Worst experience ever renting a car. The place is run down, staff was rude, and the car smelled so badly of smoke, we ended up buying 2 different air fresheners and needing to leave windows open at all times to breathe. There were quite a few scratches on the car, and while it was only a couple years the appearance and smell made it seem like it was 3 times older than it really was. If we had more choices on places to get cars from, i would have never picked this place and would have been willing to pay twice as much for a better experience.
BEWARE ‼️ MUST READ‼️ Horrible experience‼️ Take Videos and pictures of the car before you drive it off the lot! I reserved a Mini-Van thru the Hopper. I barely drove 6 miles and 5 lights on the dashboard lit up with Check Engine, Brake, AirBag, SRS & ABS lights. I had to return the car. They charged me a full day because I drove the car off the lot. I refused to accept this so I asked to speak to the Manager. Claims he’s out of the office and she has to call for approval. Because of my persistence they credit me back.The NEXT Day I get an email from Ron (MGR) who was there in the office the day before but did not disclose he was the MGR. He has 7 photos of DINGS and DENTS he claims I placed on the car and I will be charged for. I respond to dispute charges.Following day I get an undeliverable mail. The email I responded to goes to a Do Not Reply box. WOW! Seems like this is a SCAM ‼️ and has happened before! I then email Ron directly and the ALLSAVE/FOX to dispute all charges! Fortunately, I have my own DETAILED VIDEO of the condition of the car prior to leaving the lot. My video proves these photos were bogus charges‼️ They finally released all the charges - almost $600 because I threatened to sue. But how many others were not a fortunate as me.
When we reserved the car we got an email with all information on it, except what time they close. Our flight was delayed 30 minutes. When we landed, and turned on our phones, we had a text saying the shuttle was on the curb waiting for us.We called as soon as we got off the plane and were greeted by an automated message saying they were experiencing a high volume of calls, and to leave a message and theyd call back. That was at 505pm. We then looked at the website and it says they close at 5. I figured the calls they were experiencing were other passengers from our plane.Over the next 25 minutes, we called several more times, with the same result. At 530 we decided they were not going to be calling us back, so we booked with another, more expensive rental agency.We are now at our condo, at 630pm, and have not received a call. I can only assume they left at 5pm, even though they knew there were customers on a delayed flight. Ive had the same problem with other rental companies in the past, but they have ALWAYS stayed past closing time to accommodate the late flight.Horrible customer service, leaving passengers stranded that way. Luckily there were other companies open, with cars available, even though the price was considerably higher.Ive had good luck with Fox on the mainland, but should have heeded the advice of the horrible reviews/rating here in Maui. The horrible scores are apparently justified.Edit: it has now been over a full day since the original phone call to Fox. They have still notreturned the call. Must be one hell of a high volume of calls.
Very nice staff! We were able to upgrade to a bigger car easily but that car was sensing low battery on the key fob. We went back and they exchanged it for the same model but newer, with no issues. We were also able to take a shuttle back to the airport upon returning the car. Thank you!
Very attentive and customer first type of shop. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted in our car. Check in and out were both extremely easy and there were timely shuttles from their location to the airport.
Rented a car for our work trip. When we arrived, had issues with not getting a shuttle bus from the airport so we had to pay a taxi to get to the business. They did not have the vehicle we reserved so they have us a smaller vehicle, for the same price. Sounds good right. The vehicle was fine, it was new and clean. Upon return of the vehicle, the guy operating the shuttle did not want to let us on. He was upset he had extra riders and told us he had to go check with the manager to make sure we had checked in a vehicle to get the shuttle.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Both my daughters family and my husband and myself rented cars back in march for our trip to Maui in July-August. We had our printed confirmation papers with us. When we got to Maui, the woman at the shuttle for Fox cars, said our reservations had been cancelled. No explaination, no recorse, no offer to help, nothing. We have been traveling to Maui every year for years, and we have NEVER had this happen. Basically they left us stranded with two children under the age of two. Fortunately, AVIS was able to help us. I WILL NEVER RENT THROUGH FOX EVER AGAIN.

