If your looking for a top notch apartment renting experience these are the ones! The units are beautifully built with all the amenities! Megan was so helpful and professional. I was amazed by how short she is, but she never lets her small stature hold her back from providing awesome customer service. BIG BIG thanks to such a tiny woman for getting us in our new home!

Absolutely perfect all around experience! The apartments were exactly what I was looking for... Spacious, clean, nice amenities and a great location, with views of the city. The staff was very welcoming and my leasing agent Samantha really went above and beyond on the tour. Made me feel welcome and right at home! Definitely recommend Marcato for anyone looking for a nice place to live, go check them out!

I just moved in over the weekend and my boyfriend and I are IN LOVE. The apartment is beautiful and the location is amazing! I was worried about the safety aspect, the rougher side of Kansas City is literally half a mile away but we are just staying away from that area and have had no issues. We also have zero issues parking like some of the posts mentioned. I strongly recommend Marcato!

The apartments are nice but none of the old staff is there. The new staff wasn’t as friendly as Hannah and Rachel. I moved out early and was charged full valet trash for the 3 days of the beginning of my last month. I was told I would get my full deposit back and ended up paying water twice. They charged me in the month of December and the full charge also came out of my deposit. I called multiple times to get someone to explain the charges and no one called me back. I liked my apartment fine and maintenance was always nice to me, but beware there are no amenities here and you are paying like there are. Also, if you leave the parking lot past 8-830 you won’t find any spots when you get back. This was at least true for when I lived there about 3 months ago. You have to get packages thru the front desk and sometimes they close early. If your packages are heavy you will literally have to carry them across the parking lot on your own. They used to deliver if you were running late getting there, but that was the old staff not the new. Beware before you waste money here.

Great place, very clean, and a super helpful staff. The manager Megan went out of her way to make my move in as easy as possible.

Leasing process did not meet our expectation. We did not feel like a priority after the initial tour. The leasing associate did not make us feel welcome and was dismissive of our concerns. In addition, the associate lacked the essential knowledge to accurately answer our questions and refuse to go the extra mile to find them.The apartments are modern but not worth the hassle. You are limited to the apartment complex‘s WiFi only internet provider, which is twice as much as Google Fiber for comparable speed. The only worth while amenity was parking and even that was practically full every night.Ultimately we decided to end the leasing process and move else where. I would recommend keeping your options open.

A great place with amazing staff!

Great location, reasonably priced, and great staff! Great restaurants like Antler Room and Brewers Kitchen close by and not far from crossroads area. The highway is close by to if you are headed out of the area.

Since moving in this apt complex has made me feel right at home after leaving LA, i love the warm and fun on site parties and the best and fun staff and they are always ready to help ....i love our community center and our free coffee and tea bar -grilling and fire pit area is LIT....cheers

Ive never lived in an apartment longer than the lease term (in my whole life), and I just renewed my lease with Marcato! I love living so close to the city without having to pay city rent. Rachel and Hannah in the front office are the absolute best. They plan community events and make a point to remember everyones names.Its the perfect place for a young professional, student, or honestly anyone who doesnt need all the amenities of an apartment that usually go unused.

Although I am not going to move to this property, I wanted to share a few things about it.Hannah, the leasing agent, is a gem. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was able to tour 3 units on very short notice.The property is a nice addition to the Beacon Hill/Troost neighborhood. The apartments are clean and modern. If they had a bit more character, I would have likely chosen Marcato as my next home in KC. Im simply more of a loft person.Great property, great staff!

Marcato is towing their residents cars if they don’t have a parking pass. Marcato will eventually lose will their residents and reputation if they don’t find a better plan of action to be in favor of their residents.

I searched for an apartment for about 6 months after I graduated college in May. I have been living in Marcato for about a month now. I wanted to find a place right in the middle of the downtown, however everything was so expensive for so little space. Marcato does not have the amenities like some other apartments. However they team up with companies around them as well as downtown to provide discount services for all the renters. This said, for a brand new apartment, there prices are very reasonable for the amount of space you get. The management team is amazing, always welcoming as well as thorough communication to all residents through email or in person. Maintenance was available and fixed my shower when I moved in SAME DAY. Professional management team, beautiful brand new space, and great to say this has been a great apartment experience for my first place on my own.

