We have been residents at Carrington Park for 4 years now and have really enjoyed the apartment. The property is quiet and feels very homey. The amount of space we have is fantastic. If ever we have a maintenance issue, the team is quick to respond and fix it and follow up.Ashley in the front office is great to work with. She is very attentive and personable. She provided great support recently when we had an issue with a neighbor and does everything she can to make sure our need are met.
Weve been living at Carrington Park for three years and weve had a couple of complaints but not many. However, the complaints has always been about our neighbors.Anytime we have an issue with appliances, the maintenance crew typically response rather quickly.Ashley at the front desk is a great asset to the team. She makes our stay at Carrington Park worth living. Shes attentive, great listener, and always has a solution in mind.I highly recommend Carrington Park!
I love Carrington Park Apartments. Ashley in the office is professional and responsive to inquiries. She is also friendly and knowledgeable about the options and is kind enough to walk you though the leasing/renewal process even when I have lots of questions. The maintenance is also excellent. I had an issue with the A/C not cooling and they promptly fixed the issue. The property is beautiful and quiet. I work remotely now and it so nice to have a wonderful environment to work in.
I lived in CP for a year. The neighborhood was quiet, the neighbors friendly & I felt safe coming home each night. Ashley Lopez always was very helpful in answering any questions I had & always went above & beyond to help if something went wrong. Bailey was friendly also & always made me feel welcome. Whether it’s short term or long, Carrington is a unique community I feel checks most of the boxes someone would look for in a place. I was happy with my stay.
I absolutely love living here! My apartment is beautiful, the staff are extremely kind, and the grounds are beautiful!
We have lived at Carrington Park for about 2 years now. We love it here and the area is very nice and quiet. The school district is also very good. The elementary and middle school are basically across the street from the apartment complex. The shopping center Zona Rosa is very close, about 3 miles away. We have only ever had good experiences with staff and maintenance. I’ve only had one complaint about a upstairs neighbor and staff resolved it very quickly. Ashley Lopez has always responded in a timely manner to any of my emails. She is very nice and caring, and gets things done for you very quickly. Highly recommend these apartments.
Safe and peaceful location for all! The management staff is responsive and friendly. Moved in over a year ago and can say we have had no issues and have made many new friends. Apartments are well maintained with an easy open floor plan and a fabulous walking trail. Easy access to all shopping and restaurants with sightings of friendly deer daily!
I love living here! The office staff is always super friendly and helpful with any issues or concerns. Maintenance is very speedy. Such a cool place to live at a very reasonable price!
Called a multitude of times to the office for things like the previous resident left an old sectional right outside my door 2 weeks later and its still sitting there. I also had Google fiber call them every day for a week because the previous resident ruined the fiber cable and they needed permission from the office to fix it and further investigate to make sure there werent other issues they refused to call back or even answer their phone. Once they have their deposit forget about having anyone take care of you or returning your calls its not only frustrating but its down right infuriating that you have to walk to the office and hold their hand to get them to do anything
I have stayed at many of the Northland apartments over the years and I got to say I regret not finding Carrington Park sooner. I had a three bedroom, two bath. We had huge walk in closets in each room, a soaking tub in the master bath and an big guest bathroom as well. I love the layout so much and the kitchen area is just perfect with the raised bar. The entire time I was there the staff was super kind and nice, anytime we had a maintenance issue it was fixed right away and they are great at communication there. The community is also super safe and the trails are beautiful for walks. This is the best apartment complex in KC and it is a steal at the price it is at. If you get a chance to move in, take it. It feels like home.
Baili was absolutely amazing, super helpful and knowledgable, definitely considering moving here
I recently visited Carrington park looking for an apartment. The office staff was very helpful. Ashley toured us and she was very knowledgeable about the property and was happy to answer all of our questions. The apartments are very spacious and we really liked the view of the woods through the window. I plan on putting in an application this week!
All they care about is money. They do not care about the people that live there. Do not expect them to answer the phone.
I have lived here for 3 years. I love the area and the fact that it is quiet and peaceful. The office staff is definitely one of the main reasons I continue to renew my lease! They take care of their residents, and are so friendly when I come into the office. Maintenance gets things taken care of in a timely fashion as well!
We moved in here from out of state. We accomplished everything thru the website and online portal. EVERYTHING and EVERYONE was professional, courteous, and understanding. We have found zero misrepresentations. After almost a month onsite, alongside its outstanding locale, this was the correct choice to live and enjoy everything Kanas City has to offer.
I have lived at Carrington Park for the last 2 years, but Im getting ready to move into my new home. My time at Carrington Park has been amazing. Liz and the other office staff are awesome. The apartments are large and reasonable, with updated everything!! I would highly recommend Carrington Park to anyone who is looking for an apartment!! Best apartment living experience Ive ever had!!
