Helpful staff. Great price and so quick. It was seamless in and out. Those are the best kind of rentals. Id highly recommend!!
The reviews scared me about going here but it was super easy and no issues. No line when I arrived around noon. Was a breeze getting our car. Had confirmation ready and everything went smooth. Wasn’t pushed toward anything. Take care of the car and return in one piece and you have nothing to worry about.
This was the worst rental car experience I’ve Ever endured. First stop after our flight to Maui, very excited about our trip and big birthday celebration that we saved for over a year. We are in line behind six people and it took over an hour to get our car. I had booked and paid online for it. I am a personal assistant and do this kind of thing every day in my work. Thought I was saving time finding a place that will let you pay and book online. Turns out the reason the line was moving so slowly is EZ car rental (which was far from easy) was up selling everyone in line. Insurance(that was not needed) and everything else they could up sell. guy at the counterapologized for the long wait but he was doing the up sell, part of their job apparently. I challenged it a bit but my husband fell for it. 205.00 turned into 505.00 in the end. Definitely ruined my first night there I felt so burned and ripped off. Never again with this company. Go elsewhere and ask questions as to not start your vacation in a one hour plus line when it wasn’t even busy.
Helpful staff, quick service, it was an all-around pleasant experience. Line was a bit long but all employees were answering questions and moving people through as quickly as they could. Word of advice: if youve made a reservation online or elsewhere; know what youve reserved and things will move along more smoothly for everyone. I reserved what I wanted online and once I made it to checkout I was able to give the guy my ID, initial and sign and be on my way; couldnt have been easier.
They took great care of us! They didn’t have the exact rental car that would fit all our dive gear so they upgraded us. We are thrilled with the upgraded vehicle and really appreciated their efficient team. The airport had completely lost power and phones and they still did a wonderful job and made our trip start off perfectly!
Definitely do not use these guys. Sounds inexpensive and easy... ha!! They had the wrong address and had us going in circles for 2 hours!!!!! Then, finally when we found the location- IN the airport, the estimate was not anywhere close.Dan- whoever he is was sorta helpful. But did not come thru as he said. It changes over to Advantage rental cars one you get to the airport. The salesman pressures you into buying their insurance. “ If you are in an accident, until the car is totally repaired, you are liable for it” when asked if our insurance covers the rental he lies and says NO! Again pushing the insurance. He then says he is “ upgrading “...The first 3 cars were horrible shape and they had already gave us a “free “ upgrade!!! Finally found a car suitable. Wow! What a horrible way to spend 4 hours in paradise.Then it gets worse. I emailed a complaint. No response. I called customer service- in Guatemala...-really? The man on the phone. (Same guy) came back on the phone saying he was the manager..so I call back. Now there is no manager. Beware!!!! Know your rights and don’t deal with this business!!!
90+ minutes waiting in line to collect keys for a pre-booked car is totally unacceptable. I spent more time lining up to collect hire car keys than I did flying from Oahu to Maui - literally. For goodness sake its 2019! You collect all our info when we book online, should take 30 seconds to scan our drivers license, toss us they keys and let us leave. Do better or close down your business.
I initially left a great review for this company, but had to update because upon returning the vehicle with a full tank of gas, I was charged $87 for returning the vehicle on an empty tank. I wouldve contested this on the spot with the return agent, but was given no indication there was a problem and was told the invoice would be emailed later. I contacted customer service about this when I noticed the additional charge, and was told I would have to send an email with supporting documentation that I filled the tank, and then maybe I would receive a refund. Terrible policy to force the customer to solve problems created by the company. I would heavily caution against using this company, as this seemed very deceptive, and its now 100% on me to fix. This has NEVER happened with the many other car rental agencies Ive rented from over the years. I will not rent from this company again.
HORRIBLE! Stay away! I don’t like giving 1 star reviews but this place will keep my going back to the name brand rental places. Online it said open air Jeep when we got there we were told it was a hard top and that “open air” meant you could roll the windows down!!! In addition the Jeep was in really bad shape too. It had definitely seen its better days. The staff was not helpful and didn’t care that there was a long line, all they wanted to do was try and up sell over and over again to every customer and it seemed every feature or “option” was an “add-on” money maker for them. I recommend avoiding this place.
