I went to Luxury nails for the first time today, and it was such a great experience! There were five us, and we all left talking about how awesome it was! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they did such an amazing job! It was a very nice atmosphere and very clean as well! It is the best place I’ve been in Johnson City! I will definitely be going back!! Thank you to all the sweet staff at Luxury Nails for making our girl day so special!

Took my mother there today for a pedicure. Had an appointment with Jennifer she was amazing. Best pedicure my mothers ever had. And that saying a lot as shes 87 years old. Thanks Jennifer.

My nails have never looked this bad. Each nail is a different shape. Half of them are square and the other half are rounded off when I asked for a coffin shape, along with some of them being shorter than the rest. Definitely not worth the $50 that they charge. I would much rather go anywhere else and pay that price or pay even more for better quality. I will not be coming back.

Ann has always been absolutely amazing every time we come. She takes great care of my partners nails. Her precision and perfection is second to none. She is incredibly nice, funny, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented. She is an artist that takes pride in her work. We always return to her for these reasons.The prices are great and the salon is very clean. They are friendly but never pushy.

This was one of the best pedicures and manicures I have had in a long time! The experience was wonderful! They are clean, so friendly, and very professional. I will be back every two weeks!

Today was my first time coming here and I was not disappointed! I got the deluxe pedicure and a gel manicure and Kim did an amazing job. Everyone was very welcoming and I felt comfortable being there. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted and everything was reasonably priced. I can’t wait for my next visit! :)

This business has a 5 star rating for a reason, it is very sanitary and the staff does an amazing job. I got acrylics/a pedicure done by a male employee and Tracy, and am really happy with how it looks. The prices are reasonable and everyone wears a mask/there are acrylic shields in between clients/staff. The shape, design, polish and whole application process was comfortable and they took their time. The pedicure experience was so relaxing and sanitary. I feel so confident with my new nails and will definitely be returning/recommend this business to others. Thank you!

To respond to a review calling someone a liar is unprofessional. I was going to have my bridal parties nails done here, but after reading all these bad reviews, and seeing where you called a customer a liar, Im going to go elsewhere. That is extremely unprofessional and RUDE! In my opinion, the girl that said you was rude to her wasnt lying, because you was RUDE to her in your response back to her. The irony in that is hilariously sad. Customers can make or break a company. Next time respond to a customers review with dignity and kindness instead of responding rudely when the whole complaint was about you being rude. By responding rudely, you just proved that you was rude to her, because obviously, thats the kind of person you are. If anyone is a liar here, its you! You just proved that, by acting the way she said you did, publicly on your reviews page for everyone to see. Thank goodness I read the reviews when I did because now I know not to waste my TIME or MONEY at the establishment. Heres a little bit of advice, BE KIND ALWAYS BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS WATCHING. Good day and good luck.

Awful service, had one man working doing nails. Two people came in with appointments and had to wait almost an hour after their scheduled time before they just left because there was no one available to do them. I went a week ago yesterday and 3 of them have already popped off, not worth the 50 dollars they charged for 2 colors with no design. Very poor shaping and filing as well. Asked for coffin and he told me he was not able to do them the shorter length I wanted. Will not be back

I called very late in the evening to get my nails filled in since my normal nail salon was closing early. They said that I could come in. I had never been here before so I was skeptical. I was using All star nails in Kingsport and lately, they have been terrible. My nail tech was Late (his name) and he was AMAZING. I have never had a kinder, more personable person ever do my nails. He really took the time to look at the photos I picked out, asked details, and went right at it. We talked the whole time and the time flew by! He really shaped and smoothed my nails so finely, I cant find anything to pick at. NOTHING. No weird globs anywhere, all same length, all filed to perfection. I highly recommend HIM but the place in general seemed LUXURIOUS. They had better selections of polish, dip powders, their machines are top notch. The products they use such as oils, lotions, etc are all great quality. They are not using cheap products to get by and their prices are competitive! Will def return to LATE from now on

I was extremely impressed with the end product, more than I have been at any nail place in Johnson City. They immediately started on my nails when I walked in. I got an acrylic fill in with regular polish and it took an hour. They were very detail oriented and took their time. At one point the girl painting my nails accidentally smudged my wet polish and wiped it off and fixed it without me asking. This place really does a good job but without the outrageous price tag. Will be going back again.

I have known Tim and Nancy for around 20 years and every since then I have not had to shop around for someone to do my nails. I am very ruff on them and I needed someone that did them right. I have mixed concrete with mine and still did not lift, or come off. They are the best.