I’ve lived in a few apartments but I don’t usually write reviews just because no apartments are perfect. However, multiple things happened during my stay at Carrington Park that I feel like I need to warn anyone out there who are interested in renting this place.1. Like many others have mentioned, communication is the key problem here. Staff working at the leasing office was very friendly and responsive when I showed interest in renting. But, things changed completely after I moved in. It took average 5 calls to get hold of anyone. Don’t anticipate an answer in 2 business days even if it’s an emergency. My rent was calculated wrong somehow by the staff and a late fee was applied to my account without any notification until I find out 1 month later by myself. Even after I notified the staff about the mistake, they still didn’t correct it for 2 months until I called again and finally got to speak with the regional manager.2. Don’t be fooled by ‘luxury’. This apartment complex looks great from outside and it is very spacious (1100sqft for 2b2b). The amenities inside are great. However, after living here for about 8 months, I can really feel the poor quality of the building. First, many of the buildings have siding issues (maintenance staff said so himself), which means leaks on the ceiling and walls whenever it rains sideways. I woke up 5am in the morning with water dripping on my face and my bed soaking wet. Only after I called multiple times, a maintenance staff finally showed up and all he did was looking at the leak and told me ‘yes, this looks like a leak’. Two months passed, I heard nothing from them other than the one time I called and they said they are working on it. I had to sleep in my living room recently because it leaked again due to the rain. Not sure when I will be able to move back to my own bedroom. Second, the walls are actually super thin, thinner than the previous apartment I lived where I pay half of the price right now. I can hear every single conversation my neighbors had and every single footsteps of my upstairs neighbors. I complained to the staff at the office multiple times about the loud noise my upstairs neighbors make all the time (they jump on the floor so hard that my ceiling lights went off and the fan was shaking), they said they’ve talked with my neighbors but I’m sitting here in my apartment, 8 months later, watching my ceiling fan shaking like it’s in a earthquake because of my upstairs neighbors. So, if you are not on the top floor, good luck.3. Unreasonable fees. Monthly, tenants are charged different type of fees including trash and pest control. The dumpster is right in front of my building, and I rarely see the surrounding areas clean. There are always large furniture piling up next to the dumpster that blocks the entire side walk. I’ve only seen pest control coming into my apartment once during my 8-month stay. My roommate had those weird bugs coming into her bedroom through the window while she’s asleep (she kept her windows closed all the time and no lights on at night) and woke up in the middle of the night with bugs crawling on her bed. Maintenance came two times but didn’t solve the problem so my roommate had to deal with those bugs for more than a week. So I’m not sure what all those fees are for.I’ve never had a good sleep since the first day I moved in. I had to spend a few weekends at my friend’s place in order to catch up with my sleep. I just can’t wait to move out once my lease comes up. So if you are interested in renting this place, think twice and make sure you read all the reviews, good or bad.
This is where I live! Lived here for 5 years! (2 different apartments) Live in the last now. Found water on the floor in front of the refrigerator. Thought it was an ice cube that melted. Cleaned it up, went to bed. In the morning, water was there again! Thought water coming from air conditioning unit. Sent maintenance notice with the this is urgent. They came by in about 3 minutes had a handy device to clear the drain tube. Worked like magic and line cleared! No more water in front of the refrigerator!
Ashley was very helpful getting me into my apartment and with any needs I needed. Very nice, professional and helpful. I would recommend Carrington Park Apartments.
Updated... Based on recent improvements.I had some communication issues with Ashley Lopez. At the beginning of last year she was very friendly and just eager to help, very responsive with emails and phone calls etc. Towards the end of last year and this year I had not received replies to emails at least within three days which I think its fair for receiving a reply or a phone call for that matter. However, she recently reached out and apologized and replied to my emails. She was very friendly and accommodating to my concerns which I greatly appreciate. She could have been rude because of the negative feedback on this review but instead she took it as constructive feedback and a reason for her to improve and provided me with information such as being understaffed which I completely understand. I am happy that we can rebuild our staff and resident relationship moving forward. We live on terrace level. The door to the back patio leads down to one of the sidewalk trails but to get to that there is grass somewhat of a slope, anytime that it rains or after snow melts the grass it gets very spongy and in spots where theres no grass it gets very muddy and slick! You have to be very cautious or you will fall! Living on the terrace level means you get to hear the flushing and bath/shower water draining. You can hear anytime anyone flushes their toilet or is taking a shower, basically anytime water is going down the pipes there is a crashing or water noise. It sounds as if its hitting on the ceiling above you, quite unpleasant. Maybe its normal here but I have never experienced such thing in a home or apartment elsewhere.Maintenance has improved since I wrote this review. Austyn did a repair today (3/3/21) and he did a great job, Im happy with his work. He called before arriving and was very friendly.Last but not least, watch out if you are walking on the grass because some pet owners (Ive noticed more in the past month) dont clean up after their dogs. I think its a rule but if nobodys there to tell them to do it why should they? Finally, I would just like to mention that the speed limit is 10 mph and I know none of us do that including myself but I also dont fly around here. Where I park is near a curve within the drive of the complex and a lot of times people are going as fast as 30 mph, its dangerous to back out especially when its dark out and there comes a car about to hit you.
I have lived here for almost a year now. The apartment is spacious and maintenance gets things done quickly. The office staff has been great. Ashley is very attentive and quick to respond to emails when I have a question or concern. Definitely plan on renewing my lease.
I am not a resident here - I was just visiting. My rating is based on the general upkeep of the property
My family and I have enjoyed our time at Carrington . The communications that we have received throughout the changes due to Covid-19 have been very helpful. The staff is nice and specifically the manager, Liz, goes above and beyond to accommodate requests and answer questions. I appreciate their efforts, kindness and patience. Carrington is a class act on all levels.