My husband booked a car here for our honeymoon and the price agreed upon during reservation was roughly $550. When we arrived at the airport the wait in the line was over an hour long, only to find out that there were multiple hidden fees that increased the total price of the car to about $1200. Would NOT ever recommend.We ended up renting through Alamo for a total of $534. Thanks for saving us guys.
SAVE YOURSELF, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! We reserved an intermediate 4-door vehicle months in advance. The wait in line at OGG took FOREVER because not enough people working the counter. Then, we finally go to garage and our car is a small 2-door car. Soooo, stand on line at booth in garage (1 person) FOREVER to exchange for WHAT WE RESERVED. After about 45 minutes, had to settle for 6-passenger van. And we werent alone. 3 other families in front of us were having same issues! THEY ARE AWFUL!! NEVER AGAIN!! Id give minus stars if i could!!
Hands down the best car rental experience Ive had. Chipper was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs after being in a bind with our trip from Big Island to Maui.The staff at the return were also very accommodating friendly. I will surely be coming back to rent from this location.
Customer service rep Josh was friendly and easy to work with. Offered us the extra coverage but didnt pressure. Answered questions clearly. Put my family in a very nice new car. The whole process of picking up was easy, relaxed, and better than many rental counters Ive been to before.
You will stand in line for over an hour. Not worth saving the $20. EZ is Advantage which I had a such a horrible experience with in California (lied to, overcharged by nearly $100, not refunded) that I refused to do business with again. They changed their name online, thanks Cheap o air. Go with another company.
Pick up was quick with a very short line up. Left the family at the airport while I picked up rental car, highly recommend this as you then beat any line up from other passengers. Rental charges were very close to what was quoted at time of booking on Expedia. Drop off was also very fast with an immediate shuttle to the airport. Would definitely recommend using E-Z Rental in the future. Thanks for the great service!
This place is a joke, after a twelve hours of travel to get Hawaii, there were less then 8 people in line, it took 1.5 hrs to get a car. I had booked a car online, the car was not ready and was offered a free upgrade. My $280 cost somehow jumped to $600. This included the 200 deposit that was not disclosed anywhere on the Web when booking. Not realizing there was an up charge that when you sign the paper you apparently enroll in their insurance plan which is optional additional 200 bait-and-switch when you get there to pick up the car. The cost of the insurance was the price difference from what I selected to get the upgrade. Therefore, my upgrade was not free and they try to make you feel like you are getting a deal. They are doing you a favor? When essentially they are just tryin to screw you over. I will never, ever do business again with this company. Its really a shame because of all the corporate vendors I work with and how many people I am turning away from this service. When I brought this to managers attention, she said sorry you signed the paper, after explaining how I explicitly said I did not want their insurance and how I signed it they would not issue me back my 200 dollars. Keep in mind, I had preselected what I wanted online, they did not have my car ready, and then up charged me because of their screw up. Bad business guys! Just read the fine print when you sign anything with them. Your not sorry because you still have not issued me back for your mistake....
HORRIBLE! - total scammers. 30min wait in line and then I get haggled on additional, expensive insurance. The agent told me that my Expedia, American Express and AAA insurance was not good enough. The agent was forcing me to say that I would pay out of pocket for income loss due to the car potentially being in the shop for weeks, and how the rates can be expensive. None of my current insurance would pay this. The Expedia insurance was a 3rd party company in Canada that doesn’t respond and I would have to pay up front. I ended up paying 50% more than the original Expedia reservation because of fine print- that’s shown on a barely legible electronic screen. More expensive than National car rental!! To make it that much better- I get a POS Kia Soul with bad brakes. I’ll never rent from them again.
OMG. These guys basically forced the rental insurance on everyone else in the place.... Id was hilarious.For me... No thank you. Im not an idiot.I already have insurance, and if you book with any Visa, you are covered by their policy.
Great and easy process. Price was good also but beware they will charge you for spouse additional driver an dont tell you up front. We gave both our DL and they added a big fee. Most car rentals dont charge for additional driver if its your spouse.
