SoLa has great customer service and is very responsive with any repairs that are needed. Their data is extremely friendly, helpful and willing to help. SoLa al has a lot of extras for their tenants like free food drives and free activities and camps for kids. I am grateful to have SoLa in the South Central community.
Highly disappointed with the way solas rentals handle their clients maintenance order. I recently visited my mothers home they still have not fixed/replace/repair my family second bathroom shower the pressure is weak and temperature does not change from cold. Only the sink run hot water. It’s disappointing that they have allowed a family to go with out necessities for months. Treat your people better !

Its JUST SAD!! I just moved to this very dangerous, bad parking area i have been getting parking tickets every Night since i moved in almost 3 weeks ago!!!! Because they still havent told me witch parking space would be mine but could inform me parking is $50 and it doesn’t mention any parking fees in the lease i signed. Also i havent hAd any POWER in my Room since i moved in. Ive tried leaving several emails, phone calls back to back, voicemails still NOTHING
They do not answer their phones, emails or voicemails. Before we moved in, they would not update us on the application. We where not able to see the unit until we signed the contract. There where roaches when we moved in and WE had to take care of them as they did nothing about it. They do not uphold any lease contract rules. Neighbors do as they please, when you call to report, they do nothing about it. All their properties have no water on the outside of the units. No way to wash down your sidewalks, or patios. They do not install grass in yards, we have nothing but dirt. Dirt that we can not water down to tame as there is no water outside. Regret ever moving in into one of their properties.
I have been living a few blocks from SoLas offices for about 5 years now. They had remodeled the apartments right before I moved in and obviously furnished it with the cheapest stuff they could find. My venetian blinds have been falling apart for years since SoLa did a heat treatment for the bed bug infestation I still have. They have promised a few times to replace the blinds, but dont. Pretty much everytime I need something fixed they lie to me.I have been calling for two days to get maintenance to fix a massive leak under my kitchen sink. No one answers the phone. The water is warping my fake hardwood floors they installed.SoLa seems not to care about their tenants at all. Theyll pay lip service to you, and then do nothing.They are unprofessional and unresponsive.
This company put blacks in the worst buildings and location. I would be surprised if you get a call back. They are complete trash!
After reading the reviews below I was a bit skeptical, but I gave them a call anyways. From the moment I got on the phone i was honest with lady and informed her of my current situation. She still encouraged me to fill out the form which I did. I know I was annoying because I called the lady everyday getting updates and she never gave me a attitude or anything. This is my third try trying to find a apartment as I have been rejected numerous times and this place accepted me. They really work with you and I appreciate that.As far as looking at the reviews and seeing people mad about waiting for things to get fixed I know that I will be hiring my own people which I am fine with cause at least I have a place.

Absolute worst customer service. Not just the worst for a rental property manager, but the absolute worst customer service Ive received from any organization in my life, either public or private. There are a couple nice people working there, but for the most part all I get is attitude from the majority of the employees. If I could give zero or negative stars, I wouldnt hesitate. Worst experience ever.Advice to the organization: Fulfill your duty to the people you serve and take honor in your occupation. Many of us have jobs that we dont want to be in, but it is your duty as a human and citizen to serve people with honor and contribute positively to society. Sola rentals are nothing but crooks.Heaven forbid you need something fixed in your apartment...I called for weeks and never talked to to a human being. Left 30 messages..... Nothing.Please if you see a Sola Rentals property for rent.....keep walking.I moved out 6 months later.
Dear Martin,I’m very disappointed in the experience I have had with your incompetent staff at Sola Rentals. My experience has been nothing but humiliating and disappointing. This all started last year when I first gave Sola Rentals a try and applied for a studio by myself. I remember constantly having to call and get updates from your staff. Nobody reaches out after you apply and when you do they act like it’s an inconvenience for your call. Two weeks later I finally decide to walk in because I can tell the receptionist does not follow through with emailing upper management like I requested. When I come in I speak with a leasing manager Melina and ask her what is going on with my application being processed. She tells me my income is fine but something on my credit is holding me up from getting approved. I assure her it wasn’t my debt and show her it was being disputed. Her response is she doesn’t care and won’t be able to help me unless I prove it’s removed completely off my credit. Furthermore, she tells my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) if he plans on staying with me needs his own application. I explain to her the unit is only for me and he has his own place. Why is she just assuming that he will be staying with me and why was it necessary for her to comment that you guys do a criminal background check if he does apply? What I want to know is what as a CEO can you do about my situation?