Ive lived here at Carrington park for over a year now but sadly I have to leave as I need more space to accommodate a roommate. Ive nothing but good things to say and have enjoyed my time living here the whole time. Maintenance requests were always handled nearly immediately and the office staff and maintenance staff were very professional. The landscaping and grounds are kept up very well and they do a great job getting trash taken care of and supplying lots of doggy bags throughout the property. For the most part things are very quiet and it is in a great location especially with Costco within walking distance!Theyve handled the pandemic very well and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live.
Overall, we like living here....our apt is very spacious, quiet, and worth the price, but everything is great until you need help from maintenance. They have been out here 4 times to “fix” our hot water issue and after 2 months it still isn’t resolved. I don’t recommend if you’re expecting to have well educated people for maintenance issues.
I’ve been here about 5 months now and I’ve had a few issues here and there since move in but I overlooked majority of them as no place is perfect. However, I am now being forced to live with mice. I have a garden level unit and I expected a few bugs/insects here and there but I was not expecting any kind of rodents. I am a extremely clean person to the point that we don’t even wear shoes inside so I am baffled as to why they are in my unit let alone where they are coming from. Management also charges additional (monthly) for pest control so that also adds to my confusion.I submitted a maintenance request as soon as I saw the mouse (10/29). As I did not hear from anyone by 11/1, I checked the status of my request only to discover the request had been marked complete on the same date that I submitted it. I submitted another request then called the office Monday to confirm if an exterminator would be sent out the same day. By this time, I was no longer using the master bathroom since the mouse now called it home. The person I spoke with did seem somewhat empathetic but initially told me that I would need to wait until Wednesday and I should use my second bathroom. She also stated that perhaps the initial request was marked complete in error since the exterminator had come out the day before and maintenance thought work had already been done. Doesn’t make much sense to me since request was submitted the day after but hey, human error. When I explained that the mouse was chewing at the door frame and that there was good chance that there was more than one, she said that would reach out to her manager to see what could be done. She then told me that she would call back however, I have yet to hear from anyone and my call and message to them has been unreturned.I pay for the entire unit so I should be able to use the entire unit, bathrooms included at my discretion. It’s such a shame because the amenities are nice, the grounds are well kept and the unit is fairly spacious but I am now thinking that I will need to break the lease. Correct me if I’m wrong but I should be able to choose my own pets.
Overpriced but verry big apartments
Once they take your deposit do NOT expect to get any help from management. They refuse to answer the phone and the only way to get any help is to hand hold them until they have no choice.
I’ve been living here for one year and I love these apartments! Very quiet and maintenance are prompt - all request are completed the same day or very next! Extremely spacious with nice features! Only issue is the pavement throughout the entire complex. Lots of holes and looks old. I’m positive they can afford it, PLEASE redo!!
Beautiful apartments! Extremely difficult to find your way around!
We love living here! Long-term tenants, we have had immediate response when we needed maintenance. Liz, the manager is extremely responsive to our needs and we will be sad when we leave here.
I just moved in this summer and so far everything has been great! The location is wonderful, the staff is nice, and the environment is great. I really enjoy living here and would reccomend it to anyone.
Please do not rent here. There is nothing about this complex that is luxury in the least. Their maintenance is a joke. Their apartments are lacking decent HVAC to the point where you cant get hot or cold air in one of the bedrooms. The seals on all of the windows need to be replaced and none of the doors leading to the outside are sealed properly. If you are renting here already. They have no qualms about lying to you about putting in maintenance requests or explaining charges to you. Beware when you prepare to leave. They will hit you with cleaning fees months after youve moved out.Again... your better off spending a little bit more money and moving in to Steeplechase up the road. Better amenities and better (newer) apartments that fall in line with industry standards of luxury.
Out of all the experiences I have ever had living in an apartment, this may have been the worst. Its impossible to list all the things that went wrong in the year that I was there, but there is a laundry list. They literally forgot I was moving in on the move in day that had been pre-arranged which means I did not have the key when the truck showed up at the apartment to begin the unload. No wonder the office staff changed multiple times in the year I was there. They were never able to find packages that amazon or the post office advised had delivered. They would tell you they must not have received it, and then only after you showed them the delivery confirmation would they look again and find it. They have stopped accepting package delivery now, probably because they couldnt handle it. Thats one less amenity though, and you better hope no one comes and takes a package from in front of your door.I have never complained to a management company about the noise of a neighbor in the 9 years I have lived in apartments, but I went in 4 different times with recordings to prove how loud my upstairs neighbors were being. A notice or two was delivered but nothing past that was ever done.I could go on and on about the myriad of things that happened in the one year I lived there that were unprofessional at the very least, but I dont have that kind of time. All I will say is that I wouldnt wish my enemy to live there and if you are considering it, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I DO NOT recommend this place. The management here is terrible, please do not rent here. Every request and need a resident inquires takes at least 2-3 times of asking and checking in before a request is fulfilled. The maintenance staff is fine, its the office management, specifically the property manager who does not seem to truly care for the need of the resident. Every time I go in for something, Im met with a shallow and dismissive answer. Having good property management is so important and this place lacks good leadership and it shows. Additionally, my rent has increased by like 30% since moving here! Thats a sure way to ruin customer retention. Think twice before renting from here. Bottom line is the apartment themselves are okay until they jack up the price by 30% and the appliances need major updating. However, when you really need the staff to come through, they dont.
