I walked in with no idea other than to change my look and update my style. Chester exceeded my expectations and gave me and amazing new look! This was my first experience and that’s what it was an experience. Not only was the vibe great but Aneata, my hair stylist, was funny personable, and knew what she was doing with the clippers and scissors. I’ll definitely be back and will definitely look into their other services.

This is my go to self care place. As I like to get a straight razer shave and they always dona great job. I would like to that Alyssa and her staff for all of the great work and dedication to their customers.

My benchmark experience with Mia was awesome! The haircut was on point, I would recommend her to anyone looking for a solid stylist. She has a great personality and we chatted the whole time she’s very respectful and nice.

Nadia is amazing and the front staff is always friendly and many times even brings a cold water to my wife. However this is my PET PEEVE! The Benchmark area is supposed to be a quiet zone. My last several visits were horrible with too many people talking the entire time. If this does not improve I will be forced to go to the Sugar Land location.

She’s friendly, professional, and somehow remembers who you are (despite how many different clients she sees each day) and even picks up conversations from where they left off in the last visit. I used to go to this location weekly pre covid, I purchased a membership and enjoyed the service. However, that changed just about a year ago when I was a few minutes late to my appointment and was turned away at the door. Normally I would not be upset by this were it not for the fact that my stylist was 15 minutes late to my appointment the prior week. The lack of concern for peoples time is an issue. I decided to give this place another try since it is closer to my home than the other Boardroom. However, my first time back my stylist is at least 20 minutes late, I received no word from the front desk as to why it was taking so long. I left at 25 minutes because I refuse to wait any longer. This is a poorly managed establishment with a lack of concern for their customers time.

My son and I went to he Cinco Ranch/La Centers Boardroom for a rite of passage haircut and straight razor shave. Alyssa cut my boys hair and held the knife for my shave. Talk about good? Alyssa is amazing, talented and great to work with. Raquel cut my hair and was equal to the task as well. I couldnt be happier with the experience today. Im looking forward to coming back in the future.

I had been a long time loyal customer of Boardroom, actually ever since they opened in the Houston area. Although it is high priced, I justified the expense because of the great quality. Over the last year this fell off sharply due to high turnover. I had a handful of bad haircuts which from an organization that is structured as a high end mens salon you would think this problem would be recognized and corrected. I reached out to the owners directly with my concerns requesting some type of refund for what was remaining on my membership stating that Im just no longer satisfied. I let them know that it was basically a 50/50 shot I would have the same stylist or one that could provide a quality haircut from visit to visit and that just isnt acceptable for such an expensive service. Their response was that the contract is binding and any refund is against policy. This is poor customer service in my opinion. Sure I understand the contract, but given my loyalty over the years I expected better treatment. A partial refund wouldve been better than a slap in face. I would recommend looking elsewhere for this service!

I went in for an interview with Alissa and she wasnt ready for me when I got there on top of the fact she had on a short tight fit black dress and her being adistrict manager she wasnt setting an example for the rest of the staff. she also wasnt fully prepared at my interview and her excuses were shes still learning as district manager for 6 months now. I was a regular manager for a salon before and as a manager youll know how to conduct an interview! I feel like once she seen me face to face that I didnt fit their environment. Im new to TX from the East Coast . yet when I got the call for an interview I was asked if I had an model and if not shell have me one but to bring my tools in. I went prepared and she then mentioned to me at the end of Interview that shell call me back in as shes going to go on Facebook and get me a model. i called 1 week 1/3 later because I didnt here anything back...not even a sorry Ms. Crawford but we wont be needing you at this time. YOU SAY YOUR GOING TO DO SOMETHING THAN DO IT. And dont you know when I called today she was rude and unpleasant as if she didnt want to speak with me. I asked do you remember me because the vide was so blah over phone from her ...SO UNPROFESSIONAL! shes a district manager with poor quality for customer service and a representation of that business. all she had to do was be honest from the start instead of prolonging and losing to me as if Im stupid.

