Large enough 1 bedroom apartment. Good community and Ballona Creek path just walking distance from the apartment. Management is quick to respond via notice and emails about any issues and closures. The living room design is little odd for me. Theres pool and gym. The gym is minimal with old equipments for strength training. Overall a safe community to live in. Rent is comparatively on the expensive side.

Beautifully kept grounds and units. Efficient management staff. Terrific location!

This is the worst managed apartment building that I have ever lived in. First of all, the maintenance crew will not help with the simplest of things such as lighting the pilot light for the gas heater. Apparently for legal purposes this is something that the gas company is responsible for. The gas company will do it for free, but there is a waiting list of 4 weeks. Meantime, we have to sleep in a freezing apartment.What the maintenance crew is allowed to do is use loud leaf blowers for cleaning. There are 4 buildings here, next to each other, sharing a parking lot. Thus, there is noise from the leaf blower that echoes around for over an hour while the cleaning is in progress. This is done several times a week.It may look like the building is new, but apparently under the skin of it, its actually quite old because on weekly basis, we have water shutoff to do pluming work. No joke - on average at least every other week there is a day when there is no water. I work from home and having no water is quite a hassle (cant flush the toilet, wash hands, etc.).By the way, I read the bad reviews of this place 12 months ago, before moving in, thinking that by the time we move it, all of the fixes will be over. So its been a year yet its rare to have a week go by without some sort of a notice of ether having no water, or having to move the car out of the parking space dew to some repairs, or something of that nature.Another problem with this apartment complex is that the parking lot is right outside of the bedroom windows. Thus, in the morning, youd hear every single car being driven out as people are leaving for work. So yes, youd be waken up much sooner in the morning that youd like.I dont think I have ever written such a negative review about any experience, but I do hope someone saves themselves the trouble by reading this one.UPDATE: I wrote this review a when I first moved into the apartment. Ever since then the management changed, the staff changed, etc. In fact, Id say that the last year of living there (I have moved since), the place has gotten quite a bit better. So I am adding a couple of extra stars.

I am moving there on Saturday, but Im writing a review specifically about the leasing office and my impression from the tour of the apartment. In the leasing office, K. Bobby Good, Janice Allen, and this Christa (I think thats her name, lol) are all amazing!Coming from apartments all run by the Irvine Company, my family was very unfamiliar with the Jones and Jones Management Protocol, but from the moment our family stepped into the leasing office, everyone made us feel comfortable and went over all the information with us, and answered any questions we had. They made us feel welcome.On our tour of the property and the apartments, the unit and amenities were all VERY well maintained. The conference room is a bit outdated and cold use some work, but other than that.. the unit we saw was clean... and the pool, gym, laundry room, etc. were IMMACULATE!I am very excited to be able to call Casa De Marina my home! :D

I have thoroughly enjoyed living here. The leasing agents are very professional, helpful and bring the community together with the thoughtful events they coordinate. They even know my dogs name and give him treat everytime we come in. Look no further this is the pace to live. Bonus points close to freeway, yet so close to the beach as well!!

Fantastic staff, friendly and prompt. Maintenance is friendly and prompt.USPS sucks when it comes to delivering mail. They leave packages out in front of the gate so things might get stolen or sent back. The apartment staff do try to save your packages and mail left out when possible.Uber eats drivers get confused, for some reason it directs the gps to a house on a street behind the apartment.Gym is clean and functioning.Laundry machines wte too often broken, but get fixed quickly.Sauna, pool and hot tub.Sauna is relatively clean but heats slow.Hot tub isnt hot but usually clean and fixed usually. Ive never seen the pool in bad condition but its partly shaded.
