Did not have any issues in the beginning. However, about a month ago I submitted a minor maintenance issue, did not receive an answer but due to COVID I was not upset. Two weeks ago, I noticed a small puddle, and I notified the front office that following Monday. I didn’t receive any sort of response so that following Wednesday I filed another one since the puddle had gotten bigger. That next day, one of the leasing managers messaged me about them coming in to fix it. I said that’s fine, but yet again I received no assistance that day or the Friday following. The following TUESDAY I messaged them again since the puddle was now in the hall, bathroom and laundry room. They responded Wednesday that the maintenance man was on his way, but yet again no one showed up that day or the day following. At this point I feel like I’m BEGGING to get some sort of assistance. Be cautious!
A lot of these reviews are from about a year ago so they are a little outdated. Great price and where I am extremely quite only issue is contacting the office and delay on maintenance but other wise great.
I wouldn’t even begin how to word this place.... 😷🤮keep you’re money 💰 and run!!!!!! 🏃♀️
There were roaches in my friends apartment and management did nothing about it. They came from an apartment two floors above her! (Clearly it was a serious problem). They didn’t reduce her rent, pay her back for all the food she had to throw away, when she complained to the office the manager was rude and said “I can’t promise you won’t see another one” really unprofessional coming from the management. Not a good look that they charge $900+ for rent and won’t even make people feel comfortable in their own homes. They just “dismissed” her like it was nothing.
Love the staff and the property!!!
Jen the property manager who’s last day is today is a great hard dedicated worker! I’m extremely sad to know that she’ll no longer be with the company :( it definitely won’t be the same going into the office to pay my rent! JEN PLEASE STAY!
My husband and I lived here for two months. When we took a tour, we loved the apartments. They were very nice on the inside, and the community looked great. We had an appointment to move in on Saturday, and when we arrived (U-Haul and everything) they were closed. We waited an hour and a half before someone came to open the office, and none of our paperwork was even finalized. After we moved in, we called the police 5 times within the two months we lived there. There were domestic violence issues, drug deals in the parking lot, and a constant smell of marijuana. The last straw was when there was a shooting right next door. When speaking to the office staff about our concerns, she stated that If you act like you are afraid to be here, it will put a target on your back. We paid to break our lease and move elsewhere. None of our complaints, or concerns were taken seriously. There was trash everywhere throughout the community, and maintenance took a lengthy amount of time to fix any issues we did have in the short time we were there.
I have lived here for two years, and am moving out this month. the units are nice and spacious, however..it took them 2.5 months to fix an air conditioning unit during the summer months. so, due to the inconsistency of the air conditioning being on/off..my electric bills were high and pretty unpredictable. the office isnt the best at responding in a timely manner, although i have noticed a lot of employee turnover in the office..meaning i have dealt with at least 3 different office employees, and i wasnt too impressed with 1 or 2 of those employees. not to mention, the children running around outside with little to no guardian supervision. basically every day i am bombarded with screaming, cussing, fighting and just rude behavior. some screams/yells are so loud and shrill, i often get up and look outside to make sure no one is seriously injured! i understand playing outside and being a bit rowdy, but with the way they make noise..one would think someone was in danger, and i dont like living with that feeling. also, with these children come huge amounts of litter and trash that i have removed from my doorway and stairwell and surrounding areas myself. it is honestly sad to hear and witness how they interact with each other..then i overhear their parents speaking to them using cuss words and other negative reinforcements..and i think..no wonder the kids are animals. i know the office cant do anything about parenting habits, but they can step in and reinforce the lease in which everyone here signed stating basically, that, you will be a respectful and courteous resident. i filled out their survey stating my issues, and from these other reviews i know that the apartment is well aware of the problems that continue to take place. overall, i dont really recommend living here unless you dont mind a dozen children yelling at any given moment, prevalent litter and little urgency from the office to fix any issues.
I have lived at this complex for only 2 months and I want to move so bad. These apartments are absolutely gorgeous and the staff seems to be nice, however, the residents that are being let in this complex dont value the property at all! I have had to call the police 5 times due to my neighbors blasting music until 11pm knowing there are kids that live in the building that have school the next morning. I cant leave my windows open ever because there seems to always be groups of people outside my windows yelling, cursing and fighting. My first night there, my kids and I wanted to sit on our balcony and enjoy the view and within 5 minutes my young children witnessed a violent fist fight!!!!! Also, it seems the parents just let their kids runs WILD! I came out of my front door because there was so much noise only to witness over 15 kids running up and down the steps attached to my apartment wall. I then asked them to please go play elsewhere as I was trying to nap, and they proceeded to curse me out and tell me to get back in my house. It also doesnt help that when I come out my door there is always enough food and wrappers on my steps to make a full meal, due to the kids just littering everywhere. I cant live like this! As I said in the beginning, these apartments are gorgeous, spacious and affordable for the size, but I cant foresee me and my kids staying another year paying $800 in rent and not being able to live peacefully. Its just not fair! I have reported these issues to the office and they say they will look into it, but the music hasnt stopped and the herds of kids in the hallways hasnt stopped. So who knows!