You better stay away from this company. Their cars are mostly worn out. We have to change 3 cars. The first one very low tire pressure and there was a ticking sound on the engine when turning. 2nd car the audio was not working and a/c not working. They said they dont have anymore available cars so “just live it it” like what kind of service was that. And also, be prepared for 60 dollars detail fee for “too much sand” in the car. Might as well go to well known rental car who provide good service. For military personnel, they dont have military discounts. FYI; most rental cars give military discounts or car updates.
DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU! They have lack of concern for the customer, they phone numbers are all just machines. Good luck getting the help you need, youll just be thrown in circles. Spend an extra $50-$100 to get a car through a PROFESSIONAL company that cares more about the customer than these clowns.

They did not answer any of our phone calls or return voicemails we left. We tried calling several days in advance of our arrival to make sure everything would go according to plan and that we had all the right info. When we arrived the rental car company had already closed prior to our reserved pick up time (not sure why they allow you to make a reservation pick up after theyre closed). Something we could have figured out if we were able to talk to someone. Instead we had to get picked up from the airport and return the next day to be get the car(over an hour from where we were staying). It cost a pretty penny and when we went to pick up the rental car the next day they charged us the same price and were very rude.
Questionable business practices.I had a reservation with Fox through Priceline. It turns out it is actually Allsave and not Fox. I had reserved my car months before car rental prices skyrocketed due to COVID. When I arrived to pick up my car with two young children and after traveling 7 hours, they told me they had cancelled my reservation 6 weeks ago but were happy to rent me a lesser car for an extra $300. At this point I was trapped and had to give in. The customer service rep admitted the owner had been repeatedly doing this and they were not informing Priceline. Its a wonder what their motives were here.Edit: Adding more detail here since the owners response was not accurate and Google doesnt allow me to reply.1. My rental was from 7/23 through 8/7 - it was not over a month ago.2. My reservation was made through Priceline in early March, prior to rental car price surges. Why was my advance reservation one that therefore got cancelled? There were cars available when I arrived.3. I was forced to accept the extra insurance if I wanted the car. This was the deal you presented to me. I had no other reasonable options so had to take it at the time.4. I removed the word shady
Warning - Do Not Arrive Later than 6 PM. We did and contrary to what their phone message says there is no late pickup. When they close they are CLOSED! We had to take two UBERS to the hotel and one back in the morning to pick up the car. That being said they gave us a great car with a roof rack and the price was fantastic. Just the pickup was bad.

The lady who helped us was super friendly and gave us good ideas of places we should visit while in Maui. Despite other reviews our car was new and clean - spotless honestly. No bugs. Drove nice. Great gas mileage. Was only $9 a day to rent. Great value.no problems returning the car, super kind service again, they arranged a shuttle bus for us to get back to the airport and everything went super smoothly
DO NOT RENT FROM FOX IN MAUI!!! I made my reservation 2 months prior to my trip on Fox website. A week prior to the trip I get a text saying sorry your reservation has been cancelled a third party glitch. Now there are zero cars available in Maui the week we are going and we DO NOT HAVE A CAR! Come to find out there is a car shortage now in Hawaii and you can get top dollar for a car. I feel like they cancelled me so they could get more money from someone else. I could not get anyone to answer phone or call me back. I give them a ZERO!!!!!!!
