I have used The Mechanic several times and followed them to new location where they are just getting settled into. My Jeep & Vette have both been put back in working order.I like Ryan and James straight forward communication. The repairs Ive had done have resulted in several day before getting car back but its fixed when you get it back!!!

I took my car to to them for a diagnosis on the brakes. After it took them about 2 weeks, they said nothing was wrong with it. I took it over to Brake Check and in 2 days it was fixed. I showed the documentation to them that Brake Check had provided me with. They still refused to refund my money. While talking to Ryan on the phone he continually made false accusations at me, cursed me, and hung up the phone on me. I would like to warn customers about their ways.

Ryan and the team at the mechanic has probably earned a customer for life. They did an excellent job on my daily driver and my belt doesnt squeak and the ignition feels like brand new. While no one wants to have to take their car in for service Ryan and his team made it easy. I dont have to dread finding someone reliable fast and knowledge to fix my vehicle.

I had my radiator fan replaced and before that could be completed I got a call from them and wouldnt you know it. They found something else. I was told that there was a hole in my radiator that was most likely caused by the fan. I dont believe it because the was no leaks or loss of fluid up until that point. This more than doubled what my original ticket price was but what could I do then? Also, I called back about a week later to get a quote on a different repair and I was told someone would call me back. It didnt happen. I guess they have enough business. Please be careful. Its hard to find honest mechanics these days.

Honest, polite, straightforward, efficient.I discovered the rear differential on my 2016 4Runner was leaking. Id been out in San Angelo wheeling four days earlier, and became worried Id damaged it. Called The Mechanic, they took it that afternoon (it was already late by the time I could get it to them). By early morning they called as promised, and lucky for me no significant damage just knocked the service plug loose enough to lose some fluid. Caught in time. I was able to pick it up that afternoon, and expense was minimal. No up selling or anything of that nature. 10/10 would recommend, no doubt Ill be back

This business is a total rip off. Not only do they not have any idea what they are doing with European engines, but worst off they will lie to you and leave you hanging. Whatever you do stay as far away from this shop as you can. There are way too many reputable shops out there to take a chance on this one. You have been warned.

I Saved At Least $900 (maybe $1,800) By Calling “The Mechanic” on Crystal Falls.My brakes were shot, front and back. I took my car to Lamb’s on Lakeline. They told me I that I needed front and back brake jobs, an alignment and new front suspension. To lessen the blow, they said they could start by just doing the front and back brakes for $1,900 and then get to the other problems later.I was a bit apprehensive, to say the least, so I decided to call up another shop that had good reviews on nextdoor.com, The Mechanic on Crystal Falls. Boy am I glad I did! I told James everything that Lamb’s wanted to do, he put it into his computer and came back with a quote of $1000! He told me this was a worst case scenario and the actual price light be lower. I cancelled the work at Lamb’s, took it to The Mechanic and they looked it over. They confirmed the repair recommendations from Lamb’s and also found something that the mechanics at Lamb’s missed. The ball joints were cracked and needed replacement.For some reason I just had a good vibe from theses guys. They were friendly in a sincere way, not the fakeness when somebody is trying to sell you something you don’t need. They quoted me $2000 to do ALL the work Lamb’s recommended (not just the brakes, which were only half of the total repair). I left it with them for a day and a half to complete the monumental amount of labor required. When I went in to pick it up, guess what? The cost was $100 dollars LESS than they quoted me, a total of $1,900 to do ALL of the repairs, the brakes AND the suspension, ball joints and alignment. So, I saved $900 on the brakes alone. Who knows how much I saved on the rest of the work? Another $900 maybe?Aside from the saving (potentially $1800) I just felt good with these guys and am so glad I found a local garage that I really trust.Thank you to everybody at “The Mechanic”. Highly recommended.

They fixed the one cylinder misfiring problem.

Great mechanics. The owner, Ryan, really cares that your car will be safe on the road. He was able to spot most my car issues within 10 minutes of putting it on the lift. I am pretty impressed with this shop and wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

The best of the best! Wont cheap shot you and excellent customer service. I had many problems with my SUV and he fixed every one of them at a reasonable price. I trust Ryan to the fullest and do not feel comfortable going anywhere else.

Over a year ago, I found a mechanic conveniently located near my home, but I was cautious and not overly optimistic about visiting a guy with lug nuts big enough to call himself The Mechanic. Let me tell you, Ryan has proved time and time again that the name is well-earned. Its not only that he knows what hes doing, but that hes honest and committed to keeping his word (even when the toughest job proves costly). I have seen the shop grow from one person to three, and they have all kept me coming back for more. All my cars, my wifes car, and moms car call this place home.

Hard to find an honest mechanic in this town. Very Fair pricing. I had some engine work and my brakes fixed this time and they were cheaper than the cookie cutter places with horrible mechanics that learned from a coloring book. Very good mechanic with a very professional staff.