Carrington apartments are beautiful and clean. The neighborhood is nice and just a short drive from Zona Rosa. The leasing office staff are very professional and helpful. I received especially great customer service from Ms. Beachner.
My fiance and I moved in a few months ago intending to stay for a year or two, but we love it SO much that we want to stay for a while longer and may even start a family here in a few years! The amenities are amazing - everything that Id want in a home and more. The floor plan of our place is perfect and has lots of storage space. We had some trouble with communication from the customer call center and the office staff early on, but this has improved a bit, and many of the staff (office and maintenance) are so sweet and friendly!Water/Sewage/Trash costs are also higher than we expected - but overall the price is worth it for everything at Carrington Park.
Will not answer phone or help when you have an issue very unprofessional
I am having to change my review from 5 to 3 over the past 10 months. We have recently moved out (due to work relocation) and the move out was fine but there were drastic things that changed since we lived there that I have never experienced at any of my other apartments (I relo a decent amount for work).First a few positives: Liz is an awesome property manager and was very nice over the duration of our stay. The amenities were amazing for how much we paid when we first signed the lease but based off of the rate (the term market rate was used) would not cover those amenities. Lastly, they had some awesome events and even allowed our dog which was a fun time. The truly are dog friendly and I am glad our pup had a nice dog park to play in.Second, the changes that were negative for us: Changed to not accepting packages for us which we did lose one package over that (thank you Amazon for refunding though) and when I accidentally sent a package to their office (I forgot to update my address after their announcement) I was told that if it happens again they would ship the item back (just unprofessional on the delivery to the resident). We got a call stating that rent were to increase upon our renewal by 55% (current market rate) which i couldnt understand as that price range can put you in a downtown apartment of the same size that is deemed as an actual luxury apartment (One Light or Two Light). During our time there, we also had a few issues with maintenance the first few months as we did not have air conditioning the first week and a half we lived there and then before they got an extra guy, we would have to report three to four complaints to have an issue resolved and when I brought this up to the front office I was directed to use an app instead of talking to someone on their phone line (we also did this for a few and it still took awhile to have our issues resolved). The issue isnt the delay, again it is the unprofessional customer service of not taking blame for not submitting our issue in the first place. Just be transparent to your residents and I promise they should be able to understand more than dragging them in the bushes. The overall review: It isnt a bad apartment complex but it isnt awesome (Of the two I have stayed at in Kansas City and the others before that, I would state it would be on the bottom of that list). If you are relocating here for work I would strongly advise against it because if you have to break the lease they will charge you and it was a hassle going through their corporate office to have the charged added so you are not sent to collections (ended up being redirected back to their Carrington Branch Office). If you are looking for a decent place with some cons for under $1000 (if that is their current rate) then it isnt a bad place but to have to pay over that amount for a luxury apartment, I advise you to look over in Liberty if you want to stay north or look downtown in River-market to the Prairie Village area as that price range can place you in a nicer neighborhood.
We have lived here for just over a year and everyone is very friendly and available whenever we have needed assistance. Everyone in the office is great. We have interacted with Phil the most and he has always been friendly and professional. He truly cares about the residents and strives to make sure everyone and their requests are accommodated to the best of his ability. Highly recommend these apartments they are spacious and are well equipped. The apartment community is great and people are very friendly!
Lovely place, apartments are safe & even have a built in alarm you can set up.
Raised rent on me about 27 percent per month after my 1st lease was up. Can never get a hold of the office when you need something. For example today the office number for current residents has been disabled. Only positive thing I can say is the maintenance men are really nice and seem hardworking. If I were looking for a place to live I’d look somewhere else
My husband, daughter, and I just moved in a little over a week ago and we are loving it! We had a couple of minor maintenance issues when we first moved in and they were addressed and fixed within 24 hours each time. The floor plan is great with tons of open space and HUGE closets. Plenty of parking and easy access to the mail and trash. We moved in after the pool was closed but we look forward to checking it out next summer.Staff in the office has been great. Response to emails is slower than I’d like, but if you call the office or stop by, they quickly handle any questions or issues. We love it so far and hope to enjoy several years here!
Carrington Park is a great place to live - the apartments are very spacious, have tall ceilings, and are nicely furnished, especially with rent being fairly low. The staff, however, are what makes it such an awesome place to live. Maintenance always comes promptly, and the leasing office staff are very friendly and helpful. Phil at the leasing office goes above and beyond. My car died today, and he drove his car down to mine to help me jump start it. He really tries to develop relationships and get to know the residents, and is always there to help out with whatever we need. He needs a big raise honestly. Im so happy I chose Carrington Park - its the perfect place to live!