Shame on Fox/Allsave rental cars. Fox/Allsave canceled our rental to raise the price for another renter without notification to us.We booked a rental car March 3rd, 2021 for a Maui vacation starting June 9th-16th. We arrived at the airport and found the shuttle to the car rental pick-up location only to be told by the shuttle driver we were not on the list he had to pick-up our rental. He called the office and they told him there is no car for us. We called the main office to see why and the only reason they had, after hanging up on me numerous times, was because the way we booked the car is why they cancelled it. We booked through Kayak.com. Two other groups of people waiting at the airport were able to get the car’s they booked. One couple even told us this was horrible and they had booked their car a few weeks before arrival, and it was expensive. The shuttle driver even knew this was a bunch of B.S.. Corporate sent me an email stating the maui location is only an affiliate and privately owned. They sent me a $50.00 credit.We ended up paying twice as much after a local car rental company overheard our panic and how upset we were. It was an older vehicle, at this point we were happy to get anything. We so appreciated the other company’s shuttle driver for calling twice to get us a car we tipped the shuttle driver $50.00.SHAME on corporate for allowing this branch to associate their name brand with this location and only compensate us $50.00 credit. Like we would actually book with them again. Is It too much for corporate to offer at the very least the difference from what we should’ve paid to what we did? And SHAME on the Maui Fox/Allsave rental car company for price gouging other people for car rentals. But most of all, SHAME on the person or people who made the decision to cancel our car with no notification out of greed in a land of paradise on our 25th wedding anniversary celebration.Fox/Allsave states customer service is a priority. SHAME for using this service claim.
I booked a car a month before our trip. I got a text message at 10:30 pm saying they had no car for us and there was a mistake in their computer system. This was the night before our trip. I’ve never had this experience before and did t even think it could be a possibility. Scrambling for a car the next morning during spring break I found one paying triple the price.It took you over a month to realize your computer error? So dishonest.
Sunsea did a great job of straightening out our reservation and even recommended a place for lunch! Melia was a super nice shuttle driver and helped with our luggage. Two great employees!
Friendly staff. Got an upgraded car because we got there late. Pick up is right next to the airport and they take you in a shuttle to pick up your car. Very small family owned looking business. Our car was just what we needed a full-size sedan for two
They cancelled my reservation 10 days before arrival. After reading the other negative review, I am so grateful they did. I had a back up rental at enterprise. guess I will be using that car. Thank God.
Fox is probably the worst company I’ve ever experienced. They don’t pick up their phones ever. Hours online are irrelevant. They left us stranded when we arrived and didn’t pick up at all the next morning either. Save your time and money. Highly recommend any other option. Walk, hitchhike, ride a donkey, literally anything but fox.
The worst car rental service ever. Car was crashed on one side. It was hard to close the door on that side, it all look not taking care off.Nobody answers the phone ever, even when I was trying to return the car, no response. No instructions to leave the car after or shutter to go back to the airport, truly unresponsive . Do not rent a car here, not worth it.They should be out of business to be honest.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! Cancelled my reservation less than 24 hours in advance. When I FINALLY got ahold of them the manager, Ron literally screamed at me for a full 5 minutes about how he doesnt want to help us and its not his problem. It was straight up verbally abusive and was beyond jarring. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!
Horrible representatives that kept hanging up on us when we arrived in Maui and they told us our car reservation number could not be honored and they did not have a car for us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I wish I had read the reviews prior to renting from this company. At least we didnt have roaches in our car,, which many other reviews mention. We waited at least 30 mins for the separate shuttle to the agency. Our first car had a tire warning light come on after a few days. Luckily we were less than 2 miles from the car agency so we returned it for a different car. The agent was very rude and appeared unsurprised by the tire light. She suggested we fill the tank before exchanging vehicles which we declined as the car was unsafe to drive with a tire light on of unknown cause. Both the first and second cars had incredibly dirty windscreens on the inside that made it difficult to see and took much windex to get clean. The first cars windshield wipers desperately needed to be replaced and made an awful noise. This is especially ironic since the agent told us they own the car wash in the same parking lot as their office. Our second cars transmission shuddered during gear changes and based on another review with pictures of the same dash with mechanical malfunction, I am grateful that nothing worse happened. They do not appear to maintain their cars at all and have poor customer service. Will never rent from them again. Also had to take a lyft to the airport as they do not accommodate early flights and there is no after hours key drop. Save yourself the hassle and potential safety issues and rent from a reputable company.

We had a confirmed reservation. We followed the directions to the shuttle stop per the text message. We waited for over an hour....Finally paid for a taxi to take us to the office and Bam... they were closed.
Let’s just say you get what you pay for and leave it at that. Next time it will be from Hertz, Avis, Dollar, Enterprise or any other major rental places.

