We have been going here for almost a year, it was close and I loved that we could check in ahead so I didn’t have to wait with my toddler. This last time was such a horrible experience I had to leave a review. The lady was rude the entire time and had a horrible attitude. She cut his hair uneven and it looks horrible. My toddler could have cut it better himself. I will not be returning.

I have my hair cut every two weeks by Maretta and have for the past 4 years. I would not recommend another stylist or establishment. The store in KATY is the one I frequent. Skilled labor is not cheap and cheap labor is not skilled. I hate a bad haircut and would rather have no haircut than a bad one. I have not had a bad haircut in 4 years thanks to Maretta.

Yan, my stylist is professional and always gives me a precision cut to fit my face. The shampoo is 5 min of bliss.The bad reviews I read about the Mom and her son and the bearded gentleman were not very objective. Perhaps if we took responsibility and read the website or asked questions, we would be less surprised by the new normal.I was asked to change my handkerchief for a mask too, but that is the business looking out for its clients.Shampoo is extra. I wonder if the mother was micromanaging the stylist the whole time. Maybe the mother needs to chill. Uneven cuts are sometimes on purpose depending on how the hair is going to be styled. Even a Master Barber I go to leaves my left side longer due to the way I comb my hair.

Before we even checked in we asked if someone specialized in curly hair. We were told yes. The haircut was HORRIBLE! It looked like something I did myself at home. My sons part was uneven and one side was longer than the other. Then she didnt even fix his hair and was going to send him out with dry frizzy hair! I had to ask her to wash it for fix it so he didnt look crazy when we left. I am extremely upset!!!! We shouldnt even have paid!!!

HAD hair to my shoulders.... funeral for my grandmother had me wanting to trim it... ask for a trim and absolutely messed my cut up!! Resulting in me leaving and having someone fix it... resulting in now having most my hair cut off, thanks.

Personally I recommend checking in online on their website, Im usually walking in and having little to no wait time doing so.Good service, and they record your preferences on your profile so they can do the same thing next time. Ive probably had my hair cut by 5 or so different girls over the last 3 years Ive been here and they were all spot on.

I love not having to wait in line. The online appointments make it easy. Tina and Muretta (sp) are definitely our go to stylist.

Went to get a haircut and beard trim. They wanted me to put on a surgical style mask because I guess my neck gaiter wasnt good enough. I was told they dont do beards company policy. I presume due to covid. Would love to give no stars but 1 will have to do. First time coming here and last time coming here. One more place never to give my business again even after COVID

Haircut was good but you pay for what you get. I have been just as happy with a $5 haircut. It was $52 for me and my son. I cant complain about the haircut, only the price. That included the tip.

I have been going to Sports Clips since they opened their location in Katy, Texas.I have always recieved excellent and high quality service. The stylists always greet you with a smile that can change any bad day into a good day.

I am a lady with a sporty lady cut. My last cut was at an expensive salon, costly and evidently complicated. I took my son to Sports Clips and just asked if they could possibly do a ladys undercut. Karla read me like a book and told me what she was going to do WITHOUT PICTURES and gave me the cut I wanted.

I always go to this location, personally I would recommend Monica, she is really good and detailed when is doing my fade cuts. Thank you Monica, amazing customer service and really good at haircuts. You’re awesome!!!

The lady, Stacey, who cut my sons hair completely butchered his scalp. Didnt notice it until we were home. I drive over an hour to come to this particular location, because I have always been pleased with the service. However, this last time was a complete bust. I dont know if I will ever return to this location. My poor son has to start school looking like this.

I tried to visit this location a couple weeks ago. I say tried because they wouldnt help me in. I am in a wheelchair. When I go places alone Ill call the places I shop to ask if theyll give me assistance with my wheelchair so I can go in. So I did this from the handicapped parking spot right in front of their door. I called and asked if someone could please come outside and help me with my chair so I could come in for a cut. The lady that answered said that they were too busy. I thought she didnt understand what I had said so I asked again. Im right out front in the handicapped parking spot and would like to come in and get my hair cut, but I need help with my wheelchair. Could someone please come help me real quick? She again said, Im sorry but we are really busy right now. I was flabbergasted. Nobody had ever denied me assistance before. This was a first in my five years of being in the chair. So I told her thanks anyway and went to the next closest place, Great Clips. They gladly helped me. So I went on Facebook and messaged Sports clips and they responded and said they would have the franchise owner get back to me. Ive now been waiting three weeks for a response. Sports clips has responded weekly as Ive messaged them again and again. But still nothing from the location. I guess this is to be expected. I know where Ill be going in the future. I also know where I will never go again.

I know there was a brief period of time a few months ago when their staff at the time was not up to par. However, I was there recently and they have a new staff that seems to know what theyre doing. Everyone was friendly and I was taken in pretty quickly, and the stylist (Monica) did a really great job. If you go in and your experience isnt so great for some reason, remember...you can attract more bees with honey than vinegar!God bless. -Isaiah 55:6.

