I had the strangest experience when calling this hair/nail salon. My first call was to make an appointment with, David, as Id read great reviews about him and his talent with hair. The first call went well. I hung up with an appointment. I called back a few days later using the same number and was told there was no one named David that worked there. Also the woman on the line told me that they do not do hair. I gave up.

Ive been seeing David for 9yrs. He has been consistently wonderful with my cut, color and Keratin Complex treatments.... except for that night I ended up having to go out with my hair unwashed with Keratin still in it. Ugh!! I consider David, Lexi, Uvy and Cindy friends. Theyre all totally professional, kind and friendly. Prices are reasonable and professionalism is top notch. So appreciate my Dark Angel!!👿

Today was my first time at Max Hair and Nails and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. David did my eyebrows. He was wonderful for micro-blading and I highly recommend him. He was accommodating with scheduling and patient with all my questions. David was thorough with the brow design, the products and tools used were high quality and his technique top notch. I fell in love with this salon, the people, their talent and professionalism. I can’t wait to go back to get my hair done and keep visiting for my nails.

I go here all the time for lashes and realized that my lady is no longer there for my extensions. She did a full set and I went back for a fill in and a different lady did them. She used a DIFFERENT style lash to fill it in which looked AWFUL. I went back TWO days later once I saw she missed the whole corner of my eye and my friends kept asking why my lashes were messed up. I went back and she redid them, but I told her one looked like it was about to fall out in the middle because it was sticking straight up and she just tried to brush it down than sent me on my way. When I got to my car I barely tugged it and it took the entire middle extensions out. ATLEAST 9 CLUSTERS. DO NOT go here for lash extensions because the new lady has NO clue what she is doing. I do extensions myself (you cannot do your own extensions which is why I go to a salon) and I DO NOT find any of their work good or safe. When the other lady left, so did my business for them. I used to get dip and acrylics on my nails there also, but I STOPPED when it would only stay on for MAYBE TWO WEEKS. the hair part about the salon is great, but nothing else is worth the price.

So rude and ask me five times but when everyone else came in it was fine .. I will never go back there again... I never been so judged in my life going to get a hair cut and wax

Very pleased with my nails and the prices. It is a very pleasant environment and I love the quiet. Staff is very friendly, nice company; nice work without feeling like I had to spend every moment talking. It is lovely for me since Im very introverted.

Ive never had such an amazing experience at a salon. I got the dip powder manicure and my mom got a pedicure. First of all the person who did my nails was an owner but she was so sweet and fast. She got my nails done in 20 minutes. My mom loves ivy who did her pedicure. Its been a week and my nails look awesome. Well definitely go back and bring friends!!

Excellent salon with the friendliest of people. I have been going here for pedicures for more than 10 years now. Ive since started doing my nails (hands) as well. I also have David do my hair. I love my one-stop shopping and I feel like they are my family. They always ask about my son if hes not with me & when he is with me, they are always so sweet to him. Prices are excellent too - very fair & affordable!

David has done my hair for maybe 10 years. I love the work that he does and I can call him a friend. Great guy! I’ve sent my whole family here 😂 Would 100 percent recommend David to do your hair

I really wanted to give 5 stars but I cant. The woman that did my nails, AWESOME. Answered all of my questions, was patient and did a wonderful job. She also did a good job on my daughters hands. But when my daughter went to have her feet done another older lady took over. My daughter wanted only one color because shes not really a girly type to begin with. The lady kept insisting on putting glitter on the top. My daughter said after 5 times of saying no, she just let it happen. She also only didnt one coat on her toes, so sure enough, only 2 toes were painted 3 days later. It was a waste to get her toes done. Ill return for myself in the future but only if im able to see the same girl.

David is great when it comes to coloring and cutting my hair and my teenage daughters hair. I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge on what is best with color whether it be root touch up, highlights, perm, or complete change in hair color.

David is amazing. Only person I’ve let touch my hair in a year. Also got microblading done with him. Very pleased. Nice hair studio and staff are always friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Everyone is so nice there and they all go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of (especially David and Cindy). I get an SNS manicure, usually by Cindy but almost everyone there has helped me one time or another. Shes also the best eyebrow wax in town. I used to go where ever for manicure and pedicures, but now I only go to Max. I even drive from North Knoxville!

Fairly priced, and cuts my hair just the way I like it every time.Walk-ins welcome, but if you have a preferred stylist then I would reccomend an appointment.

I have been going to Max Salon for over a year now, and David is a true artist. If I show him a haircut I want on Pinterest, he recreates it exactly (no doubt with special touches for my face, which is heart-shaped). I trusted him to do my pixie cut, and I wouldnt have been willing to take that plunge unless I had complete confidence in my hairdresser. He also does my (very) blonde highlights, and does a wonderful job every time. I cant recommend this salon highly enough, and I am a tough customer to please, as are most ladies who know what they want 😉

Best shellac manicure and pedicure ever! The experience was so comfortable and the color options were so great that I regret going anywhere else.

The stylist didnt take time to figure out what I wanted in with a style/cut. She did not cut it the way I described, didnt even cut with my natural part that I told her about. Ive tried styling it at home, without luck. Now all I can do is wait for it to grow out. Very disappointed.

Just got the BEST haircut ever by David, owner of Maxs. I moved here a few months ago and got a horrible cut at metropolis. I found out about David and read some great reviews, so figured it would be ok. Well, it was more than ok. He is wonderful and the price is too, plus its a convenient location close to Trader Joes in West Hills area where I live.I am SO HAPPY to have found someone who gets it! Thank you, David!

Missed my manicure at home (in Wisconsin ) for my daughters wedding (in.Gatlinburg ), & after stopping in Knoxville to pick up my husbands tux, I found Maxs online. They were great...took me immediately & did a great job!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I booked an appointment for 3 PM and double checked about it since they are usually busy and it was common for me to wait extra thirty minutes or so the last couple times I was in. This time though was the final straw. Went in and waited only to be told that they had me down for four o clock at first. I said no I am positive you guys told me three. Then they said I am down for 6 o clock and since they are busy with other people I should come back. The run around and refusal to simply acknowledge a mistake or even offer any bit of decency in remedying the situation has turned me off of ever going here again. The total disregard and lack of respect for the customer and their time from Max Hair Salon is just ridiculous. I highly discourage anyone from going there.

Do not let the young girl with long black hair cut your hair. She was asked to trim my grandaughters hair 1 acrosss the bottom and she cut it several inches, as in 4+ in places. It was uneven to say the least and now has to be fixed by another salon. When David was asked to look at it and fix it, he made excuses for her! He evened up the bottom but left the sides a mess, the girl had already cut it so short.
