I have only lived here a few months but so far so good . The only things I’ve really had a issue with it parking it’s not enough space and I hate the trash cans being so close because raccoons be running under cars

They have a big sign saying leasing now! I go in and immediately told we have no openings. She didnt ask when I was moving or anything, I ask can I see a model, we have no models! SMH and I just turned and walked out! They took no time to even ask when I was moving or anything. Work on your customer service please.

Overall this is a decent place to live in my opinion. It is pet friendly and I love that! It’s in a good location right by 435 and close to many different outing areas. The actual apartments are well kept. There was certain things I was looking for which included a washer and dryer hook up, dishwasher and had to have a balcony. The only complaint I’d really have is parking. I feel like I’m always fighting for a spot. It’d be nice to have numbered parking. Management is good and maintenance is nice. So far all the residents iv met are friendly and keep to their selves.

I recently moved into The Retreat at Woodlands. Maggie was my agent during the entire process. She was very friendly, helpful and prompt. Maggie took all the stress away that comes with moving.The apartment is very nice and gives you an escape from the city while still being in the city. Plenty of parking and the complex is well lit at night. Overall I am very pleased with everything.I highly recommend you checking it out!!!

The complex is pet friendly and for the most part quiet. A very nice swimming pool and plenty of parking. Very well kept and has the best maintenance man ever. Very friendly and gets the job done right away. Ive been here 5 years and the only complaint I have its a bit pricey, but so are a lot of other places that are comparable.

Great environment to live you have Price chopper near 103rd St. there’s banks. We have a great community pool we have an excellent emergency maintenance line. Excellent rent prices. Located near an excellent school District.

My girlfriend and I moved here a couple of months ago and I’ve been nothing short of amazed with everything so far. Maggie is great about following up with you if you have a concern and maintenance here is bar none the best I’ve ever seen. They get to trouble tickets quickly and actually fix the issues. I’ve lived in other apartment complexes where management is difficult to get a hold of and even getting something as critical as heat fixed was like pulling teeth. I have already recommended this complex to a couple of people looking for a new place to live.

I have been at athe retreat at the Woodlands since April and absolutely love it here! It’s quiet, private, and always have a very speedy response from the leasing office staff and maintenance staff.It’s right off the highway and easy to get to anywhere in the city. There is plentiful food, gas and grocery options all within blocks!I have a large dog which makes finding a place to live not easy. It was a pleasant surprise to find somewhere that accommodates my dog and is a pleasure to love at.It’s been wonderful to find a place that not only loves me but my dog too!

We have lived at the Retreat at Woodlands for almost 5 years and we have no complaints. From the private wooded view and the grassy area off our patio, to the responsiveness of the team, we absolutely love it here!

I love living here. Its a good location to live in Kansas City. Everything is less than a 20 minute drive away.

Im so glad we were able to find this apartment complex. It has been quiet and the maintenance has been wonderful to not only myself and boyfriend, but seem to genuinely love our dog as well.

This is the most unprofessional management I have ever dealt with while living in apartments. There has been so many break-ins to the same tenantsMULTIPLE TIMES!!!!! When you go to the leasing office and ask Maggie or Laura they will LIE and say nothing has never happened on this property. I personally know 5 different people who had their car broken into and management still won’t put up security cameras. One tenant had to PROTEST to try and get her daughter out of her lease but that still didn’t work. They gave another neighbor a 10-day vacate after they expressed they filled unsafe in their apartment and were telling other neighbors what was going on!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE PLEASE IT IS NOT SAFE!!! And management is shady and will not give your security deposit back. After your first month rent you will get EXTRA charges and your rent will be $200 more!!!!! RUNNNNNNNNNNN

I signed my 3rd lease in June...I like it because it is peaceful and I do not have any issues. maintenance is great(love Emilio) and it is an all around nice complex. right off the highway and by a lot of places...update 9/27/18:i lived in this complex for almost 6 years. the best part of the complex is Emilio because he is a superb maintenance person. they would not give me a discount to move into a 2br at all even though i was a good tenant. they also charged me $200 when i moved out . i cleaned that apartment pretty much spotless and even rented a carpet cleaner and they still charged me $200 smh. on top of that, it has been LESS THAN 3 MONTHS since i moved and due to medical bills and such i have not paid that bill but planned to before the winter hit. guess what they did? sent my bill to collections. that is piss poor treatment towards people. i would not recommend this place to anyone as they are overpriced with no amenities. the pool is SMALL, there is no gym, you pay every bill known to man kind and they can be rude in their emails when you inquiry about stuff. glad to be gone

Not a place that I would recommend. After paying them upfront all the rent though the end of my contract they still wanted to come back and charge extra fees. Overpriced and petty I strongly recommend avoiding these people.