I lived here for over 5 years hoping it would get better and staying for the amount of space the apartment offered. I ended up breaking my lease and am so glad I did recently and am out of this place! The kids are completely out of control throwing rocks at cars, fighting, cussing, and screaming at all hours of the night. There are random creepy guys walking around at night to the point where I wouldn’t leave due to being scared to walk to my apartment from my car. They smoke drugs in the garages and the cops come atleast 2-3 times a day. I’ve had my car side swiped, windshield broken, and a huge scratch from kids bikes. The office does nothing and has no control over the property. They change office staff constantly and there’s no organization. The previous maintenance man was fired for stealing and 200$ of my money that was in my apartment was taken. Nothing was done for me. The electric bills are astronomical. You can expect to pay over 200 monthly. The dishwasher is horrible and does not clean anything. The tenants do not take care of their pets. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE! There are also dogs not on leashes. It’s extremely unsafe. There is trash everywhere and the dumpsters are so gross and over flowing. The grounds have trash all over them and they never bother to clean anything up.The final straw for me was when the Mold became so apparent in my unit. In all the windows, doors, and walls. I was constantly sick and I’m 100% sure now this is why!! When they flip the apartments they just cover it up with new paint and call it good.Do not live here. Find another healthy option.
Terrible place to live. Very noisy, even though you need to work the next day. and when you tell the office they do nothing about it! Kids run around all hrs. of the night. Management does not know what they are doing! Grounds are messy. If you like the ghetto this is the place for you.... Smoking and drinking outside everywhere! Why smoke and drink in your home when you can do it outside in the hallway... Loud music all night long! 😡😡😡😡😡
Woke up Friday morning and water was all over the floor my water heater had went out. Made a call and left a message not knowing what to expect, not even an hour later there was a knock on the door and within hours I had a brand new water heater. It took several steps to complete the job, but everything was done in a timely manner
While I have never lived here my aunt did. When we visit I did notice the trash and dog feces in certain areas. It was mostly quiet in the area she lived in. However, my biggest complaint is the phone is never answered. I have wanted to live here for a while but the phone is never answered. After these reviews I will look elsewhere.
I’ve emailed twice trying to find out more about the property and no one has bothered contacting me. I’ve called twice during hours and left a voicemail still nothing. Your reputation and rating are well deserved
Horrible place to rent. The amount they tell you is never what you pay. They are scam artist. Place looks good from the outside only. People in office have no idea what they are doing. No upkeep. Can hardly ever get a hold of management. People smoking drugs right in front of your door. No regard for kids. No regard for others property. If you complain to management they always throw it off on someone else. If I knew then what I know now, I would not rent from this company.
Where do I begin? Broken meter, forcing us to pay far more money than we actually owed per month, forcing us to shut off all electricity to our apartment so we didnt use so much (not), and they insisted we actually used that much electricity (until it was fixed). Mouse poop, gross water, gross everything. Loud, unruly people. Dog poop on the grass everywhere. Marijuana through the vents from above us. Not at all a great place to live. Pretty glad we left about a year ago.
Looks like a gorgeous apartment to call home. But too bad there seems to be no one that knows how to answer a phone. Moving in 6 weeks and Ive left 3-4 voicemails in this past week. During business hours mind you!! Seems they are always busy and dont call people back!!
