Used to volunteer here. I love the informal settings to meet the cats. The shelter has a few rooms where cats live and roam freely, including a bigger atrium. Go in, sit down, and pet a cat! (Or 10) The staff encourages the socialization, and some of the kitties love the attention. They also have dogs that need love and walks.

Wonderful place to adopt my furry 4 footed friend. Lange has the cutest kitties & they save them from kill shelters. My saved kitty saved me back.

This adoption center was recommended to me by a local vet. Their website is easy to navigate. The adoption process was simple (defined on their website). The team was responsive and helped me identify a potential match. Their foster-to-adopt program was great for me. I paid the adoption fee but was not obligated to adopt; it allowed me to see if the cat was a good match before adopting. Within a few days, I fell in love with my kitty and chose to adopt. He was fully vaccinated and neutered. I also love the resources they provide. Highly recommend!

This is an outstanding place for animals in need. They do great work finding homes for animals. If you love the four legged furrbabies like I do, you couldn’t find a more dedicated and loving group of people to turn to when it’s time to add to your pack. Keep them in mind for donations or adoptions. They truly are special. Proud to support the Lange Foundation.

Adopted beware. I am all for rescues and adoption. However, I applied three weeks ago for a little guy. I was told that they had several applications on this little dude. I was told I would be put on the waitlist as the 2nd in line if the first application didn’t work out. Here we are three weeks later. Animal is still on their website. No communication at all. As a Manager, I have never had an experience like this one. It’s sad to say I had a great home for this little guy. With love, caring, toys galore and a sweet bed. Not cool

Wonderful, mostly cat adoptions. Volunteers are fantastic, and there are enough to show you around to the rooms full of cats from seniors to kittens

This organization helps so many animals in need!! The place is clean and well-run with friendly staff and wonderful volunteers!! One of the 🐈 there adopted me years back, and Ive never looked back. Best thing ever happened to me! I will always support them and their Annual Estate Sale, where you can find some real treasures and help fund the work they do at the same time. I love Lange Foundation for everything they do for all of the many homeless pets out there.

I did not end up getting a cat from Lange Foundation but they were so wonderful to work with when I was considering one of their cats. I could tell how professional the staff was and how much they cared for the pets.

Great adoption place, super cute, motivated staff and a good selection of animals. We saw three wonderful dogs here and the person was so knowledgeable about them. She was friendly and kind, and open about what they did not know about these animals (like whether they worked well with cats). They have an amazing cat space here by the way. Free parking in front.

They really take care of rescue dogs & provide them with vaccinations, they neuter & spay them before releasing them for adoption.

Well kept location with friendly staff. Super glad to hear that most of the animals were adopted out during these trying times. Looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

I came looking to foster, but these furry babes are in no need. This is their foster home. They are very well cared for and very much loved. You can come and hang out, going room to room for 5 min or all day. Leslie was the volunteer who approached us as our matchmaker. She knows every personality and quirk of each individual and will gladly help walk you through and take your time. A few sweethearts stole my attention but their new families were picking them up later. There is a thorough application that takes about a day to process but can be done same day. I had never been before, just stopped by while getting tires at PepBoys, but I most definitely will return! I dedicated my time to the felines, but I trust that the canines and etc. are just as rewarding.

I really appreciate Lang foundation. My dog was attacked by a pit bull and Lang foundation was there for me and my dog. I am so grateful to Lang foundation and thier staff. Thank you Lang foundation and staff. I can tell you all day how good they were to me and my pet how the help save my dog hey are heaven sent. But you will not truly know till you try them. For yourself. Once again, I thank God for Lang foundation.

Tania is rude and unprofessional. She does not lead by example and does not contribute to helping the community. Im sorry for my doggy that has to be in the Lancaster shelter. I prefer making a car wash or some other type of fundraiser to assist with the cost of getting my doggy out than asking for the Lange foundation for help that have no customer service.

This is the best way to bring a pet into your family! We love the cat we got at Lange, and he selected us. Assistant manager was amazing to work with: Professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Ive gone there a few times since my friend adopted a kitty from them. Its so nice to just sit there and cuddle with the cats. I already have 4 rescue dogs and used to have a cat but once theres room for more Im going here!

The team at the Lange Foundation was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Warm, friendly and helpful. They paired me with a fantastic little guy and I could not be happier. Additionally they are a no kill shelter for rescues and do extensively thorough checks to make sure the house is a good home for the adopted animal and the pet is a great fit for you. They also paid for a visit to the vet when I thought he was possibly getting sick in the first week. And they were incredibly supportive checking in with me several times the first week and even following up weeks later just to make sure everything was going well and making sure all my questions had been answered. Fantastic! Highly recommended to anyone interested in adoption. LOVE THE LANGE FOUNDATION!

My friend brought me here because it was close to the sandwich shop we ate at :) We just walked in and entered the kitty cage and played with them for a good 30-45minutes. The staff didnt mind.Some of the kitties didnt want to be bothered and some wanted attention.note to self: dont pet their belly or theyll get mad at you.I love that this is a no-kill shelter and you can play with them. Also therapeutic :) wish I could adopt one...or two...or three #futurecatlady

I tried to volunteer there. I don’t think they are very kind or considerate. They will ask you to drive to the shelter to fill out an application in person. But then you might not hear back from them unless you initiate a response. Anyway, after driving out there and filling out their paperwork...they said they don’t need any more volunteers after all. I ended up volunteering somewhere else, but was disappointed in the way this was handled. The whole experience made me feel kind of bad, when I was just trying to help in the first place. They should accept online applications, so that it’s not that big of a deal if you never get a response from them. Making you take the time to go in there for no reason is unkind and unnecessary .

Couldnt say enough wonderful things about Joey who is 13 1/2 years old now. Lange Foundation provides so many wonderful services to animals, not just dogs and cats. Love them.

My son adopted two adorable kittens from Lange Foundation. Thank you for all the volunteers who spend their time giving attention to all the cats who live there who dont always get adopted.

They do great work, and their volunteers really care. Theyre always grateful for donations of towels, etc. See their site for requested supplies.

Its a tough decision between so many well cared for and happy cats.

The Lange Foundation treats every animal there as if it was their family member, and the warmth and happiness in the environment of the Lange Foundation can be a reason why all of their cats and dogs are so sweet and social and lovable. I adopted my best friend from the Lange Foundation and I will forever be indebted to them for giving my kitty a second chance so that she could eventually find her forever home with me :)