Wonder what covid has in store for y’all. Take your business somewhere else if you’re looking for a unit to live in. And for us already leasing with sola, pray that they don’t evict us!

HORRIBLE. My parents have been getting constantly harassed by a tenant and I keep calling sola and they have done ABSOLUTELY nothing about it. I’m giving it one more shot and then getting lawyers involved this is insaneUPDATED REVIEWIn regards to my last review I just want to adjust it to what it currently is, thankfully sola rentals reached out and have been helping me through this process of the next door neighbors harassing my parents ! Property management has been really consistent on calling me and helping me especially Viviana from sola rentals!
Y’all need to call the Health Department on them when they don’t fix stuff and call the police for noise complaints because they have to keep record. I have called the Health Department every time I had issues and they called back and emailed and sent out an inspector.
There are like 3 SOLA apartment complexes in the street where I live and its gotten real bad. the brown apartments are specially the worst of the bunch. Just the other night I heard a couple arguing and one of them have a knive out threatening the other one. then 2 weeks ago tenants from the same brown apartments have the audacity to park in front of the driveway of my house. since i go pick up a friend from work late at night i kept honking for 20 minutes. then they finally decided to get their car out of my driveway they laughed and parked their car in the middle of the already narrow street. and its not the only ones that the tenants that live in that apartment complex park in the middle of the street having no disregard.
Every moment I spent in that apartment was a nightmare because of sola. From the moment we got our keys, which we we waited for two hours to get after signing the lease because the property manager Keith is an actual waste of life. Takes them weeks of not a month to respond and fix maintenance repairs. We had a gas leak for over a week because they had no clue how to fix it. Have a noise complaint? Dont waste your breath. They wont do a single thing about it despite it being in the lease that you cant be excessively loud or you run the risk of eviction. Trust me, the only thing youll ever get evicted for is not paying rent cuz they want their money. They also NEVER informed us to write a formal letter that we werent going to sign another lease with them and they ended up getting another months worth of rent out of us because of it. THEY ARE CON ARTISTS.
If I could rate zero stars I would. Just don’t do it all they care about is taking your money that’s it. Apartments are remodeled but cheaply made not worth it they seem to take your deductible over anything. Maintenance never responds i haven’t been able to use my kitchen sent for a month now and I have roaches they have yet to come exterminate. All there properties are in the worst area my list could go on but hey you all will get the point. I hope this review will change folks mind about renting from them just try some other rental agencies they don’t give af about there tenants. I hate it here.
Awful. When you need a place to live... you dont think you will encounter privacy issues, misconduct with the office administration. They prey on you financially no one can be trusted. Frauds.
If you plan on renting just be prepared for your rent to go up every year after your lease. Also, be prepared for the headaches you’re going to get after dealing with maintenance. Halfway jobs, takes a long time for them to respond to your maintenance requests and there’s always something wrong with the apartments. This renting agency has very poor communication skills. If you want to speak to them show up in person.

Lets see where to begin since last month I have tried calling to schedule viewings and ask questions... no one answers the phone and no one calls back. On Zillow and zumper it list 2 peoples numbers they never answer or call back. I went to the office and only 2 ladies in the front the one that called my name out seemed in too much of a hurry to be concerned with any questions I had she was very dismissive. On 8/10/19 they had advertised an open house for 626 w. 76 #7 I left work 2 hours early just to make the open house got there 10 minutes before it was over no one was there. I have money ready to go to move in but the company doesnt seem to want any new tenants if they cant answer phones, call back, or conduct open houses.
