Great service. So happy with my nails!!

I had an appointment for acrylics with a friend and still ended up waiting an hour because they kept allowing walk ins. When I finally got seated, he seemed very rushed and aggressive. He cut one of my fingers with the file. I showed him a picture and he went on without asking if I liked the length, shape, or even the color of the pink he just put on. The nails werent the same length and they were all super thick. I wanted marble, but came with a backup just in case, and instead of just telling me that he didnt know how to do marble, he tried and failed. I didnt truly see what was done until I had paid and left since I was there a lot longer than expected so I just let it go. We were also told it would be a lot cheaper than we were ended up charged (Over $70 plus tip for one person). The polish chipped quickly, which Ive never had happen before at other places. I ended up just going somewhere else to get them entirely redone. Horrible service and work done.

Very unhappy with my nails because not all the same length no Hand washing didn’t even ask my opinion was just worried about rushing me out to get to the next person. Just a bad experience also not very clean... Definitely would NOT RECOMMEND

I will start off by saying that I hardly EVER write reviews but Rose deserves one with how amazing she is.. I started seeing Rose a few months ago for fills when my friend suggested her. I am so grateful to have met Rose. She is truly extremely talented in all aspects of nails. What really wows me about Rose is her attention to detail. Every single time she does my nails I leave there very happy and pleased. Her work is phenomenal!!!! Also, she is very sweet and we have fun conversations. I hope she never leaves me, I dont know what I would do!!!!

Terrible service. Nails were lumpy and uneven as well as so thick it was gross and awkward. Mind blown $80 for something press ons would out do any day. He was really ruff and aggressive with my fingers. Horrible experience and embarrassing out come. I will never go back. Waist of money and time

The pedicure was rushed the polish was sloppy and on my daughters actual toe and cuticles. The nails weren’t shaped evenly and she was finished in 25min. My daughter said the leg massage was aggressive as well. Very disappointed. We leave for vacation and I now have to clean up her toes and put another coat on

Kim and Shawn always the best part of coming here and if you get a pedicure Kathy has the best leg massages as well, she has great pressure pointing skills! Been coming here since I was 11 and WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Great place to get your nails done

Went in about 3 weeks ago. Loved the shape and the staff was super friendly. Paid $75 (got the gel polish) Within 3 days a nail broke just opening a door..... Went in and got it fixed. Paid $45 that time to fix one nail and get new polish. Got the gel polish again because it doesnt chip. She made the fixed nail a completely different shape then the rest but whatever, Im not usually a complainer. Within 4 days one nail broke while I was holding onto a railing... The polish is chipping because she put it on while my nails were still covered in dust. Today one week later as I was wiping a counter my nail just completely lifted off. I will never go back there. Over 100 dollars in three weeks to be missing 2 nails, 1 nail a different shape and polish chipping...Update... Lost ANOTHER nail while SLEEPING...

Shawn is the best!!!! He is such a sweetheart and is very gentle with your nails. He is very thorough and always make it such a great experience. I went to one other nail salon before seeing Shawn, and comparatively, the first nail salon was awful in terms of quality, service, and price. Ive only ever gone to Shawn since I started coming here, but it seems like him and all the other nail techs try to rack up a conversation with you to make the experience pleasant. Love this place!

Both my friend and I walked in and was questioned on the service we wanted and the lady told us they have no time to do two full sets on a Tuesday at 3pm . There was only one lady in the salon getting service

Nice people, Clean facility but the technician seemed in a hurry and could have done a better job for the price. One hand is uneven paint and the other hand didnt paint up to the cuticle well.

Ill never go to this place again. I walked in. Was able to get sat right away. I signed in stating I wanted just a shellac change. Older lady starts doing my nails. I said I wanted them shaped with the point (this is what I got) I wanted a simple design on all of them. White with red white and blue lines. It took 2 HOURS for her to do my nails. Theyre real so no fillings. She proceeded to soak my hands which I didnt know what she was doing. She cut my cuticles. I look around and see everyone is doing it to their clients. Didnt think much. Finally after the two hours shes done. I go to check out and its 38 dollars!! I question why its so much and she goes you wanted manicure right??? I said no. I just needed polish change and I even told her how I written it down. She spoke in her language to the guy working and still charged me for it. Theyre a rip off. They do what they want. Not what you want. I really want my money back. It was the biggest waste of time. My 12 year old couldve done a better job.

I went to a few nail techs here and had heard An and Kim are the best. I regularly started making appointments with An as she always has done my nails perfectly, is very talented with designs and different techniques, and is super efficient. I have nothing bad to say about Famous Nails, but An has since moved to Halo Nails, so that is where I’ll be going from now on!