Welcome back from lockdown, Boardroom-Katy !It was great to get my first haircut in nearly three months. I hope I never have to wait so long again.For those that might have a health concern: the Boardroom has done a thorough job of protecting our health, including front door temperature screening as well as thorough sanitation. Oh what a relief!And yes, the stylist was superb with patient attention to detail...no hurry, no rush.

Great haircuts! If you live in the area and like to get your haircut every week the memberships are pretty spectacular. Really like that you can get in a few minutes before your haircut and grab a cold one and relax for a second. All of the staff has been very pleasant in my visits so far and have not recieved a bad cut yet.

I would love to give Boardroom 5 stars but I have been a customer for 3+ years now and the turnover of stylist will probably make this my last year. Of late I even had a back-up stylist chosen in case the original left and both are now gone. In trying to find a replacement I look at reviews, look for positive reference, I can not even do this because the reviews are mostly about stylist that are no longer there, yes the turnover is that bad. If you are like me and desire to stay with someone then this is not the place for you.

Love this place. Useful online scheduling (which they actually honor reservations unlike Sport Clips). Pleasant staff. Perfect haircut. Good ambiance. Basically, I have no complaints. It’s the only place I’ll go in Katy.

My stylist was great but front counter needs a lesson in manners. I had an appointment on a Sunday, my first time here. I was 5 mins late because I did not know I had to park in a garage. Front desk girl made it clear to me that I wasnt going to get the services I had the appointment for since I was 4minutes 35 seconds late. She also told me to use hand sanitizer, (understandable) except the next two customers were never told to use hand sanitizer. Um whatttt?? Did I look like i was on the deliverance?? I will be back since the stylist are super and cut your hair exactly how u ask.

My experience was a complete 180 from my previous experience. The staff was courteous professional and incredibly talented. I received the benchmark and it was fantastic. They took their time to discuss exactly the kind of haircut I wanted. They treated me like a VIP. It was a truly special experience especially since I was just getting a simple haircut. I booked online for the benchmark haircut and an express shave. Apparently another Andrew also booked for an express haircut. Nobody thought to check to make sure which Andrew was getting which haircut. So I realized too late that I was not getting the benchmark. I was getting the express cut. Unfortunately this is exactly why I go to this place that I can get the benchmark. So I was very disappointed. The receptionist was apologetic but recommended that I call after booking online to make sure I got the right thing. How is it my responsibility to confirm after Ive already made an appointment? also, after calling my name, nobody checked to make sure I was getting the correct haircut. Nobody asked me so youre here for the benchmark? Were doing the benchmark today? Nothing. They just started cutting. I didnt realize until it was too late and I wasnt getting a relaxing ham massage that this isnt what I had asked for. No attempt to make amends was made by anybody. No offer for a free upgrade for next time. No manager came out to talk to me and apologize. Nobody really seemed to concerned about it. They offered to let me go back in and finish my benchmark, but at that point Id already finished my haircut the whole point of it is that its a whole experience in one sitting. I didnt want to go back and just to get a ham massage. That all being said my shave went fantastic. James was amazing he did a clean and excellent shave. He did go in and tidy up the back of my neck because apparently whoever did my haircut didnt do a very good job at that. Overall very disappointed with the management of my day there. Not what I expect for the price that I pay. Ill probably be trying Tune Up for my next haircut.

I’ve been to several Boardrooms’ in the Houston area and they usually do a pretty good job and the Katy location is no different. The place was clean, a drink was offered to me and my stylist (I think her name was Yvonne) did a good job.

I love the environment here, and they give you a beer when you come in the door. This location was VERY accommodating with me missing appointments, and they still worked me in. All the staff was amazing and the cut was slick. Love it all here. I always go to one of these places when in town.

(Very Highly Recommend) I moved to Texas two years ago and I couldnt find a good barbershop anywhere around the Katy area so I was stuck going to sports clips for the us all boring haircut praying that the hairstylist didnt jack my haircut again but then I found the Boardroom Salon for men online. It was the best discovery that I have ever made. This was the best haircut that I have got! Very professional staff! I recommend you get a membership. DO NOT GET A SHAVE HERE. Worse shave I have ever gotten; got cut three times, and the angle she was shaving at was all wrong. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. I love getting a barber shave, but this is not the place to go. And it wasnt even a close shave!Edit: Id like to add when I was there, Id say 50% of the people there were boys 12 and under. Honestly, I just wanted a simple shave, but this place is more about aesthetic and making you feel pampered than actually providing you a good service. It caters to a weird crowd, I would avoid getting a haircut here.

