This is by far the best fitness facility in Kalamazoo County. Ive been a member for 3 years and absolutely love the Bronson Athletic Club. They have world class equipment and amenities, and the staff is awesome. My personal trainer, Brian Ladkroob, is very knowledgeable and amazingly helpful. They also have a great sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, and three pools. The showers are all new and private. Towels are provided. Its just the best place Ive ever found. Highly recommend

This is the best gym in kalamazoo. it’s pricey, but it’s worth it if you are busy. you can get to every piece of equipment you need and then still have time to for R&R in the sauna, steam room and hot tub. very clean place!

This is a bright and well maintained athletic facility for its size and age. They are diligently implementing social distancing and healthy covid-19 practices. And the physical therapy department rocks!

I joined Bronson a little over a year ago pre pandemic. While personally I never agreed with the shutting down of gyms because I think theyre essential to mental and physical health especially during times of isolation they obviously had no choice due to the governors orders for months on end. Upon reopening the dues were reduced and I became the sole member attending the gym and my add on to my membership was not present anymore. Once the full dues kicked back in in November I decided the price was not worth the reduced hours they are operating on still due to my schedule being abnormal from most. That being said, when this gym is operating normally I do believe it is one of the best gyms in the area. Slightly overpriced even then in my opinion but the amenities certainly outweigh that considering the multiple options you have especially if you have kids. Its unfortunate times were in right now but I wouldnt not still recommend BAC. Ill be trying a month to month at Powerhouse gym for now. The gym market in Kalamazoo is not that great coming from someone who was previously in Jacksonville Florida.

The best place to work out in Kalamazoo. Friendly staff, awesome pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub. The daycare is great for parents with kids. You can play basketball or racquetball. There is an indoor track for running so you do not have to run on the treadmill to get your running in during the snowy months.

Nice, quiet gym to go to in the evenings. A little packed in the mornings but thats to be expected. They have great facilities and staff to help you out with whatever you need. The people who go there regularly to work out are also very nice, as well.

Great place just wish that they would allow a discount or even if my insurance could pay for a membership here thatd be great. Because I love this place. The daycare is the best, the staff are the best Ive ever met at a gym/ PT/OT place.

I have physical therapy there, loved the pool, also the gym. The gym does get crowded, Im not sure if alot is there for therapy or members working out, so thats understandable. Overall great staff, clean.. the only problem is the price for membership. Way to high.. I would love to be able to swim, great exercise. I have a membership at Planet Fitness so I go there for workout. I havent been able to do that cause of my injury and thats why I am doing therapy at Bronson Athletic club. Overall its a clean environment.

I wanted to go to Bronson athletic club for one day pass because I was stressed and wanted to workout and utilize the sauna and steam room which my current gym doesn’t have. I called over the phone and verified that without coming with a member is 25$. When I walked in and said I wanted a day pass they put me with someone who does memberships. I told him I just wanted a day pass and he looked at me funny and acted like there wasn’t that option as if I needed to sign up and as if my 25$ for a day pass was not enough. Then I told him how someone on the phone told me how it was 25$ and oh now all of a sudden there’s a day pass. I just didn’t get any smiles and honestly it made me feel very unwelcome. I already have immense anxiety going to new places especially ones as intimidating as this one and I just didn’t really feel welcome.

I want to go back to work so bad.

It is a top notch facility. The fitness staff is very friendly. I look forward to coming to the gym. I have had Jeremy M. train me and he is very knowledgeable and professional. I also felt as if he cares for my well being. He checks in on me when he does not have a scheduled training appointment. I highly recommend him!

Ive been going to BAC for over 2 years, mostly in the early mornings. Facilities are the best in the area, though the membership cost reflects that. Minimal number of hulks / barbies . . . mostly just normal people like you and me looking to stay in shape. Good weight room and aerobic equipment, though there always seems to be a bike or Arc Trainer under repair. Pool is nice, but getting a lane in the morning or evening can be challenging. Youll typically end up sharing, which is pretty intimidating if youre a novice swimmer like me. It would be great if they had some type of a reservation system for the lanes. It would also be great if they enforced their modesty policy a little more aggressively. Some members seem to think that theyre in their old college sports locker room. Not big issues, though. Staff are super friendly and they have some really knowledgeable trainers. I havent taken any of the classes yet, but there are lots of options available within the cost of membership. Lots of programs going on throughout the year as well. In summary, it has its flaws but youd be hard pressed to find a better gym in the area.

