We have lived here for almost a year and it has been a very good experience. The Maintenance staff are very efficient and the place is well looked after. Whenever there was anything to be fixed it was taken care of quickly and well. Diana and Jenny in the office are just wonderful. They do a super job, managing the complex and respond very soon to anything we need and are always very pleasant and friendly no matter what the situation. Knowing that they are there makes us comfortable.
This is the best place I could possibly live, they have a theater room and you can just hang in there while they are open and they give u snacks and drinks. The people who work here are sooo friendly and polite. They make everyone feel welcomed. Best apartments hands down!!!
After Months of looking at places to live to call home for my son and I, we choose Lakes at Lewisville. Jenny and Diana made the process so easy (which we all know that moving is never easy). This is our first place on our own and I couldnt be any happier to be part of this community. Thank yall so much for your help and kindness during this process.
These apartments are beautiful and are reasonably priced. My roommates and I wouldve stayed here if the location was closer to our jobs. Jenny was incredibly kind, helpful, and willing to go out of her way to work with us which we really appreciated! If we decide to move in the area, well definitely be looking at Lakes At Lewisville! :)
My family and I have lived here for years. We love it here! Diana and Jenny are great and take good care of us when we call the office or need anything! The maintenance crew is also courteous and on top of maintenance requests. There is a great sense of community here and we love calling it our home!
Great place to live! Staff is very attentive. Maintenance guy Michael is also nice and helpful especially during the rough winter storm issues. Its good to live somewhere where the staff really cares.
The best apartments I have ever lived in, the customer service is excellent, the manager Diana and her assistant Jenny are very helpful and the apartments are very quiet and beautiful, I love living here
Diana was very helpful and made my move much easier. Nice pool and fitness room too.
We have lived in these apartments for almost 4 years. Amazing. The office is super attentive and helpful . Property is always clean. Never had any issues at all
I like how big the dog park is. It was pretty quiet, jenny in the office was always helping me out when i had work orders
This was the worse move out experience that I have ever encountered. The charges were ridicoulous and were not in line with industry standards. I would not suggest anyone to choose this apartment complex. The management is unprofessional as I had to call and ask for an apology for the rude statement my child encountered during an office visit on the property. I communicated in several instances to inquire about the move and the associated charges to avoid any miscommunication prior to the move. I was quoted a minimal cost. Yet, the final bill far exceeded the initial quote.
Diana and Jenny are awesome. This complex just updated its lighting and now looks well lit and maintained even at night.Michael the head maintenance is a great asset for Lakes of Lewisville and I believe he does a great job. This places strives to care for its tenants.
Jenny and Diana are very nice, courteous, and very helpful. If your looking for a nice quiet apartment this is a place for you, also great for nature walks. Walking distance to the lake, golf course, bike trail and much more. We live there over 3 years.
Jenny is so sweet and helpful.
My roommate and I moved in less than a month ago and we absolutely love it. Diana and Jenny have been such a big help and were compassionate, accommodating, and understanding when we were having issues with our old complex that made moving more difficult. Any issues that we found in the unit were fixed in a very timely manner and all of the maintenance workers we have met so far have been very very nice. There are very little regulations when it comes to decorating your patio which we appreciate because our old complex had so many, but here we were able to make our patio somewhere we really enjoy spending time. It is a very small and quiet community and is very close to highland village so there is a lot to do! The gates work flawlessly and there are dumpsters conveniently placed around the complex which we appreciate because those were lot luxuries we did not have at our old complex. We have not been able to use the gym or pool because of COVID but I’m sure those are great as well. I am so glad we were able to get into this complex!!!!
So helpful, good customer services. Provides so much information!
The staff is very attentive and helpful!
I have lived at Lakes at Lewisville for about a year and it has been a great experience! Maintenance has been quick to fix any problems I have had. The ladies in the office, especially Diana, have gone above and beyond to help me with concerns and make me feel welcome! I’m grateful to live here 😊
Great place to live if you want to enjoy near the lake. The office staff are friendly.