The place has a good ambience. Much better than most other mens haircut places. The service is good and prompt. They offer you free drinks upon your arrival, from water to a beer. The haircuts include nice little additional services that just help you relax. Great overall

I really enjoyed going there, Dorthoy was the first person I got my haircut from. She did a good job on my hair but not so much with the beard trim. Ara was my next barber and he was fantastic. I left feeling clean and done up. His lines were tight and straight but unfortunately he left recently and I dont see me going back there without him honestly. Beer selection could be better too.

This is the finest haircutting establishment Ive ever been to. They take care of you from the moment you walk in the door, and it is a relaxing and smooth experience from start to finish. I wish the yearly membership plans were cheaper so I could afford them, but overall, this is an incredible place for a man to get his stuff looking good.

A very different and interesting experience. Some confusion upon arrival as it was first time. Tara/Tasha (sorry!) was stylist. Overall a very pleasant experience, but also kept me on the edge. Perhaps was attributable to first time, maybe beer would have helped.Not sure if will be back, but is worth a visit at least once.

I have been here a couple of times and have had my expectations blown both times. My first stylist Jo Ann gave me a very nice hair cut and beard trim for my wedding. My current stylist and I will be seeing her exclusively for haircuts here from now on is Michele. Michele is very nice, very friendly, and can hold a great conversation while tailoring your haircut to your specific wants. If you want a quality haircut or beard trim in the Katy area look no further, the Boardroom is where its at. If youre thinking their prices may be too high for you, give them a chance anyways and youll soon realize they provide a service you cant get anywhere else, especially not at any strip mall barber shop. Come for the cut, come for the experience, come to be pampered and you will wonder why you ever went anywhere else. Truly a fantastic experience all around. 10/10

Updated 7.28.18 - I am updating my initial one star review, which I have left in its entirety below after my most recent experience with the Boardroom.I was contacted by the manager who wanted to make things right for me after my initial experience, and was invited to come in and receive the services I had initially booked. I decided that I really had nothing to lose and we quickly found a convenient time for me to come in.When the time of my appointment came checking in was easy and I was quickly seated in a comfortable chair with a cold beer. My wait was not long at all, but I had time to relax and enjoy my drink, too.My head shave and neck trim was with Hannah, who was friendly and took the time to make sure that she knew exactly how I wanted things done. She made certain that I was comfortable, that the towels were not too hot, and she was very thorough.The Boardroom does have a premium price tag, but after actually experiencing it I do believe that the cost is justified because of the time that is taken and the effort that goes into making it a relaxing experience. I have amended my score to four stars. However, just as I thought it was important to preface my initial review by stating that I was basing my review on a system error and not the actual service received, I think it is important to explain the score I am giving.My actual review of the experience that I had with the staff, even when I was called in regard to the problem with my initial appointment, all the way through leaving after my appointment actually happened has been five star service. The staff is great, they are polite and welcoming, friendly, and definitely make the experience what it is. I booked about a week out and got my appointment email, and a few days later a confirmation e-mail and text, both of which I replied to.The day of my appointment I was called by a polite young woman who apologized and explained that the individual I was scheduled with was not actually able to perform the service I had booked (head shave). She did offer me a later appointment but I had a prior commitment and so I wound up cancelling the appointment. My limited interaction with this young woman was polite and she did seem sincerely apologetic. My score is based on the fact that, given the premium nature of this establishment, I find it very frustrating that the scheduling error happened in the first place and that it wasnt caught despite my confirming the appointment until the day of, preventing me from making other arrangements.