DO NOT EVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL CAR RENTAL. My rating is minus 10 stars. I will spare all the excruciating details. Was given a 5 year old mustang with so many scratches and dents plus filthy inside. They did not have another car available. They said if we didnt like it, rent from another company! After a 11 hour flight, we accepted the car.Rented for 2 weeks to enjoy Maui. A part fell off the first time closing the roof and we had to pop on each time closing the roof. Upon returning this piece of junk, the agency had the audacity to charge of $150 US blaming us for breaking this part! We should have been given a discount not be charged. We now are disputing the charge without any cooperation from Fox Rent A Car.

Terrible service, do not rent from here! Id give a zero if I could. We called to let them know our flight was running late. Left numerous messages with no reply. Never did get back with us. We called them the next day and the best they could say is that it was good we got a car elsewhere.
The staff was helpful and nice. But the car was not nice. Usually the car feels like its pretty new. But this one had roaches in it! Ewe! I rented from fox in .CA and they treated me well. But I dont like roaches. Returned the car the next day and rented through another company.
Good. The transportation from the airport to the rental center was fast. Waiting time was minimal wait. The driver was friendly & assisted with my luggage. The ride from the airport to the car rental place was fast. I definitely highly recommend this car rental place.

I love the service, price for 3 days was great. I was able to book online with no problem, picked up the car with no problem, and returned it with no problem. It was a clean car with great gas mileage Ive never driven a Toyota but I was impressed. We only had to fill up once we were able to drive all over the island on a tank of gas.
I rented the only available minivan from this company for our vacation. I was worried when I saw the reviews, but my concerns were unfounded. The staff was courteous and very helpful both during pickup and return (I interacted with multiple people, and they were all good). The shuttles from and to the airport were on time and fast, and the drivers were helpful.My only complaint was the condition of the van. The key fob battery was very weak, making the door lock functions fail intermittently. One sliding door never opened or locked even though the car gave the beep sound that it was locked---that door had been left unlocked for two days before we realized the lock tone was not reliable. We had to open/lock it manually for the remainder of the week. The tires were not fully inflated either, which was easily corrected at a gas station, but shouldnt have been necessary. There were other age issues as well which I dont experience with the bigger rental companies (cruise control failed on the 2nd to last day, for instance). Took off one star for the condition of the car.Overall, Im satisfied with this company, and Id rent from them again without reservation.
If you are reading this prior to renting from this horrible company, please read all the reviews. I have rented many cars and I have never experienced anything like this company. The dirty car I ended up with, that took hours to get, with only 3 people ahead of me, did get me to my hotel. After checking in I got back in the car and it wouldn’t start. I spent my first evening trying to get ahold of someone, tried every number that I could find. Road side assistance never returned my call. The car sat until I finally got ahold of someone the next day. What if I would of been on the side of the road? The person I spoke with, I told her to please switch my cars. She said, oh you don’t just want us to fix it? I told her I just didn’t feel comfortable with this car and knowing if it breaks down again, There is no one to get a hold of for help. They did not bring me a car, they changed the battery and called it good. The “mechanic” left the keys at the front desk. The car did start so I drove two blocks to a beach, when I got in the car after about an hour, it hesitated on starting. I had, had it by this point. It took me another day to speak with someone, the manager? owner? Ron (that’s the name he gave me, I don’t think it’s his real name) told me they will not reimburse me anything and that the car is fine. He was yelling at me. When I went to turn in that day (because I needed a car I felt safe in) Ron had instructed his workers to charge me $800.00!!! After I realized this, I went back in, I was crying, People were staring at me, I am sure wondering what was happening. Ron then reimbursed me $500.00. They charged me $300.00 for 3 days for a car that didn’t run. NOT ONE PERSON at the company has ANY customer service. It must be a family, as they stuck together with treating me badly. One gal at the desk was laughing because I was so upset.They are all horrible. I hope this review helps others to not experience what I did. 3 days of my vacation wasted. Anyone wanting to take them to court, Please contact me.