Utterly terrible office staff. Absolutely atrocious people theyre hiring there. They got confused on what the last day of our lease was, so they were charging us with month-to-month pricing, instead of our previously agreed on yearly lease cost. My roommate had our lease information pulled up on the resident portal when he made the phone call to (Well call her Lexi) in the office. When he voiced the issue, Lexi, the absurdly rude staff member at the office, put him on hold and CHANGED THE DATE shown on the resident portal under our noses. Whenever we visited the page after that, it reflected the incorrect date that would have us pay month-to-month instead. We left the situation as soon as we could, and try as we might to patch things over with management, they didnt give us a penny of our deposit back, despite the fact that we were great residents that left everything in pristine condition before we moved out.TL;DR: Avoid this place at all costs. The grounds are nice, the units are nice, but the staff is absolutely awful and ridiculously inconsiderate and inhospitable. They acted like we were out to gouge them for money or something, when it was really the other way around. If we had the wherewithal to lawyer up, we wouldve totally had a case against them.
Really enjoyed living here! its a beautiful property. I had a problem with the office staff when we first moved here because my stove wasnt working. All of that blew over and I went on living here quietly and happy. Some other drama went down ( our fault) now we have to move! Or Id definitely stay until we buy our home. If youre thinking about moving here, do it!! The apartment homes are big (for an apartment) and the community is very friendly and quiet. If you have little ones, youll love it! youre in a great school district. theres even a small park here! not to mention Costco is opening soon! 😄
They are moldy nasty apartments. The owners treat the staff terribly. Dark and overpriced.
They have gone majorly downhill over the last 6 months. They have apparently decided to be the one apartment complex anywhere to not accept packages at the front office? They dont want to send 30 seconds signing for a package so I have to spend several additional days tracking a package all over town. Also, the company they use to clear the snow this year is substantially worse than last year. Not sure what happened and why they changed companies but this is a huge safety concern and they dont care. Last year I was impressed by how well they did, this year is the complete opposite. I really hope they turn their problems around.
I visited a friend here and it was beautiful! Everyone I came across was friendly also!
Definitely recommend Carrington Park apartments! Phill has gone above and beyond for my grandparents as they’re in the process of moving in in March. He has had so much patience in helping them find the perfect place to call home. Outstanding staff and beautiful grounds as well as clean apartment homes.
I lived in these apartments for a year before moving into my house and I absolutely loved my experience at Carrington Park. The staff are all incredibly friendly and any small issues (IE - dripping AC unit in the utility closet, cold air getting in through an opening in the door seal) were taken care of immediately and were never an issue again. If my husband and I hadnt decided to buy a house, we would still be there, because this was easily the best renting experience I have ever had!
We have lived in the 1 bedroom apartment for 2 years now and have nothing but good things to say. Lexi in the office is always super nice and quick to help, and the maintenance team gets to your problem that same day or the following day. The 1 bedroom is spacious, and the ceilings are higher than most apartments, making the place feel more open. I have had no issues, and have loved our time in these apartments.
I lived in a 1 bed here for a year and other than my neighbor that constantly made my apartment smell like weed, I had a pretty good experience. Lexi in the office was always super nice, maintenance requests taken care of quickly, pool area was clean, they started offering yoga classes at one point. My only real complaint was that when I tried to address my issue with the neighbor, nothing was done about it & it was pretty miserable - my dryer smelled like it so any clothes left in there would stink & I couldnt leave my windows open.
I typically don’t post reviews unless I find it necessary. The actual apartments are fine but we have had issues with the management staff. They seem pretty nice but there has been a lot of miscommunication. First when we moved out we got charged a large fee for cleaning the oven and the bathrooms which basically negated any deposit we would have had. I called about this and the office told me they charge extra if the place is dirty and not clean. I get this; however the place was literally the same after we left if not cleaner. We did a 3 month lease while looking for a house and only lived there for a month and a half. I never used the oven so there’s no way it would have gotten worse. We left the place in the exact same condition in which we moved there in - it wasn’t hard to do since we were there only a few weeks. After talking to management they did fix this and apologized saying they would send me our deposit back. We waited a month or so and nothing. I called again and they promised to send the deposit. Waited another month or so and nothing again. I have tried to call and leave messages multiple times and it’s just a pain to communicate with the front office. I felt like I was always leaving messages and no one was calling me back. Still no deposit 6 months after moving out.Sign a lease at your own discretion!
Nice place, amenities are nice and rooms are spacious. The area is quiet and close to shopping and Highway. Management sucks though. If you decide to move here, get everything in writing. Theyre definitely not trustworthy. Beware of neighbors too. Theyll be in your face all nice, but stab you in the back.
Yeah theres like always some sort of construction or some reason why I dislike visiting this place..be careful with how you treat someone doing honest work too. Wonder if I could get an affordable place over there? Nope. Im out of their classist bracket.
I’ve lived here for 3 years now and just signed on for my 4th. I love living here. There are small things like some of their pool rules that I find silly and a bit overbearing. But Maintenance has always been Prompt, especially for things needed on a regular basis. The office staff, Lexy in particular is fantastic. Nice homes, huge closets, large comfy spaces, all the appliances. Then there’s the spa pool, gym... I’ve been very happy here... Overall, I’d recommend this place for sure.
