I havent been in lubbock to long but everytime Ive got an issue that comes up with my malibu I take it to Daltons. Theyre straight up guys, dont talk much or waste any time, and get the job done very well.

Service was great, but even though they didn’t have that many cars the day I needed their services it took them 4 hours to do something that was expected to take an hour.

Great service. My check engine light came on as I was driving back to Dallas. Daltons was recommended to me by my brother. I was in and out of their shop in two and a half hours. With new spark plugs and injection coil. They were super busy but were kind enough to get me on the road again. Thank you.

I have used Daltons over a time span of about two years. I love how they treat me. They dont use terms I cant understand and never hesitate to answer questions professionally. I never feel like their prices are unfair. If something isnt quite right, I bring it back to them and they are fair on whether I get charged again or not. They take care of what work they have done, and are honest about if something is a different part or not. I have been super-satisfied with how theyve taken care of my car. They know Im busy, and they honor that. Thats why I was excited when one time when I had the oil changed, they noticed that the Inspection was due to be done, so they took the initiative and got it done. Also, Im grateful they can run me to work when I drop off my car. I trust them completely.

The guy at the front counter Irvin always has an answer for any questions I have and if he doesnt know the answer he always gets it for me in a very timely manner. There will be a long wait, they will be short and angry at you as if You intended for your car to break, and they will overcharge. I live very close to the shop and have taken my previous truck there when I busted my tie rods. They were rude and took forever to even look at my truck. When I got a new car I had something leaking from the engine. They had it for a day and a half to tell me it was coolant and I needed to replace the water pump. Just like the other review said. Something fairly easily to diagnose. I knew I had a wheel bearing out so I asked about getting that fixed as well. I also needed parking break shoes. They quoted me at $1040 for parts and labor. I decided to find the parts and do the work my self. I found the parking shoes for $70 (they had it as $150). They wanted $350 for a wheel bearing that he said was a better one than the one that I found which was $70. Needless to say they will find a way to get more money out of you. I will not be returning.

After an estimate for repairs I had doubted at another establishment, I took my car to Daltons. My car was checked over and necessary repairs have been made. The cost was much more reasonable and I am confident that nothing was charged unnecessarily. This was my second time ever to visit Daltons, but I found I can trust their judgment once again. I learned my lesson.

Ive taken several cars here over several years and never had one problem with their timeliness or service. Its always a pleasant experience and they always give the lowest quote. I normally call four or five places before taking it there; they havent let me down yet.

They did a great job on fixing my car and the price was price was a fair one as well.

Took in my moms car to see how much it would be for them to replace the negative cable. I drove the car there and waited a bit.. after a while the rep said I had two options. 1. to buy a cable that the manufacturer made or 2. buy a replacement cable.. the first option he stated would cover over 1,000 and the 2nd around 88 dollars. They finished taking a look into the car I decided to check elsewhere. I come to find out that now the car wont start.. so I look under the hood an they completely undid the wiring for the batter to start the car and didnt bother to tell me what they had done, nor offer to assistance in helping me get the battery cable reconnected as it was when I drove it in. It took me a little over an hour to finally get it running and decided to look up this part that the rep had mention... as I checked and DOUBLED CHECKED. That part only ran between 7-8 dollars.. so they wanted to charge me between 80 up to 1,000 for some cable where as I found it for as low as 7 dollars. Plus the undid the wiring for the battery as well an did not bother to fix what they had undone.. at the end of the day.. IM GLAD I DID NOT HAVE THEIR OVER PRICED SERVICE.

So far its taken them exactly 24 hours (kept overnight) to tell me my coolant was low. Something I told them going in and something even Walmart would be able to detect. Ive had to call them for every update only to find out theyre just about to find out

I had my transmission oil replaced and my filter replaced by Daltons. Five months later my car is stalling and not properly accelerating. I took my vehicle to A-1 Automatic Transmissions on 34th street and they assured me my transmission was fine and that my transmission oil was low. How could that possibly be with Daltons just having replaced it five months ago??? We took it back to Daltons because they supposedly warranty their work. Daltons told us that the transmission needed to be completely replaced and that the oil was actually too full and that they would call me with an estimate. Of course, no call back and its been over one week now! I took it back to A-1 and they had to replace the filter since it was improperly installed at Daltons and had to replace the oil because it in fact WAS LOW! Daltons complete and utter disregard for properly doing their job could of cost me thousands of dollars because of their lack of knowledge in doing a simple task such as changing the transmission fluid. And I agree with the previous post, we had to wait almost two hours just to get a price estimate! Daltons has terrible customer service and are incompetent when it comes to transmission work! I highly recommend A-1 Automatic Transmission off of 34th street here in Lubbock! They are qualified, very conscientiousness and extremely helpful. They have gained a new customer!

