I highly recommend this property for many reasons. I’ve lived downtown for over 3 years and Apex at Quality Hill is on my list as one of the top 3 places to live downtown. I’ve toured most of the apartments downtown over the years and Apex stands out, so much so that I’m staying for another year. The floor plans are unique and spacious with oversized windows that provide the most amazing views and giant closets that leave no complaints. The kitchen concept is open with lots of cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. These apartments have quality. The amenities are great and the community clean and well kept by the maintenance team. The residents are friendly and all members of the office staff are always polite, helpful and kind. Recently I decided to change units and everyone in the leasing office worked to help however Brittany in particular worked extensively to find the apartment that met my needs and one that I could not refuse. She listened attentively and never got frustrated with my pickiness or indecisiveness. She does her job well and made the experience a pleasure. She was just as excited as I was when we found the unit I adore. All communities have issues but our property manager Erin works hard to find solutions that can make her residents happy. This property is great, so stop in and you will see why it’s highly recommended.

If you get an apartment here only consider a top floor apartment. The person who live above shakes my apartment walking around. I can also hear and feel the people walking down the hall on my floor and on the floor above. It’s more disruptive than you’d think. Otherwise, pretty good location. Buildings are new the apartments are comfortable. Gated parking is nice. The proximity to the park is also nice.

Decided to go with Apex on Quality Hill before the building was done being built. Dont regret that decision at all. One of the first to move in and its been a great 3 years! Sad to be leaving, but wouldnt hesitate to move back if the chance ever came up. Thanks so much to everyone at Apex!

I love Apex! I have a large (845 sq.ft.) 1br/1ba unit. Living here is just fantastic. Its hard to tell but they have a great covered heated garage under each building, I did not worry about warming my car all winter. Its safe, restricted access into the building and community space, and butterfly guest access system where I can see on my phone, who is at the door before buzzing them in. Controlled 24hr access, package room with the Luxor lockers. My apt is beautiful, it feels like a home with full size front load washer and dryer. My unit faces the west and I get beautiful sunsets on my huge patio. The staff is friendly and responsive, they throw awesome events like our end of summer pool party with a DJ lots of food and drinks, national lollypop day and sponsored happy hours at nearby bars like Tribe River Market and P&L District. They also give back to our community with plenty of donation drives. Erin and Giovanna are the front office leaders and as friendly as can be. Clint manages maintenance and is a pretty cool guy. They are the best property management team you can ask for. Some ppl complain about noise in other reviews (trains) It does not bother me at all, I sleep like a baby. If you are a light sleeper I would probably suggest you live in the burbs.. the nature of downtown living is hustle and bustle and noise so if noise concerns you then I say dont move anywhere downtown. When it comes to noise from my neighbors it is non-existent Ive never heard my neighbor inside of my apt. And btw, the neighbors are friendly.Overall Apex was a great find for me. Its settled away from the crazy traffic with easy ways into the neighborhood, the gym has all the equipment you need (virtual trainer workouts on demand) battle ropes, kettle bells, row machine, med balls pretty much everything. The pool is like a luxury Oasis. I use the gas firepit outside when friends come over, we drink wine and roast marshmallows. I have also used the outdoor gas grill. Clint and team keep it clean. Im really going to miss this place when I move to my new city! I hope you take my place and love everything about it!!! Thanks Apex for making my year of tough transition a good experience!

Best living experience in KC with the best view!! You get a suburban feel living in Quality Hill with a park, dog park, perfect landscape, and watching the planes take off and land while the kiddos play. With restaurants (including The Peanut), bars, 9 round kickboxing, cafes, etc right down the street it is the best of both worlds. I had a 1 bdrm on the 3rd floor with a sky view overlooking the park and river😍🛩 watching the air show and the planes flying over daily was just awesome. Giovanna and the entire staff at Apex are top notch and help to square away any problems immediately. I lived in Overland Park, KS for 2 years before moving to Apex and joyfully made the drive back and forth to work after finding my Apex apt! Yes the park can be noisy sometimes but I figured that bc I was moving next to a park in a CITY lol. Its City living guys and gals! This is Kansas City where we hop on light up scooters and head down the Street to The Quaff..literally down the street! This beautiful neighborhood only IMPROVES every year! So grateful for my 15 month experience here. Thanks for everything Giovanna and Apex staff!