Love my place! Maintenance comes as soon as you ask. They constantly keep you updated on situations and information about the property. The best
The apartments have a great location so the price for the apt was reasonable. The staff here is very helpful and courteous. They will try to help any way they can! I could see myself living here again
I write this as I wrap up my two years living here. The only reason that Im moving out is because Im moving out of state. I loved it here so much and I have to say it has probably the quietest apartment Ive ever lived in. If you can get a view of the golf course do it! The staff has been great from maintenance, to Diana and Ashlee in the office. Ive always been treated with respect and theyve been very good with my dog. My dog always gets some pets in when in the office. Also, the complex is well taken care of and usually when I submit a work request they are out there that day. If you are looking for a place Id take a serious look at Lakes at Lewisville. Thanks for enjoyable living experience! - was updated as issue has since been resolved satisfactorily. Thanks
I dont hate the place theyre trying to hack my phone still to the closed captioning
Lakes at Lewisville deserves 5 stars because these ladies in the office are amazing Diana and Ashley will move mountains to get things done. My family and I lived here previously and we honestly loved the community but we moved to try to save and downsize elsewhere ( never again will I sacrifice space and money again)we were in a tough spot we moved to another apartment complex and was given a infested apartment (which I was unaware until after the fact of moving in) and when I was let out of my lease by that complex I called lakes at Lewisville and they immediately started working on my application and getting me in the system. I am so appreciative of these ladies because my family and I were almost homeless and they did everything in their power to get us in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. These ladies are amazing amazing and so professional as always. They have always made the process a breeze and so easy and the units are so nice and quiet . If anyone is ever looking for an amazing complex this is the place to be. You won’t be disappointed!
Quiet clean and friendly complex
Diana and Jenny are nice
Jenny made everything so easy and painless. I looked at a unit and within 3 days I was approved and had a move in date. Very quiet place too. I love it!
This is an awesome place to live. The residents are friendly and the office staff very helpful. I really enjoy living here.
Recently moved from out-of-state and was having a challenging time finding the right staff to help accommodate my transition. Lakes at Lewisville Staff (starting with Manager Diana) offered excellent customer service throughout the process. The staff was friendly, transparent, and resourceful! Once they helped me successfully move in, they even had maintenance give me a courtesy visit to make sure I had no concerns. Love my new home, respectful neighbors, and clean environment. I would recommend this experience and apartment accommodation to anyone looking for a new home in TX!
Front desk ladies are so nice and helpful. Ashley in particular has helped me with several things and always solves the issue! Apartmentis always clean and its in easy walking distance to the lake. I Love this place!
Recently moved in we love our new apartment. Plenty of updated features and the community is clean and quiet. Ashlee in the office has helped us during the whole move in process and she is wonderful.
Ashlee is awesome. She has been a great help to me and other residents here at the Lakes at Lewisville. The office staff has been doing a great job on their resident events, which is always a nice thing to have at a apartment community.*updateThe team has been doing great and taking care of the property well
Lakes at Lewisville is such a gorgeous aparment community! After touring all of the amenities and apartment with Diana, we just had to lease here! She made the process so easy and was there to answer EVERY question I had. Thanks again! We cant wait to move in!!
Lived here for years and It’s like dating a 8. Apartment staff is professional and attentive, whether you live there yet or not. They aren’t rude, and they don’t creep you out like other apartment staff’s can. Maintenance the few times i have needed it were crazy fast and did a great job with any issues i hada perfect 5/7
The pros: Amenities include a gym, pool, playground for kids, and limited access to movie room, computer area, etc. (only open during office hours). Office staff is friendly and tries to be as helpful as possible. Units are spacious and well-maintained. Landscaping is maintained and overall the complex is lovely. The cons: Although you can pay online, the previous poster who said the amount due is never updated is correct. I use the statement mailed to me at the end of the previous month to determine how much is due, as it fluctuates due to utility billing. That didnt work so well this month, as my December statement didnt get to me until after the 4th, but I estimated and paid that amount. I havent experienced the problems with other tenants described in previous reviews, but I know it can get loud if you live near the pool, as those units are directly over it. The pool was closed a lot over the summer, but it was understandable since they were working on it. Parking can get tight in some areas of the complex, but if you have a garage, that eliminates that problem.Overall review: I recommend the complex. Choose wisely when you pick a unit (avoid the poolside ones), and you should be fine.
