So Im from out of state and This place was so helpful! As I walked in the doors, immediately was greeted and felt welcomed! I was helped by Trista, who is hands down a Bad A**! She was helpful who although couldnt help me still was able to assist me when others could not. If you looking for a loan or need any help concerning anything, I fully recommend going here! And Dont forget ask for Trista!

I have been doing business for the last 4 years with them, they are not only a great crew of workers. They give great customer service, they answer your questions directly and truthfully. I was in a pinch and totally spaced to pay them this past week, I gave them a call to let them know what happened and they extended it another week for me. They are awesome and will work with you if you call them! Lots of people are scared to call loan places when they are in a pinch but they will help! Check city is the best! Ive been coming here to cash checks for the last 7 years and have never had a bad experience. The ladies are always very respectful and polite. Since Im a business owner i get checks from different customers all the time and even though they have to verify the funds before cashing them they do this in a timely manner. Ive also gotten payday loans there and they always text and call to let me know when they are going to with draw the funds from my account. I enjoy going in to see the ladies when I need to cash a check because they are helpful and they make you feel lile you are talking to a friend! Check City does not let you pay your loan off in full over the phone..... you have to go to the store or try to play trivial pursuit with there horrible website..... i will never take a loan out with check city when there is speedy cash and moneytree which are more user friendly and have the technology to take balance in full over the phone!!!!

The first time I use Check City, was very unpleasant experience. I used Western Union to send my Mortgage payment through Check City. the payment never went through the Manger Cynthia said they had a list of Mortgage company. I give them my Mortgage statement with the Loan number, mortgage company name western union password that they needed and my payment went to a bank in California and the Lady called me to see if I had an account with them. I said No that my Mortgage payment. These was weeks later. I never received a phone call from anyone from Check Cash the Manger Cynthia knew I was very unpleased with the experience. The Manager Cynthia said it was my fault. The customer fault! Poor customer service. I still own a loan and I called and asked why I never got a reminder call. Now they dont do reminders calls, they do texts. I would like a reminder call and I would Like for Check Cash to honor there 10 grace period as well. I like to go in to the store and make my payment in cash. At this Check cash store it dont matter what the customer would like. The customer is always wrong. Poor Customer service.

Its too bad I cant give less than one star. These morons are the most clueless idiots Ive ever seen in my life. First of all I called ahead before driving down 40 minutes from Thornton. I asked very detailed questions about what I needed to bring with me and told them I banked with Fidelity. Fidelity, if you are as clueless as these pathetic morons, is one of the top 5 largest banks in the United states. The person helping me with my loan immediately started asking questions about my bank and I answered them clearly. My employer set up the bank account for me to work with my benefits and my direct deposit. She had to go ask her manager to see if they were compatible whatever the hell that means. What kind of ridiculous system are you using that might not be compatible with one of the biggest banks on the planet. Anyway Trista, the manager apparently said that because it was a Fidelity account it must be a Brokerage account, which its obviously not, as the statement I brought in clearly states its a checking account of which I have 3 with Fidelity. So rather than calling the manager back and informing her of this, the girl tells me well we just arent compatible with banks that arent like US Bank or TCF. Im like WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN? I only came down here because my cell phone bill needs paid today and I wouldnt be so mad if I hadnt taken pains to call ahead before driving all the way down, to make sure that I had what I needed and it worked just fine. These people are absolute idiots who are obviously looking for reasons not to loan to a person who makes $50k a year with a good credit score. Trista the manager us the dumbest of them all. If you need a payday loan, go to speedy cash or ace. Those two both approved me without question within 5 minutes and I enjoyed the experience. Dont waste your time or your brain cells on these morons. Please. Also, Im making them my personal project because I dont like idiots being in business. This place is horrible! I called ahead to see what I needed to apply for a loan, I had everything they told me to bring and when I get there, they ask me for more documents I was never told about. If Im coming here its because I need money I cant afford to be driving all over town back and forth. When I asked why I wasnt told this over the phone I did not get an answer or even an apology. I was sarcastically told I need that form and have a nice day with quite a bit of tone.

Dont waste your time here I called them and asked them when I need it to make a loan and they told me that all I needed was my bank statement and something with my account number my ID and my check stub. They didnt say anything about proof official residence.

Id really like to know what you people are doing? I have things set up for direct deposit, and you guys take money out of my account, which is fine, but then pit it right back into my account. Then when I have no money in my account you take more out and leave me in the negative. My bank has no idea why, you take funds out then put them back in then take them out again 2 weeks later. Then you guys send me letters saying I havent paid? Incorrect, I have paid.

If you ever need money quickly...mmm yea theyll give you the money quickly. But the employees are super dinky. Over the months of paying them off every time I called my balance was wrong. I do understand there is a daily fee. Hint daily fee but not hourly fee! I called at least 7 times in one day trying to get the right balance so that I could pay in full. EVERY TIME I CALLED I HAD A DIFFERENT BALANCE! It got to the point that I had to have the manager Trista to send me an email of my balance so that it was in documentation of what my amount was! Guess what... she even sent the wrong balance that was remaining to my email as well! Like how hard is it to get my remaining balance correct??Anyways finally got my one and only balance and went to go pay for it over the phone and they tell me when youre making your final payment it has to be in cash and brought into the store I was beyond annoyed at this time!I called back to speak to Trista again who informs me that I can actually pay online using my account thats set up but by ACH.Long story short.1) Always get a confirmation number.2) Find out exactly whats the daily fee3) Theres a $30 monthly fee4) Keep track of your balanceTHEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!ITS ALMOST NOT EVEN WORTH THE LOAN!!I RECOMMENDED SPEEDY CASH!!

I went into her and Trista Gibson the manager helped me..and she is amazing..Ive been to a few loan places and it can be draing.but Trista went above and beyond to help me and verify even the hardest info. Even when I got denied I was out smoking and she came out and it saddened her but told me I was denied she then stood there and went over all reapplying rules for me to come back, and you could tell it hurt her almost as much as it did me that she did not approve me even though out of her control I live close to another check city but would drive for hours if I had to just to even cash a check at Tristas check city on Wandsworth in Lakewood.Thanks Trista for making even that news of deied a lot easier to take..I still left with a smile because she is truly that amazing..Thanks again .SincerelyJulie Onorato

It is perhaps better than many other payday loan places in terms of rates. If you have to do this, i recommend them.

Check the cash they give you before you leave, I was given a counterfeit $100 bill last night, the bank took it from me when I tried to deposit it. Not only was it humiliating to be told by your bank that you tried depositing fake money but it was devastating to know that my trust with Check City had been broken. They gave me fake money and for that I will never go back there again.

Checkcity is the worst place to do business with. They tell you that they will send you text reminders but they never do business with this company. Not only is the customer is horrible a the store in Lakewood on Wandsworth and Jewell but there customer service is just as bad if not worst in their corporate office. I guess this company does not care with how many bad customer reviews that they. Maybe if they go out of business they will look at customer service as that is what makes or break business. A little advise you may want to send Evelyn to some more training classes or anger management and as far as your corporate manager Nathan it didnt seem to care about anything that I had to say. This is diffenitly a company that I will never go back to.