I normally see my regular stylist at a different sports clips, however she wasn’t there and I needed a cut. I decided to bide my time and go to the closest one, this one, and will regret it. The general expirience and atmosphere was okay, which is why I give it a 2 instead of 1, but the haircut was just horrible. I stated I simply wanted a little clean around the sides and back, and bangs trimmed slightly. Wan, my stylist, barely spoke English (which normally I wouldn’t mind, but in this case it interfered with what it was I was trying to say I wanted) and suggested giving me a 6 on the sides and back. I rejected that that would be way too short however she INSISTED that I got a six because that “was what I had gotten before”. She was referring to the history of a cut on my receipt from six years ago. I rejected, however she just started shaving my head. The bangs cut was decent, but everything else was just atrocious. Even had a very noticeable line on the back of my neck that was clearly a mess up. When paying, she insisted I tipped, by saying to hit the tip button. I was able to figure out how not to tip on my own luckily. If you want a good haircut, a Walmart would be better.

Tina doesnt seem to understand the word trim. Its frustrating when you waited months to grow your sons hair only for someone to cut it really short (and a bad haircut at that) when all you asked is a trim. I even specifically said no more than half an inch off but she just went chop chop chop! She cut my sons bangs even though I never told her to. She could have at least asked first if I wanted bangs on him or not. After giving him a haircut, she would not even bother dry his hair or wipe off the hair on his neck. My son came out looking like a wet rat and itching his skin. I had to wipe all the hair off myself. He and his dad have been to this Sport Clips multiple times and this was the first time I asked for a refund. The manager would not refund me a dollar for the bad job one of their employees did on a customer. If you decide to get your haircut at this sports clip, stay away from Tina. She does not seem to understand a very simple instruction. Also, this place in general is just not very friendly with younger kids. My 5-year old has sensory issues and cries during a haircut. Hes not violent at all, doesnt hit or kick, not even scream. He just sits there and sobs and keeps saying Im done! But the 2 women who have done his hair at this Sports Clips (Tina and a Latina lady with blonde hair whose name I cant remember) were both rude to my son and looking annoyed the whole time.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I decided to give this place a second chance, and highly regret it. I send my son with his father and he comes home with uneven hair every time. His dad even said he asked the lady to fix it once before leaving. I could cut a straight line better than that.

Ive never had a bad Service..... Every one is friendly and when I walk in I am greeted everyone say hi welcome to sports clips. I normally buy a product called Clean Cut Mitch styling cream Clean Cut....that I have at my job For days I am running late and I can fix my hair at work looking Clean. I also buy a product called Gibs Bush Master Beard, Hair & tattoo oil that works great as well.... Services like I said is really great the Stylist are always friend they always ask if we are having the same haircut style we had before or do we prefer something else..

Totally rip off!!!.. I know, I am very mad at myself since I did not ask how much was the price!.. $20.00 for a regular haircut and when you pay, there is no other option other than giving EXTRA TIP. I couldnt chose NO TIP!.. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. the lady was nice, haircut was OK. but she was not cleaning my face during the entire haircut and my face was with small hair pieces, they dont have tool to clean the face with powder.. $25.00 end up paying

Terrible experience. Very disappointed in the service. First of all we normally wait quite some time, this is understandable for a salon. That’s why they have the check in and check our system. I took my almost 3 year old in right when the store opened, checked in and was behind an older gentleman. No biggie, we went and waited in the car for our appointment slot. We received a text message that it was time time come in. We get there and the stylist we selected is seating another person. I asked her WHY, what was going on we were NEXT on the schedule. She told me the client she was seating didn’t know how to log in correctly to the system and had a doctors appt to get to. Okay, honestly it was so frustrating. If we were going to have to wait 45-50 mins to be seen then please let us know from the beginning at 8:57 when we arrived, so we can determine if we would like to wait behind two people instead of one. ASK us if we’re willing to do a favor for you, and let the other customer go first. We were there and checked in first but she chose to see the other client because of his schedule and what he had to do. It completely wasted our morning and was a nightmare with a 3 year old in tow. I don’t recommend going to this location unless you have a lot of free time on your schedule and you don’t mind be skipped in line.

I tried to be nice, but it was the worst haircut Ive had in years. There was zero fade, and she argued that the fade was fine, it just needed to be blended - she didnt even understand what a fade was. My hair went from #2 shave to 3 inches, with zero fade in between. I almost had her shave it, and now, a few days later, I either need to have someone else fix it or have it shaved if they cant. She also wanted to leave the back longer than the front, so it could lay flat - it was almost like shes never cut mens hair before. All I needed her to do was copy the haircut I had previously, just shorter.

If you go here do not get your hair cut by Reagan she cut up the whole back of my head. I told her a mid to high fade 0-1-2 on the sides and she went 0 all the way up the side of my head with one motion and I had to let her finish, because the damage was already done.

