Repairs A-OK on both of our Hondas. The battery terminal fix on wifes car was a new solution Ive never seen before. Those are fixed for good. Recommend them

Dan is as honest as you will find for a repair shop.I took my Truck to another repair shop off 620 that I will remain namelss.Q****Tech. They quoted me 1800.00 for a coolant leak and told me it was 4-5 different things etc etc. took it to D&K for a second opinion and turns out it was just one of those things, the rest was fluff add ons to rip me off. If you want an honest Job and assessment go to D&K.

Dan couldn’t have been more accommodating, putting no pressure on anything but fixing the matter at hand. He was able to squeeze me in, repair, and saved me a good amount vs the other estimates in the area. Needless to say, when I was in there picking up my car, the phone was ringing off the hook, now I know why!

Danny is wonderful in routine care of my two cars. What I like best about this shop is that they are honest and forthright. My cars are foreign and complex. After significant effort to locate and solve my problem, Dan advised me that the cost of repair would be more than the value of the car and he did not charge me for the diagnostic work even though it took several hours of his time. I cant thank and recommend D&K enough. It difficult to find honest and good quality work mechanics. Long story shortened: Needed a transmission replaced, I received a quote, agreed and was like good deal. I bought the transmission, it was delivered but was the wrong size - they sent it back. Second time I ordered - transmission was delivered but was for a different vehicle - sent it back. By this time my vehicle was parted out. Third time - It took about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks for the correct transmission to be delivered. Car was there for two months. Not once did they complain! AND they replaced the transmission within one day of receiving it. I am sure they do not want to see me come for awhile after that fiasco but I refuse to anywhere else!

I have been a long time customer and I have a 2017 Ford 150 Lariat that I bought about 6 months ago and then I got an alert to Check Charging System. I also thought I had a small oil leak. I brought it to D & K Auto and they not only confirmed the oil leak but also said the oil was all over the alternator and was making it malfunction. Needless to say, these repairs would have exceeded $2000. They called me and recommended that I take my truck to Ford first to see if it was covered by the Power Train Warranty. The good news is that it was covered. The best news was the integrity and advice of D & K to take it to the dealer. They lost out on money because they were looking out for me first. You’re in good hands at D & K Auto.

Check engine light was on. Replaced the Air Mass Sensor and runs like a top now.

I was visiting a friend in the area last week and my van started making a concerning sound. D&K was recommended by my friends father in law. I called and they got me in immediately. The owner looked it over and test drove it twice. Everything was fine so he sent me on my way but first let me know he would be for sure praying for my safe drive home. He was professional and personable. D&K was a God send for us and we highly recommend them. We are a little sad we live too far to use their services. You would be missing out to use anyone else for your auto mechanic needs.

I needed a midpipe fabricated for my truck and they did a good job with decent turn around time. The owner seemed friendly and was knowledgeable. They even tightened up a couple lug nuts I missed. I plan to use them again in the future.

Came in with an exhaust leak after driving over a sketchy bridge and was told to drop it off that night. The next day by 1pm i had my truck back at a price that was hundreds under what i was expecting. Great service and a great crew of guys. No question this is where you need to take your vehicle.

Dan did an excellent job on my vehicle. Hes an honest man, and he wont screw you over. Hes worked on my whole familys cars, and will break down all of the work hes doing for you, dollar by dollar. Hes upfront, wont sugarcoat things, and will do all he can to make sure youre getting a fair deal.Yeah its sort of hard to see from the main road, and the path to his street is bumpy, but its all worth it. Hes a good guy and a good mechanic. Even though I live about 20 miles away from him, Id happily go again.

BMW, Mercedes, Chevys, diesels, Dan has fixed them all, prices are fair and he has never padded the bill, just gets them fixed up running and back on the road. Update: 3 years later they are still amazing. 3 years ago I recommended D&K Automotive Repair based on 4 services/repairs. Fast turn around for a starter replacement last week, same day (24 hour time frame). Keeps me coming back with the reasonable prices and great customer service. That was my fourth repair or service with D&K and I will be back next time I need a repair.

Replaced the K member on the mustang to eliminate the vibrations in the steering column after some aftermarket stuff was added to it. In the end Dan and Justin ended up bending the header to give a bit more clearance. (1/8th INCH or so.) Good work and great service.This kind of solution was a little rough but it had to be done. Justin was really receptive to the K member upgrade and the links i sent and its nice to see a technician think outside of the box and just get it handled.So far the mustang drives very well, and no CEL codes. There is some vibrations but this is expected due to the suspension upgrade. In other words the vibrations are not from the steering column rubbing on the header, its from the high performance mounts and suspension. In addition to everything, Dan provided a ride since he was in the area.Great job guys, way to bring it.

Im always pleased with D&K Automotive, not only for the services provided and their pricing, but because I am able to describe what I hear or feel when driving my vehicles and they listen and are able to diagnose and repair issues without me having to describe things in mechanical detail.With my most recent repair, I was concerned that their were other dealer recommended services that I had missed, but Dan has access to lists of recommended services for each of my vehicles and performed only the ones that were needed after doing a detailed inspection.Every one needs to know an honest mechanic and you cant go wrong bringing your vehicles to D&K Automotive.