I am a current resident, who cant wait to leave! This place has really gone down hill. Theres not a night of the week that I dont get woken at 4am because of people outside my window yelling or screaming. Ive called the cops so many times Ive lost count. There are kids who run around and scream through out the corridors and parking lots unsupervised by their parents constantly. Ive even caught them throwing rocks at the cars for fun. There are several broken down cars that are in prime parking locations that are just sitting there for almost a year now, theres even a dune buggy. Management refuses to tow any of these cars away, even though it says theres a 72 hour limit before they tow written in the lease.Management knows of all of these problems and hasnt done anything to remedy them. There isnt a week that goes by that I dont see drugs being dealt or smell the use of them in the corridors. Almost every time I leave or come home I have to walk through a group of men that loiter the entrance. Its not good feeling at all.I no longer feel safe here. My gf has now asked me to get her pepper spray so she feels more safe coming home as well. If youre reading this, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This place is getting bad quickly
When I first moved in I thought, sure the reviews are bad but you just cannot beat the floorplan and amenities in your apartment. Dishwasher, disposal, central air, washer dryer connections, walk in closets. Sounds amazing right? It is until you encounter the mold, colorful personalities of the other tenants, drug addicts, mentally unstable maintenance men, fire department here on the regular, and the police dispatcher who laughs at you when you call to complain.Drugs here? Yes. I thought I could tolerate it since it just seemed like a weed thing, that is until the meth bust happened at 1:30am one Friday morning.Speed limit 5pm, more like 45mph. People drive through the complex as if they are competing for Nascar. My car has been hit twice and Ive almost been ran over countless times. Get familiar with the sight and smell of trash because it is everywhere. Even if it makes it to the dumpsters, the sizes and amount for the people here is not enough. Snow removal? Apparently only when and how they feel like it. The pool wasnt filled till mid summer. The basketball hoop is gone. Lots of random inspections. Maintenance may come in, they may not, or they may just try to come in after the posted date while youre standing nude in your bathroom about to take a shower. If you address this or their weird behavior in any way they may get hostile or even violent. Then theres the tenants! Some are ok, but the others will make you absolutely miserable. Random people will frequently knock on your door at all hours, some even try to get in. Theres nothing like aggressive knocking and seeing your door handle move at 2am, really keeps you on your toes. I hope you like music, especially when youre not even playing it. The apartment will shake like an earthquake from the running, jumping, pounding, and door slamming. People screaming at each other in the parking lots. Women screaming at their kids. Meth heads have meth friends who tend to hang around the parking lot doing strange things. Summertime here should be called kid screaming time, youd think theyve lost a limb. I had a 9 year old call me a fing b**** because I told him to stop throwing rocks at my windows. The swearing that comes out of these kids is impressive. If youre interested in high speed internet, good luck, youll get Att speeds slower than cell phone data. Did I mention the electric bill? Dont be suprised because its going to be high. But the real highlight of my stay here and detriment to my health has to be the mold exposure. The complex apparently remedies this through denial and a thick coat of paint. I started getting sick within two months of moving in, and have progressively gotten worse.Theres even more stuff I havent listed, but I think this about sums it up. If you do decide to live here, or are a current unhappy tenant such as myself, I suggest that you document and take pictures/video of everything for your records, and only correspond with the complex through email.*Dont be fooled by the Canterbury replies. They will not care about you as a tenant. They will call the mold a discoloration. Also, the way they decide that there is an actual noise violation is if they have video proof. Other than that they do nothing. They also dont follow court ordered settlements. I had my rent reduced due to their negligence and they still dont follow it. This place is hell and I implore you if you consider yourself a normal mentally stable person, do not live here.
Canterbury does not answer their phones. If they cant even complete that basic task, I dont trust them to handle any issues in a timely matter.
I have lived here for 3.5 years and the office staff are very inattentive to tenants needs, children arecompletly out of control, vandalism runs rampant, and the sheriffs office basically needs a substation here due to the quality of the people who are approved to reside here. The apartment buildings themselves and grounds have the potential to be very beautiful if the correct decisions are made by the front office staff!!!
Absolutely a terrible place to live! I am in the process of breaking my lease as I speak. For months Ive made constant complaints about the upstairs resident and called the police more than I can count. Management refused to fix the problem. You can never get ahold of management unless you send an email, and thats even rare for a response, but bet your bottom dollar they have enough time to respond to these bad reviews. Drugs being done all over this property, and odd individuals standing outside your door. There was even people pulling out guns pointing them at the buildings. Dont even get me started on the police cause they will not even file reports when they come to this property. Avoid this place at all cost especially if you value your safety.
So sad to here that jen last day will be Monday she has been wonderful to me with getting things caught up with the complex that the past employees could not thanks for you working over and beyond some days to make sure things got done all I can say is I hope that who ever takes your place works as hard as you did to keep this apartment running right so sad see go hopefully things change and you are able to stay here
I just got a new car and they needed proof of living arrangements and Canterbury told them I was $1300 past due when I was current on rent and didnt need to make another payment until 9/01/18. Now Im being told by that Canterbury payment system is messed up and some people are showing they are two months behind on rent when they are not!