Last trip to Maui last month the car rental agency (EZ/Advantage) cheated us. Agreed upon something verbally and wrote something different on the sheet. Offered us an upgrade (costing $400 more) and *said* they knocked off the second driver fee and the additional day fee as our flight took off 4 hours past the turn in time. Told us dont worry about whats written on the sheet because he put it into the system that well be dropping off the car a few hours later(David Garza). Well we were early dropping off the car. Got back home and a few days later saw bank statement that they still charged us an extra nearly $200. Regular customer service line told us they wont do anything and have no contact with the local office. I called the number for the local office last month and the girl Kanani picked up. I explained the situation and she said that the Manager David Goldberg wasnt in and hed call me back in a couple hours. That was a month ago. I have called to follow up over a hundred times but no one picks up. Just got a new credit card after someone stole our number and I dont want to raise red flags by reporting a fraudulent transaction again. Wish I could actually talk to the agent who set up our car rental (David Garza) or his manager (David Goldberg) so that one of them would fix the problem and refund the overcharged amount. Renter bewareI just received this response from them, which included NO phone number or way to contact them still, or receive a refund. JOSE was so friendly and made the process painless after a very long flight. I was on my way in no time. Gave me a sweet deal as well. Definitely renting here again when I go back.
Worst place ever to rent a car. We found a good last minute deal online and once we got there, they asked what was our insurance company name was. Without even looking, the person said instantly that our insurance did not cover the loss of use clause which he cant know because it is a canadian company. If we wanted the car, we had to take their insurance at 29$ US per day. We rented 3 other cars in Hawaii and this was the only one to add charges. We were threaten with big words like by law, we are allowed to charge you. Etc. We are tourists, out of our country, with no data nor time to access the details of our policy and we were pressured to take this insurance. This left us with a bitter feeling. We got screwed and it costs us an extra 150$ US for a 5 day rental that we did not expect to pay. We were not impressed with the service.
Received good upgrade due to the unavailability of the vehicle class i initially reserved. Customer service was good, some hidden taxes and fees were a bit of a surprise, but good experience overall.

STEER CLEAR. Worst car rental on Maui! I beg you not to book with them. They book under different sites online (we used wisecars) and have better prices than the competitors but not so low youd be suspicious. Then boom! They screw you when you get there. We ended up stuck with a bill 3x what we had booked online for.They have quite the insurance scam running here and zero 3rd party liability insurance for their own vehicles so be prepared for about $27 a day in case someone hits you while youre parked or anything else you are not liable for. Did I mention they have no loaner car if yours need repair, youre just without a car till its fixed or you have to go home.Im no stranger to Hawaii or rental vehicles and everything about this was red flags.
We are still dealing with EZ Rent a Car. We are currently on vacation. The customer service has not been helpful. They lack in communication. They have not called or emailed us back for confirmation regarding our flat tire and the return of the car. They have just passed us from one person to another. It has been the worst costumer service ever it should not take several phone calls to resolve the situation
Absolutely horrible company. The lower prices will lure you in, the experience will keep you away from them forever. They lie about the need to purchase their insurance VS. using the much cheaper insurance you can get through most booking sites. Yes, they lie and tell you that the insurance you purchased is not valid in Hawaii and this is 100% false.The car they gave us was scratched and dented and keyed. If I wouldn’t have marked the entire car as being damaged on the form they would have tried to charge me for it.I booked this company partially because it says pickup and drop off is at the airport. It’s not. You have to take a bus to and from this location to the airport.The lines are insanely long when showing up to get your car. The employees are slow and show no sense of urgency at all.Overall, a bad company with poor quality staff, shady business practices. The only thing worse than this company are it’s cars.

Rented a car here last minute. Service was great but the regular midsize cars are a bit worn and not the newest fleet. The breaks started squeaking on the second day but they quickly switched it to a higher class for free. A minor inconvenience because we were driving nearby anyway. So overall satisfied.