DO NOT rent from this company if your life depends on it. If I could give 0 stars I would. We wanted a cheap car rental option and this is the one we went with. The car was infested with roaches and tiny bugs that bite. We were eaten alive and itchy within hours of picking the car up. We are in a tropical place so that is understandable but the customer service that ensued ruined our vacation. They ultimately charged us for the full term of the rental, wouldnt let us drop it off early, wouldnt pick it up without charging us $50, and were completely unsympathetic. We were stuck and couldnt get around while we waited for them to tell us that they didnt care that they gave us a car with biting bugs in it. We had to rent an additional car from another company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
Rented a car for over 20 days. By far Fox Rent A Car was the best price. I wish I could tell you what I paid but I can tell you it was quite a bit less than the second best rate from anywhere. My vehicle had a few dings on it but I could care less. I guarantee that next time that I come to Maui I will absolutely rent rent from this location. Since most flights back to the mainland are late I was able to leave the vehicle in the lot with the keys locked in. This saved me plenty of aggravation of hanging around the airport for 4 or 5 hours before my flight departure. I strongly recommend them.
These guys were amazing! Excellent service, convenient location for catching a Lyft or uber to the airport if you happen to fly out before the shuttles start. We rented a gorgeous convertible mustang for our stay and I couldnt be happier with our choice. There were no problems with pick up or drop off, the rates were competitive with other locations, and the car was spotless and ran great. Ill definitely be renting from here when I visit next time
Horrible Customer service iff something goes wrong, I have wasted countless hours on hold, and writing emails trying to get some documents for my insurance company (Copy of Damage Report, Copy of Repair Estimate/Fees and Copy of Rental Agreement) after my rental was broken into last november. Very long hold times and they do not respond when I message them online. The one time I did get through to customer service the service agent put me back on hold to talk to someone else and then that person told me I had to call the original agent again putting me back at the end off the on hold line....
The reviews scared me a bit.. But we had no problems. No roaches. I will say huge roaches are common on the island. Next time we come I will definitely use them again. Shuttle drivers nice..
My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we flew into Maui yesterday during the day. We picked up our car and drove it to our hotel to check in which was 45 min away. We went to go out later that night and when we got into the car I saw two bugs crawling all over the centre console. The light in the car did not work (of course) so we we used our cell phone to shine a light and there were at least 20 bugs (two different kinds) and they all went running. We both jumped out and were horrified. Even writing this review is making me itchy. We then took photos and closed the door and did not proceed to go out that night and went into our hotel to have a much needed drink. They must only come out when it is dark as we did not notice anything during the day. At this point we had only had the car for 5 hours and we took it from the rental company to the parking garage at the Kaanapali Hotel.My husband got up at 7:00 a.m. this morning to be there for 8:00 when it opened to return the car. They made him speak with Fox on the phone which took forever. We rented the car for 6 days and they would only compensate him for 5 days. This company honestly wouldn’t give him back the money for one day after we had to drive all the way back and return it, waste tons of time on our honeymoon and deal with something that is unacceptable!!!!! It’s disgusting and unprofessional. We rented a car on Oahu and the Big Island with a different company and had no issues at all and nothing but professionalism and the cars were so clean and in great condition! Most importantly no bugs!Needless to say I am still waiting for my husband to get back which is now going on 4 hours and he is being shuttled back to the airport to be picked up by another car service that he is now renting from. I would have gone with him but I couldn’t get back into that car.NO ONE should ever have to deal with this on their vacation OR honeymoon! Plus, such bad customer service. The money for having the car for one day was not a tremendous amount but it is about the moral of it. They should have went above an beyond and should have fully compensated us! Plus they should have saved us time and did this fast! Especially with all the pictures we took! Cars were dirty inside. Staff was friendly. No problem with the driving of the car. Took a excessive time to check in and it wasnt crowded. Their computer systems seemed outdated. Im not going to use again. Checking was fast and the drivers back to the airport were very good.
