Called Tuesday evening for 4 year old refrigerator not cooling. refrigerator not fixed until Friday at 4:15 pm. had one repairman on Wednesday for charge of $400.00 for diagnostics and servicing. second repairman finally fixed the problem on Friday for $ 271.00. It took 3 days to get this fixed and one must be waiting and available from 8am until 5 pm. this was a horrible experience.
Great customer service fast shipping excellent help when it comes to finding parts
My Technician was on time he was friendly and he fixed my dryer quickly. He also offered my a great repair warranty on my other appliances.Great experience !!!
After waiting three months for parts, etc...Charles repaired my refrigerator freezer to my satisfaction.
Top notch service on my Kenmore dishwasher. Service tech was courteous and knowledgeableHe called to let me know he was on the way. Very pleased.
I think he did a wonderful job ( as far as I can tell because I don’t know his job. If I did I would not need u)serving but he had a hard time getting up the stairs and up and down from the floor. First time I had a service personal asked to use bathroom. I had no problem but it just shocked me
Sears did an excellent - outstanding job. The servicemen who did the job were clearly very professional and knowledgeable of the trade. They kept me informed about the time of arrival and were most responsive to our concerns about the work to be done. They planned the work ahead of time, ordered the necessary parts which were delivered to my home and available to them when they arrived. The most impressive feature of the Sears Appliance Repair is that if you have to call them back again to do something that was not done right - they will work with you to reschedule the work at no charge for either labor or parts. They are reliable and responsive and do a good job. I would not use anyone else but Sears to get any appliance repaired in my home. They are the best - period.
The first attempt at serviceman coming to repair was horrible. He did not show up, then service dept wanted to R/S over a week later!! Fortunately because I have multiple contracts with Sears, I knew one of the contract servicemen that had gave me great service previously. He was able to come the next day, repair with part on his truck and got me running in no time. But foreigners answering followup calls (I made at least 4 or 5 trying to find my first serviceman that did not show up or text me!) are hard to explain and understand. Come on whats wrong with good USA employees?
Wants money first. WATCH EM
THE TECS. ALWAYS CALL BEFORE THEY COME TO GIVE AN APPROX. TIME. THE WORKMAN SHIP IS EXCELENT. THEY ARE ALWAY POLITE AND EFFICENT.HOWARD
My Samsung dryer heating element went out and we called Sears. They told us the service call was $75 but that would be applied to repairs. We had replaced the heating element once before and it had cost us under $100. Sears charged us $400 dollars! A couple of hundred more and I could have bought a new dryer! Two heating elements burning out in 5 yrs lead us to believe either Samsung is trash, or our laundry closet is too small for the larger dryers and there is limited airflow. We deepened the closet, but if the heating element burns out again, I will not call Sears! Too expensive!
The repair guys were great. Kind, courteous and knowledgeable. The scheduling company however, is not so great. I believe they are outsourced. I’m happy with the repair though.
This technician, Wade Miller, seemed to know what he was doing. We have been dealing with problems with our Kitchen Aid refrigerator since we bought it 2 years ago. I think we have had 6 service calls. Mr. Miller diagnosed the problem, ordered a part, and then returned to install it. So far there has been no ice buildup at the back of the refrigerator so I hope the problem has been fixed. I was getting tired of emptying the refrigerator every time someone came to “fix” it. I was almost getting desperate, but I hope the problem has been fixed. 2 phone representatives said we were leaving the refrigerator open too long. It is just my husband and and me and we do not keep it open for long periods of time. Glad we had the warranty. Wish it had been fixed sooner.
This service is a SCAM.We Used this garbage service in a failed attempt to have our 3 year old dryer repaired. Its been a month and the repairs have yet to be completed.Tech came out twice and was unable to repair. First time the tech came he spent 15 min and indicated a new motor had to be ordered. He placed the order and the repair was rescheduled for the following week.As scheduled, a week later the tech returned for another 15 min visit and stated that additional parts were needed and it would be an another 2 weeks before he could reschedule. Not sure why the parts couldnt be ordered after the first visit but ok.By this point I was not happy, I called sears directly and was on hold for 30 minutes before speaking to someone was put on hold again for a total of and hour and a half and then hung up on without ever really speaking to anyone.Called the customer care center and after a brief 20 min hold was informed that if We wanted the repair completed sooner we would have to wait just 3 days but they couldnt guarantee the parts or repair could be completed. Their expectation is that the customer manage the repair case and if a problem arises then you are SOL.Customer service was horrible, no solution to the problem, no assistance and the tech was unhelpful. We had to literally chase him as he ran out the door to find out what was going on before he drove off.At this point we have spent a month without a dryer for a family of 5.After all of our frustrating experience with sears repair service all we got was a $100 invoice for work that never happened. When we called to dispute the invoice we were sent to yet another department whose phones were down (they must be using sears repair service for that as well) in attempt to cancel the service. If you have any desire to have a timely repair made to any appliance I suggest calling literally any other company besides sears.Edit: in response to your reply sears; NO! Dealing with you isnt worth my time.