This was the second time I rented at EZ car rental in Maui. I repeated as there was a cost saving and perhaps one can say you get what you pay for! First, while other rental companies buses came by several times I waited 20 + minutes for the EZ bus to pick me up to take me to the office. As was the case the last time the line was out the door and I waited 45 to 50 minutes to get to the counter! By that time I was irritated and fairly abrupt. Did not want to hear any spiels about paying for the gas ahead of time nor insurance options. I got out fairly quickly at that point. I thought the car was not cleaned very well, but did not care at thatpoint. Overall care was on a par with other companies. May or may not go back, depends on other companies deals.
Good cars, we got a Kia Soul, it was fun. Lots of Jeep Wranglers. Expect to wait for your pickup, approx. an hour for us and seemed just as busy late at night. The driver to/from the airport terminal was great, friendly and timely.
We had a terrible experience - we expressed at the desk that we needed our reservation changed by a few hours and they did not change it. Then we called to tell them they had made a mistake and they hung up twice on us and they charged us anyway for their mistake - I would never use them again. Although they seem cheap and inexpensive in the end it is not less expensive because of all the extra fees and hidden cost and the total lack of customer service.
I see that there is a lot of negative posts for ez rental in Maui, but all that I have to say is that they were amazing to me and my family! We were there for two weeks and decided to stay for another 9 days and they accommodated us just fine, even though it was last minute. With the same car. From the rental agents to the check in staff and management, they all are a class act 👏🏼👍🏽!!! Thanks again!! Im going back in Jan and in June of 2017 and I wont use anyone else!!
This rental car company is horrible. I give two stars simply for cost and a good quality vehicle. Other than that, I will never go back to them. They offer a low price, but then try to squeeze all the money you have out of you. I prepaid already so I shouldn’t have to pay anything except for a security deposit. They then said the 4 door i rented wasn’t available and they only had a 2 door. Well i paid for a 4 door, but i am not paying more money. So just whatever you have for what i paid for i guess. He then goes on to offer all these things and I say no to everything. I repeatedly told them I did not want any additional insurance, or other add ons they were trying to give to me. After saying no to everything i still ended up with a 4 door with no extra charge. It was as if i would have accepted one of the “add-ons” he would have thrown in the “upgraded” car. They then proceeded to charged me $550. I left because I was in a hurry from the airport. I then went back to find out they gave me all the add ons i didn’t even want! They cancelled it, but just super inconvenient, very long line, bad customer service.
All the bad reviews really made us be wary of this place at first. The only part that was an inconvenience was the line but our sales associate Jose was very accommodating to our needs.
Didnt like that you have to pay additional fees on top of what we paid already online during the reservation. car had a lot of scratches, but made dropping off the car a lot easier as they noticed all the scratches. Car was in good condition, guy at the counter kept pushing me to get a bigger car as he kept saying my stuff wont fit. he was wrong. didnt like how pushy he was.
I would have given zero star if I could have. Please do not rent a car from this place. I had such a horrible experience. GREGORY was the name of the employee who didn’t give my only ID back. Booked a premium car and got a beat up charger that didn’t even have a back up camera.Went to check in to my hotel and realized Gregory did not even give my only ID back. Drove back to the rental again and saw that guy leaving at the parking lot. I told him he didn’t give my ID back and he insisted that he gave it back to me. He did not even offer to even look around. Went inside and told the other guy at the counter. He looked for one min and goes leave me your address and if we find it, we will let you know. He then said look around yourself. After looking around for 15 mins, I see the mgr and told him what happenned and he started looking. He found it inside the scanner. I was not gonna be able to check in to the hotel and get on my flight if it was not found.If you are the owner reading this, FIRE THAT SOB who made me go through so much stress!!
Good prices. Kind treatment, but little bit too much of bargaining after the rental was booked to fixed conditions. For instance I was asked to cancel the insurance and take a new one from e-z. So one star less for that.
