The only issue i have is with the pool and the gym. Every other communitys pool is open except this one. I havent seen any other pools closed anywhere. Even Oceans of fun is open. Same goes for the gym. It should be limited to adults and used at your own risk but it should be open. All other gyms lifted all restrictions. The cost to maintain these areas is included in the rent. If they arent going to be available then it needs to be reflected in the monthly rent.
I LOVE Carrington Place! The staff, the parking, the apartment itself, the speed their of maintenance team, the proximity to everything near Liberty, MO - everything is great! I’ve even referred 2 people to Carrington & they both moved in, too! Overall amazing apartment community. 10/10. I will definitely be renewing (:
I loved living here but i mii oh well to Florida where it’s warm. Close to everything. I had really nice neighbors. Maintenance responded quickly. Very clean apartments, very quiet, close to everything and neighbors were nice. My apartment was on the first floor and a bit cold. Maintenance fixed the weather stripping but still had air and it was hard to get hear to the front bedroom even after we tried adjusting the vents. However it faced the north. That’s really the only issue i had. I love being able to park close or next to the front door. Having the private entrance was nice. Lots of walking area around. Nice neighborhood.
I have been living here per more then a year, and the management is wonderful. The office people is always helpful and the maintenance guys ready to fix promptly the work orders I placed. I only have good comments for this apartment complex.
Worse apartments I’ve Ever DoorDash in.Never again !8711 on one side 1900 apartments the other side same street .Not in order whatsoever.!!!I’ve Dash here a few times & all residence outside don’t even know where certain buildings are at themselves. Not in Order !
I, too, have fallen victim to exuberant fees associated with my pet. Non existent costly damages that were unwarranted. Apparently apartments use this tactic to exhort extra money atop the pet fees, deposit and rents. If it’s not this, it’s a burned out bulb, a dusty ceiling fan. I’ve never received my deposit (s) upon my departure.
I have had the most pleasant experience with the office staff... they know me by name, always say hello if they see me out at the pool etc. Today was the icing on the cake for me..... my ac went out... I put in a work order on line and within less than an hour maintenance arrived with a portable unit to cool it off until they can get the main unit fixed!!!!
I am shocked at all of the bad reviews for this complex. I lived there for 2 1/2 years and had no issues at all. The office staff was wonderful and always greeted me by name. Any time I had a maintenance issue (which was maybe 3 times) they always addressed it immediately. I just recommended this complex to a coworker.
We moved here from out of state a year ago. We couldn’t be happier and we recently renewed our lease for another year. The community and property is awesome, zero problems. The entire staff from the leasing office to property maintenance has been awesome and extremely helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to live.
If I could give no stars I would. Read through all the reviews there is a common problem with charges at move out with the carpets. When we first moved in things seemed great and we even had brand new carpet. We had the carpets cleaned when we renewed our lease for 6 more months. When our lease was up we cleaned the place and had the carpets cleaned again. The walk through went great and when we received our final paperwork they wanted us to pay an additional $1250 on top of the $875 deposit we paid when we moved in They said they needed to replace the carpets due to our dog. That is $2125 for apartment grade carpet with padding. There is NO WAY it cost that much for a 900 sq foot area.We fought this but it got us no where. We asked to see the carpet and wanted proof that the carpets had to be replaced but were not allowed to. They have an outside agency tell them if they need new carpet they dont even go look at it themselves but refused to let us look at it. We lived there for 1 year and had maintance in and out of our apartment and there was never a problem with a urine smell Our dog was potty trained and in her kennel when we were not home. DO NOT rent from this place. Alex and Ryan in the office are super nice and easy to work with but Tricia is not and The office manager never responses back to emails. I have lived at several different apartment complexes or rental properties and have never not received a deposit back much less paid additional money. This place will screw you out of money and there is nothing you can do but pay them or be sent to collections/attorney.
I have been here a little over a month and love it. For the most part, it is very quiet. I do not hear neighbors except for the occasional opening of the garage doors below my apartment but, that is much better than hearing Tvs, showers, loud talking, etc. The staff has been great and informative, maintenance is friendly and quick! If youre thinking about this complex, give it and shot and check them out. You wont be disappointed. :)Edit: think again before renting from here.
My wife and I have been at these apartments for two years and we were new to the area. We could not have had a better experience. The amenities are great, and we love the pool and gym. The only downside is the trash situation, but even that is better than our previous apartments. The maintenance staff is great; they replaced our ceiling fan for free and help with any problem quickly. We never get bugs, and all the residents are nice. We forget we have neighbors because they are so quiet. It is expensive, but definitely you get what you pay for.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I havent even moved to Kansas City and this apartment community has left a horrible taste in my mouth. The leasing company is the most untrustworthy group of liars I have ever encountered. I have never in my life had more games played when trying to rent an apartment. I was lied to about the amount that the apartment would cost, and the specials, which are also online. When I went to apply online the amount was $50 more expensive than quoted over the phone. After much turmoil over the rental application I was never properly approved with the corrected amount in writing. When I called to ask about the approval I was met with such an attitude and no management ever seemed to be around. As of today they are refusing refund my $150 hold fee, even though I am not going to be moving into these apartments. I hope and pray that someone reads this and decides not to live here there is a reason for the poor google reviews.
When we first moved in everything seemed point blank and straight up. Almost a year later our rent price has changed 3 times, maintenance takes FOREVER to fix anything. Cant even get my car out of my garage because the door is broken and they still have not come. This place is a rip off and I cant wait to get out of here. Do not give this place a chance. They are money hungry and do not care about their residents at all.
