My car has been broken into 3 times and I just bought it in March. With 0 cameras and 0 respect for their tenants property Im not surprised nothing has been done. They raised the rent without stating that they would before I resigned the lease. Before I knew my apartment building had its own address I had a phone mailed to the office. They REFUSED to check their mail box and told me it wasnt there. A month!!! Later they confessed it was there and they were sorry. At that point I had already filed a claim and ordered a new one. Its easy to put on a fake smile and say welcome. But Im starting to realize this is just the norm for apartments in Colorado. They charge you to park in the parking lot. I havent received one email back about dogs attacking people. Paying $2,000 for a 1.5 bedroom is a bit defeating when you realize how unorganized and unthoughtful the property management is. I will update this review if any progress is made.

Great apartment complex! Friendly and helpful office and maintenance staff, quick handling of maintenance requests, and the grounds were alwayskept nice. You can’t beat the beautiful bear creek right in your backyard. Downsides are no recycling, paying a monthly ‘common area maintenance fee’ and rising costs of the apartments. Otherwise a great, quiet community to live in!

This was my first apartment after undergrad. The neighborhood is nice it is very close to downtown Denver and Littleton area. The inside is more modern than you would think. It is a dog friendly complex they have a decent size dog park and they do a pretty good job cleaning it and holding tenants accountable. There are different paths/trails you are able to take when you go on your walks. The leasing office for the most part was helpful but, YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW UP with them on almost everything. They are not the best with reaching back out to their tenants from my experience. I was only living there for a year and we had about 3-4 new leasing office ladies all had very good customer service. The maintenance team was always quick with my request. They would fix the issue within a few hours or later that day. All in all I do not have too many negatives comments about this complex.

We lived at the Crossings at Bear Creek for 3.5years and just moved out due to moving back east. We loved our 3 bedroom apartment and location. We were close to everything. We had issues the first 2 years living there with getting things fixed by maintenance but since the new maintenance manager took over last year they are on top of it when you call with a problem. As well as the new management has been very attentive. I would recommend the Crossings at Bear Creek.

I just moved into this complex last week with nothing but exceptional things to say. I was treated with the best customer service the first day that I walked into the leasing center with my parents. Elizabeth knew everything she needed to know, as well as the policies and procedures of the complex. They worked with me as my heater went out at my old place and allowed me to change my move-in date twice.Specifically, Marina was exceptional in her troubleshooting and management skills. She contacted me after hours with a confusion I had on my pro-rate and made sure that everything was squared away for the next day. I have never felt so comfortable moving into a complex. Katie, who has done an amazing job as a temp, made sure she worked hard to answer any and all questions that would help me in my move-in. She called me back twice for minor questions I had about trash and quiet hours - I appreciated it so much.Thank you all for this great customer service. As far as the apartment goes, its is top of the line and breath-taking in terms of views and fresh air. I think the pricing for this complex is a steal coming from Denver where you wouldnt get half of these amenities for this price. So happy to be here. Thank you!

Lived here 2 years. They never answer the phone in the office. Parking is limited if you come home after 8:30. They tried to “fix” the parking by repainting the lines a good 10 inches smaller per spot which prevents you from exiting your vehicle without hitting the car next to you which means you can count on door dings if you live here. If you have a truck you can forget about your truck fitting in the spot. I was happy to get out of there.Oh and they said they were working on a solution for the parking but nothing was ever done. They made the spaces tiny and added in a bunch of useless motorcycle parking.

Parking is a HUGE problem. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The new management could care less about their residents. If you want to be able to park anywhere near your building when coming home anytime from 5pm and on, then do yourselves a favor and do not live here. I have talked to other residents and they also feel major frustration with parking. Parking is a serious issue and the new management came up with a new parking policy that basically says, we can not guarantee our residents parking but guests can park here until 9pm. So, I get home from work at 5:30pm and have to park half a mile away because there is no where to park but several non- residents can take my parking spot no problem? That seems fair. Old management always acknowledged that parking was an issue and were always trying to find ways to improve it and all guests had to park on the street. New management doesnt care. We have friends that just rented a two bedroom apartment same size as ours literally down the street and are paying $300 less and there is tons of parking. We will be so thrilled when our lease is up and we will be telling everyone we know looking for apartments to save themselves the parking frustrations we experience daily, and live somewhere else.