It’s nice to have a great Barbar shop at an area where you can eat, and meet up people after haircut. Service is very good here and the comp beverage while waiting is nice and thoughtful. Facility is clean and well kept. My experience here was great with traditional hot towel on the face while getting a rinse. If you really enjoy this place membership is highly recommended!

In December 2017 I decided to purchase an annual membership at the Boardroom and its been a great decision! The first time I went in I was scheduled with Sarah and she was great. She assured me that I would never walk out of the Boardroom with a bad haircut...and that has held true over and over again! To this day, Ive only gone to Sarah and she has always made the experience a good one. I look forward to my haircut and the whole experience that comes along with it each week I go. I will definitely renew my membership going forward!

This place was good when first opened. Now people treat you like they are doing you a favor when you walk in. Haircut is rushed and bad and very expensive. If only it was worth it... worst service and haircut I ever got.

They have a great marketing team, but when you get there, its obvious that theyre hiring barbers from sports clips and charging you boardroom prices. Skip this place and go to my favorite, Cutthroat on Washington Avenue. Alex just did an awesome job on my hair last week!

I have been a member for over two years mainly because of my stylist Sarah. Now, she isnt there anymore and I wonder what to do with my membership. They need to do a better job of understanding what the customers value. I would be canceling my membership.

It was my first visit and I purchased whatever their top line cut is. I came to find, however, that that if not what I got. I got the more basic one that is about $15 cheaper. I should have realized that and said something, but I didnt realize until later.I left feedback through two mechanisms: the survey they sent me and through the corporate website. I have not been contacted as a result of either. This is really why Im dinging them. You received negative feedback, reach out to me. That is poor customer service.

I was in a couple of days ago and was extremely impressed with the ambiance and customer service from the front desk employees. A very pleasant visit. I was disappointed with the end result of my beard and mustache trim. The employee that took care of me was extremely sweet and professional, however the barber skills necessary to accomplish what I was looking for was just not there. Boardroom at LaCennterra is hands down the best place to get a hair cut, shave or hair styles. Gentalman if your looking to do something nice for yourself or ladys if you want to do something nice for your man. Make an appointment at this location and you wont regret it. I got my hair done last Monday and Im still getting compliment s. I got two today one by my boss who made is appointment for Friday and another by a Hot girl in the gym this morning. O... Yes I got her number. Thank you Natasha! If you need a stylist ask for Natasha if you just need a Barber then ask for Hannah. They are always on the game. Clean place with kind staff. The place smells nice. Great place for men to get their hair cut. Upscale, but very relaxing.

Ive been coming here for some time and both the experience and the outcome (ie, the actual haircut) are always great. My small complaint might be that sometimes the music they play seems chosen more for the entertainment of the staff than the comfort of the patrons and is louder than it needs to be, but maybe Im just getting old. Sure, you can get cheaper cuts at the mall, but I think the process and the skill of the barbers at Boardroom is more than worth it.

Meh. While I appreciated the added services (hand wax & massage, etc), what I really wanted was a great haircut and neck trim. Both were sub-par. I was looking for a precision fade undercut. Didnt find it here. The neck trim was also mediocre (not close) - and crooked. Guys can do without all the fluff but that cut needs to be on point. Staff was great though, so gave an extra star for that. Otherwise ⭐⭐...

Really nice salon for my son’s hair cuts. However parking has become untenable with the construction and their prices are way higher than Sport Clips where we get an equally good cut.

Came in at 4:35 for a basic haircut. I was told they close at 5. I said ok... its not 5.I walked away because they wouldnt accept my walk in. I am a repeat customer and that was never an issue.I didnt want to force fitting me into their eager to go home schedule because I dont want to walk out with a rushed haircut. Going on vacation and must have a good haircut.

Wow, $100 for a haircut and shave! Shave was horrible, got closer shaves with a 20 cent Bic razor. Haircut is a slight notch above Supercuts. Yes they treat you nice but tip the gal at supercuts 90 bucks and shell be nice to you too. Waste of money and time. The beer was nice. But not worth a hundred bucks.If this was a $25 service, I would be happy. But my bill was over $100 for haircut, shave and hand massage. I got better cuts at Supercuts.