Ive lived here for three years, going on my fourth. Ive had three different units. The management team is AWESOME. Theyre always ready and willing to help me out whenever I have an issue, which isnt often. Maintenance requests are answered either in the same day or the day after. No place is perfect, but if youre willing to be friendly about your concerns and get to know the staff a little bit, they get you taken care of the right way.
The apartments are very quiet and I feel very safe. Any issues Ive had have been addressed right away. Staff is helpful to any needs you have. I like that its not a huge complex, makes it feel more like a community.
I have lived at this complex for several years now and I have to say Ashley in the front office has always been very helpful. Anytime I call with a maintenance request she gets it taken care of immediately. Ashley truly makes living here a pleasure.
I Love this place and its quiet and the staff are Awesome 👍👍🤗
I really love it here. The staff is wonderful, Ashlee helps me with anything I need when I stop in. The maintenance is very prompt, even without an emergency. All the apartments are being updated to a gorgeous, modern look. The dog park is a great bonus for puppy parents!
Weve got a pretty nice apartment. We had a bit of a bug problem, but they made sure to get it taken care of. In fact, staff and management has been very diligent in quickly helping us with any maintenance or pest control issue weve had. We like it here. Not a quiet place, though. Plenty of knuckleheads around.
I moved in six months ago and love it here. There are new owners and management and they have worked so hard to totally remodel and freshen up everything. They totally redid my entire unit before I moved in with fresh paint, stainless appliances, plank flooring, upgraded cabinets and fixtures. It looks like a brand new place.Another thing i loved was the over sized patio. It is like having another room to enjoy.
I normally dont post reviews on apartments, but this place is just great. From the very first time I interacted with the staff everyone was very friendly, helpful, and made the moving process as stress free as possible. They were very understanding and were very accommodating along the way. They are very pet friendly and even have a great dog park on site. Im assuming the bad reviews on here were regarding whatever management was here in the past, because this team is one of the most professional I have encountered over the many years of apartment living. Thank you Lakes at Lewisville team for being so awesome!
The staff in and out of the office are always great to deal with! The apartments are nice and well kept!
Living at lakes of lewisville apartments has been an enjoyable experience and I would mainly contribute that to Ashley in the front office! Anytime I have a problem or request she gets it taken care of. Thanks for being so awesome, Ashley!
The office staff has been very helpful and generous with me. The location is pretty awesome being so close to the lake and golf course. The units are well maintained. Any time weve had any issues things were fixed very quickly. Yes, parking fills up pretty fast but that is the nature of any complex that has been around a while. I would stick around here if I werent moving to Denton and would suggest it to others.
I have lived here for 4years now The community is very clean and quiet and the new management team is great they always listen and very helpful and kind to me I have never had any problems living here highly recommend !!
When I first moved in I enjoyed living here. Recently, my experience has changed and has caused me to not renew my lease. As everyone else is saying, Ashlee is a joy to have in the office. Outside of her, the other staff is not very concerned about the residents or property. My air conditioning blew out almost two weeks ago and has yet to be fixed. It took me putting in three urgent request for anyone to come. I was home when a maintenance guy came, looked at the thermostat, and told me he would be back. He never returned and I had to call the office and complain. Two days later the air was working and I thought it was fixed until the next day it stopped again. When I went to the office I was told that they ordered a part and they put a portable air conditioning unit in my house. It only cools one room and the doors have to remain closed in that room. When I asked when it would be fixed, I was told to just continue to wait. Tomorrow will be two weeks with a broken AC unit in this Texas summer heat. I also put in my notice to not renew.
Nice place to live. Nice neighbors. I do wish they would use doggie DNA to fine the losers who dont pick up after their dogs. Its like a minefield of poo! I dont dare take my 91 year old mother walking on the grass to work on her balance. But still, its a nice place to live. Formerly called McKamy Lake Apartments.