Apex is a great apartment complex located right outside of downtown KC. I loved the convenience of this apartment since it is very close to downtown and also easy to access the freeway as well too. The apartment complex is brand new and the maintenance team is always keeping up with the complex on maintenance. The staff is great here and quick to respond to requests. I had several minor issues (smoke detector low battery, leaking window), and these were fixed rapidly. The gated parking lot is a very nice feature, but it does fill up quickly in the evening. During summer times, there are a lot of people that hang out near Case Park, and it can be come quite noisy at night too. Lastly, there is a train that cross 2 roads in West Bottoms that pull the horn regardless of the time of day.

Apex has been the perfect apartment complex for me. It is so close to downtown KC, but has a quiet neighborhood vibe in Quality Hill. It is gated and secure, I always feel like I am safe. The actual living areas that are offered in the apartment homes are clean, up to date and spacious. The common areas and grounds are clean; the management team ensures that there are continually exterior updates, window cleanings, landscaping to keep the complex looking its best. The amenities that Apex offers are incredible. The gym equipment is cleaned daily, and there is a good variety. The salt water pool was open for a generous amount of time last season. It is a great community hang out spot. Monthly there are resident events in our community kitchen/lobby hosted by Erin and Giovanna, or other residents that everyone is invited to attend. I have met so many friendly neighbors here at Apex to due the inclusive community culture. One of my favorite amenities is the luxer package system, as it is an anxiety free, convenient way to receive mail. The butterfly security system makes having visitors over a breeze, while maintaining a secure environment for all residents.Erin and Giovanna, as well as Sean, Clint and the entire maintenance team go above and beyond to resolve issues, manage maintenance requests (typically within a 24 hour period), and provide a safe community environment. There is always a friendly face and conversation in the front office, and hallways of Apex.I would recommend Apex to anyone looking for a quieter space in downtown KC.

I lived at Apex for the past year and although I did not continue my lease I have had an overall positive experience living there. The units are lovely and the amenities are beautiful and kept clean and accessible. The maintenance team responds quickly to any service requests. The ladies in the office are always so friendly and even host fun community events for residents, whether it be holiday parties, blood drives or just happy hour! The only negative aspect I experienced would have to be the lack of parking, if you work nights and can’t pay for a garage spot you are generally left scrambling to find a spot on the street when you get home because the parking lot fills up so fast. So if you can afford a garage spot I highly recommend it!Overall living at Apex was a positive experience and I would recommend it to anyone considering renting there.

First off I would like to give a hugeeeee Thankyou to Dayana, she made the process of moving into a new apartment as nice as these very simple and easy. I was in a very short time frame of moving into a new apartment since my lease was up in 6 days! She spent all day going back and fourth with my apartment complex, and saved me not just time, but a massive headache. Moving into a new place can be very stressful, and after being at multiple luxury living places, this one was by far the most smooth, and easy process to go through. She even took time out of her day to bring me the keys after hours. I was absolutely astonished. It was a grand gesture, and she knew how much I was going through, and assisted me and my dog Scarlett, into our new home. It only let me put 5 stars, but Dayana and Apex On Quality Hill deserve easily much more than that off of a rating. Thankyou all so much, ask for Dayana, and you will for sure get taken care of, whether it comes to luxury living space knowledge, needs or wants, and most of all, making it exciting instead of a headache.

I have lived here for over three months now and it was the best move I have ever made!!! The apartments are perfect and the best value in downtown Kansas City. Beautiful finishings, great amenities, fun resident gatherings and the most professional, friendly and helpful staff that I have come across in urban living. The office staff (Erin and Giovanna) made the move super easy. They worked tirelessly to make sure they found the right unit for me as well as ensured that I had everything I needed to make my move as easy as it could be! It was obvious that they cared about their residence needs and I wasnt just another resident! During the snow this season I watched Clint and Sean work none stop overnight to ensure the lots and sidewalks were perfect for the residences in the morning. I had one small maintenance issue, I turned it in and within minutes I had a response and it was fixed before I was home work. There was not a single sign that they had even been there to provide maintenance and they even followed up to make sure I was happy with the service!! Amber keeps the property immaculate! There has never been a time that things on the property don’t look perfect! If your looking for a quiet, friendly, perfect place to live downtown don’t waste your time looking at all the properties downtown, like I did, just start and finish at Apex!!!! By far the best property and staff in downtown Kansas City!!!!!

I love this place! I have never lived down town and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. Now I just love it. The grounds are kept impeccable. They shoveled all winter and now have begun to prepare for spring. The staff is nice, professional and most important very responsive. They invested a lot of time helping me to find the right apartment for me. I also really like the activities. Last week we had a social event in the club house and this week we are cleaning up a neighboring park together! Did you know they have an outdoor TV by the pool?! Most importantly, I feel very safe here. My neighbors are wonderful, and everyone seems very patient with each other. Lastly, I love my apartment. It is large and well appointed. The views and the amenities are awesome. I am finally home. Thank you, Apex!