Got there at 6 didn’t get started on nails till 7 even though there was a worker sitting doing her own nails, super rough when filling and buffing my nails it drew blood on my middle ringer. Finally it comes 8 and they finish and take me to get my pedicure, great pedicure but it was 8:30 by the time they finished, they said $50 for my nails even though the book said $27 and my pedicure was $25, total came out to be $195!! I asked why and they said for the labor they put into my shape and length of nails, -10/5 stars DO NOT recommend going there, oh yeah an rn one of my nails came out crooked

Give this place a try!I am in the area for work and needed a pedicure. This was the closest salon and even though there wasn’t great recent reviews, I decided to try it out. Y’all, ignore the bad reviews!I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in. My wait wasn’t long at all (no appointment). My tech got all of my ingrown nails taken care of, gave me probably the best leg massage I’ve had, and spoke great English, making communication easy. The salon was clean and the tools had been sterilized.I’m a happy customer and will be back when I’m in the area again.

Only one man here who is even half way decent at doing nails. Every time I go here I leave disappointed because my 5 year old can do a better manicure than I have ever received here. Convinced that only a couple of people who work here have a license.

I tried this nail spa when the first opened years back and went back again this December and sadly the quality has gone down. Some friends and I went and half of us got very rushed, low quality results. The shellac on several of my toenails literally came off in complete pieces a few days following getting them done. I was talked into dip powder by the manicurist and it’s uneven and lumpy. My total for manicure and pedicure was $90... much more than anticipated. For that price, it should have been a relaxing experience with quality results. However, for $90 I got messy, rushed, mediocre nails. They were nice enough to fix the shellac that came complete off... but Dec is a very busy month and I wish it had just been done correctly in the first place. I didn’t even mention the poorly done dip manicure. I will only be going to Ann Nails in JC from now on.

Went there today for the first time and I loved it. I called 2 hours prior and made an appointment and we waited maybe 10 min but once they started it took no time. I had a gel manicure and pedicure and my mother in law had a gel manicure. We were out the door in less then an hr and a half. Everything looks amazing! Will be going back!

Went and had my nails done here for the first time earlier this evening. I got a so-so full set for the price of a these had better be perfect manicure. First, I waited a very long time because they kept taking appointments ahead of me. This is fine, IF they tell me there is going to be a longer than normal wait. But nobody said anything about it when I signed in and then sat down. Second, I went in for a fill but was told I needed a new set. Again, fine. But my usual salon, OP Nails, charges $28 for a full set and that INCLUDES taking off your previous set. Here, they charged me an extra $5 to take off the previous set... but didnt tell me about the extra charge. And the guy who removed the old set really hurt me while aggressively tearing off the old set, a process that had never been painful before. Finally, I wanted a simple design done on all of my nails. I asked when I checked in what the cost would be. I even showed them the design and told them I wanted it on all my nails. They said the price was $5 and up depending on the design and how many nails I had done. Well, I had just given them that information, but they still refused to give me an exact price. When OP Nails did the same design a couple weeks ago, they charged me $10. It was, after all, a very simple design. After completing the design, well, a simpler design (they said they couldnt get the leaves right) on all of my nails, in less than 15 minutes I might add, they decided to charge me $20!! So, I paid a total of $52 plus a $10 tip for nails that are only half as good as my regular salon!!! I will never come back... and will always stick to OP Nails going forward.

My daughter had her nails done here for the first time and she was told it would be $27 but when she was done it ended up being $37 because of nail polish she picked out. The website shows $27 and then pick any nail polish you want so I feel they ripped her off. When I discussed price with them they wouldnt budge and stated they told her it would be more with the polish she picked but that was NOT mentioned until it was done and time to pay. I will not be back here ever again.

They’re playing with the prices. I was supersized with how most of less 3stars reviews here mentioning smiler issues. I came here with a friend except my friend came five minutes later than me, and we had the same exact service, her total was 6$ less. No reason for the price differences except they told me you agreed with that price before the service.

I really enjoy the staff here! My nails have always lasted a long time. This is the first salon where they actually try to make some personal talk, I think that is better than just silence. Im not sure if hes the owner, but one of the techs is so funny. I look forward to our conversations.

I love coming here (especially as a pregnant lady!). Everyone is so nice, I never have to wait long, and the facility is clean and well ventilated. The prices are very reasonable, too. I just started coming here recently and plan to continue to for my regular mani/pedis! It is wonderful and the staff is so friendly and sweet.

I don’t know how it’s still in business. The entire place smells like mold or mildew. It’s really confusing because it’s an obvious smell and you’d think they wouldn’t stay open with it as bad as it is. The lady who did my pedicure was really nice, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t use unsanitary instruments and now my first toe has an infection. Grossed out.

This was the first time I had gotten my nails done in a long time, so all I had to go on were reviews. I walked in and was immediately taken to a station by Tim. He was quick and efficient, and the design accent he did was amazing. I was very pleased. Let me add that once I got him talking, he was very funny and engaging. Those that find him rude are crazy! You get what you give, and if you have an attitude or sit there like a knot on a log, thats what you will get. I WILL be back!! Thanks for a great experience !!