If I could leave fewer stars I would. Since Ive moved in, we have had maintenance issues that either do or do not get resolved. In DEC, 3 cars got stolen from residents in my building. nothing has been done and its almost March. 2 garage blocks have been broken into since DEC, still nothing has been done. I was JUST informed that flood lights were just put on order, but I assume Itll be another 6 months before we actually see those. Parking is abysmal, making a garage almost a necessity, yet the crossings cant seem to find a way to secure said garages. If you are looking at this apartment complex, please refrain from giving this place a second glance.UPDATE: Its been over 6 months since our garage got broken into. There are no cameras, flood lights, or any other security measures taken to protect the tenants or their property. When asked why, the manager confirmed that saving money is more important than the safety of the tenants and their personal property. Very excited to be out of this lease soon.

I completely disagree with the prior review indicating that service has dropped off since The Crossing took over management. As someone who has lived here for the last four years (and counting), I would honestly say that service has improved since I first signed my lease in 2012 with the former management company Carmel Bear Creek. Tamra and her colleagues have been responsive, polite, and genuine every time I have interacted with them. They really go above and beyond their job to make living here as pleasant as possible and, as a result, our apartment really feels like home. Any service requests we have made are promptly addressed and consistently done so with the utmost professionalism. Tamra has even been kind enough to take special requests for some routine maintenance requests to best accommodate my busy life/work schedule. And did I mention that the apartments are absolutely beautiful? Everything is updated/modern and the open floor plan really seals the deal. Although the rent may be on the expensive side, it is very typical right now in the Denver metro area given the influx of people to the state and you wont find better value anywhere else. Based on the absolutely beautiful apartments, excellent customer service of the office staff, responsive maintenance crew, and numerous amenities (coffee/fitness area/pool), I give The Crossing at Bear Creek Apartments 5/5 stars.

And left the place spotless. They agreed during the walk through. And still took almost $700 from me.Stay away from this place. Also the parking is always bad. As others have said. Read the reviews. Consistent complaints arent a coincidence. If you like wasting your valuable time searching for parking and ending up across the street uphill after a hard days work... Youll enjoy this place.

Marina was efficient, professional and personable throughout the move-in process! Our apartment was clean upon move-in, the workout room, pool and hot tub are very nice, and despite dogs on the property, you wouldnt know it from looking at the lawn. UPDATE:The complex has responded quickly to our complaints about the parking policy and just notified us of a new one. I think itll work out much better for everyone. Im updating my review to 5 stars to reflect this. Thank you for listening to your residents!________________________________________The apartments look great, the price is decent for the area, its quiet (especially at night), and the maintenance has been on point and fast for us. Theres a beautiful view of the mountains and I feel like were close to literally everything (grocery stores, gas, restaurants, downtown, etc).I wouldve easily given this complex five stars if it wasnt for the new parking policy. We have two cars and received a spot for one unless we pay $80 a month for a garage as additional space.I understand theyre trying to be fair about the parking since there were issues before, but Ive noticed that 6-7 spaces right next to our building are never used. I wonder if they properly assigned them or if those people dont need to use them? Its frustrating to be forced to park blocks down the road when there are always open spaces there. They put notices on cars to be moved for the new policy with a warning for towing, but theres still a car sitting out there with the notice on it taking up a valuable spot.Hopefully the new policy is fleshed out a little better soon. This is the ONLY complaint we have about this apartment complex.

I love living here. It stay pretty quiet especially in the evenings. The maintenance staff is always courteous and quick. The office managers are always very nice and know everyone by name. The view of Bear Creek is amazing and a great place to walk especially if you have a dog. The grounds are always kept neat and clean. The interior of the apartments are open with lots of natural lighting and the bathrooms have very large garden bath tubs for an apartment. Our kitchen was also remodeled before we moved in and it is one of our favorite parts of our home. The rent is high overall but not when you consider the location, amenities and square footage. Other places nearby were around same price but much smaller with older kitchen appliances and not as open of a layout.