As a resident of this apartment complex, I am very frustrated with management and very concerned for safety. We have filed two police reports in the past two weeks, one for theft of auto plates, the 2nd for the theft of our vehicle. Yes, one week ago today, our vehicle was stolen from the apartment complex! Management was notified the next day along with several follow ups about alerting other residents. To date there has been no notification to other residents about our vehicle theft, no alert to be on the watch or to take extra precautions! What other crimes have occurred at the Retreat at Woodlands KC that residents have not been alerted?! When I asked why there had been no email sent to residents regarding our vehicle theft, the response was that they were working on it, but they didn’t want to create a “panic!” What??!!They have expressed absolutely no concern for our safety as a resident and have offered no solutions for remedying the situation.Horrible parking facilities! Residents often must park in the street or in the next cul-de-sac as the parking lots are filled with “guests.” What kind of place cannot even provide or assure a single parking spot for their residents at their own apartment! If car theft is occurring here, what else is happening?? Where is the concern from management for the safety of their residents??

I have lived here my whole life and the management is amazing, very cozy home, and its just a wonderful place to be and to bring your friends.

#TRUTHGonna get to the bottom of the facts and let you decide from there if you want to make Madison your next homeSo Im only going to address the offers from the property b/c experience no matter where you live varies, so lets get into it.On the home page you will see AMENITIES, allow me to explain all the AMENITIES to you.I cant address the 2015 SatisFacts Survey b/c I havent heard of that being that I lived at Madison 3yrs.24 hr maintenance is true however you will not who is going to show up to your apt b/c its NOT going to be your usual maintenance guy for the property.Parking is NOT abundant...you will find yourself parking far from your building.Business Center is accurate as well as Carports but the carports are not free,...its included in your monthly rent.Clubhouse, courtesy package receiving, high speed internet, less than 1 mile to I-435, less than 2 miles to St.Joseph Medical, less than 4 miles to Towne Center Plaza, and flexible lease terms is accurate but the flexible lease terms DO come with an EXPENSIVE price tag.Magnificent Wooded views is accurate as well as long as you want to continue to clean raccoon feces from your deck throughout the year.Online payment options is very discouraging b/c if you pay online with your cc/ debit card you have to pay roughly $30 just to pay your rent online. Heads up...if you have recurring payments each month when you move out you will be charged full months rents instead of pro-rated rent...DO NOT SET UP RECURRING PAYMENTS!Madison is pet friendly but the ppl who have pets are very NASTY and GROSS. Madison has a bark park but ppl do not use it. You will find doggie feces all over the property; by your car, on the walkway and guess what MGMT does NOTHING about it so do not think about addressing this concern.Picnic area is accurate but very very very small...The pool is not private. Youll find ppl who do not live at the property who bring their family and friends to the pool and its VERY small so dont bother trying to get in the pool if you dont make it to the pool first. O and this is the same with the trash too. You will pay for trash monthly and you will see ppl coming to dump their trash at the property.Experience varies so I will not address anything regarding the mgmt team.Havent seen a recycling center nor a sundeck/lounge area.Madison Woodlands DOES NOT have a gym AND if you renew your lease look forward to paying an increase of $25+ monthly AND with this increase you will NEVER see where this money is going b/c nothing changes here unless someone is moving in or out so that leaves me to believe the increased rent goes towards paying higher salaries to corporate.The choice to make Madison your next home is yours.

This place will charge you a unbelievable amount of money when you move out. Good luck if you move in.

They dont pay or communicate with the contractor that fixes their major underground lighting issues outside.

This is the worst apartment complex to call home. They will charge you fees and not explain why. Management here is so rude and when you ask to speak with someone higher they take your number and no one returns your call. Spider spider and more spiders that they never get rid of.