I will say that their maintenance team is excellent, my washer exploded and flooded my hallway it was cleaned up and a brand new washer installed within an hour on a weekend. These are very spacious for 1 bedrooms and have a nice interior. Great location to Zona Rosa, KCI and downtown KC, also excellent amenities.I loved this place until my new upstair neighbors moved in. Unfortunately all the amenities in the world would not make up for the noise problem I have. For the price, I should not be able to hear my neighbor coughing, talking, adjusting their adjustable chair or their text ding, especially when I have hearing loss in my left ear! Weeknights arent so bad but they have 2-3 kids every weekend that do nothing but scream, jump & run from the bedroom to the livingroom. Im not even exaggerating when I say it sounds like theyre constantly bowling with elephants while wearing cinderblocks for shoes. These apartments would be perfect if they were more soundproof so my suggestion would be to try to pick a top floor.
Raised rent on us about 20% percent per month after my 1st lease was up. We loved our apartment, two bedroom plenty of space, great neighbors! That’s it after that everything else turned out to being a big joke. Management team are terrible, they are not attentive at all, a member of the office staff signed for my wife package but we never received the package, after confronting the office staff about it they stated that we could file an insurance claim on it with the company we purchased that product from, they did acknowledge Signing for the package but told us they can’t tell us what happened to it and they did us a favor for accepting packages. Office team are very rude and hardly ever return phone calls. When we first moved in they told us we could use the clubhouse after hours, but that changed soon we got in our unit the clubhouse close when ever office ours close, unless it’s one of the office team friends or family member. Doing the winter they do not do a good job at all on the parking lot, I fell last year on. Sheet of ice and had to go to the ER. Now our lease is up we divided to stay for 6 more months since we’re moving out of town, they told us we would have to move across the hall because our unit was rented out, and told the tenant who apartment they offered us that her unit was rented out as well, she had to move into a different building her unit was not rented out. I would not recommend this place for anyone.
Very nice property tucked away but close to everything.
Terrible customer service after you sign the lease. My family of 4 was on time with rent and compliant. We made one mistake that we were unaware was not allowed and given 10 days to get out. Management is all business, no heart. We are also being charged more than justifiable for the time we were there. Management cant explain their charges.
Got lied to when I first moved in that the carpet was going to be replaced with vinyl floors... NEVER happened. Nice apartment, but too expensive.
I strongly suggest you reconsider renting here. I scheduled an appointment to do an apartment tour after I got off work. I asked them 3 times if they were available or what times/days they had available as the 4th of July just happened and, I understood they might have been short of staff. I was assured the time and day I scheduled would be fine. After arriving 3 minutes early, I was told by Jennifer to wait for 10 minutes because they were busy and understaffed, and to also look around by myself. I then had someone else help me, not Jennifer. After she listed prices to me that were TOTALLY different from their website and prices I got the weekend before from Jennifer, for that month, I was then told I could go online and look up their virtual tour. Im past that, thats why I made an appointment & came to YOU. I was also told since Im not moving until later in the year, they didnt really have anything to show me and they wouldnt be finished with other clients until 5:30pm (thats when they stop doing tours). I was also told by the lady helping me, she had to go pick up her kids from school so she needed to leave. Not to sound insensitive, but what does that have to do with the time I scheduled my appointment for the tour I was assured I could go on?! I expressed to them if they didnt have time etc.. they couldve told me that from the very beginning. I wasted my TIME rushing up there after work and, my GAS. I rescheduled but, later came to the realization, I dont wish to do business with a company like that. I politely gave them the courtesy I wasnt extended, left a voicemail canceling my appointment. Not once did I get a call back with an apology. Im not shocked. I would hate to see how they treat their tenants!
Nice perks minus the family that leaves their dog in the garage every morning at 6am. Just getting of work just to not sleep thanks to kojo who’s freezing his but off. Dryer has been an issue since I’ve moved it. It doesn’t turn on. The first day I moved in a ran the washer and dryer just to make sure it worked fine and had to call maintenance the same days because the start knob didn’t work. I’ve put in multiple complaints regarding the dog and the dryer. No improvement just temporary fixes.
I am a current resident love the apartments love the space hate the way that they are so corporate my rent changes every year always up never down figures hate the way they do billing they find any way to fee or fine you or get any sort of money from you they can wish they would change this
Horrible, horrible customer service. Aside from the newer gentleman in the office, Ive only had extremely poor experiences. Getting ahold of maintenance (or anyone really) is a challenge. Ive had a flooded living room from a broken washer, water damage on my belongings under the kitchen sink while replacing the garbage disposal, and no response when my AC stopped working in July. Save yourself the trouble and live literally anywhere else. Ive rented multiple other places, across different cities and have never had such terrible experiences. The. Worst.
My girlfriend has been here for a month and a piece on the dryer has broken 3 times. Each time she’s called and put in a work order they come out a week later and rig it to keep it running for a few more days instead of replacing it and she’s stuck doing her laundry most the time at my parents house.
If you like living in a dump where it takes a month or more to get things fixed or replaced and being accused of having a pet that you don’t have, then I recommend this place! Office staff are unprofessional and play favorites to the staff that live there! Maintenance is a joke and take their precious time with getting things done and are not professional at all! Make sure you tip-toe and whisper so you don’t get a complaint, but if you complain of someone constantly stomping above you than your the one lying! And when your calling the office to complain, they put the person on the phone that you are making the complaint about. (Super professional) Good luck to all of you who are dealing with this treatment too! So happy we left!! Our current landlords are the best!!
I just tried to sign a lease here today. They increased the price over $150 in a week, and the office staff is unable to do anything . Steadfast Company owns them, and they dont take phone calls and have not returned my call, while taking $199 from us and not returning that even when this will no longer work. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.
