Great price and good car. Cant find a better deal on the island!

Couldnt see a sign from the parking lot to find it from where we were dropped off. Customer service was polite.

Allsave Car Rental Maui (accessed online as Fox Rent a Car) is a great place to get a car if no other agencies have cars available, as was our situation in late May, early June.Some people might have complained that $529 was pretty pricey for a three-day rental of a Toyota Corolla, but we recognized that price gouging was justified with high-demand and low-inventory. Most things cost more in Hawaii, and car agencies need to make up for revenue lost during the pandemic.The service was fine. I realize that you can enter all the information necessary for the rental from other rental agencies online, but it only took 10 minutes to fill out the necessary forms on site.The car was clean when we picked it up. The only mechanical problem was the broken drivers side mirror. I did try to call the agency after we left the lot, but the call went to voice mail. This was not a surprise, as we had made numerous calls to the agency prior to our trip, and these were never answered either.Returning was easy (for the agency). The office is not open early enough to handle returns if the renter needs to be on a 9:00 am departure from OGG. I was able to leave the car on street and then get an Uber to the airport. Give the lack of alternatives, the extra time and money was not a big concern.To summarize, we were better able to enjoy our stay on Maui by having a car. Allsave/Fox was expensive and inconvenient, but it was better than nothing. I would rent from them again if there was nothing else available.

It was a huge line. We were waiting at least 40 minutes. But overall weve gotten a nice car and great service.We loved the fact, that they dont tell you where to go where not to go. You are allowed to drive any road on the Island. Its nice, isnt it?!Thank you for the good job

The Good: AllSave rental had a rental car much less than other places. They have a shuttle service. They do an all around video of the car and mail you pics of the full car.The Bad: They do NOT answer phone calls ever, or return calls if voice mail left. They mostly do NOT respond to text messages, except for once when they sent me the completely wrong information. Only 1 person in the office checks in customers, the other just sits around. Do NOT get the price per gallon on return option, they Charge you for a full tank of gas at the higher rate no matter how much gas is in the car when you return it, they have a lower price full tank option, take that or fill it up before returning it.Rating is mostly based on price.

Questionable business practices.I had a reservation with Fox through Priceline. It turns out it is actually Allsave and not Fox. I had reserved my car months before car rental prices skyrocketed due to COVID. When I arrived to pick up my car with two young children and after traveling 7 hours, they told me they had cancelled my reservation 6 weeks ago but were happy to rent me a lesser car for an extra $300. At this point I was trapped and had to give in. The customer service rep admitted the owner had been repeatedly doing this and they were not informing Priceline. Its a wonder what their motives were here.Side note: this place also goes by Fox. Check out their reviews and rating which are much lower. Makes you wonder why they have two names...Edit: Adding more detail here since the owners response was not accurate and Google doesnt allow me to reply.1. My rental was from 7/23 through 8/7 - it was not over a month ago.2. My reservation was made through Priceline in early March, prior to rental car price surges. Why was my advance reservation one that therefore got cancelled? There were cars available when I arrived.3. I was forced to accept the extra insurance if I wanted the car. This was the deal you presented to me. I had no other reasonable options so had to take it at the time.4. I removed the word shady

Worst rental car company ever. The shuttle bus was not coming. In the end we took a taxi for getting a rental car ( 10 dollars distance). And we waited the car is ready under the sun. We kept asking when it is ready tho he was frustrated on it.Anyway we got the car but they never explained about the car and checked together on the car either.The car damaged a little bit tho.Anyway we recommend a bigger company and nicer to the customer.

STAY AWAY!!!!!! We have had a car reservation booked since the begging of March, and we have just received a TEXT MESSAGE that they have canceled our reservation due to over booking. We have tried multiple phone numbers that they have listed and we can get ahold of no one. When we made the reservation it was under Fox rental car who told us they have no control over what this affiliate does. Now cars on the island are either completely sold out or going for $1,500. Now I see that this company has been doing this to multiple people and I will be cumulating all those reviews and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as there is really nothing else to be done and I hope that they will stop doing this to people. On their website they still do have cars showing available but of course for more than triple of what we booked it for. Price gouging at its finest. What an awful and greedy company.