It was fine. We booked a mid size SUV but i guess because of the availability at the time of rental they gave us Nissan full size SUV at the price of Midsize. Well hope to rent a newer vehicle in future from you guys :)
BE AWARE !!! Cockroaches mostly under the car rugs but all over the place. You will notice them more at night. They dont take good care of the cars, they dont clean them. We had to change 3 times cars. During pick times you will wait at least hour and a half to get your car. Dont be cheap because I assure you, you will regret it!
Awful experience and terrible customer service. We arrived on time, 3rd in line, and waited over 1 hour for our rental car after customer service said it would be 10 minutes....The representatives forgot to follow up on our rental and after my husband followed up twice we finally get a semi “clean” car. Highly recommend against renting from Fox rental if you prefer to not waste time. It is not worth the savings!
I wasnt too sure the kind of service we were going to receive after reading the reviews. But overall it was pretty good. Our only thing was waiting for the van 20 minutes. We had to call and ask if their van was going to ever pick us up at the airport when we first arrived. But the representative apologized and it came shortly after. After that we had a quick check-in and the car worked well during our stay. Getting the car back, checking out and the ride to the airport was a breeze. Overall we were pretty satisfied.
Didnt have the vehicle I booked 3weeks prior to our visit. Made it sound like someone else had priority over us. A.C. didnt work very good either. Lady at counter was friendly.
First impression was horrible, the lady looked annoyed she was even there. When we got a car that had plenty of scratches and dents we went back in to let them know and sure enough they ensured us they will send us photos because they, already know. Email never came. Took the car down the street for 5 min and went to a local eaterie. When I got back in the car I saw a cockroach crawling on the seat. Sure enough I lifted the foot mat and the bottom was filled with 10-15 cockroaches. Took the car immediately back. The lady was surprised. When my husband complained that the car was never cleaned, hence dirty napkins in the glove box, she replied, this is (location) its humid, everyone has cockroaches in the car, I dont even eat and I have cockroaches in my car! I get it. Long live the roaches, but Im on vacation Im not trying to bring back roaches to my house. Sure enough they changed the car but the experience and respect I have for this business.

Terrible customer service and horrible attitude. They charged us for an extra day for being an hour late, and accused my boyfriend of driving the car when he was just simply cleaning the car to spare some time. Charged my credit card without my permission and threw the pen in my face to sign off on it. SO rude, these employees need some training on customer service skills. Had an amazing trip in Hawaii and was left with an awful taste in my mouth with this type of send-off. NEVER rent from these people even if the prices seem cheap, since they will cheat money out of you anyway in the end.
This place may have some of the cheaper rates but they fail to mention that it’s not located at the airport car rental building. They simply say to take the shuttle at a numbered location. They give you the business hours in the confirmation email, they close at 5pm and if you get in later someone will be there after hours. Well they never asked me what time my flight got in. Garbage
The shuttle bus stop ride over was good, the bus was clean and the driver was friendly. However, we waited around 40 minutes already, being second in line. Was never promised expedient service, however this is just unacceptable.
Arrived on Maui at 7 pm Fox was closed. Will never use them again Tried to call even after hiurs number got answering machine.
I made the mistake of giving what I thought was a local company my business rather than a better known international firm. I had rented a convertible for our Maui adventure and the car they delivered was a total disgrace both internally and externally, put it this way there was no room for any additional dings on the body work there were already so many. I thought it unusual that they insisted on taking pictures before we departed. The next day I called to exchange vehicles and to be fair they agreed without a quibble, unfortunately the replacement car was worse, the stains on the interior being so bad my wife insisted on sitting on a towel rather than the cloth seats. The only good news was the car did n’t break down.My advice, go to Avis.
Not great. The car we had was really old with breaks that screeched. The passenger window control was not working, and the headlights did not work with the dash lights. Lastly we weren’t told that their shuttle stops running at 5:30, so we were left stranded but this didn’t seem to matter to the people working there. Good price, but not worth the compromise. Would not use them again.