Its overpriced, busy and sometimes they make you feel rushed. For a $20 haircut I expect a lot more. I can spend $6 more down the road and have an infinitely better experience from someone who actually cares how you end up looking.I guess its all about expectations. If you dont high high ones, youll walk out feeling ok.P.S. The girl that cut my hair on 5/26, was great. Friendly, decent haircut that almost made me feel like the $20 haircut was worth it. Have people who c as re about their job and youll get better results.

Walked in and set in a chair in less than the time I was able to unlock my phone. The cutter was very plesent and did exactly what I had asked her to do. In the end I had a bread haircut and she was even abke to trim my beard up and help make me look like less than a hobo

Giving a two for great customer service. My haircut was pretty bad. I picked Stacey because she had a nice haircut. When I asked if she’d done her own hair, she stated that she had actually gone to another barbershop but could in fact cut hair. That should have been my first clue not to sit in the chair. When she asked me what I wanted, I told her to taper the front about half an inch back and clean up the sides and back as well as edge me up. Which is all pretty basic to ask of a barber. I told her I wanted to keep my sideburns, and for her to square up my edges. Thought we were on the same page. Clue number two that this wasn’t going to go well was when she told me her clippers were on the fritz. The first pair sounded like they were going to die midhaircut, and the second pair were incredibly dull. She cut me in several places and even caught my ear. Once I was done I just wanted to get out of there. I was already late for a birthday party, and it had started raining. I never saw the back of my head, and without my glasses I thought the front was okay. I paid and left with the intention of never going back. Once I got in the car, my fiancé stated that it didn’t even look like I got a haircut. Then we noticed that my sides were very uneven. The worst part was how far back she pushed my taper. The first thing i did when i sat in the chair was stress how important it was that it was no more than half an inch. Looking at it now, it’s probably about 1.5 inches back. She never brushed me off like most barbers, and certainly didn’t rub me with any alcohol or anything. Overall, this was an awful experience. I considered calling up there and asking for someone different to fix it, or for a refund. If this is the kind of work they find to be acceptable, I’ll never go back to this location again. Complete waste of money.

I took my son and dropped him off here to get his hair cut. We got it cut by Liz and she was forcing my son to say yes ma’am and no ma’am and she was being rude about it. She cut my coupon off and she would not give it back as it had a coupon to Kravin which I love to go to and I lost a buy one get one free drink coupon and it made me very mad. I want my coupon back some how or I want you to give me my money back for the MVP haircut my son got yesterday and I want Liz to be fired or given training on how to handle kids. This must have been very humiliating for my son and he in 7th grade and no one is allowed to treat and talk to my son. My son scared didn’t tell her to do do a hard line on his hair and she did not even cut the back of his hair strait. FYI: my sons name is Abhishek. I would like to have an apology from Liz. I love this place and from now on I will get my hair cut by Gloria as she is 10 times better. I always did my hair cut with her and I will continue to do it with her and I would love to not have it cut by Liz anymore. Plz show her this review and I want her to learn from her mistakes. Liz don’t ever treat a kid the way you did to my son you are a stranger to us and do not have the right to make him treat you by saying yes ma’am and no ma’am you have no right to talk to me like this!

Would seriously rethink before I go there.. Registered - waited for nearly 30 mins only to find out name did not register.. They then put me up saying immediate - only after five mins to find that was moved by 30 mins.. A medium trim was not understood, went for scissors and the end result was not something that was too happy with.. Spent nearly 90 mins (60 of those waiting) for a haircut that was not really happy with as the stylist did not understand and I had to guide... On top of that, you pay 25 bucks! Wow... The one across the street next to Walmart; going back there the next time..

Horrible experience once again, its finalized that I will NEVER return to another over priced sports clips. $36 for two 12 year old boys! They cut my sons hair, but never cleaned off the remaining hairs, I had to go home break out the Clippers and clean it up. One of my sons suffers from Alopecia and the lady who was going to cut it did not even know what that was. How do you go through cosmo but no nothing about hair loss disorders. If you are up for a rip off then go for it, as for us, we will not be returning!

Just sat in this place with my nephew for 35 min... we were skipped over once and that was ok, then it happened again... when we were leaving 1 of the girls asked did we get skipped and I said yes.... she just stared at me.... nothing was said. im never going back how can these people treat customers like this

Another disapointing Sports Clips. I have had the displeasure of continued bad experiences at more than one location of the chain. I recently moved, and decided to give the chain another try in a different city. Bad move on my part. These places are king of wait times. I visited on a rainy day, early afternoon, with four people working and it still took a solid hour to get a simple mens haircut. I was even first in line! No one at these places is motivated to work. I would assume this is due to the no appointment, walk in only business model. But bottom line is the staff is lazy, and the cuts are high priced.