I really enjoyed fancy nails (my first time here) i had the nail tec Kim and she was amazing! they were about 15-25 minutes late with my appointment but it was worth it because i really like my nails. just something to know is i got a new set of acrylics and it was $80! (not including tip) which i think is a little pricey, but if you have the money for it then i think it is a very good place to go!

Sweet baby Jesus praise the good lord have mercy on my nails. I came to this salon and I asked for short, rounded tips... very natural looking. The woman who was doing them must have heard, Give me the shark tooth special! (See my photo captioned shark teeth for reference). Those babies look like you could run a string through them and wear them as a necklace. Also check out the angle on that pinky nail. Get real. The worst part is, she and her posse of nail ladies ganged up on me, forcing me to pay full price. I left the salon crying and called my mom. Good stuff.

They completely wasted my time. There is no reason to tell someone you’ll have a 5 minute wait and they make you sit there for nearly an hour. At least be honest with your customers.

Kim is great and I always leave very happy with my nails! Took my grandmother to get one of her natural nails fixed and we were both VERY pleased with the result. Pleasant atmosphere, everything was sanitary and well maintained. Ask for Kim!

I walked in with no wait (awesome!), all the employees were very nice and sweet but mine. Maybe he was having a bad day. First, he did not ask me what length I wanted until he clipped my first nail and then proceeded to ask me if that length was okay... it was too short but I didnt want to bother him and make him take off and then re-glue another one on. He was aggressive with my nails and skin. Usually with coffin shaped, the sides of the nails are clipped at an angle. He did not do it, so I double checked to make sure it was still going to be coffin shaped and he said yes... so I just accepted it. Anytime he wanted me to adjust my hand or swap hands, he grunted instead of asked me to move them. After I paid the bill he watched intensely as I wrote the tip on it; I felt pressured to make sure to tip well. I also felt that he was in a rush to leave because he did everything so fast. My nails do not look anything like coffin shaped and I was still charged for them.

The last time I had my nails done, I showed the gentleman a photo of what I wanted. VERY simple design of two nails being glittery and the rest gray with two silver rhinestones. Honestly, I’m not too picky, so as long as it was something similar, I would have been fine with it. He looked at the photo one time and proceeded to paint my paints purple, paint a single nail glittery, and added green rhinestones. Now you may be asking yourself, “Why didn’t she say something if she wasn’t happy with his work?”. I did. He just continued, no matter what I said. He openly showed frustration when applying the rhinestones and quite honestly made me feel bad for even asking if I could have it done. I decided to try again today (maybe he was having a bad day). I had an appointment scheduled and after waiting over an hour for my scheduled appointment, I needed to find another salon that honors their scheduled appointments. On the plus side, I found an even better salon in Kent that I had no idea about!

Love this place! Yes you will have to wait at times, but thats because theyre good at what they do and its not easy to find a good salon in this area. Saturdays can be crazy and be prepared to wait. I moved to the Ravenna area about two years ago and visited many salons before finding Famous Nails. Very clean and pride in their work. An, Kim, Shawn are terrific.

I wasnt sure what to get when I went in, but the technicians are very friendly and helpful. I described what I wanted and got exactly that :)The wait wasnt long at all and the people are friendly with quality work.

I went in to just get my nails done and my wallet was stolen which had my car keys as well so I was stranded. There were only 4 customers in their during my visit and at least 5 workers. 50/50 chance it was an employee that took it. When I asked them to please review their video they said “we have no working cameras” so I called the cops to report it. When the cop asked them about reviewing video an employee said “we can check the camera”. What happened to not having a camera that worked? To me it seems sketchy that they’d lie to me, seems like they were protecting themselves. I will never return to this place. Plus my nail color didn’t even match what I picked out even remotely close, AND they still made me pay for it after my wallet was stolen and I had nothing on me but my phone.

UPDATE 3/25/21: Got a pedicure done by Rico. He cut two of my toes and another tech had to paint them. I was told I didn’t have to pay for the pedicure, then I was told I did have to pay. They gave me a $5 discount and I paid for a pedicure I hate. Standing up for myself was super uncomfortable and I will never put myself in that position at this place again. I love Ann, but I’m not going back.*****I got my nails done at a different salon and they were so bad. Ann did such a great job fixing them and was 100% honest with me about how the previous nail tech did them and explained every step. Definitely worth the wait!!

This was my first time going to Famous Nails, and I chose here based off of some referrals. Needless to say, I am disappointed. They do not post their prices within the shop, and now I see why. I got a fill on my acrylics, and it cost me $60. I would be okay with this price if they were anything spectacular, but they’re not. Granted I did upgrade to the chrome gel polish, but I think that to be charged that price is a little ridiculous. And I haven’t had them done for even 24 hours, and there’s scratches on the chrome that are visible. Certainly not worth the price.