All bad. This is a no name rental car service outside the airport. I booked online and wished I had gone with Hertz Avis or one of the other known rental places. Here it is, the office is crazy. There were easily 100 people waiting in the slowest line ever to pick up their cars. Want to ruin your vacation on the first day? Then you need an EZ rental car. Use a normal rental car service, not these lolos
After reading the not so positive reviews for E-Z Rent A Car on Maui, we were ambivalent about renting from them. However, we took a chance and we were so glad we did. This was one of the best experiences weve had from A-Z! Two years ago, we used a different company and it took us an hour and a half to get our car. We realize that a lot of people arrive at the same time on Maui so this can happen at any of the car rental companies. However, at E-Z, it only took 10-15 minutes! Fernando was so pleasant to work with: yes, he did try to upgrade the car and yes, he did want to sell us extra insurance which we politely declined, end of story. Again: thats their job and other companies do that as well. The car was what we asked for and in excellent condition. When it was time to drop of the car, it was just as fast and the shuttle was there to take us to the airport. We got charged what we had agreed on and it was by far the best price we had come across when we were shopping for a rental car. I can highly recommend E-Z Rent a Car and will gladly use them again next time we go back to Maui.

WARNING! If you arrive late in the evening there is a good chance they will have stopped running the shuttle EARLY!! Our flight was on-time and we had carry-on luggage so were able to get to pillar #2 without delay. There were others waiting for EZ/Advantage(same co). 45 minutes later the 5 stranded groups shared the last 3 taxis to the EZ depot. We were met with extreme indifference from the guy in charge. His response was We have families too ya know. There were lots of other car rental shuttles running. Welcome to Maui.
To start with, sales person was very rude. He used all his tactics to get more money out of customers pocket. Suggested that roads are not good and must need a 4 wheel drive but that was not the case. He suggested to get insurance and told that my insurance company is not covering insurance on rental cars for Hawaii state. They gave me a broken car which was not clean, making noise when you apply break and after using one day, it started showing engine light. When I went for return, he was not ready to give me similar car (for which I paid extra) until I started sharing my concern with other customers at location.
When I rented the vehicle I told the representative that I didnt want insurance unless it was required. He told me it was so I got the minimum insurance required, which upon returning my vehicle I was told it wasnt required. This caused my price for the car to almost triple.The car was was good and got me around the island, no complaints there.
Dont use them! Bait and switch. You reserve a car for a certain price, but when you get there the car is not available. However, for another $ 60 a day they will be happy to upgrade you. So, there you are, over a barrel. With all the extra cost we paid double what we thought we would pay! Never use these pirates!!!!
Horribly slow customer service. Continually lied about insurance and tried to up sell us. Then we were directed to wait outside and our rental car would be brought to us. Guess what, more waiti g...... Hands down the most unprofessional rental company we have ever encountered. BEWARE, rent somewhere else.
I dont recommend this place. They bamboozled me into getting this unnecessary insurance. They chose not to educate me on what I needed. Credit cards tend to cover loss of use damage. And Im not sure its even ethical for them to charge customers for this. Anyways, I was manipulated into buying their unnecessary insurance. They chose to charge me $144, for a week for that. I just felt really cheated by them. I did not need that insurance. They manipulated me. Theyre not a car rental company that works with customers to give them the best price. They delight in exploiting their customers. Crooked.
E-Z Rent-A-Car gave us a really good deal and were very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely use their service again.
We went thru 3 cars. All scratched, parts missing, dirty full of sand. They want to make sure you know you will pay for time car is out to be fixed. Anything insurance wont cover then they give you a messed up car!! We finally took this VW. It was missing car mats. I had to bring it back 3 days later cause it was smoking oil. Make sure to fill out damage check!! They see a scratch you dont mark theyll try to charge you for it!!
Be very careful and read all info do not trust the workers. When I went I was quoted a great price and was told that when my rental was returned the quoted price was going to be the final amount upon return. When I called to happily extend my rental time I was told that the insurance was a additional 22 or more dollars a day and my car rental had gone up over a hundred dollars. When I called to try and make sense of what had happened I was told that the insurance that I was told to use was not free and came with charges. Upon return the worker who had helped me saw me and heard me talking to another worker about the situation he said it doesnt matter he signed the paper work and was very rude in his comments! They did work with me and cut some of the cost but where rude about it. Im giving two stars cause they did work with me and the orginal price was good but please be aware to double check papper work and dont take employees word.

Worst place I have rented a car in the whole world. Here I had to pay 650 $ only in addition and insurance. Even though I had paid car and insurance at home, and when I showed them, they just became annoyed Here it is important to stay far away as possible and use a serious company.
