the location, it’s so difficult to get out onto la Cienega.

These are the only tags that I purchase. I have been using them for many, many years. They are durable and never need replacement.

Wouldve been higher had I not had to go back inside to inform them that they charged full price for a buy one get one 25% off. So, make sure the sale prices are reflected in your receipt if you make a purchase.

They have the best prices. The store is spotless, parking right next to store, and really well stocked.

And Banfield is just upstairs, very convenient.

Updatw 3/27: They closed the store close to 10min early and arent talking a man outside. Ive been going to the Pico location and will continue to. This location has staff that are shady AF. 8:58pm, they let the man go in after a plea. I didnt even bother to get out of the car. I dont have the energy to beg ppl to buy cat food. I was thinking well maybe there is a hostage situation. They arent working late because they turned off the lights on the man who is in there.🙄[previous]Customer service started as meh, but Ive been going back about 3 times. The manager Ive encountered in the evenings is very helpful and very good at customer care. She isnt condescending and can talk through the issue. She is well versed in the companys resourced and tools. The next visit allowed me to meet the front desk person at the banfield vet office upstairs. She was very helpful and listened to my whole prescription diet issue with my cat and helped me with the appropriate steps. If the vets are as thorough and nice as the women I met, this may be a great place to move my cats care.

I 5aje my dog there for grooming. Its not the best place in town but its reasonable.

This is a great store. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is an endless array of products and brands. Their pet hotel is excellent. Cynthia teaches training classes and is beyond compare! A miracle worker actually!

The pet hotel staff took really good care of my adult cat. I expected her to be upset and filled with anxiety after leaving her with strangers for two weeks, but she was cool, calm and stress free!

Grooming with Chris was the most pleasant experience! He has the best atttitude and was so kind to my dog. If your dog needs a cut, you can count on Chris!

An amazing pet store with so much to choose from! All the animals looked healthy and happy with clean enclosures and the staff were happy and friendly. We were looking at the ball pythons and the staff member told us that she didnt know too much about them but the staff member who is normally in the reptile section was on lunch so we were happy that she didnt lie or tell us incorrect information on the reptiles. We spent about an hour and a half here looking at the animals and all of the products. Unfortunately we were on holiday so we couldnt purchase anything! This store also has a doggy day care and it was so cute seeing all the dogs play.

Love this petsmart, downstairs dogs and adoption. Upstairs cats, birds and other random animals. Great helpful staff, extremely clean even their bathroom is clean. I had help from a lovely cashier, when I asked how to cook salmon for my cat. Upstairs they also have a pet hospital. Zero wait time and as always pets are always allowed. They also offer fresh cuts for dogs and cats in the refrigerator.

Our dog had a great time (as reported by the dog :p)

Went to get our long haired chihuahua groomed...Chris Smith, the groomer, exceeded our expectations! Our pup can be finicky and a bit jumpy for grooms but Chris was able to groom her without any problem! She came out looking great and smelling wonderful! Totally recommended getting your pup groomed at this location. Ask for Chris!

Came to this PetSmart to see an adoption event going on with a local rescue. We came on a Saturday evening and there is plenty of parking in front of the store. Not too busy and it was quiet.

Good place with loads of stuff for dogs and other pets. Staff were indicative of staff youd find in downtown LA; they do their job but who really wants to be here right? I didnt get the sense they were budding actors or actresses but they were definitely waiting for the closing bell to ring.Side note, one thing I noticed there that was quite disturbing was the pet hotel which was left entirely unattended. There was a small dog in there just barking to get attention. Felt sad for the little guy.

I love getting my quick pick supplies from here. Not always full of what I need for my 3 fish tanks but the prices are hard to beat!

Great for shopping pet supplies. Not so much for pets. Stopped in to check it the birds, rodents and cool reptiles only there were none. There were the sweetest little dogs in doggy daycare though. Very dim lit inside as well.

Last week I scheduled a Grooming at 11:30am today. I was told it would take about 2 hrs (which was longer then Ive experienced in past appointments).Upon returning at 1:30 I was told I said It could take up to 4 hrs to get her done I have a small toy poodle. That should not take 4 hours to get done, especially with an appointment scheduled a week prior.I now have to complete reschedule my day due to this failure at time management on the Groomers part.Wont be using petsmart again for grooming.

This petsmart is awful. I’d give them negative stars if I could. It was my puppies first time at day camp and I can confidently say it’s the last. We brought all required paperwork and they said one of his shots was expired which is wasn’t. They couldn’t read the paperwork and thought “vaccination done” meant expired which is clearly not the case. He’s 7 months old and the shot lasts at least a year so she couldn’t even do the math that that was impossible. I had to text the manager a picture of the paperwork again and explain to her how to read it. She then blamed us for not bringing that paper when it clearly was in the envelope. I then get a call 30 minutes later saying my puppy was ready to be picked up for the groomers when we stated we didn’t want him to be groomed. I called the manager back and she said she got caught up and couldn’t retrieve him for the groomers in time. Then upon picking my puppy up, he was no where to be found and the manager said he was being a brat and was somewhere upstairs. My puppy always gets complimented on how well he plays with others and is also enrolled in the puppy academy where they say he is the most behaved one there so I know they just locked him up. Do not come to this petsmart if you want your pet to be treated even in the slightest bit that they deserve to be treated.

This is one of the cleanest pet stores Ive ever gone to! Usually the smell can be a bit overwhelming but Pet Smart does an excellent job of keeping it fresh! Excellent selection of cat food and toys, and I was so pleased to find an on duty vet on a Sunday! This will be my go to for my cat food!

Huge store but they didnt have a wide assortment of Purina Pro Plan wet cat food. Usually they do so for me the shopping experience was a bit of a wash since they didnt have what I needed.

Great pet store I rescued my dog from this store. The best dog ever. She got some training lessons there. It was fantastic.

Our 2yr old German Shepard Tammi Terrell absolutely loves coming to day care to learn and have fun with both her pet and human friends shes made! Shes pretty exhausted when we pick her up which is perfect for us!

I absolutely love this location. Its much nicer, newer and cleaner than any other PetSmart Ive been to (and I travel for work so Ive been to a lot)!! I love that they carry Billy and Margot food now! Its a very loved uk brand that sources their meats from Australia and New Zealand, so I know it has significantly higher quality ingredients with a better palatability and higher nutrition content. 👏👏👏 Try a roll out for free!! Ask an employee about their coupons!

The service here was incredible! We couldnt find the right product and was referred to other stores in the neighborhood (what??? Awesome!)Then wound up coming back to get something similar because of how excellent the customer service was. Great job, PetSmart!

Nice size, good selection. They always seem to be pretty busy when I go there, but the employees are pleasant and helpful.

Bad grooming service

Pet Hotel here works for our old and young dog. The latter enjoys group play. Grooming is good to very good but varies. Simple baths in the grooming salon are reasonably priced so we no longer bathe them as often at home. Great parking. Food is too costly.

My favorite pet hotel...so far

We boarded our cat here for five days while we were traveling. Everyone was smooth and easy. The kitty condos look comfy and big enough for most cats. When we picked her up, they shared a detailed record of her eating and elimination while they had her, along with a few other behavioral notes. The whole thing feels very well-run and professional. Oh, and shed clearly been carefully groomed; her fur was soft and nicely brushed. Well be coming back here next time we need to board our cat.

Online order & curbside pickup was contactless & well organized. Kudos PetSmart.