I came here after sitting an hour at another shop watching people who came in after me get taken back. I wish I had come here first! The staff is friendly, service was quick, and my nails look great. I will definitely be going to Famous Nails from now on. I didn’t catch the name of the girl who worked on me, she was a little younger but a problem I’ve had in the past is the technician catching my cuticles with the drill and having sore fingers for days. This was not an issue this time!

I love this place! If you want good nails ask for Kim. She’s honestly so amazing. I’ve had Shawn and Nina, but they are not as good as Kim. She never fails to give me what I ask for!

Owner and Employees are Extremely professional. Wasnt 100 % sure on my hairstyle and look. So I gave them a General idea and they made my children look fabulous.

I bought my niece a gift card for Christmas and decided I would take her to get her nails done and get a pedicure myself. We waited for over an hour. They never informed anyone how long the wait would be. Im okay with waiting but I would like to have a time frame. Also, they did not display their pricing. They charged my 11 year old niece the same price as an adult for a manicure. I decided to get french tips on my toes and for some reason I was charged for extra french tips? Im not even sure what that means. I was never asked if this was OK or at least told it would be extra. Our nails look nice but I spent $115 and was there for 3 hours. Just not worth it.

Only took 1 hour for a full set of nails. Price is right

If you engage in conversation the techs will talk but plz remember that they want to concentrate on your nails. I went in for my nails and Im so happy. I told my artist that my nails are short and very thin but want stiletto acrylics. She went out of her way to perfect every nail to make sure they stay. Any other salon tear me up when doing my cuticles but here I barely felt it and they still look great. My nails came out so good and my service was so nice I even left a $15 tip. I am very happy with this salon

I had a terrible first experience with this nail shop hopefully the entire shop isn’t as inexperienced as the person who had done my nails. I paid almost 70 dollars for a long coffin set that had a terrible shape and broke easily.Within a week of getting my nails done two nails broke and when I went back to get them repaired and complained to the person who did my nails he responded by saying it was because they were so long and that had absolutely nothing to do with it the acrylic was so thin I literally broke my nail putting a sheet on my bed. While getting my two nails repaired the man was very aggressive and rushing because he wanted to get done so he could get a customer who needed a full set so instead of letting my acrylic dry he insisted on filing and ruined the nail and instead of starting over he filed the nail down to be way shorter than the others. I know y’all are wondering why I didn’t say anything but I was just so fed up that I just decided to take that L and leave but anyways fast forward to the day after getting the repair I broke three DIFFERENT nails and I currently have cracks in the sides of two more. In conclusion this is the worst full set I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve had many and I wasted my money and I refuse to ever go back to this nail shop.P.S. if you were wondering who did my nails it’s the man who sits closest to the sinks don’t go to him!

Took my daughter there to get her nails done. We arrived 10 min before they were to open at 10am (a Friday).... and there were already 4 people in there getting worked on? After waiting 45 min, the lady finished a brand new full set on my daughter in 20/25 min. Now 6 nails are already lifting after only having them on for 5 hours. She got super short, square acrylics with one plain color and they were 50 dollars. The employee was rude and barely even spoke to my daughter. I wish i had listened to some of these reviews. We will never go back!

I went there with my friend to get our nails done. I got gel polish and she got a full set of acrylic nails. Mine turned out fine, but when she was done her fingers were cut in multiple different places. Once we paid we both tipped on our credit cards and then left. Later that day they overcharged us both. They added to their tips from both of our credit cards without permission. Definitely will not be going back there.

Took my wife there and she loved the service. She loved the work they did on her nails and very friendly people there.

I used to pay 28 plus tax and loved the qork they did. The past few times the price is always different and i always get the same thing. Havent went in a while went today with no nails on and just got airbrush white tips and they charged me 40 before rip. Wont go back.thsy are robbing people.

I went in to get my feet and nails done lady did my feet 1st and felt so good and done great then did my nails and wow even better job she was really nice the next day I got out of bed and both my feet was hurting so bad by my heels and could hardly walk so hard my Hubby look and 2 deep crakes on both heels so she sanded down so much it cracked my feet Ill go their get my nails done but wont ever go their to get my feet done their any more

Im an asian and i had so bad experience today. I dont know her name, nvm but i felt so bad about her attitude towards me. I asked her for a design, which is very simple (consists of hearts and diamonds of poker and a small cross) but she seemed annoying. She didnt say anything while she was doing my nail, and she didnt even say how are you to me. haha :) .. ridiculous. After her drowing she never asked me if i satisty with it or is there anything that i want to fix more. And just finished it. Well, I actually asked her to fix a bit, but she looked VERY annoyed when I asked. Couldn’t even ask her to fix more! LOL BUT she looks very kind to “American” old women and white girls! :) She was a half hearted whole time ! will never come here for my nail ever again!
