Chemos was recommended by a VERY persnickety friend who uses them often for design jobs. Excellent job! The Chemos team rebuilt the seat and back support & padding for a favorite (and valuable) vintage chair. The upholstery is complicated - lots of buttoned tufting on both areas. Too much or too little padding would change the original contour. They nailed it! I did not have the chair reupholstered at this time because the fabric is very special and I havent found a match or affordable alternative. Their work makes the fabric look so much better that I wont need to have that redone. Great price, no fuss pick up and return exactly when expected, and the people that I spoke with were friendly and informed. From start to finish, it couldnt have been a better experience. Im scheduling another job now.

Love these guys. My elderly mother and I were still treated with the utmost courtesy. The repair itself was absolutely gorgeous, and exceeded my expectations.

I’ve been extremely happy that I found Chemo’s! They did a phenomenal job and they exceeded my expectations in every way. They reupholstered a few pieces that was very special to me like two sofas, one loveseat and 6 dining chairs and refinishing the wood. All the furniture was excellent craftsmanship. They pick up and drop off on time. Hardworking and professional and beautiful craftsmanship. I can’t recommend Chemo’s Upholstery highly enough! I’ll come back with other future projects.

Five Stars for Chemo’s! I was recently in LA and in need of emergency upholstery work. Chemo’s arrived in the morning to pick up the broken chair and returned it a few hours later. The delivery team was efficient and cheerful. I’m a fan!

I have used Chemos Upholstery for at least 15 projects. They have saved my sofas three times from a Lab the made Marley look like a saint, two sets of outdoor furniture, curtains, pillows, seat cushions for antique Stickley furniture, and more. They are always quick and always a fair price. One of the best in Los Angeles.

It would be a fair price IF the work wasnt mediocre AND the service wasnt terrible, dont waste your time and money.I took my 4 1950s style dining room chairs here to get reupholstered. I had a very specific type of material I was looking for and they were able to order it for me which was great. I was initially told they would be ready in 2 weeks. One week to receive the fabric order and one week to do the work. Fair enough. I drop my chairs off and pay the deposit, and call just after the 2 weeks only to find out that there was a delay receiving the fabric, and that itll be another few days. Bummer but ok, these things happen. I call just over a week later and it still isnt ready yet. Now Im getting annoyed, its been almost double the amount of time I was quoted and still no chairs and no one is communicating with me to let me know whats going on. Then they promise that the chairs will be ready in a few days. I finally call after a few days and theyre ready, I go and pick them up and the work seems to be decent and they knocked $30 off the total price for my trouble. (Which for what I was paying that isnt very much.)One month later, I notice two of the screws on the backs of one of the chairs has come loose and is stripped so Im unable to tighten it myself. I bring the chair back for repair, they say theyll fix it and can possibly deliver it to me a week later. Ok great. This is their chance to redeem themselves. I call after not hearing anything for THREE WEEKS and my chair has been fixed, but no one called me to let me know. I arrange a time to come and pick up the chair a couple days later and she gives me their business hours for that day and says just call before I come over, I say ok. I call that morning after theyre supposedly open, 3 times no answer. Finally I get a call back I say I can be there in 20 minutes she says ok. I get there right at 20 minutes and no one is there!! I call them 2x and she picks up only to say theyre our on a delivery and theyll be there in 15 minutes?! Im sorry, Im a very patient and understanding person but that is crazy!Someone who I think is the owner turned up after waiting at the door for 20 minutes. I said I was there for my chair, he went and got it and set it down right in front of me and walked away. No apology for making me wait OR for having to come back to get it fixed. I have never experienced such TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! It initially felt good to support a small family business, but theyve lost me as a customer. Sad. Dont waste your time and money.