Great service Terrance is the best. He finished the drier service that the other person left undone and then repaired the washer. He explained what the problem was and the probable cause. He checked the washer and made sure it all worked. He cleaned up after the service. He was personable and we were very impressed.
My hot water heater went out one day and we could not get it to stay lit. This happened before a couple of years ago. The technician came out and knew exactly what it was. Well, this time the technician by the name of Marcus came out. I told him what was going on. He proceeded to tell me I did not have enough gas pressure. He literally stood there, looked at it, and said there was no gas pressure! I explained what happened in the past and he chose not to listen. Just told me to contact the gas company to check the pressure. He left and we had to contact Sears again to reschedule another appointment. Again, Marcus came out and did the same thing as before. Once again we rescheduled and once again Marcus came out. This time I was at work and my husband was home. He called me a bit furious that the same guy went out and still did nothing. Now mind you, we are going on 3 weeks with no hot water. Well, I called the Sears Warranty people again. This time I was not so nice, and let them know what was going on. After talking to a few different people, I finally got someone who would listen. She set up another appointment pulling someone from another area to come see about my hot water heater. This time a gentleman by the name of, I believe, Melvin came. My husband told him what was going on. He looked and said oh its your box, the light is not even coming on. And what he did do, he sat there and fixed it!! The other guy did not even try. So, Sears, I believe you need to have a talk with your technicians. If they do not want to work or do not know what they are doing, I think yall need to do something about it. The ONLY reason you are receiving the rating you are is because of Mr. Melvin. Marcus gets NO stars.
Maintenance technician called a little but before arriving. When he arrived he introduced himself and went right to work. This tech was more thorough than any previous techs, and was cheerful as he worked. He likes his job and does it well.
Repairman came and ordered parts on first day. Longest part was holding for Sears Parts Dept. Should have a designated number for repairman. Came back when parts were delivered and finished up. He did an awesome job.
Was just advertised as Sears so I was planning on looking at womens clothes and shoes. It is only appliances. Nice store but should advertise as such. Very disappointed.
On April 26 two separate repairs were scheduled - one for my bottom oven; one for my compactor. One of the two scheduled techs called around 8am to say hed be here by 10 - he arrived as scheduled and was very nice. Unfortunately after about two hours, not only was my bottom oven not repaired....the top oven was also broken!!! New parts were ordered and were due here Friday, April 29...and havent yet arrived. (Today is May 2). Hes not scheduled to return until May 6...AND I HAVE TWO NON-WORKING OVENS. The OTHER scheduled tech (for my compactor) NEVER CAME on April 26. When I called Sears 4/27 morning, they checked their computer records and found that a tech said hed come and the compactor was find!!!! NEVER HAPPENED. A new tech was scheduled. Thai arrived as scheduled, worked valiantly and fixed my compactor. THANKS, THAI!!! Now, to just get my ovens fixed!!! Compactor repair would get 5 stars!!! Oven repair would get 1 star (because the tech was a nice guy)...hence 2 stars.
After a week tech showed up at 6 pm, not his fault, but not within the 8 am - 5 pm window scheduled. Quickly diagnosed fridge gasket were torn, which I had told chat guy that scheduled service. Another week and a half for parts to arrive. A different tech showed up at 8 am and was done within 15 minutes.Online support needs to get with the program. Techs were awesome.
He came late, was obviously rushing to get finished, a clog in his vacuum cleaner which he banged to clear didnt help so he put it on blow and blew all the mess into my kitchen utility room AND INTO MY FRIDGE all over my food, the dust and balls of dirt were everywhere I have cleaned for days and it keeps coming back. This is refrigerator service. I also had TV serviced and he gets 10 stars but cannot get a link to rate him, he was excellent.
They were very helpful and got my part fast
The scheduled time was changed 3 times before the repairman appeared at our door at 7:00 pm. Your guaranteed time or arrival was between 8 am and 5 pm. Thus the 3 stars instead of the 5 stars I would have given the repairman. He did good work quickly.
Wade and the other guy that was with him did a outstanding job on repairing my AC unit. There professionalism and attention to detail was without a doubt the best Ive seen in quite some time...Daniel Doggett
My warranty is not what I purchased. For some reason it was reduced. For 12 years I have purchased the highest warranty for my washer, dryer, and saw for some reason sears is telling me I went to the lower plan this year. I know I did not because my appliances are getting older I would have gone higher not lower. I think that sears knows that it was time to replace the washer because of all the repairs though out the years. And took it a pond themselves to reduce it. I was always so happy with sears and had referred all of my friends and family to sears and advised they buy the extended warranty. I will no longer refer anyone and I will probably not buy another appliance from sears. As to my repair the last call took me 45 days to get my washer worked on and I had to call either the warranty people or the repair at least 4 or 5 times. I asked to speak with a manager from sears and was hung up on every time.Very very unhappy loyal customer‼️
Steve was incredibly prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, experienced and confident.