I wish I could give zero stars. I booked a jeep 2 months in advance. 4 days before the trip receive a text that they ran out of cars. After hours of trying to get them on the phone they said they’ll try to get us a car. We arrived to a suv that reeks of smoke and was very old. Ended up breaking down two days later and we missed our tour worth $600 (non refundable) The company didn’t care at all and took 3 hours to get to us. Delivered us a car with a ton of dents and stains. We still paid the same as the jeep. Called for three days before getting in touch with anyone. Now they wanna charge us for dropping the car past 6pm when all the emails say they would accommodate a later shuttle. LIE. Do yourself a favor a rent from someone else. I have nothing good to say and I never complain but this was an absolute terrible experience.

This company is a scam! DO NOT rent from them. They will over charge your credit card and not take responsibility whatsoever. I am in the process of disputing charges for which they over charged my credit card and charged us for more days than we actually rented for. The Manager is a complete Scam Artist and this place is run out of a trailer next to a car wash, its a full on scam and I have also contacted the Maui Police Department. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE CROOKS!!!

**UPDATE** Daniel at Allsave reached out to possibly reinstate my original reservation. Through DM Allsave apologized and made everything right. My original frustration to the cancellation text message was valid but my response was not. It says a lot that Allsave was willing to reach out to an angry customer to make everything right. **original** Booked a car for June 20-27, 2021 in February and received a cancellation notice via text message because they can now charge 10x more money due to rental car shortages. People book these things ahead of time to budget for their vacations now they’re charging $3500+ for a weekly car rental. Is this the “Aloha Spirit”?

Desperately need help from company and cannot get anyone to respond. Called to the mainline over 100 times and no one answers and immediately will be asked to give voicemail after 90 second and no one ever calls back after multiple urgent voicemails. Sent 40 emails and sent multiple texts all to discuss how to return car and still no response at all. Very alarming and shocking. Never heard or seen anything like this around the world with traveling.

My car broke down and I needed a rental car!! All the cars on the whole island were sold out! My friend told me that Allsave car rentals had just added a bunch of newer model vehicles! I was able to rent a 2020 Toyota Corolla! It was nice, clean and new! Thanks for saving my Okole! Support the small businesses during this time!! Mahalo Ron!!

Great experience. Busy office (under construction) but staff was great!

We had some issues picking up the vehicle due to an employee leaving early. Our resort was 45 mins away so this was a big inconvenience and about $120 in taxi costs. The next day they had a vehicle dropped off at our resort! For the pricing of their rentals I would stop consider it a positive experience overall.

I wish I could give a zero star. I called to confirm my car, they CONFIRMED over the phone that YES everything is confirmed for our pick up in 12 hours!!!! I received an email two hours after calling and receiving confirmation that they canceled my reservation. All they had to say was “sorry we ran out”. I’ve had this car booked for months and had a confirmation TWO HOURS BEFORE and now we’re stuck with no car or paying $3,000 for one same day! Beyond frustrated and will NEVER ever recommend this company to anyone. They have ruined our trip that we have spent a year planning and they don’t even care. Such a terrible company.

We had a car that didn’t break down on our trip but that’s about all I can say on the positive side. The shuttle does not run every 20 minutes to the airport (we waited and eventually ubered). We reserved a mustang convertible and were given an older, very tired Camaro (over 70k miles and 6+ years old). The car clearly had seen much better days. The steering was significantly off center (bad alignment). The trunk release button did not work (had to turn the car off and use key fob whenever we needed to open trunk). The power seats worked inconsistently (sometimes sticking us with an uncomfortable driving position). The doors opened with loud pops and often had trouble closing. Our turn signal light was out. The interior was very worn and smelled likewise. A LOT of squeaks, rattles, and noises. Not sure why this car is even in their fleet but it was a significant departure from our previous rental experience from other agencies. Would not recommend.