I wish there is an option for Zero star. You will hear a lot of good words when you move in, but move-out experience would be terrible. The place is dirty with dog poops everywhere. Complained about a noisy upper floor neighbor several times without any result. Was charged not a lot of stuff that we were not responsible for. I wish I did not rent this place.
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. This place is trash, the staff is trash and it shouldnt be in business. Actually, it would not be in business if they didnt charge their residents unheard of move out fees such as cleaning AND replacing a carpet that can add up to 1,000s of dollars. But dont worry they didnt charge you more than they could have... I could go on all day, but please if you are reading this, DO NOT move into this apartment complex. Youll thank me later.
Can you give zero stars? 1) this apartment used to have a much lower rating on google, it seems they have some deleted the negative reviews.2) The management of this place is terrible, getting the simplest task done takes an act of congress. And every time they hide behind something like Well it is Sentinel policy that... blah blah blah. 3) Trash and mail, the dumpster is always over flowing and the mail boxes are often left open. 4) There are much nicer, similarly priced apartments in the area.
Lived there for 7.5 years. The first 7 years were great, they even put in new carpet in our unit at the lease renewal in 2015. When the new property manager interaction was a night mare. Still unresolved. Great Apartment, miss it, dont miss the management team. The way they conducted business with us was extremely questionable, and in some cases outright dishonest. No one, all the way to the Asset Manager overseeing all KC properties would respond to issues and no one did anything to de-escalate or resolve their mistakes. The lessee my 87 year old mother was sent a nearly $3,000 move out bill for damages. Why? Ask the property manager. No walk through was offered, no conversation about the condition at move out occurred., no documentation, just a bill. Requests for supporting documentation were eventually delivered and included fictitious estimates and conclusions, and photos of damaged appliances covered with dirt. Our apartment was cleaned professionally and personally at our expense prior to the move out. Our dishwasher didnt have a scratch or a thumbprint let alone a smashed in front plate where the open close handle is at the top. And yes I have a picture of the real dishwasher at move out. I could go on and on, but you have the picture. One star is too high. We expect resolution. We continue to wait as of the date of this review.
This place is a disaster. The management is horrendous. 7 years ago when it was new, it was luxurious. These days, the trash doesnt even get picked up on a regular basis and the apartment management blame the residents for not keeping the trash in their own apartment when the trash compactor is overflowing.RENT EXPENSIVENOT WORTH WHAT YOU GETMAINTENANCE TAKES WEEKS TO FIX ANYTHINGDONT COME HERE
Lived here 7.5 years. I paid carrington place over $113,000 during that time. Moved out March 29, 2019. My advice to everyone considering moving here...go look at the brand new beautiful apts across I-35 on the Liberty side. NO kcmo earnings tax. They allow adult residents who pay alot to have alcohol at their pool. And they are the original owners of Carrington Place. I left my 3 bed apt immaculate 11 days early and carrington still billed me $384 for painting garage and entry way. Beware, they are deceptive and rude.8/16/20 they sent the $384 to collections. will NEVER pay it. Just got a new car. ZERO effect.
During my 8 month stay (signed short term lease up front house hunting) I learned a lot about apartment life. We had no issues with the Management staff or with Maintenance. Our Maintenance issues were all minor ones. However, if you have pets I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. You will have to pay at least a $300 non refundable deposit upfront. You will also pay monthly because you have pets. Then when you move out they will keep your deposit saying they damage the carpet. (I have 2 declawed cats). Make sure that you get the report from the independent inspection from when the previous owners moved out. After you move out they will have a so called independent party inspect the apartment. You are subject to what ever they find or say they find. There is no proof, you are not there as you have moved out. You also need to know if they just installed new carpet in the apartment or not. Dont take their word for it. They dont take yours. There is no trust here only documented proof. Make them show you a receipt with date of installation. You are paying the bill!!! If they dont show you or try to hide things from you MOVE ON The apartment appears to be very nice. However, the materials are all very cheap. The appliances are all low end as well. You are paying a hefty price and go through a rigorous background check to get in. We also paid an extra for short term. They found every way possible to charge me more. Oh! my 2 declawed cats cost my $740 for the seven and a half months we were in the apartment. We paid extra for a 2 car garage that wasnt big enough to park my truck in. However, for storage it isnt a bad option. I personally will not ever rent from Carrington Place at Shoal Creek again.
They deserve less than 1 Star! They will steal your money!
I saw this place and was ready to apply.. but then I saw everyones reviews and you guys saved me time and a headache.. just writing to say Thanks!
Well we stayed here for 2 years and recently moved out of state, upon our move out inspection we got the list of things we have to pay for like the damages and when we left our carpet was totally clean like brand new, not even a single stain and after a month they sent us the bill equal To one month rent and upon calling several times finally they said we have to replace the carpet for the new renters even though it is in great condition, it makes no sense at all, we were shocked as its a total rip off, more over we are not there to see actually its being replaced or not, no carpet needs to be changed until in terrible condition within 2 years, please stay away from carrington place at shoal creek apartment homes as the new management is a totally rip off, will never and ever recommend anyone to these apartments as in the lease also it never said that you have to pay for the carpet even if its not in bad condition, they charged us equal to 1 month rent only for the carpet, horrible staff/ management please please stay away if you dont want to pay for nothing at the end.we gave 20 days rent also and stayed for 2 days and no consideration from their side and they never refunded our 18 days rent and to make things worst we have to pay unwingly for the carpet as they have our social.
Mangement is rude and takes advantage or single moms and older ladies.
Horrible place staff and management are horrible bugs and more
Staff is thrash arron never comes to work would not live here
Looking for apartment, rent of this place is ridiculous expensive