A very noisy place to live. The floors are not sound insulated and poorly built, so you will be woken at all hours of the night from someone dropping something on your head. Loud noise is not reprimanded per city of Lakewood ordinances either.Parking is a mess as they will not guarantee you a spot to park. So park where you can, and surprise, your car is booted the next morning. In addition to regular gas and electric with Excel, you are expected to pay water, sewer AND their common area maintenance and electricity. Hardly fair when someone is running machinery out of their garage, fixing cars, etc. and you pay for their electricity. This place feels like your living in a cheap, sleezy motel. Any issue I have had they have handled within a reasonable time frame. I disagree with people complaining about the noise. Its an apartment, there will be some noise from neighbors, there is no getting around it. Ive never had an issue with unreasonable noise. People just need to realize that its not their house. In regards to the parking situation, its not the greatest, but its what they have. Dont want to get booted? Dont park in the lot unless you have a pass and dont park where youre not supposed to. You can easily reserve a parking space. The parking now is better than it was last year. There are much worse parking situations out there.

I lived here for almost 3 years. Very pet friendly, and the staff was kind to us during our time living there. However, the residents are terrible at picking up their dog poop, literally poop everywhere. The maintenance wasnt very good at refilling the poop bags when the dispensers were empty. They dont have recycling, yet the cost of trash removal kept going up. Residents left unwanted furniture and trash all over the place, couches, chairs, mattresses, etc. (even though they make you pay a fee for surveilence cameras making sure that people dont leave large items laying around or dump them by the trash compactor) i had several people living above me drop cigarette butts into my patio, which was offensive and gross. I complained several times, but the leasing office wouldnt do anything for me unless I had proof. The insulation in the apartment was very poor, we would turn our heat up to 80 and it would still only be 60-65 degrees in our apartment. So me and my newborn were always FREEZING, very drafty by the doors and windows. Our heat bill was $100+ a month so be ready for that! The carpet wasnt properly installed when we moved in, so it started to shred apart every time we vacuumed. I stepped on nail tracks from the carpet everyday, where the carpet and linoleum met. The parking lot has very few guest parking spots, so prepare your friends and family to get a $100 boot put on their tire if they choose the wrong spot, or if the 3 guest parking spots are full, then theyre S.O.L.!We left the apartment spotless and clean when we moved out, yet they found enough cleaning charges and fees to send to us that was conveniently the equivalent of our security deposit. One of them was a carpet deodorizing charge... 1. It was made clear by the first owners that this carpet would need to be replaced and installed PROPERLY, after we moved out for the next tenets, SEVERAL notes were made about this. 2. We were told we would not be charged for any carpet damage because it would be replaced. So to the resident moving in, enjoy your crappy worn carpet, I hope those tacks feel nice in your feet, and may your vacuum shred the corners with vigor.Once again, nice people, nice staff, friendly for pets, NOT the greatest quality of living for $1400+ a month.

The practices of this place are deplorable and the units themselves are worth nowhere near what they are charging, as you find out after you move in. Please consider other complexes in the area before this. Things are shiny and people friendly and accommodating until you sign the lease, and then everything goes downhill quickly.Over a week before moving out, my garbage disposal broke, as it had several times before (the dishwasher had also broken and took 3 calls for maintenance and 3 weeks to get fixed, and the AC, and the heat. Youll find quickly that everything you cant see is of the cheapest quality available. Your energy bills are sky high because doors and windows dont shut completely and there is no insulation in the walls. You can her every word (and other noises) your neighbors make because the walls are paper thin...). Anyway, I called for service and was completely ignored. I called again a few days later with the same result. This was basically par for the course for my stay there and I should have expected it, but now my sink was filling with week-old nastiness, as was the dishwasher from the backup in the pipes. So I couldnt wash dishes either in the sink or the dishwasher, or use the sink and had to live in filth for my last week at lovely Carmel Bear Creek. They pretended they were getting around to it, but were obviously just running out the clock on my lease and had no intention to fix it.Then a few weeks after I moved out, the really fun part began. I got a move-out checklist that included a 396 DOLLAR CHARGE FOR THE DISHWASHER! I thought it must be some kind of cruel joke. I contacted the ladies at the front desk. They informed me that they dont handle concerns of people who had already moved out. How convenient! So i contacted the property management company. After a few more emails, they informed me that the charges were because the handle for the dishwasher had to be replaced. THE HANDLE! For one thing, the handle was in perfect working order when I vacated. For another thing, a 396 DOLLAR HANDLE?? Really? So they made me live in filth, tried to steal my money, and now were insulting my intelligence.Ive now filed a claim at JeffCo courts. Please save yourself the money and headache. This place looks nice on the initial tour, and its completely miserable after that. Dont do it.