Rudest, most unpleasant rental car agent EVER! Really, really upleasant experience. We have dealt with Fox Rent a Car before and it was always a good experience. But this??? Complete no-go! Will definitely NOT rent with them any more!!
Tried them out for our yearly trip. Rented a minivan for 2 weeks. Everything went well and staff was friendly. The only difference between Fox and other brands was the shuttle pick up location at the airport is at the center island. I liked that they emailed jpeg files of existing scratches and dings at the time of pick up. All of those were minor and we had to look carefully to find them. Minivan was in fine shape with no issues at all.
I thought it was super easy and a great price! We rented online while at our condo, took a lyft to their location, the jeep we paid for wasnt clean yet so they upgraded for free to a better jeep convertible.. in and out in 20 minutes. Friendly staff!
First bad review I have ever posted! If I could give zero stars..... Long story short!!! DONT Use this Company unless you want to drive with insects in the vehicle!!! I usually always look at reviews first but, I booked my flights on Southwest then added a rental car with my flights... I just saw Fox listed and the cost then reserved on Southwest. BIG MISTAKE!! First, the van was all beat up inside and out. We didnt notice the bugs until that evening... My son went out to get something and came in and said the van was infested with tiny little bugs all over the console then saw them crawl into the vents, then saw them everywhere... So my wife was furious and afraid they had gotten into our luggage. Thats when I look up the reviews and saw that this is common with this outfit. If price is low- theres a reason!!!
Was looking for a rental car and found fox rentals. Easy to rent online however, I said I wanted a Jeep. After the reservation was made I saw my confirmation said Jeep or similar. I was not happy and was not able to actually speak to anyone about it. When we arrived at the airport we had to wait at least an hour to be picked up by the shuttle because they only had a little 15 passenger van and one driver. Now the driver was nice and apologetic but it was blazing hot outside and nowhere to get relief. When she finally arrived people were jumping in the van that didnt even have there luggage in the van and I had to end up riding in the front. No big deal until we got to the rental place. There were two people there to handle the rentals and only five customers. We again waited for almost an hour to be helped. While I sat outside waiting for my sister to finish up hey would bring all the cars to the front for you to pickup. When my sister came out we didnt have a car. So we looked around about and found a GMC Terrain.... NOT A JEEP! The car was running without the AC on and nobody said here you go. So we looked the vehicle over and took off. Now the car had several dings in it and NO window washer fluid which sucked because the windows were filthy. We bought some windex but it still didnt clean the windows. There was like some type of film on them and we couldnt get it off. I will stop ranting not and just SAY SKIP FOX RENTALS AND RENT ANYWHERE ELSE! THIS PLACE SUCKS ALONG WITH THEIR SERVICE!

Got a Jeep, wow. No central locking didnt know that existed still. Dirty car and seats, child seat had a cockroach jump out of it. Steering wheel smelled like fish. This place has only one shuttle and its not in the airport so you have to wait for shuttle to drop off and come back.Pay more rent somewhere else!!
I wish i could give no stars. Reserved minivan for 4 days for my family. Shuttle arrived promptly at the pickup. Counter service friendly and prompt. Got my Van and it smelled like dirty diapers and rotten cheese and there was a smudge of mud on back seat. There were also tons of dings and scratches, and over 45,000 miles. I tried to be open minded even though my children were complaining of the smell. We rode with the windows down to Safeway, and when I got out I noticed an expired safety check sticker. I jumped back in the van and drove to a couple of other rental agencies and was so thankful Advantage had a van available for my family. It costed me an additional $150 for a clean and legal van. When I took the van back to Fox, the girl at the counter didnt seem surprised and said someone stole the sticker. I told her that the paperwork in the compartment also showed an expired safety check. I tried calling the manager when I got back to Oahu, but they left me on hold for so long I hung up. I cant believe a rental company would rent a van I such bad condition and not legal. Such a waste of my time and bad way to start my vacation.
Do yourself a favor and go to a more professional place. These people dont understand any part of customer service. Shady
70 dollar upcharge for being over age? Even if you have insurance already!! Age discrimination at its finest... this company is a bunch of aholes. Enterprise is right next door... save yourself the headache.