The repairman came out at time of appointment. The gentleman was very nice, very knowledgeable and experienced. He answered all my questions, cleaned and checked my refrigerator. He was very clean in his work. I am very satisfied with Sears and service.
The service call was scheduled for the next day to my surprise. Lormand the repair man was there the next day right on time. He was cordial, friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. He located the origin of the washer problem, gave the cost estimate, had the parts needed, and completed the job in 30 minutes. This my third time to use Sears Appliance Repair over the years, each time was a five-star rating.
Nate did an excellent job of identifying the problem, explaining what needed to be done and accomplishing it. I was very satisfied with the quality of service and will rely on Sears and its repair services again in the future. Lets just hope thats not too soon!
Could not have been better service man instantly diagnose the problem and fixed it quickly I was impressed give this man a pat on the back for me. He also was showing a trainee how to look up parts on the computer he was very patient and understanding ☺
The service repair man was great and did a wonderful job diagnosing the problem, ordering the parts, and replacing the compressor and dryer. The poor scheduling was a challenge. One month to get a serviceman and another month and a half to get him to come back and install the parts. This is a refrigerator (necessary) and I asked for priority treatment. They put me down for emergency status to no avail. From the start of October to the end of December without a refrigerator! Not good! The compressor, dryer, and mother board was changed and still did not repair the high temperature (50-55 degrees) in refer and (23 degrees) in freezer. They gave up March 19, and said cant be repaired; bad capillary tube! Warranty is to replace my unit.
Our home refrigerator has had to be serviced at least 5 times in the past few months. We have had two service technicians, one has been super helpful. One has not been helpful at all. Our ice maker has not worked in over one month, and after the last technician visit, it still has not been fixed. It is over 90 degrees consistently since May and our refrigerator does not make ice. Our refrigerator has leaked since last November and this has become an issue. The technician visits are not solving the issues. The visits are scheduled over 4 weeks from when the calls originates. Too much back and forth and not enough finishing the task/issue.
They need to hurry and do something with the empty sears space in Acadiana Mall before the mall looses more foot traffic. why are they taking so long to fill up that space good god. Michelle from Lafayette
Sears appliance repair was a nightmare. 3 months later and 3 service visits later it is fixed. The main problems are the timeliness in getting them on site. Once you get them to diagnos the problem they have to order parts then you get put and the end of the line before they can install the parts. For me, once they came out to install, it was determined the prior service guy ordered the correct parts but someone from the warehouse sent a random part so the part had to be re-ordered and again was put at the end of the line to come put that part in. Service help lines were no help! I was a long time Sears customer, but not anymore!
These guys customer service is top notch! And warranty services are outstanding. Highly recommend.
The repairman was and always is very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, etc.He actually does the yearly maintenance service as we purchased the maintenance warranty again last year. He is always very prompt and courteous. Thanks!
Although all of the workers are really nice and courteous. The time it takes for one to come out isnt worth the money of the sears warranty. My refrigerator is currently still not working properly and has been broken since December 8, 2016. It is January 2, 2017 and they wont be back for the 3rd time until January 10th. Absolutely horrible.
The service technician was very professional and new what he was doing. We had made a purchase of a washer and dryer several years earlier and returned them to Best Buy and went and made our purchase with Sears and have purchased all our appliances with Sears because of there great products but most of all for there great service.Thank YouLee Segura
AFTER THE THIRD TIME OF SOMEONE COMING IT WAS FINALLY DONE. I THINK THATS THE PROCESS THE COMPANY THAT SEARS OUTSOURCE TAKES IN ORDER TO SAVE THEIR COMPANY MONEY, . SO SEARS DO BETTER FOU YOUR CUSTOMERS AND MAKE SURE THE OTHER END IN ON THE UP AND UP
Technician was excellent. The scheduling process however is unacceptable. 5 day wait for a refrigerator under warranty and service contract and unwilling to give a time - just between 8-5. Luckily I was on days off but for most it means making arrangements to be home all day.