My family had bad expirience here. We did not get a car we reserved month before our visit and we were told that we simply do not have any choice. Instead of jeep they gave us an OLD ford explorer (over 60k miles, and about 4 years old) with ripped steering wheel, BROKEN PARK ASSIST and dirty inside and out. We picked up car at the evening but in the morning this car was NOT SAVE TO DRIVE because windshield was giving me a terrible glare (looks like windshield was cleaned with oily piece of cloth) and parking assist completely broken. So my first morning at Maui I spent driving to gas station and cleaning windshield. When I complained to the guy at return he was extremely rude!

They asked us to take uber back to the airport even though we came before time they told us to. Jeep we got was old that doesn’t even have USB port to charge phones. Make sure you get a vehicle with charging facilities because you WILL need them in Maui. Apart from that it was satisfactory.

DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS COMPANY! They cancelled our reservation less than 24 hours before our pick-up time because they were overbooked. We were depending on our car rental for various activities on our vacation. Now we will not be able to drive the road to Hana and go to hiking trails. So disappointed with Allsave Rental Car Maui. DO NOT TRUST THEM...even if you get a booking confirmation.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Booked our reservation 2 months in advance, and less than 24 hrs before we arrive in Maui they TEXTED us a cancellation notice. Called them to verify and they stated a computer glitch has overbooked and they have no vehicles available.

I reserved a car two weeks before my planned trip for 4/3-13. Three days ago I called to confirm my reservation and they assured me everything was set. Today I get a text message that we no longer have any vehicles available.(....)We apologize for this last minute inconvenience.Two days before a trip where we cannot find another car to rent.

The shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes (as promised), which is a breath of fresh air from past off-site car rental experiences I’ve had. While there were a load of customers to attend to, the employees were briskly helping customers get on their way to their vacation destination. My wife and I were helped by Sunsea, who was awesome! She was courteous, professional, friendly and I will definitely be using All Save next time We’re back on the island. If you’re looking for a stress-free car rental experience, I’d check them out!

We booked a car with them almost two weeks ago and now that we are about 3 days out from our trip they decide to text us that theyve CANCELED our reservation! We might have to cancel our entire trip because of this.

Pickup and drop off took a long time, appeared to be short staffed.Price was very good, but we got a beaten up car with lots of body damages and the inside could be cleaner.The car was fine and felt safe to drive, just wish it wasnt so beaten up with loose bumper and scratches in many places.

Picking up our car was quick and easy. They picked us up from the airport within about 10 minutes after I called that we arrived. The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed a slightly bigger car than wed reserved and there was no problem at all. Dropping off the car was just as easy and they took us back to the airport immediately. Great experience all the way around.

Amazing service from this place. I got a good rate prior to flying into Maui so I wasnt expecting such a good experience. I was proven wrong. Since everything was still closed down for mainland visitors, it was my first time interisland since Covid travelling and it was not crowded. After calling the rental company phone, the Staff gentleman named Ron was super amazing. He shuttled me to the office located off site near Maui Mall. From there, he was professional and respectful the entire time.When we arrived at the office, social distancing was enforced. I felt safe and clean the entire time. As if it couldnt get any better, Ron sanitized the whole registration process to include my credit cards and drivers license and we did contactless contract via email. The Dodge Van was perfect for my family and I loved how updated it was and very clean. Ron did amazing for being a one man show!Upon returning the vehicle, I was alittle late turning my vehicle back in which was wrong of me of course. But, Ron was there again to greet my family. He helped me load the shuttle van with my belongings and sent me on my way with Mona. Mona was just as awesome and she seemed pretty happy to be back to work. She was so understanding and accommodating in getting us to the Airport in a less stressful manner. She was professional and respectful. I really liked her company returning back to the airport.

We waited for a shuttle about 10 min which is not bad. Customer service was great. We got our car with 15 minutes of been at the office. There was only one customer before us, not busy at that time. Returning the car was also quick and easy. We were running a little late for our plane So the shuttle took us there quickly

Ive reserved a car in advance and it wanted specifically convertible since it was my wifes birthday and I wanted to have a surprise for her, all the email were sent to me with the confirmation and even a couple of reminders from the location itself since I was booking directly. Once I reached the location to pick up the car the lady at the counter just simply said that they have no convertibles available. I explained her that I reserved ahead of time and they could have informed me in advance, especially since its a special occasion in my case. However the lady at the counter didnt care at all and and didnt even extend any apologize. She said they can give a different car which is not convertible and completely different type of car which is not even close to what Ive reserved. Very poor service! This company almost ruined my day, likely I was able to get a convertible from the next door rental which saved my day.