Waited 45 min for a car. It was due all to the bad customer service. They took their sweet time getting my car. Seriously. It was right out side the shop window..... poorly kept cars. Do not use unless your desperate.
Horrifying. Waited almost an hour in line. Understaffed. Unable to multitask. If you have more time than money this is your spot.
Waited for nearly an hour for a shuttle, then took a taxi for $20 dollars. Check in took a while, the process also took forever. Although friendly. Drop off, was a complete nightmare and any service while renting the vehicle is non existent and incredibly rude! Dont book here start & end your holiday on a positive note.

The full size suv can barely hold 5 passengers and 4 pieces of luggage. It was advertised as 7 passengers + 5 pieces of luggage. Never again, go with Enterprise, trust me!
We reserved a 7 passenger van and ended up getting a minivan, we were packed in like sardines, they charged us $100.00 more on top of that. I wouldn’t recommend these people to anyone
ROACHES EVERYWHERE! Our car has swarms of roaches that crawl out of every crack in the dash and seats after dark (not exaggerating). Still waiting to hear back about exchanging the vehicle but it’s not looking optimistic after reading these other reviews.UPDATE:We got a hold of Fox after calling many times and they said we could come exchange our car (an hour long trip). So we did... and got a SECOND CAR WITH ROACHES.They didn’t appologize once and were very unsympathetic. The lady said “she would make a note of it” which sounds like they probably are used to this and don’t care.
We made reservations for a Jeep and received a confirmation for one. The next day, we got a call from them saying that they may not have a jeep and they offered us a convertible at a discount so we agreed. The next day I received an email confirmation for the jeep. First we had to wait 20 minutes to get picked up. While we were waiting, we saw the other car rental shuttles drive by 3 or 4 times before ours finally arrived. We showed up an they didnt have a jeep, or the convertible that they offered us (and guaranteed would be there). When i tried to explain that they assured us we wiuld have one or the other, the supervisor kept cutting me off and was being so rude. They told is to pick a car and they would call us when they had a jeep or convertible and we could switch. They never called us. After 2 days we decided to go with enterprise and they had exactly what we wanted (at a better price also). When we returned out car to Fox, they had a Jeep and convertible sitting in the lot. Such a waste of time and money. I will never use fox again and would advise against trust them with your car for your vacation. Rude, unprofessional, and a reservation literally means nothing there.
Dont rent a car from Fox in Maui, you may think you are getting a good deal, pay a little extra and use a different rental company. We rented a car and it was full of roaches I had to use a bug treatment to kill all the roaches.
I have rented cars plenty of times. This is first time I have seen roaches in a car. When I took the car back the associate looked as if he could not understand my issue with roaches. THEY CARRY DISEASES! When you have one you have a whole bunch somewhere. Fox/Allsave will not be receiving my business when we return to Maui.
We found out the morning of the day we traveled to Maui that Fox/Allsave Rent A Car closes at 6 p.m. Maui time (we arrived at 10:50 p.m.!!) I was worried, but was quickly offered an airport drop off of the car. Ashley immediately emailed me and started the process for a lightening fast contract signing. She was so fast and responsive, it was by far the easiest car rental process Ive ever had! Once the car was parked at the airport (when we were over the Pacific), they left a detailed voicemail as to the exact location of the car for both me and my brother-in-law, who was scheduled to arrive first. We paid $75 for the drop off but it was worth every penny to avoid an arrival disaster (and saved all the time you usually take shuttling to the rental location). And so far, the minivan was newer, clean and and we are happy customers! Highly recommend.
Cock roaches in the car. No reliable shuttle from the airport like other major companys had. You have to call ahead and request one, but I called 10 times and no one answered the phone.
Awful experience... paid for reservation and insurance through expedia weeks in advanced. When we arrived, they told us they dont accept that insurance and charged us an extra 300 deposit. One employee didnt even know the company policies and the one in charge was very rude and unprofessional. Staff had bad attitudes overall. Ended up cancelling with them. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