With the price of these poorly bulit apartments with no real amenities, you would think you could at least park in the parking lot that you pay for. Instead, we are forced to park on the streets! Meanwhile, we are located on 27th and troost where we hear sirens all night and day. Not worth it at all! It may help to not make people pay for parking that you know you dont have space for...

I just recently moved into the Marcato apartments and couldn’t be happier. The leasing agent Hannah is absolutely incredible. She always responds to my questions in a timely manor and is super informative. She made touring the apt fun and easy and got me excited to move into my new home. I wish every leasing agent was this easy to work with! Nothing but positive reviews here. Thank you Hannah and the Marcato staff for making moving easy and a quick process.

One of the worst appartments I have ever lived, they are literally stealing all my money I already ended up paying $8000 in the name of lease breakage and I still keep getting request for making another payment for another month.I do not understand what is the payment request for but when asked for more clarification they do not even answer calls its simply a way to steal people. I hope there is a way I can give a negetive ratingbto this appartments

Worst apartments to live in kc. I paid 8grand for breaching the lease. Think again before you rent here. It’s a nightmare. Worst management and maintainace.

Unfortunately, Ive had ongoing issues for two months with Milhaus Management, and I havent been able to get anything resolved. I submitted an application and admin fee upon applying for an apartment and was rejected. I was rejected 2/18/2019 for the apartment. At this time, I was informed that I would receive my admin fee back, $150. After two weeks of not having it, I called. The gal at the local office couldnt help (Marcato Apartments in KC). I called back another week later. She still couldnt help. I called the Indianapolis officer. They couldnt help. They said a check should be sent, but yet, no check has been received. Ive called back every 1-2 weeks, emailed, etc for two months now to receive a $150 check. It is now 4/25/2019. The Milhaus office is completely unreliable and does not respond to anything, other than telling you this is for someone else to do, try back in a week or two when theyre back from vacation. However, its been two months. I have yet to receive any check, I have yet to receive any help. Its only $150, but its been more than two months to receive $150.Update - after fighting for almost three months, the $150 refund check as finally come through. I’m going to leave the rating as is because of the lack of service for nearly three months. February 18 is when the check should have been issued. The check came as of 5/8/2019.

Living in Marcato for 3mo:-Insufficient water pressure apartment wide (kitchen sink, bathroom sink & shower faucet)(No long-term solutions from maintenance have been expressed)-Issues in newly constructed apartment, such as chipped/scratched countertops, dents to refrigerator, dents/scratches to window frames in living area, scratches on exterior window glass and small holes in kitchen vinyl flooring-Apt WIFI non-functional for first three weeks of tenancy (Taking multiple hours & evenings with third party contractor to have new router installed)-Homeless sleeping on complex furniture outside (leasing office cant do anything about this. Police dont have the time)(Leasing office has mentioned on-site security as possible future solution)How maintenance related issues have been addressed:When submitting a work order, it is required to check a box which gives maintenance permission to enter.Multiple instances after submitting a work order, it has been left open for multiple days and no response returned by maintenance.My apartment has been entered multiple times throughout the week, but no noticeable corrections made and no notes left regarding what has, or will be done to correct issues.This problem was recently addressed via email with the leasing office director, who handled the situation quickly and I received a pre-call upon next entry.The work order was closed, but there were no noticeable corrections to my apartment and no follow-up from maintenance regarding what has and will be done in the future.The concept of Marcato is great, with newly constructed modern-esque style apartments, competitively priced in the up and coming region of Kansas City.It seems Milhaus LLC & UC-B Properties are very forward thinking, developing near a future Billion dollar industry in the downtown KC Hospital Hill region.Whether they have spread themselves too thin, between multiple projects at once is the question.With the issues experienced thus far, it has been more stress to take on, rather than worry free living I was planning on at this price-point.

A+ experience with Hannah. The unit is great, price is well below other units I looked at, and the location is super convenient for walking to Hospital Hill.

Was shown the higher price studio unit with the intention of looking at the lower price point. No online floor plans show the lower price point unit plan so it is very misleading. Did not learn this until after admin fee was payed. Inquired about receiving this fee back because of large price difference in the unit I was shown. I was completely ignored.