I truly believe Dan at D&K Automotive Repair to be the most honest mechanic I have ever encountered. Every repair theyve ever done has been without problems. I have been using only his services for the past 5 years and would only use another mechanic if he turned me away.Ill share my favorite experience. I had an old Hyundai Sonata that I was trying to drive into the ground, but I had a couple of minor issues and I was worried about safety. I had just got a bonus at work and was heading out of town, so I asked him if I could drop it off and have him take a deep dive into 2-3 different areas to see if he could find anything that was faulty or unsafe. I showed up at the mechanic and basically asked him to find anything wrong. He called me up and told me nothing was unsafe or worth fixing. Can you believe it? A mechanic who has so much honesty and integrity that he turned away business because he couldnt find anything wrong. Ive seen my dad get fleeced multiple times with mechanics. Oil change place always has a list of hundreds of things I need to spend money on, but he had none.When I totaled my car, I really didnt want a car payment. The insurance company said it was 4-5k in damages. I walked away with a ~2k bill from D&K for the service. Less than half the price.I also had D&K replace a timing belt on that car and while there were in there replaced the water pump. The price was almost half of what I was expecting. I drove that car for another 70k miles without anything but an oil change.If you want honesty, integrity, unbeatable value, and a great mechanic to boot, go see Dan at D&K Automotive. I promise you wont regret it.

Take both our Suburban and Accord to D&K exclusively for anything from an oil change to a transmission rebuild. Their work is exceptional. They keep us informed on exactly what they are doing and will not go for the upsell by suggesting work that does not need to be done. As someone who worked in the car business for a number of years, I cannot tell you how refreshing that is. There is nowhere else I will take the cars.

Im almost hesitant to write a good review for these guys for fear that they will get super busy and have long wait times. As it is right now, Ive taken our van to them several times, and have always had a fair and positive experience. Never once have I felt like I was being taken advantage of or lied to. These guys run a good shop.

Okay, heres the deal. I relied on the guys at D and K after getting royaly screwed by another auto repair shop. I am a 56 year old widow on my own and from day one the guys at D and K ALWAYS treated me with respect and care. They have never once took advantage of me and have always given me the upmost quality at the very best price. They NEVER suggested unnecessary work. I have a new car now but continue to advise my friends and family to PLEASE do yourself a great favor and go to these guys if you need auto repair. I believe in them so much that I recently sent my daughter (a single mother of a disabled child) that has real financial struggles to the guys at D and K and took the absolute best care of her for a price that even she could afford. Dan isnt the cheapest oil change around. But how cheap is that oil of theyre trying to upsell you on service you dont need?Ive brought all of my cars to D&K for years. Hes honest and his mechanics dont trash out my car with grease stains. Go see him.

We had an extraordinary experience with Dan at DK Auto. I took my wifes 95 Toyota Avalon for the annual car inspection and it failed the inspection because of a worn control arm bushings. They have DK Auto name card stuck on their wall so I thought I would give them a call to find out how much it would cost to fix it. I talked to Dan over the phone, the first thing he wanted to make sure was whether we truly needed to replace the bushings because its costly and labor intensive. He advised that I bring the car in to let him verify. I dropped off the car during lunch hour. Dan had just left to give a customer a ride home. One of his mechanics Marshall was there. He was very nice and courteous, and took down my contact information, and said he would pass it along to Dan. One thing I noticed was just how clean and tidy the entire shop was. Maybe this is the kind of discipline they observed every time they break for lunch or leave for the day. That tells me this is a well-run business. The last time I went to a mechanic was almost 15 years ago. We have a big family and every dollar counts so I managed to do most of the repair work myself. We have three family vehicles. Dan got back to me later in the afternoon to confirm that it does need replacement work and gave me a quote of $580. I told him I needed some time to think about it, He said no problem. I did some online research and price shopping/comparison that afternoon. If I buy my own parts and do the work myself, it would cost around $150-200. I decided that it is too much work this time around and much easier to work on if the car is on a lift, which I dont have in my garage. I did find another mechanic who is willing to replace the entire control arms on both sides for $467. I called Dan back and asked if he is willing to price match. He said he will get back to me shortly. When he called back, he quoted me $496. The difference was so little that I decided to go with Dan. They got it done the same day afternoon, thats fast! It was a Friday and they are closed on weekends (which is another indication to me that this is a good business that takes care of its employees) I told Dan that my wife wont get back from work until 6 so I wont be able to get to his shop before they closed. Dan graciously volunteered to come pick me up from my house about 5 miles away. Wow! Great personal service. In the meantime, Dan also verified that our alternator is dying but I decided that is something I can do myself, again Dan said no problem - and thats typical of the way he deals with his customer - no pressure, always polite, gives honest assessment and fair pricing. Lastly, Dan charged up my battery so I can drive the car home. What a pal! This is the kind of small businesses that I personally like to support. Integrity. Service. Customer-oriented. Thank you Dan and Mike (one of his mechanics who fixed our car)
