I too have a home warranty policy that sent ECO-AIR out to repair my air conditioner. I found them to be very professional and I appreciate everything they did. Yes, I may have had to wait a few days from beginning to end but that is what happens through a warranty company. This is the first time I have had ECO-AIR out but not the first to deal with a warranty repair. They have procedures that have to take place that usually take up to 48 hours (i.e. the insurance companys approval department, then the purchasing department, etc.) and thats hoping that the part they ordered is in stock locally to be picked up. The last time the part had to be shipped from the manufacturer and it took almost 2 weeks. Luckily ECO-AIR was able complete my install the day after the service tech came out but I wasnt dealing with weekends either. I would cut them a break. They arent the only ones, in this case, that you are dealing with. I would recommend ECO-AIR to anyone. In fact, the reason I know all of this is because they explained the process in detail to me. Anyway, enough said. They were awesome!
It looks like this company is no longer in business. If so, its for good reason. They didnt even even look at the evaporator coil, but instead replaced the compressor, which was working fine. That was under our home warranty, so the next year, we had to foot the bill for the evaporator coil ourselves, and now we have had to have leaks repaired and our system refilled twice because of Eco air crimping a bunch of punctures in our copper lines with the teeth on their pliers when they replaced the compressor. The only reason I wish they were still in business is Id like to hold them liable for their shoddy workmanship. Instead, Eco air is going to be costing us another $1000 today. Good riddance!
The initial call happened on 9/16/2013. It was just fixed on 10/12/2013. The company Eco Air was HORRIBLE. The guy Bo was obnoxious and rude. Ive had to call on numerous occasions to get updates. This was totally unacceptable. Weve waited on parts and we had to call to find out where parts were if they were delivered and push for a service request. The initial diagnosis was a bad compressor which they would have to order and it would be 2-3 days before they can get the part in. First of all they dont return phone calls or even answer the phones. The owner by the name of Bo Michael is rude and he blamed AHS every chance he got. Very unprofessional company. Dont ever send them to my residence again.
We have american homesheild insurance who contracted with ecoair .we live in austin, texas where the temp gets >90 deg in summer .we opened a ticket with AHS Eco air send a tecnician on 5/28/13 they came diagnosed the problem and told us they had to order the compressor which will be 2-3 days before they can get the part. They reassured us it will be done before weekend.come friday they told us they dont have the part they will pick it up and only beable to fix AC on monday6/3.First of all they dont return phone calls or even answer the phones. The owner by the name of Bo Michael is rude and he blamed AHS which is another horrible company.they said their schedule is full they cant on saturday. The guy Bo michaels even told he ave to will drop us and threatned that if we go to a different vendor we have to wait another week .Very unprofessional.
Its not common for me to write reviews. However for the sake of saving someone else time do not use this company. They seem to cherry pick jobs and if they dont like the profit on one job (because of warranty claims) they simply wont call you back.