We have a Kenmore refrigerator that has a water and ice despencer in the door. The in-refrigerator water filter is changed every time that the indicator light inside the refrigerator turns yellow.Recently we noticed that the water was flowing slower than normal and the ice maker was not making much ice. Plus, the ice cubes were small than normal. The water filter indicator light was still bright green so we did not suspect the in-refrigerator filter. The service man noted the water flow rate and the size of the ice cubes. He removed the ice bin and looked at the connection mechanisms. At this point he stated that the in-refrigerator water filter needed to be replaced. I mentioned that the filter indicator was still green and he said that did not matter. I then asked if the water filter indicator light was pretty much useless. He said yes. Apparently the way to determine whether the filter needs to be replaced or not is based on water flow rate and the size of the ice cubes. I had a new replacement ice filter so the repair man replaced the old filter. He then ran several cups of water through the water dispenser to check on water clarity. The water flow rate was greatly improved.I find it odd that the water filter indicator light is pretty much worthless. At least we learned the proper way to tell when the filter needs to be replaced.
Service completed to our satisfaction..thank you
I am satisfied with the repair, however, it was my understanding that I was to be given a cost estimate BEFORE the repair and I wasnt provided one. My order details said I would be charged a diagnostic fee of $59.00 and a cost estimate to repair. My total repair fee was $127.20 with no parts used.
Our fridge is a year and a half old and our compressor has gone out twice. Both times we waited two month before a technician was available to come out to repair the appliance. Not only do you pay good money for the appliance but the warranty was an extra 500 bucks for them to continually make excuses as to why their crappy appliance has to break 4 times within a 1 year period before they are willing to do anything more. I would not recommend buying anything from them as their customer service is by far the worst I have experienced.
Efficient, on time, updated me on issue/cost. great experience
The Sears man who came to my house was very nice and did a good job testing all my appliance.Thank you,Dottie Hayes
The Sears technician and technician manager which contacted me were very professional and provided quality service. Considering the fact that previously I had to escalate a complaint to receive service in the first place, this service made up for the previous poor experience.
Could not connect w/800 repair for 3 days-heavy call volume. Had to go online, chat, dont like this type of communication. Was not told my repair was not covered by warranty until service man told me upon his arrival. Really makes me think hard about buying another Craftsman product.
The repairman showed up on time and did a very good job of repairing my oven. He was very courteous and introduced himself when he came into the house and ask me if there was anything else he can do before he left he did a very very good job
The Technician was very nice, understanding and did a very fine repair job. Thank you.
Service man was knowledgeable and identified the problem quickly. The service contract is a must if you own a Samsung refrigerator.
Repaired professionally. Friendly service
The service person was kind and courteous. Knew his mission and quikcly found and fixed the problem. Made suggestions on how to prevent in the future.
The Sears building itself has been shut down for many months now. I have no idea why this marker is still here.
Service person did a great job. very courteous and knowledgable
Less than two year old refrigerator. Problem was reported May 20th. Technician didnt come out until June 6th (at which point we had returned home from vacation to find the refrigerator completely warm and food rotting). The diagnosis was that the compressor went out and they had to order the parts. Parts came in on June 9th. They did not send anyone out until June 22nd. By this time, there was mold. The technician was extremely rude and dishonest. Needless to say, I went to Best Buy, ordered a new refrigerator and had the old one hauled away. I will NEVER purchase from Sears again.
Ed was fantastic. Super helpful, resourceful and friendly.
After 2 years finally got the right guy to come look at my Samsung frig, leaking water into crispers. He replaced bigger defrost gadget that manufacturer should have installed correctly rather than send to repairs if customer complains.Broussard Appliances 5 stars,John did the repairs so far its working okay. This frig should have been replaced first time not pc by pc.
Service was great waiting three weeks for service not good nothing for sears to brag about
All is well and good. The only thing is the timing window of when the repair man is going to be on location.
VERY GOOD, arrived on time
Very Very good experience with technician. It was quick and he helped us tremendously.
Horrible scheduling/ customer sevice and failure to provide receipts for services paid for
Highway robbery! I was charged $260 for the repairman to defrost my freezer. I am outraged! He should have told me the issue and charged a service fee. Will never use or recommend!
I had a appointment the for Monday, My appointment got cancel and no one bother to call are text me the information. I had to take a day off of work for this work to be done, only to have to reschedule for Wednesday.
My First time using they did the job, but there was some discrepancy in the pricing. The did make it right at the end and my problem is solved.
The service was so poor and I am so angry I dont want to get into it. Will never set foot in Sears again!
The motherboard and compressor was changed on my 2-year old refrigerator and it is still not fixed. It has been a month since I made the first call and will be 3 weeks before they come to look at it again. Almost 2 months with a broken refrigerator is unacceptable.
Very poor communication with service provider. Poor service
Took longer than expected b/c I was told a refrigerator part was ordered for my treadmill. Had to spend way too much time on the phone several times to try to get answers. Dont think Ill buy from Sears again if its something that could require service.
Very satisfied with the repair.
It took a while...but, looks like everything is working....
Took 20 days to get repair man to fix problem.
The ice machine is still not working. I called the next day and they told me it would be a month until they send someone. Terrible service.
It was great problem solved.
Fast, and friendly service!
Sears appliance repair gets it done!
Very good
Everything was great!!!