Working with Sola restored my hope in property management companies. As a case manager I deal with a lot of these types, and Sola always shows my clients dignity and works to meet their needs. I really feel like the folks at Sola (Pierina, Bibiana and others) want the best for their tenants, and that is rare.
Dont do it. Service is super bad, its been 2 days no hot water. Sola is made to take advantagetage of people that have trouble renting anywhere else.
They are very unprofessional, they tell people with section 8 that they will rent you an apartment and they rent the apartment to someone else that will pay cash. They are not honest because they should tell people the truth about their unethical way of doing business. They dont care about renting apartments to low income families, all they care is about the money. They charge more than 1000 dollars for the security deposit of an apartment. When legally they cannot charge you more than $1,000 according to the section 8 guidelines.
This property management is negligent in regards to keeping up the grounds compared to other property management that keeps property safe with fences; beautification with grass, clean yards; convient with laundry facilities; responsive with communications, answering complaints promptly and truthfullness. My car was broken into in the garage that wasn’t secured in spite of my notifications about none tenants entering the garage through an open door and thereby making are cars vulnerable to vandalism. I early on asked for a key to the lock on the garage door for all the tenants that has yet to be provided.
Completely unprofessional staff. Management was unable for open houses scheduled. They wouldnt follow up with me about my application and the staff was rude and dismissive about my urgency to move. They are accepting payments for application but not processing them. If applying is this awful I would assume management and maintenance is of bad service as well. I would not suggest hiring this company to manage your properties or provide a positive residential experience to tenants.
It’s one of the most unreliable and unresponsive agencies that I’ve ever encountered. It didn’t used to be that way which is why it took so long for me to finally write this. Maintenance shows up, says they’ll fix things, never do it, and then close out the tickets. Water from rain would run in through the window, causing mold and mold mites, damaging the furniture and wood. But no action. Because of my knowledge of property management, I know that the owner has to care in order for them to fix things. But I couldn’t represent buildings where I couldn’t care for the tenants. It’s truly a mess.
I never give 1 star but this is what they deserve. They bought out our building and I truly truly wish they never had. They NEVER answer the office phone or call back. I had a dead cat stuck in my wall for a week and a half with maggots coming out from under my bathtub before they finally came and got it...and thats only because someone else finally complained about the smell too. My oven leaks carbon monoxide when on and I only found out about this because I, myself, bombed my apartment for roaches and the gas company told me when they turned the gas on...it still hasnt been fixed. There are many other word but I will leave it at that. I have never experienced such blatant greed and unprofessionalism. Health department here I come.
Just a horrible place of Business completely unprofessional and this is coming from a 20-year-old Do yourself a favor and take out the time to really look for a place save your money because places like this that are looking to get your money because you need a quick and cheap place to live will completely rip you off Allow their maintenance to steal from your home allow their maintenance to steal from your home then try to kick you out
They are the worst property managers EVER. They do not respond to maintenance requests for at least a month. They dont cut the grass or maintain the property unless a resident tells them to. They ignore ALL noise complaints. I didnt receive a parking spot until after a year and had to constantly ask them for it. They changed the locks to the entry gates, didnt notify residents and took months to give new keys. Their apartments are renovated but in the middle of unsafe areas. Their service people come later than scheduled times but expect you to be home. The only time youll hear from them is if your rent is late. I wouldnt recommend living at their properties at all. Nice apartment, poor management.