I have been living here at Lakes of Lewisville for almost two years. Im kind of suprised at some of these comments. They have done lots of improvement on the property like adding a playground, adding really nice propane grills for us to use at anytime, the pool is open year round and is only closed all day mondays for needed pool treatments as it was really used over the weekends, added gate security cameras for the residents who love to go out the wrong way when your trying to get in 😡😡, and they added new gym equipment. This place is a great place. For the person who has a $400.00 electric well thats because we have 2 a/c units in 3 bedroom apartments. Thats why its high you have to be aware of how cold you put the a/c. My bill has never been higher than $190.00 but again Im always aware of how low I keep it. As for patios needing to stay clean I dont think there is any wrong in having pride of what your property looks like. I know that I lived in apartments for sometime now and have visited tons and I wonder why anyone would put a sofa on a patio, tires, foil on a Window, or a kitchen table bottom line its tacky and looks bad. Needless to say I NEVER rented at a place that I saw any of that. So Im glad they dont allow it. Bottom line this place is GREAT I will continue to live here until I buy a house 😉😁🏡
This is a horrible place to live! Every since Vesta management came in the place has gone to a new low! The staff is disrespectful and unconcerned about the people that live there. If you have an issue and try to talk to them about it they are rude to you! When me and my roommate moved in, the place was not cleaned like it should have been (about 5-6 thumb tack where in the floor and the carpet was still dirty looking). I called the next day and was told someone would call me back, they never did. Then the A/c went out and was not fixed for 2 weeks! It was in the middle of summer! It was 95 degrees in the apt and the would not fix it! I had to constantly call and go up there for them to do anything about it! They also, tried to say we didnt pay rent a few time, which we did. When I went up to the office they said they lost my check and the computer was down. It was not down because I saw someone using it. Then we get an eviction notice giving us 3 days to move out because they LOST my check! I had to stay on them about that as well. They are full of false promises and will try to threaten you with charging you more for their mistakes! If you move out they will refuse to send you pictures of what they are charging you for, which legally they have to send you them and hang up on you when you call to ask for them. There is so much more I could write! This place doesnt even deserve 1 star! The staff is horrible! I am so glad I moved to somewhere better!!
I lived there a little over 2 years the first two leases were okay, but the beginning of my third lease, the new management came in. They moved me into a 2 bedroom and 2 bath that didnt have working air conditioning. My sister and I, didnt have working A/C for 2 full weeks. The temperature inside of the apartment got up to mid 90s. They would temporally fix it for two days and then it would stop working again. Fought with them two months about getting a new unit or actually fixing the one that we had. When we moved in the apartment, it wasnt cleaned, the carpet looked awful. and I had stepped on three carpet tacks that were hidden in the carpet facing up towards the ceiling. I was not happy. Before we moved out we cleaned the entire apartment spotless ( besides the carpet because it was already ruined when we first moved in), took pictures and videos of the apartment. and they tried to charge us up to $300 worth of damages. They are choosing to ignore the Deposit I.Q. that I set up with them that covers $750 worth of damage and fees.If you move in, I hope you get lucky and have nothing wrong with your apartment, because they will screw you around. Im talking about the current management also. There are much better apartment complexes south of Lakes of Lewisville.
Ever since the new management company its been hell. I was without a stove for 10 days and was told by maintenance they would have brought it sooner but I lived on the second floor.. SERIOUSLY?! In a nutshell, you can polish a turd but its still a turd. The new people moving in are smoking pot I between the buildings and locking the laundry room to smoke in there. This place is not what it used to be. They also dont return your phone calls in a timely matter, portal to pay rent is out of date! Ugh I cant wait to move out already!
Where to start?!?? I have lived here for over 3yrs and it was great until about a yr ago when Vesta property took over and now its horrible!! When they 1st got here I had an issue with my $400 electric bill and asked to please help me figure out if it could be my air conditioner well they always had an excuse and would not ever come fix it, once again this summer came and same thing my bill skyrocketed to the $400s for a 3 bedroom (I thought that was ridiculous) so I called vesta main office well that got me no where but kicked out. After about 3 weeks when I called and complained I had my 60 day lease renewal and they told me they chose to not allow me to renew my lease, I didnt even know they could do that. I asked please let me stay 6 more months cause I was in no position to make a move they told me they could not do that. So I am now being kicked out of my home! I have lived here 3 yrs, paid my rent, kept to our home clean and never caused any problems with anyone so being a good tenant got me thrown out.Beware they dont answer the phone they dont care about residents they will fee you for everything!! The pool is always nasty dirty with ppl drinking and smoking in the pool around the kids. I guess we are lucky to be getting out of here just sucks when its not expected. You dont want to live on any vesta property they just dont care about the residents!!