My first visit was for a massage. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All areas were very clean. It looked like everyone coming and going were happy. My massage was excellent! I will definitely come again.

A bit expensive but an upscale gym with several group classes and throughout the day. Not sure about the afternoon and evenings but the morning visitors are polite and easy to get along with. The instructors for the group classes are great based upon the morning instructors and the various substitute instructors. Gym includes a pool, free weights, cardio machines, strength machines, and a 1/8 mile indoor track. The locker rooms include a cold plunge pool, hot tub, steam sauna, showers and full length lockers.

Paid for the guest pass. He loved the facility so on our way out I stopped by on the membership sales offices to get a packet of information. They used to have facility info and a free pass inside. I mainly wanted to get him the info for his spouse to try.Was rudely told that I should have them come in for a tour and then then well give you the pass. No offer for the information or anything. No thoughtful explanation or any attempt of customer service. Essentially she couldnt be bothered to do her actual job.I was embarrassed by her lack of professionalism. I was hoping for the bare minimum of service for a possible 3 new members. I really wanted my friend to join. No enthusiasm, no fake sales demeanor. Just her terse response in a condescending tone. Like I was trying to pull something over on her. Unacceptable.

This is a really nice and kinda quiet place to work out...they have all the equipment and exercise personnel on hand for you. A split level unit...b-ball, raquet ball, swimming downstairs and weights and mills and stair climbers, etc.on the upper level.

Fantastic club facility with instructor led classes for all fitness goals. Great staff and members overall. The only thing missing is Tennis court(s).

There is one lady who works in membership who for some reason is very rude! I love this place tons and will continue to go regardless of the attitude of that particular staff member. She decided to be super loud and rude about some problems I was having with my account causing the rest of the staff and some members to stare in my direction. I have never had a problem with anyone else. It took my husband everything in him not to call her out on how rude she was being to me.

Its very hard to play basketball here because they sometimes have a yoga thing going on the court even tho there are rooms meant for yogo or whatever it is but the rest is perfectly fine

I go to Physical Therapy here. The first time I went, I was super nervous, but as I sat in the waiting room, and saw how the staff were treating their patients, and looked out the Windows at the beautiful view, I relaxed quite a bit. The staff actually care and treat you with respect. Now I love coming here, no matter what torture they have in store for me. I love joking around with the receptionists and therapists alike, and feel they really listen and root for you to succeed. They also dont crowd people in, which is nice, because when I am in pain, I dont like being surrounded. I couldnt have asked for a better place to suffer in lol!

Do NOT pre-pay for classes here. If they have to cancel your class and issue you a refund they take their time, sending it down the chain. I have been waiting a month for mine now and, of course, the person who submitted it is on vacation. The person who I talked to today could only tell me that it takes this long because Bronson is so big. She could not give me the contact info for the department that issues refunds, so that I could find out the status of mine. She would not contact them on my behalf to get me more information. I am pregnant and all I want to do is find another class to sign up for but I cant because of the money that is tied up with Bronson. I will NEVER sign up for another class here again! Their lack of compassion for my situation spoke volmes as to where I stand.

Was here for water therapy. Nice place. Locker rooms are clean. Too bad its so expensive. They have coffee area, small clothes shop and deli, with healthy choices.

Classes are amazing and instructors are higly qualified. Classes are also fun and well planned. Management and support staff lack communication though and that reflects. I received an email about an offer and the local staff had no clue about it and their answer was...oh that comes from corporate. So what does it mean I said?! They all started discussing in front of me and when they finally adressed they told me to wait for a call. It took 3 days!!! I registered because of bidy pump classes at 1030am on saturdays. Shortly after i joined they changed the time for 8am and 9am making it not possible for me to do the class!!! I spent a total of about 700 dollars in 3 months there and left unsatisfied. I recomend the classes but be on top of your rights and do not enroll in auti pay as they often double charge.

Once Kalamazoo/areas premier 5 star fitness facility, the frequent cancellations of classes and pool closures due to staff availability are a problem that is damaging the previously excellent reputation of BAC in the community.