Ive lived here for about 8 months and I love it! I think my home is great and the living room is huge. They went through a management change awhile back but Ive seen improvements to the property (more doggie stations, better snow removal, etc). The people in the office have been nothing but nice to me and when I go in to get my packages they are usually laughing about something. Overall Im planning to renew my lease when it comes up!
Ive been here for 15 months and thankfully my lease ends this month! As the previous tenant mentioned, the place has indeed gone down hill. The manager is super snobby and rude! The only nice people there are Stephen, some other lease consultant and the maintenance guys. I tried to talk with the manager recently about my financial situation but she wasnt understanding or sympathetic one bit!!! I told her not to get an attitude with me because all I was doing was communicating to her. I had to get off the phone with her because she was definitely pushing my buttons. Anywho, overall my apartment itself was spacious and updated to some degree. It did need some updates but wasnt too bad. I would not rent here again because of the increased rent (not that luxurious) and upper management.
Lived here for a year, I was robbed during my vacation. I lost everything. No forced entry. Management did not help at all to find out what happened and still made me pay to break my lease even though I feared for my safety. I would not recommend this complex.
Eric the maintenance tech is always working really hard around the property. He is currently in the trash compactor pushing it down getting dirty and seams to have a smile in his face. he gets work orders done whenever i put them in within 24 hours and they are always done and do not need to be fixed again. Eric is A+
We lived here for a total of 4 years. LOVED the location and PAST management staff. We moved twice within the apartment complex itself. Cleaned ourselves both times and were NEVER dinged for anything dirty. Well that was under the old management staff. This last time we were charged with 108 for a dirty shower. Listen, I get it......we def werent trying to leave it dirty. I just believe the old management staff wouldve been more lenient. Great apts.....overpriced but nice.....but bad customer service. (Stephen was the best person they had!)
I have posted a similar review on Yelp because I do believe people should be aware of the experience we had with Carrington park. Our experience with Carrington Park was as such, and hopefully by the end of the read you will understand why it is probably not worth living there.Short version: It took them 4 months to deal with a barking dog next door, the amenities are badly maintained you’re paying $40 a month wrapped into your rent for Time Warner Cable (even if you don’t want or use it) and the apartments are built to look good but are done so cheaply and don’t hold up to the hype when you move in. If you have noisy neighbors or a dog next door you’re going to be miserable. The apartment is a little far (about 15-minute drive) from downtown but we figured that the cost of the apartment was worth it. We felt like the apartments looked great and were well made.Amenities: We tried to use the gym a few times but 3 of 4 treadmills were not functioning, the weight machines were barely working and the gym is only large enough to have two maybe three people in it. The theater projector for months was non-functioning, and the pool many times would have an insane number of bugs floating in it.Apartment: These apartments are built so they look impressive when you view them but DO NOT hold up when you move in. The walls are incredibly thin. We could hear our downstairs neighbor on the phone for hours at a time and for months had a dog who barked incessantly next door. We didn’t even want to be in our apartment! Our lights frequently flickered, and our floor had a strange dip in it.Management: If you’re ever put on hold you will hear them say something like “You can expect the best customer service”. Nope. We had a dog who would bark for hours at a time we could hear all over our apartment. We brought this to the attention of the management in early January. By February we finally got the problem to the management team and there was no resolution until April when we finally said enough was enough and made them act. That required me recording the dark barking, bringing it to them, multiple phone calls and a meeting with upper management. The leasing consultants are wonderful, but the actual management is flat out rude.I have never been more unsatisfied with any apartment I have lived in.
My main issue this apartment complex is their customer service. Our lease ended on June 12th. We didn’t get our deposit back until August 12th. It literally took two whole months of emailing and calling them to get our money back. They gave me different excuses each time. “You guys gave us the wrong forwarding address” “Our management company hasn’t cut the check yet” “We are very understaffed right now” blah blah blah. I even called Steadfast corporate and they wouldn’t even look into the situation and call me back. If you would like to move out with ease and be assured you get your deposit back, I would look elsewhere to live.I also had a problem a couple months after I moved in. My air conditioning went out and it got to 84 degrees in my apartment and I had two cats. The lady in the office kept telling me that maintenance would be out in about an hour. I called multiple times that day. They never showed up that day. They didn’t care that we had no air during the summer. When we moved out we found some black mold in the closet. The guy who did our walk thru with us after we moved out told us they have foundation issues. For an apartment complex that’s not even 10 years old and “luxury” you wouldn’t expect those kind of issues. They also wanted to raise our rent $24 a month to renew our lease. Ok, no big deal. But they wouldn’t renew our lease during the “early bird special” so we would have to pay even more than that. No thank you. I’m sorry that they are “very understaffed” but I think if they wanted to keep people who pay rent before its due and don’t cause problems, they would type up a new lease within the 2 weeks that we gave them to do it before the special was up.Overall, I would NOT recommend living here. For a “Luxury” apartment complex, I don’t feel like it’s worth the money or the headache trying to communicate with the staff.