I only lived at McKamy Lake Apartments for a short time, but the apartments are beautiful--immaculate on move-in day. The property is beautifully maintained and the property managers are wonderful. There were no noise or pest issues in my building and the neighbors were quiet and friendly. I had family health issues that necessitated my moving back to NYC. Had that not occurred, I would have stayed there for years to come. I unfortunately had to break my lease and the property managers were incredibly accommodating. I couldnt have asked for a better experience moving/living in the DFW area. Should I find myself in TX again, I would hope to live there again.
Looked at an apartment here. Quiet, clean, safe, good location near the lake and near I-35.
A new management company took over first of 2015. There has been an issue with trash, dog poop not being picked up, trash isnt getting picked up like it should for the $17 fee you pay each month, trashy people are being let to move in, they closed the pool several times during the summer for NO reason and sometimes kept it closed on a Sunday, people that that they are letting live there are stealing items, breaking in to cars and trying to get into peoples apartments, they are standing in breezeways that arent theirs smoking weed, they are re-vamping every apartment but trust me they look like they paid someone $100 a unit (paint job through out the units are horrible and look cheap as he**), management doesnt get back to you in a timely manner, maintenance request take at least a week to complete (unless you complain over and over again), parking is horrible, couches & furniture have been left by dumpsters for weeks without being picked up, on site security is a joke, their rent portal isnt updated as it should be (you cant get your total rent on there for the first of the month-so you never know how much you owe and get late payment notices on your door, lighting is not good on the sides of the buildings and most lights have been out for the almost 2 years Ive been there, not a safe area and you can hear a lot going on outside especially if you live right by the golf course. Needless to say, Im MOVING and probably breaking my lease. Its getting really bad and I fear for my safety and the apartments say its between me and the police, they are out of it.
This place was okay when we first moved in. Then, last year new management was brought in and since then the place has gone downhill. Office staff never answers the phone, and they usually leave before the closing hour posted on the door. Since the new management came in, theyve lost our money orders for rent twice and threatened to throw us out, but later found them. Good luck trying to find parking close to your apartment if you come home after 7 pm. I usually have to park on the other side of the complex. When its warm out we have a horrible wasp problem that hasnt been taken care of (Ive mentioned it to them several times) so we cant even use our balcony. Thankfully, our lease is almost up and well be moving. Id advise people to stay away unless this is your last resort.
Leasing lady was fighting with some 18 year old girl and cops were involved, she obviously got fired, but they better make sure their staff is not crazy.
This apartment complex used to be great. Now its turning into an EXPENSIVE PRISON. The old managment was great...now its all abt them and NOT the Residents. Fines, complain abt anything on patio. My kid wasnt allowed to play with his toys on patio. Way way to expensive. Living room is horrible. No where for tv. Gate always broken. Maintenance request take forever. No good.
Editing my previous review of 1 star..So long story short, Ive been having issues with living on the ground floor. The sub floor for the guy living above me constantly creaked and made a ton of noise. What compounded the issue was that it was the maintenace guy who lives above me. Hes frequently on call throughout the night so I was living in perpetual hell trying to get any sleep. I am not a guy who complains often but I was being pushed to my edge..Thankfully, the management is on point. They followed procedure asking a contractor to come out and check the subfloor. There was nothing structurally wrong other than the noise, so there was nothing he could do. Despite this, I was told I could move to another apartment free of charge. Not only that, but they gave me the rest of the month free in terms of rent, just to move. Then on top of that, they didnt extend my lease for the new apartment. Even throughout the process when i was getting heated over the constant issue, they never treated me with disrespect or apathy. Really blown away by the way they handled the situation. I highly reccomend this place.Browising through the other reviews, Ive never had any of their issues. My trash is picked up when it should be and as long as youre not looking for parking past 11 or so, youll be fine. The complaining about the pool being closed is kind of ridiculous..They closed it for renovations...You know..to make it nicer for the community. Im pretty sure it will be finished in time for summer.Anyways, just wanted to leave this here in case anyone is on the fence.
Amazing place to live
Thanks Diana for welcoming me and making the move in process easy and less stressful as possible thanks again !!!
