Best. barber. Period.Haircut for two took 20 minutes all together. She doesnt secretly charge you for cream, gel and stuff like that like at some other big name stores. No big crowd. Lady was friggin awesome and friendly. Definitely a must for amazing haircuts for a fair price. Its perfect

My barber of 15 years decided to move to appointments only after COVID. I called twice to make an appt but had to schedule later in the week so I went looking for another barber. I walked into 5th Street Barber and my neighbor was waiting for a cut, too. Lisa was courteous and I enjoyed her blunt candor. Her price was less expensive than my other barber and to be candid I liked her cut better. Ill be back for the next 15 years!

I am from out of town and needed a cut prior to my return. I feel very lucky that 5th Street Barber shop was close to my hotel. There was a fancier shop down the road that wanted $35 for a military cut that I get. Lisa did it for $18 and it was Outstanding! I travel frequently and get a hair cut every two weeks so I use many different shops. I rarely take the time to write a review but this shop deserves it. Outstanding all the way around! Thank you!

Lisa has been my barber for well over 15 years and she is very easy to communicate with and knows her trade very well. I haven’t looked for another barber in all those years because I believe she is the best around and I love her small town atmosphere in her shop. Her skills are second to none and she charges a fair price for her haircuts. Also, you get a neck shave at the end of the cut with a nice warm towel to clean your neck followed by a neck and back massage by a massage machine. I feel pampered by the time I get outta there. It also doesn’t hurt that she tells great stories every time I visit.

Had a delightful Full Service cut, shave and beard trim with Lisa today. She listens well and the cut came out the way I wanted. The shave with hot towel treatment was heavenly. The beard got a very meticulous trim job, and she worked on it until I was happy. She worked on me for almost an hour, and I appreciated the attention to detail and the pleasant company. Quick clean cut, hot lather, and a straight razor for the finishing touches. If you dont give this place a try then you are truly missing out.

Moved to Katy from Louisiana in 2013. We struggled to find a barber shop near our house. I dont care for the mega chain places, I am not an executive and dont want to pretend to be one and pay $40 for a haircut.The biggest problem I found with the local mega chain places and the expensive fancy places is they cycle through hairstylists constantly so you never have the same person twice. The hairstylists are not barbers, they are typically women that just finished school and are cutting mens hair until they get a salon job. These women often use the clippers and the guide and dont BLEND your hair cut up the sides and into the top. So you get the weird chopped look or the Grace Jones box look on the sides of your head. A real barber will use the clippers with a comb and then use scissors with the comb to blend the sides to the top.The two barbers at 5th Street do a great job and always keep me entertained with their conversations and stories. Plus they BOTH use scissors to blend your hair correctly and give you a professional barbershop haircut for $15. You cant beat that.Dont let the little house fool you, this establishment is definitely one of the best of Katy

It took a serious amount of tact not to lose my mind when I saw my hair in the mirror. I even paid for it. Asked for a low fade combover, got an uneven high fade. After finding out Im a first responder and I was coming off shift, she decided this was a good time to inquire about disturbing calls. Hard pass. Do not attempt to contact me.

Got a haircut from Lisa a few months ago and she did an amazing job. However, I went back to the barbershop today and she wasn’t there. The man who cut my hair was an older gentleman who was condescending towards me when I asked to see my hair mid-haircut, because I could feel he was taking off more hair that if requested. He immediately denied my request and told me to wait until the end of the haircut. I noticed when I got home that he left me almost bald on the back of my head (he didn’t let me look at the back of my head when he was done). I was very dissatisfied with this haircut