I was able to rent my car online with no problems. When I got to the actual office it was a piece of cake. The service was prompt and the staff was nice. Ive never driven a Toyota but it was great on gas, it was worth all the money. I would use this company again.

Good car at a reasonable price. We chose to pay for the gas and they gave it to us 20% cheaper than anywhere else on the island except for Costco. I would definitely rent from these guys again the next time Im in Maui.

The driver who picked us up at the airport was very nice and friendly. The person who checked me in and gave me my rental was very helpful and nice. My first van had an engine light come on and when I called, they had me bring it in and they had another car ready for me right away. That second van ended up with a flat tire and again they had me stop by and they exchanged it right away, Even though they close at 5:30 PM, they allow you to drop your car off after hrs at the airport (for a fee) and extra day charge. Great car rental company with prices lower than the competition.

Jesus theyre unorganized. 30+ minute hold times, no voicemails when they call you, somebody picked up and all I heard was a blaring TV then I got transferred again, and their email address is undeliverable. They told me to email them my credit card and drivers license, but their email doesnt even work and everyone just transfers you.oh so and so was handling your reservation... uhh, its a rental office, so it takes a few days to reserve your car. Im sure shes working on it, but I can transfer you again if you want. - Allsave employee

Hi, we were a family of 6 adults renting a van for our Maui holiday, the wait at the airport was only minutes, the service getting the van was fast and most of all pleasant and the staff was awesome. The friendliest staff weve ever encountered at a car rental. From check in with a lovely gentleman who gave great local tips to being driven to the airport being treated to beautiful music recorded by the driver, his brothers and his fathers. These guys are a great crew.

Rental rate was fair for a weeks use of the car. The car was clean on the inside but had signs of wear and tear on the outside. I did not notice it at the time I picked up the car, but there was a definite vibration each time I stepped on the brake.The staff inside the office were nice. However, there was a mistake on the bill where I was charged a fee for fuel service even though I had purchased a full tank of gas. As such, I will have to check my bill to ensure I was not charged twice for the rental. Since that charge was supposedly voided and a new one instituted.The shuttle driver was similarly friendly and even made a great suggestion for lunch (Da Kitchen) for which I am grateful. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with friendly staff.

Love the people there, helped us figure everything out with getting the car we wanted after we had a small mix up. We had the unlimited wrangler and it served us well. They try hard to take care of your needs and get everything worked out! Definitely recommend this place.

All Save rental services and rates are one of the best I ever had in Maui. They are efficient, friendly and fast. Felicia is very friendly but most important she knows what is best for the customer.

We chose Fox allsave car rental mostly because of the price. We were planning our trip to Maui I needed to reserve a rental car. They Fox pick stuff up from the airport and drove us to the rental office, the car was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, the second day we were in Maui, our car was hit in a parking lot, and Fox car rental gave us a new car without a lot of hassle, it was a great deal we were very pleased! The second car was even nicer than the first and we had a great time driving all over Maui! And we saved about a lot of money too! I would definitely definitely recommend them! There is small agency theyve just started on Maui within a year or so, and they are definitely worth renting from!

I’ve rented numerous vehicles from Allsave. Early on, the customer service and quality of vehicles for the price were good, but as my business with them increased, the service and caliber of vehicles became less then satisfactory on several occasions, while becoming more and more expensive for 2nd rate vehicles. In fact, one of the vans was roach infested. When I reported this to them later that day, they didn’t even offer a discount or a credit. Management just said, “we live on an island. This happens!”Basically no regard for repeat business. Where I come from, the more business someone brings you, the more you take care of them. It was quite the opposite with AllSave.

Quick pick up from the airport and effortless car check out.... Everyone was efficient and very kind. The jeep was immaculate. I would definitely be a repeat patron.