DO NOT USE THIS CAR RENTAL PLACE! I would give them a ZERO if it was an option!We stood in line for almost 2 hours just to get to an agent. People we waiting upwards of an additional 30 to 45 minutes to get their cars after they signed agreements. We were given a car that was broken, we returned the car within 30 minutes of receiving it. They had no other clean cars to give us at that point, so we asked for our money back. We arrived on Saturday, it is now Wednesday they still think we have one of their cars and the charges have not been reversed. They also held over twice the amount of money they were supposed to on our credit card. This is THE WORST experience we have ever had renting a car!

Probably the worst car rental place ever. Okay so I live in Hawaii part time so I’m know as a “ local”. My car broke down so I thought hey I’ll just rent a car while my cars I’m the shop, because I need a car. So I went on line and I got a car. I went to the store to pick up my car AND THEY SAID “ we don’t rent to locals” bull! So now I’m carless. I’m mad!
This is a scheme, not a real rental car. Rented a car recently and the clerk would not allow me to take the car if I didnt hire a $45/day full insurance even though I presented him proof of having primary insurance from my US credit card. He got to the point of saying that the laws in Hawaii forbid him to take insurance from credit cards, this is a joke disguised as a business. I had to accept as is high season in Hawaii and other rental cars were even more expensive, really wished I could sue them.
Lani (or Lonnie, not sure of spelling) is BY FAR the most customer-service oriented person I have ever come across. After two extremely hard days of travel and countless phone calls, Lani helped put my mind at ease that my reservation would still be waiting for me whenever I finally arrived. Its not the norm for most companies, but she and EZ really went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of.Besides the wonderful customer service from Lani, I couldnt find another company that could compete with the great rates I got- which is not an easy feat on New Years week in Maui. The shuttle from the airport was frequent, the drive was short, and the guys working the counter the night of my arrival were very friendly. Even more than friendly, they were thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. Despite being the last person off of the shuttle (i.e. Last in line of about 6 groups) I was in and out of the rental office in less than 30 minutes. I was also amazed at the deal the company offered for gas. I am used to being told oh you can buy the prepaid gas for +$4 a gallon (usually 1.50 over regular prices) but EZ actually has the option to return on empty and theyll fill it for quite a bit cheaper than you can find elsewhere on the island!I 100% recommend this location to anyone looking to rent a car on Maui!
The worst company ever. Rip off. Fast talkers and they keep you in line forever. By the time you get up there you just dont give a damn. Paid double than what was quoted to me. Should be investigated by the BBB. It was the worst part of my Maui trip knowing they screwed me over.
People stay as far away from this company as you can. If you like dealing with shifty, sleezy people that lie to your face and add things on without your permission, then by all means do business with them, but I would recommend keeping your sanity and dealing with several other honest companies in the area. If you would like more details read my yelp review on these sleeze bags. I cant remember doing business with a more dishonest company. Im hoping that one day they are investigated and shut down for the scam they have running there.
Excellent experience. We chose this company because it was the cheapest option. Agent tried to offer additional add-ons which we declined. Ive been in sales for 12 years, so I felt for them. Car was a little older comparing to the bigger companies, but clean and no problem. We had a 2012 VW Passat as full-size class option. What made our experience excellent was their customer service when we contacted them because we left our Samsung Galaxy tablet in our rental car. Within a few emails exchanged, they arranged for a local company to send our tablet back. Awesome customer service!
Do no rent with EZ rental. I should have listened to the other reviews. They charged me $200, explaining to me that it was a deposit. As I DECLINED the extra insurance, this was a logical pending charge. However, I should have closely read my contract. Because, after saying and clicking no... the man did put insurance on the car. And, the $200 had nothing to do with a deposit, as he explained. I have insurance through the credit card and also through my own car, and so I have explained over and over again to EZ Rent-a-car that I never would have purchased this and that that is not what I was told the charge was for originally. This has fallen on deaf ears. I have formally contested the charge with my credit card. EZ stole $200 from me. Told me in one conversation they would reimburse my money, and they after I checked on it, said they wouldnt. I dont know what is going on here... but it is sketchy. Please dont rent with them. Horrible customer service And blatant stealing. I am in a state of shock as to how they are getting away with this.