I applied to this complex nearly two weeks ago and the communication has been non existent. I was promised that I’d receive a welcome email as soon as I was approved, and never heard back. I’m moving from out of state so the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating, especially since they lied to my boyfriend that they had called and left me multiple voicemails. They also claimed to have met me multiple times, which leads me to believe that they had us confused with someone else. We had our hearts set on this place and couldn’t afford to go around spending hundreds of dollars on application fees at other complexes, so we waited. With our move date coming up soon, we were put under so much unnecessary stress not knowing if we had a place to live or not. Finally today we got a call asking if we were still moving in in 4 days. WHAT?! We are extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication from the leasing staff, especially since they made it sound like we’d get approved right away. Don’t waste your time, it’s clearly not worth theirs. I fully expect a refund on our application fee as they clearly had no intention of communicating with us in a professional manner.

These are the worst apartments ever, there is never parking, the office never answers there phone and the staff is horrible!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to anyone. I’ve been here for a year and its by far the worst decision ever.

I agree with the other reviewer (Jake) that the service has noticeably dropped off since the management/owners changed. Most recently I have been frustrated because we have been charged a community maintenance fee (approximately $35 per month). The funny part is that the place seems to be falling apart. The last management company kept the place very nice. Since the new management company has taken over, there has been tape on the swimming pool bricks since the beginning of the summer (my child scraped her leg on a different area of broken brick), the hot tub has been broken for almost the entirety of the summer, the hot tub is dirty or moldy (did not look that way last year), RECYCLING has been removed (because the residents were not acting responsibly), garbage frequently piles up outside the compactor, the compactor is currently broken (we were told that our community maintenance charge was meant to be used for the compactor and flowers - hmmm - shouldnt these things be covered by our very high rent?). I am writing this review because we only ever receive excuses and explanations that serve the interest of the apartment owners when we politely explain our concerns. To be fair, we have enjoyed the way the apartment looks (though we are constantly fighting mold around the bedroom windows), the bathrooms are large, and the maintenance staff have always been very nice, quick, and competent (I dont believe it is the maintenance staffs fault that the community areas are falling apart.)

Puts the squeeze on you to either renew long-term or have a 25% rent increase. Tries to get over on you during move out. Almost every resident around us left in the time we were there. No one sticks around.

My partner and I moved to Carmel in May, I am sooooo happy to live here, my only complaint is the patios floor have a space from the railing and that is a danger hazard. We also were running out of time of looking for a place and this place was my favorite when I saw it! Why do you ask? Well, minutes away from the beautiful BELLMAR MALL, great location, great trails! Especially if you take Morrison Rd. west and right on bear drive, then left on Jewel you are in the most high park there is... and the views!! WOW. The one dissatisfaction we had was the price 1br, $1200/m is pricey. I would say $1000 would be decent. As a previous Property Manager I can go on and on about this place. Would be nice to see some sort of small park area, I have neighboors late evenings letting their dogs loose under our window BLDG. 3 and it can be frustrated to try to sleep when dogs are barking and 10 people gather under the windows... Otherwise it is a great community, I am proud of the girls at the office they do a great job at running a friendly staff... SMILE is important, and they always work with us.. Thank you.