Very nice clean car. Drove well. Staff was friendly. Was able to pick up vechicle quickly and easy drop off. Plus the rental car place is right next to Whole Foods in Kahului near airport so very convenient. I would recommend this company over the bigger more commercial companies any day!

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we flew into Maui yesterday during the day. We picked up our car from Allsave/Fox and drove it to our hotel to check in which was 45 min away. We went to go out later that night and when we got into the car I saw two bugs crawling all over the centre console. The light in the car did not work (of course) so we we used our cell phone to shine a light and there were at least 20 bugs (two different kinds) and they all went running. We both jumped out and were horrified. Even writing this review is making me itchy. We then took photos and closed the door and did not proceed to go out that night and went into our hotel to have a much needed drink. They must only come out when it is dark as we did not notice anything during the day. At this point we had only had the car for 5 hours and we took it from the rental company to the parking garage at the Kaanapali Hotel.My husband got up at 7:00 a.m. this morning to be there for 8:00 when it opened to return the car. They made him speak with Fox on the phone which took forever. We rented the car for 6 days and they would only compensate him for 5 days. This company honestly wouldn’t give him back the money for one day after we had to drive all the way back and return it, waste tons of time on our honeymoon and deal with something that is unacceptable!!!!! It’s disgusting and unprofessional. We rented a car on Oahu and the Big Island with a different company and had no issues at all and nothing but professionalism and the cars were so clean and in great condition! Most importantly no bugs!Needless to say I am still waiting for my husband to get back which is now going on 4 hours and he is being shuttled back to the airport to be picked up by another car service that he is now renting from. I would have gone with him but I couldn’t get back into that car.NO ONE should ever have to deal with this on their vacation OR honeymoon! Plus, such bad customer service. The money for having the car for one day was not a tremendous amount but it is about the moral of it. They should have went above an beyond and should have fully compensated us! Plus they should have saved us time and did this fast! Especially with all the pictures we took! Very nice people and I got the car I wanted. Be aware that if you pre pay gas you are paying for a full tank even if you turn in a car with half tank. That was a surprise to me.

I have rented from Allsave car rentals on a few occasions and every time they have gone above and beyond to work with me for my particular needs. Their level of professionalism and service is only surpassed by their level of aloha and willingness to work with my needs and promise to grow to accommodate me even better the next time. I feel that they have my interests and my continued patronage as their service goal and it shows. Will use them every time I need a rental in Maui!

I was really concerned that we are leaving tomorrow and still didn’t have a rental reserved and when I called the lady was super nice, very pleasant and went to work on getting me there best price on a midsize car. Total for two weeks is $510!! All reserved and ready to go for tomorrow. Thank you Allsave!

ROACHES EVERYWHERE! Our car has swarms of roaches that crawl out of every crack in the dash and seats after dark (not exaggerating). Still waiting to hear back about exchanging the vehicle but it’s not looking optimistic after reading these other reviews.UPDATE:We got a hold of Allsave after calling many times and they said we could come exchange our car (an hour long trip). So we did... and got a SECOND CAR WITH ROACHES.They didn’t appologize once and were very unsympathetic. The lady said “she would make a note of it” which sounds like they probably are used to this and don’t care.

Dez was very welcoming from the minute I walked in. Although I was experiencing difficulties with my credit cards (due to unusual activities)she was very patient & worked with me through everything got squared away, while keeping a great attitude & smile. The agent that helped me qhen returning the rental was also quick & efficient especially qith a line of people lining up out of the doors. The vehicle was really a great deal, & everything on their end want smoothly. The whole entire process was amazing. From pick up to drop off, I had only good things to say. I wont recommend them..they are something else..I rent for a weeks and when car is due i call them back and ask if i can extend it for 5 days and pay everything when i return it ..the lady said yes...after the 4 day the lady call me back leave voicemail ...and she said if i will not return the vehicle that day they will call authority on me...and i have no choice but to return it and the lady at the front she force me to pay the extended days that we agreed to be paid on the 5th days..i told her that i dont carried any cash,debit or credit to pay them at the same day and if i can paid the next day? she said no i have to pay it or first thing in the morning they going to call a cop on me..its really difficult for me cause i dont have anything to pay them.and no vehicle to go back and forth for that...i try ask if we can work something out and still she cant ..theres nothing i could do but walk away and making sure to pay them back everything before cops get to me the next day..and thats the first and last to rent from them..