This has to be the slowest rental car counter I have ever been to. Alamo next door was pumping customers out as we stood in line for 1.5 hours
IF YOU WANT A MUSTANG, DO NOT RENT HERE.Arrived on a Friday at 3pm having reserved a Mustang convertible months leading to our trip. When we arrived, no Mustang convertibles to be found. Plenty of the equivalent VW Beetles. Seemed like a bait and switch in my opinion. Even when we returned the vehicle, plenty of VW Beetles, no Mustangs. We then asked for a Wrangler and had to wait until 7pm to pick it up. Our representative (Mike) was not pushy about upgrades and insurance, although very tricky how they ask you for it. Almost makes you think its required. Simply decline and say youre covered. Actually felt bad for the guy as you could tell he hates Dossa pointing people but hes at the mercy of crappy management. Oh and the shuttle operates flawlessly quick and on time. Nice service there.The Wrangler (which they have plenty of) cost us an extra $25/day but was actually a blessing in disguise after doing the road to Hana and driving the Haleakala Summit. Wrangler is by far the way to go for its torque, raised suspension, and off-roading capabilities. Realistically you wont drive that much with the top down unless youre on the road early (prior to 9a)morning or late evening (after 6:30p). Sun wears on you in the middle of the day.
I screwed up our car rental. Chipper had me fixed up and looking like i knew what i was doing in no time. 30 percent cheaper then the competition.
Be very careful when you initial the contract. Do not initial anything on the contract if you don’t want their insurance. They will ask you to do it anyway and you will end up paying double the price. Make sure you take pictures of all the damage on the car before you take off or you are liable for it. They are tricky.
Scam artists who try to get you to buy their insurance when you pick up your car. Just used a bunch of big words to try and confuse volnourable tourists. Unfortunately I only review when my experience was TERRIBLE and this was no exception. We actually left and took the shuttle back to Hertz.
I was forced to fill out an incident report for a scratch on the bumper that I clearly noted on my pre-inspection checklist. I took my own photos of the damage, but the clerk made me fill out an incident report anyway. The photos, since they are time-stamped, should defend me in court -- but why am I being forced to deal with this? This is a shame that I am being put through what is clearly an exploitative process. I feel I am being punished because I did not buy any additional add-ons the rental clerks tried to sell me. Ill never rent again from that EZ Car Rental in OGG and you better believe I will be leaving all the negative feedback I can find on Yelp and other online reviewing agencies unless this is fixed.
Maui address incorrect on website and google map. All at the airport. Cost me an extra $5 for uber to find it. Company should update their website.
I worked here for over a year And many recent changes and upgrades like a whole brand new fleet of cars plus very friendly and helpful staff make advantage not only the best priced rental company but the funnest one too.
Worst service of any place on Hawaii. Just spend the extra couple dollars and go somewhere else
DO NOT rent from this place. I declined the collision insurance but they still tried to charge me an additional $200. They claimed it was a Deposit. Also the wording on the document is Insurance collision waiver. Make sure you look to the far right and make sure there is no dollar value. Also, the female who checked me in said maybe I should read before I sign. Dont give them your business.

I needed a one day rental, because I couldnt revise my rental from priceline, but the lady at the counter was very helpful and even upgraded us to a jeep for a steal of a deal.
Bate and switch..Quoted one price and was charged twice as much when picked up car. Which wasnt what we asked for in the first place. Dont use this business!!!!!
Worker there is not really helpful he was playing video game on his phone while booking me! Car were really dirty! Only giving more then 1star because shuttle driver was professional
When we got there they didnt even have the car we reserved online. We were forced to upgrade at a higher price, and it ended up costing around twice what we were expecting. DONT GO HERE!

They may force you to purchase an upgrade. I made the reservation for a economy car through priceline. When I arrived, they told me there was no economy car available, and they can give a upgrade for $25 per day.
Horrific wait times, total chaos and confusion at the counter. Weird deposits, gas and insurance fees. There’s a reason this is the cheapest place on the island. Avoid at all costs.