Waiting process & no respect for clients .after 6months waiting my apartment is not ready.i have missing toilet top,rat fecies dead small&big roaches under cabinets. i had broke pipes under my place which caused a puddle. i tried calling management, tenants portal,written requests. the owners should be aware of their problems with maintenance &management. i fixed sum of these problems myself cause i just couldnt wait on them.😑 tired of waiting
Went to visit this building in 100 degree weather! I was shocked that the office building downstairs was equipped with central air but the actual units felt like a sauna!! The units are upstairs where the sun is beaming through the windows and there is absolutely no AIR CONDITIONING AT ALL!! It was so hot I jus started sweating and all I was doing was walking! Would not recommend these units to anyone!! They are completely overpriced, small, and the heat makes them unbearable to live in
I highly suggest anyone turn your attention to a different rental agency. SolaRentals, Solarentals property managers and Solarentals properties will make your life a living hell. The reviews don’t lie. Document EVERYTHING. From pictures, to emails, to phone calls, to requests. Make sure you have Public Consumers and Businesses Affairs number at hand and if you have Section 8-make sure to contact The Housing Rights. You have rights as an individual, you have rights as a human being, and you have rights as a tenant. Solarentals employees have favoritism and discriminate against their own tenants. The rental agency Solarentals and their property managers are money hungry and could care less about maintenance requests or discriminating you as an individual. BE AWARE, TURN AROUND, RUN!!!
Today I spoke when Francisco Zepeda and I am told nothing is going to be done to replace my studio monitors that were blew out as a result of construction illegally at the residence i currently staying at so I am going to post these videos showing exactly what Im going through Hector ala the site supervisor for the construction at solar rental came and picked up my studio monitors and told me they will be repaired or replaced
1st time renter and completely happy with solar rentals. They delivered.
Had a similar experience to someone who commented above, this company bought out the apartments my husband and his parents lived in for over 20+ years, and they basically kicked everyone out gave them a month to get out. They said they were gonna take the apartments down turns out they just remolded them and tripled the rent. There were 3 other families that had to move out, all these people had their whole lives in those apartaments they basically called it home. Then these guys come and kick them out. Gentrification I tell y’all.

If I can give zero stars I would they fail to come fix my ceiling I had reported they said they would fix it I kept calling and no one would respond the day came no one showed up or returned my calls the next day a big chunk of th dry wall falls on my babys face not t ok mention there were nails in the crib as well this could of ended bad and when their cleaning guy comes he left a huge mess of trash outback full of nails instead of throwing it they left it for like a month maintamve manager came showed him he said later that day or the next day they would send someone to clean it no ome came for weeks I have a 5 yr old who could of stepped on it I just wish they were on top of everything with their maintenance when we ask for it Im not going to lie some apartments are nice but the staff are rude as well so poor maintenance and poor management

We’ve had no hot water for 10 days on and off for a month. They neglect to replace the old water heater, and they keep on trying to fix it when it just needs to be replaced it looks like it’s been there for 20 years.Terrible terrible management, they don’t care about their tenants whatsoever. They just like to collect the rent but do not make sure that we have proper living conditions.
Sola rentals suck. Their rules are horrible and they make u pay for things that need to be fixed yourself. And they dont want you sitting outside of a place that you pay rent for. Not even if your drinking coffee they say. The landlord are horrible. They have some nice places but the sola rental owners suck bad. I wouldnt move into any of theyre places if i were you. I wish i would have moved sooner. You will indeed regret moving into any of there places. Trust me. Smh
I hate this place..with them its all about money..Im upset they charging me some fee they dont want to pay and then to make a payment you have to go to 711 and they charge also for the transaction I called they told me to do it online and to use my debit card is an $18 fee??I have to use my checking account and then they dont even want to do services that as a landlord you have the obligation to do..as soon as they became owners first thing they wanted to do was raise the rent and tell us basically they will not service anything without a fee..there such a rip off the apts we live in are very old and in a bad area most family here have over 18 years living here including myself and they want us to pay like we live in Santa Monica or something..they want to raise my mother rent for my 11 year old sister living here and she has lived here for over 23 years..please know this if you plan to rent from them all they care for is money my landlord sold the apts to this place and there horrible people such bad experiences. I hate calling them I have to tell my mom to deal with them and maybe is the reason there is no new neighbors they want so much money from our apts and there very old apts and need maintance.
Just signed up with them last week. Have a 10:30 am appointment today July 3rd. I havent moved in or seen any of there property yet. So for now there just ok. FYI Im a strict tenant and I go by the Rental Law.