I actually had 2 excellent experiences w/ AllSave Car Rental in Kahului. Jan 2016, and just this past weekend. The people are nice, reliable, and easy going. The cars are as good as any other car rental place. The rates are the best Ive ever seen, especially on an island! Last year, it took a while for the shuttle to show up at the airport, but this time around, things went super smoothly. I hope people give them a chance and appreciate patronizing a non corporate entity.

Picked up our family of 6 and our luggage in a very timely manner and the process of reservation, confirmation, telephone calls, picking up and returning the minivan worked well as well as the return to the airport. I highly recommend this company and will use next visit!

I was a little nervous about the rental as I have never used Fox before. I was slightly more nervous when we arrived and the shuttle was a van, not a shuttle bus like normal. We had to wait for a second van to come as the first one was full. The van drivers were aware and worked hard to let us know they would be right back and it all worked out fine. Even though there were only two rental agents at the location (which is very small) we only waited 5 or 10 minutes. They do the thing where you have to decline like 10 different coverages in order to rent but no pressure when I declined. My car had about 50K miles on it but was in good clean shape. They do a good job of photographing all sides for damage and emailing the photos to you for your reference. Overall I would use this company again without hesitation.

This company had much shorter lines than the major car rental agencies, getting you to your destination faster.Every employee we dealt with was very courteous and friendly.

They have a shuttle to pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the tental location. Turning in the car was super easy and fast.

Very terrible service. The first car did not even started at the parking lot in front of the office. We waited for an hour to get another car while other customers who arrived after us were prioritized in service. The second car was not even legal to drive in Hawaii, the police office pulled us and informed that the technical check of the car was expired a YEAR ago. We brought back the car and the manager did not even care, his excuse was: Everyone does it! He offered a discount, but instead I found an extra charge of $31 on my card!? Please, avoid this company!

Fox car rental on the island of Maui has outstanding customer service. The only drawback was we needed a shuttle they provided to get to them roughly 5 to 10 minutes away.

I booked a car on priceline with Fox car rental. When i checked in i was notified there was a $15 a day additional charge because i was over 70. This was not mentioned on the priceline site. The said it was company policy and nothing they could do. When i read the fine print, i found i entered a contract with Allsave car rental and not fox. The $15 charge is mention deep into the fox website, but not on Priceline or on the contract i signed. Im still sifting through the fine print. Also, if i would have turned car in next day, i would be charged contract price and not a one day charge. Unheard of....other companies charge of days of use.

Fast service and clean cars.

I rented a car under the Fox car rentals however it is actually Allsave car rental.I have rented from Fox in the past and been happy. The car they gave us was a beat up mustang. Dents,scratches, no Bluetooth, headliner is tearing on the inside, brakes pulse when we stop and dirty. They refused to get off their seat to go outside to look over the car with me, stating they know about the damage and will email me. I thought that was weird so i took my own pictures. Also they said no smoking in the car with is great, however it had been smoked in and started giving me a headache on the way to our condo.I called the next morning to see about getting a different car, this lady named Sensi (sp) became defensive with me. I asked for the manager and then she started yelling at me and hung up on me. I was polite the whole time. I called the next day, manager was again not there so someone gave me Ron’s cell phone, i left him a message and never heard back. Do not rent from these people. Horrible customer service and the convertible i rented was gross.

Watch out for this place. They charge you a cleaning fee if there is sand in the car, of course there is going to be sand in the car, we come to maui to go to the beach!!! $80 up charge!! In addition to this the lady who worked with us seemed annoyed that I was even there. Terrible service for a funky car that had problems including a vibration upon braking, the car also made some strange whining sounds.

The car we rented from Alsave car rental did the job for us. We secured a good price and the car was very clean inside, much cleaner than other Maui car rental places.

Everything was fine except they keep sending me emails asking for a rating even after I asked them to stop bugging me. Not happy about that