Got my trucks water pump fixed there and thought I was going to have to get another truck the bolt hole on the block for the water pump was broken off they tapped enough out to get that bolt to hold and put some thread sealant on it and its holding great saved me money I didnt have to buy another truck thank you daltons and great service by Irvin on the front desk who really knows what he is doing

Okay, took my car in because the AC wasnt cooling. Cost $170 for Freon and dye. Couple of months later, stopped cooling again. This time its $750 for a whole new system. Drove the car a couple of miles down the road, and its blowing hot air. Took it straight back, and apparently there was a leaky O-ring. Two weeks later, it started blowing hot air again. Ive spent $930 and have been in FOUR times so far....and the last time I went it, the manager says oh, good lord and rolls his eyes when I tell him its not cooling. Ill NEVER EVER EVER go there again.

I was in town on business and my radiator blew 1 mile from here... a local tells me Im in luck. Drove in drive where it stalled out again. Figured I would have to fly home and come back and get it as they were so busy. They pulled it straight in the garage at 1. .. new radiator, hoses and thermostat and was ready at 4! These guys are awesome!

Today when Discount tire on 82nd and universitytold me I needed a new tire because it had a big slice inside the tire, I called Irven at Daltons and he said they would take a look at it. He had a service technician on it fast and it was a very tiny hole that could be patched. Very nice to do business with honest people. I will be back !!

$2200.00, a lot of down time, brought the truck back twice and my fleet trucks front end was still not repaired. Speciality Auto Repair off I-27 will get your Ford super duty fixed up the first time. Daltons will not be getting any of my fleet again.-Fleet Manager

Mr Evans, you were told you needed a wiring harness. You did not want to spend the money to fix the truck correctly. You asked to keep the diagnostic charges at a minimum and to keep it at a minimum you told us you were ok with us working on it between other vehicles. Since you did not want to buy the new wiring harness as we suggested, your only option was to buy a used one at the wrecking yard. You had also already disassembled the dash before you came to our shop which makes our job more difficult. The actual dates your truck was at our shop was October 19th until November 21st. That doesnt look like 3 months to me.

This was the absolute worst place i have ever been to. They were very nice to began with but after a week i didnt hear anything on it so i called they had no idea what was wrong with it. They called and told me to go to wrench a part after 1 month being there and several phone calls because they wouldnt call me so my truck was just a little side project to them they do stuff on it when they want to.it took them another month to splice that wire in and found out that wasnt the problem after another month ... at month 3 now.. i went in to get my truck they have found out nothing and all they have done with it is cut off something that was still good and put on another one they still have not given me anything on what was wrong with it i tried to get my truck back they charged me $180 and was extremely rude twards me about paying it all that was wrong with my truck was the heater didnt work got the truck back my batteries were completely dead the check engine light was on my programmer didnt work i payed them $180 for them to tare it up even more than it was when i brought it in they never called me i had to call them and it was there for 3 months i called to tell them what all was wrong with my truck then and they said it was like that when you brought it in got mad at me and was arguing with me.. extremely unprofessional they have no idea what they are doing and compleat jerks i will never be back there and i hope none of yall will be going there i would never recommend them to anyone

Took my car here and they did an awesome job at a very reasonable price. The employees were very friendly and discussed what was wrong with it and what needed to be done to fix it so that I could understand it.

Daltons. Sigh...Daltons Daltons Daltons. You know what scares folks the most about taking their car to a mechanic? Getting half-assed answers to whatever is going wrong, getting scary estimates that assure you the problem CAN be corrected (when it maybe cant) and then having your poor baby die as a repercussion.My adventure started with an oil change gone wrong - we can get to that later. Or now? An oil change at a Boltons where they didnt frickin put oil in after the change. Yup. Sent me on my merry way driving a car with No. Frickin. Oil. In. It.Sounds pretty devastating, huh? So I asked around & someone sent me to Daltons. Spoke with Irven, who was very sympathetic. He took the car right in & assured me that they would let me know what was wrong quickly. So, a week later - yup - he lets me know it would be $786 to fix the issue. Ouchies. We knew this might hurt. So almost a week after that, my baby was given back to me with a clean bill of health. I drove away super relieved. But wait...what is that new noise? No. Thats definitely a new noise. Same day got the car back, I came back to see Irven. Irven who now thinks Im one of those attention craving crazies because Im back already. You said it with your eyes, Irven. He grabs his mechanic who actually specializes in my make of car, and the guy goes out to hear the new noise. Says, Oh! Thats gonna be normal for a day or two. Its because what we fixed is actually making the cars oil run smoother, so its just gonna clear itself out. Dont worry. It will stop.He was right. It did stop. The engine is blown. Everything stops when your engine is blown. Irven, who really wished I would go away at this point, graciously (with all sarcasm attached) offered to repair my car for another $800. Actually, I used $500 for a down payment on a new(ish) car, but thanks for the offer. Live & learn, but dont do it at Daltons.

I used this company one time and never again I asked if the took a certain kind of card for payment and they told me yes no problem and then when I get there to pay they tell me that they can not take it and then got very angry and disrespectful when I tried to pay another way like I did not have money to pay my bill I would never recommend these guys to know body