The design of the apartments and the amenities are amazing but I am only writing this review because the CONSTANT trains going by will give anyone a sleepless night. They are loud and the walls are thin. If you struggle falling asleep this is not the place for you. Just a warning! Also there are issues with the ceiling fan lights. The remote control for the light accidentally links to others remotes nearby so you will end up having your bedroom light come on in the middle of night again and again and again. This will wake you up several times. The train noise and the uncontrollable lights turning on will certainly make anyone trying to get sleep fail. Its not all bad but those are two pretty big issues. Some good points are the space of the apartments and the design. The gym is beautiful and the pool is pristine. Closets could give you a little more space but having a washer and dryer in the unit makes up for it.

Residents are noisy and rude. They party all the time and make noise into the early hours of the morning. Management does not do anything to control this issue. People also let non-residents into the closed parking area, limiting the amount of spots for actual residents. We will be moving out as soon as possible.

We have enjoyed living here and are only moving because we found a great condo to buy. Staff is great. Amenities also. Great indoor parking. Great view from our 4th story corner unit and 2 decks! Maintenance is very responsive and complete. Some noise of trains and street but less than all other downtown apartments.

Review Updated after 18 months after move out. TL;DR nice downtown location & units are attractive, the views are incredible & residents are typically nice, but sincerely hope you have quiet neighbors, can find parking, have no off hour maintenance issues, & time your lease perfectly because any of those issues are a bit of a nightmare to deal with.We adored Apex for our first several months living there, but the longer we lived there the more issues we lived with. After Mgmt changed we feel like everything became about $ & the community feeling mgmt attempted was contrived.SAFETY: Unfortunately, Case Park is just not safe after hours. The gazebos at 10th & Summit are a gathering place in the evenings, particularly on weekends. My husbands steel cable bike lock was cut INSIDE THE GATES; the thief was only deterred by a resident shouting from their balcony (thanks, neighbor). One resident was assaulted & pepper sprayed in Case Park. A car exploded on Summit due to M80s in a glove box. We spent every weekend (Spring to Fall) calling in noise complaints to the non-911 police line. We awoke multiple times to gunshots & in one heartbreaking instance watched a double homicide play out from our balcony. I recognize these are not Apexs responsibility as they occur outside the gates. However, A) the prices they continue to charge are ridiculous for this neighborhood-its not a luxury & B) the security changes they implement (months later at times) feel nominal. The gates are easily jumped. The garage doors were kept open multiple times, sometimes days, due to maintenance issues. When a resident was breaking into their own balcony by scaling the building security was nowhere! Again, I dont hold Apex responsible for a lot of the safety issues. But if youre moving in here be aware of them.MONEY: Be prepared to be charged for every thing. Want parking? There arent enough spots inside the gates that youre guaranteed a spot. So you can pay for a garage space at $125 a month per spot ($150 for a storage unit-did I mention the dead mouse I found in ours). Have a pet? Thats a $400 fee (not too out of standard, admittedly), but they are careful to call it a pet privilege fee & not a deposit so damages cant be charged against that. Youll pay $35 a month for pet rent. Thats a fee just for the luxury of having your animal live with you & also wont be applied against anything in the future. Did mgmt lose an e-mail from you regarding renters insurance renewals? Be prepared to pay a fee to avoid being sent to creditors, even if you can prove you sent the email on time. Need to extend your lease? Rent is conveniently based on an algorithm & your past on time payments, good neighbor status, or COVID-19 complications wont matter. Our initial lease (before pet, parking, and storage) was $2074 a month for a 2bedroom corner unit. After a year when we renewed our lease by 5 months rent was increased to $2384 a month. When the 5 months was up, due to COVID-19 delays our new home was not finished & we needed to extend our lease short term. The proposed rent renewal was $3,539! After I countered this ridiculous number, management did get the renewal offer dropped to $2,884I appreciate that they worked with me, truly, but I find both numbers to just be absolutely absurd. $2,884 is $800 over our original lease terms. Thats after we had had more than a year of on time payments & witnessed a double homicide outside our window. In addition, management had issued multiple statements about how theyd be willing to work with residents who encountered difficulties during the pandemic. Those rates just dont make sense, imo. This review is long enough without me touching on the fees we were charged upon moving out. Look, I 100% this is a business and their goal is to make money. And wow, do they make money! But if youre wanting to live here make sure you go in knowing what youll be charged for, how often youll be charged it & know that those numbers just arent justified for what youre receiving.