I LOVE living here! Seriously. My apartment is beautiful and extremely spacious. Im living in the aspen floor plan, and it had everything you could need. The kitchen is huge with TONS of storage- so much cabinet space and a nice sized pantry. Every apartment comes with a full size washer/dryer which is awesome. Im finally able to wash my king size comforters at home instead of going to a laundry mat, and that by itself is extremely convenient. The bathrooms have HUGE tubs, and are ideal for taller people- my boyfriend is 63, and this is the first time he doesnt have to bend over to wash his hair, so he loves it. The bathrooms also have a linen closet in them which gives you lots of extra space for storage. Finally, the bedroom is the perfect size. We have a king size bed/2 night stands/ and a large dresser which made it really hard for us to find a one bedroom apartment to fit all of that. Even with all of that furniture, we still have a lot of extra space in our bedroom. Theres also a huge walk in closet. Whoever designed the floor plans for these apartments truly thought of it all. Its so hard to find an apartment that has everything you need, but this place really meets all the things that were in our wish list. To top it off, the staff here is so friendly and helpful. The office staff is great, and maintenance rocks. I put in a few work orders on a Sunday night, and at 8:30 on Monday morning, maintenance was knocking on my door to take care of it. He even installed a shower head for me while he was in my apt because I didnt have a wrench. Its the little things like that, that show they really care. I know this is a super long review, but I feel like Carrington Park deserves it. If you are looking for a nice apartment in the northland, you will not be disappointed moving here!
Do not live here. The staff is nice until you sign the lease..maintenance really sucks they have to come back multiple times for weeks to fix the same thing. They are rude and constantly invade your privacy..if your lower level you will hear your neighbors, walking, talking, TV, fighting, babies and dogs barking all day. NOT WORTH THE EFFORT OR RENT..
Theyre racist and unprofessional. They have horrible customer serviceand need new management in the office!
Lots of perks: tons of space, great location, W/D included.Big cons in customer service. Be sure to document everything, be precise about all deadlines and legal requirements, and be incredibly thorough in your move-in and move-out inspection.
Love my new place. It is peaceful and quiet. The office staff are nice, maintenance is nice and I love the amenities and the neighbors.
Its not the jumanji board game thats thumping at 4 in the morning its the neighbors.
Just moved in. Great location, staff, beautiful apartment. Love it.
The overall facilities of this complex are great. The pool is fantastic, the walking trail is nice, it is pet friendly (with additional fee+deposit) and the club house is nice even if it is rarely used. The downside comes with the actual apartments. The facility uses no padding under the carpet so you can easily hear every step taken by the neighbors above, likewise the the neighbors below you will be able to hear you as well. We had two upstairs neighbors while living here. We were annoyed at the first because she seemed to walk very heavy, or so we thought. Then we got a new neighbor and the stomping continued. We determined this is just how it sounds. The new neighbor played his video games extremely loud and yelled back at them so loud we could hear everything he said, most of the time not family friendly. You will be sold by the leasing staff that this is a luxury apartment but dont be fooled. You should never have to hear your neighbors so easily. You will also find the carpet to look great for about a week before it gets matted down and looks about 15 years old. But again that is to be expected without padding. The windows and back door leak air profusely and one of the bedrooms is always cold do to the lack of insulation in the closet of all places. The positives of this place are the amenities and the staff. You will always find them very friendly and accommodating. They did address the noise of our upstairs neighbor by calling him as letting him know we made a complaint. That is as far as that went. We had several maintenance calls and they were resolved very quickly. The maintenance staff was friendly and always asked if you had any additional needs while they were there.*We moved out because we found a house to purchase though we would likely have tried to find a new complex within a few short weeks due to the noise.
Manager and some of her crew are extremely rude, borderline hateful, its almost like the mean girls, they treat you like royalty until you move in and then the manager is almost like a Prison warden. I didnt see this coming at all, they truly fooled me. You better not call with an issue that will interrupt their day because they will speak to you like you are garbage, this is a total misuse of power and the Manger, she is by far the worse. They must remember that people have choices and me and my family chose Carrington Park over other places in the area and we expect to be treated with respect and with dignity. Customer service is a HUGE problem here. Ive never had an experience with a group being so mean, rude and insensitive and the Manager leading the pack is even more alarming. Other than the leasing staff the apartments are beautiful.
The rules and system they have is ridiculous. The lady who consider herself as manager is rude and disrespectful. She call herself manager but as a manager she doesnt know how to listen and she is not able to do anything (when they dont want to help), all the system and rules cover and protect them, as a customer you dont have any rights. They dont have a fair rent increasing rate. They are almost doubling price. This is the worst place l ev ever seen (as management and rules). My move in date is June 25 for 11 month lease, but move out date is May 21, What happen to that 4 days. How many days do your months include?Basically they get your money for 4 days that they didnt deserve it .
Friendly, professional staff, apartments were great. Among the top in my list
Horrible, terrible customer service. Last year l was there and l had a terrible experience with the management. The lady who was calling herself manager (but she was not able to manage herself) was rude, lair and disrespectful. Because of the liar manager l have to move to a hotel. They are dishonest, dont recommend them.
Nice apartments, however not enough outdoor lighting!
Great staff and location
Customer service is very poor in my opinion and they state they have laminate hardwood flooring and it is vinyl. I wouldnt of ever rented knowing this.
Clean and great view.
Friends home, just visiting.
Wonderful place to live !!!
Never heard of it