Quick and friendly service. There are a couple of spots that didnt get painted on the sides if my nails. I was told over the phone that that an acrylic fill in was $17. I paid $30. Not sure if they charge a dollar per finger for polish or what. Overall I got exactly what I needed, just had to pay a little more than expected.

I usually love this place, but I waited an hour for a manicure. Then nail tech did not remind me that I had picked regular nail polish. It all piled off by thursday, did not last even 4 full days. He could have done better customer service and reminded me, or suggested a gel in that same color palette. Manicure itself was a good job, but Im a little upset about 4 days. Could have done that at home.

Very rude people that work here. I am in the area for a funeral. Came here to get my nails removed. When I walked in that’s what I told them. The lady started laughing. ??? Not sure what was funny but okay. Rude the entire time. Asked if I got them done here and I told them no. I wasn’t from around here. They guy that was removing them did a horrible job. Didn’t remove all of the acrylic. The entire experience was horrible.

The first time I got them done they looked great. I got a powder dip manicure.However, my cuticles were not attended to at all and the top coat started peeling and chipping on most of them the very next day. I came back today to get them fixed and all she did was file off the top coats and reapplied to my nails AND skin. They look sloppy, terrible, and crinkled because of the filing.I will not be coming back.

Never going again. Because they do not treat everyone equal and break that law. Such a shame.

They have the color changing nail polish offer drinks and sometimes candy and also give a student discount all the times Ive went here i was happy except one and thats because that guy doing my nails was rude. But the others are very nice.

Well i used to like this place but the last 2 times I had this guy and he was so rough and not a good job at all. He cut my skin and I had polish all over my skin and the side of my toes he never cleaned them up. Will not go back.

Dont waste your time or money!! Went in for a pedicure for myself and a manicure for my daughter. Waited an hour, had my feet soaking in cold water for 25 minutes while no one ever came, and my daughter got her nails painted only. Rude staff, no one even noticed that i never got my pedicure!

I took my wife yesterday to LUX NAILS and SPA on Peoples St in Johnson City and was not asked but told to leave while being Discriminated against infront of other customers because I have a Service Dog. Therefore I will be Boycotting that Horrible and Unprofessional establishment. I just want to live my life as an equal after coming home from war.

Moody, Rude and Unprofessional! A patron of LUX Nails since 2016, I had a stroke in Feb 2018 left my left arm & hand immobile. I visited LUX in April, explained and received kind, reassuring care, especially by the daughter who shared she understood due to her Grdad’s stroke. However, Sep 29, 2018, I signed in at 9:45a. I notice but don’t complain that others without appts are being seen ahead of me. About 10:50a, starts to remove my old gel polish. At 11:45a, Wife finally gets to my gel mani and asks what color. When I show her, she snatches the color wheel and exclaims “No, that too hard! You too hard, take too long! After this you no come back here!” Salon is full so imagine my shock and embarrassment! I say I’m confused because had LUX mani 2 wks prior! Wife stands, still berating me as I tell her she’s very rude and unprofessional. I ask why allowed me to wait 2 hrs to say SHE did not want to do my mani & pedi! As she rants I tell her she’s not speaking to a child and should take ownership of her own shortcomings! Sadly, owner is complicit in wife’s openly rude display! I suppose enough biz that day to refuse my $$! LUX Mom and Dad could learn much from their Daughter! BTW, went to another salon, explained my inability, chose my color, in and out, satisfied within 30 minutes! Be aware, owners —Wife especially, MOODY, RUDE, WILLFULLY VIOLATES AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT!

Nails did not last one week before they started splitting and breaking off. I tried the Gel nails for the first time and was very disappointed. My dtr had hers done also w/ acrylic and was very disappointed. He piled the acrylic on so thick it was like she had a big bubble on her nails. I will not be back, you would think if you spent 71$ plus tip your nails would last longer than a week!

Have came here before and got nails by male and they were the sharpest stilettos ive ever gotten. this time an older looking female did mine and half of the nail was filed off (i got acrylic fill in w/ gel by the way) and on two fingers my real nail was showing (she filed them horribly too short). usually recommeded to all my friends but she was rolling her eyes when asked to make my nails sharper and doing more coats of gel nail polish. she at first made the ends of my nails roundish and male came over & had to show her how to do it after she was yelling across the room in another language, probably talking bad about what we wanted. i guess it was just too hard for her, idk. but if you go i would seriously reccomend getting a male or one of the younger females. i should have gotten her name but i wanted to get away from all of her negativity, i have never encountered a more rude nail stylist. Thank you to the person who showed her how to do it because they would have been worse. seriously almost asked if i should just wait for another stylist because she was rude and didnt know what she was doing at all. if i come back i will be sure to pick my own stylist out because this is unacceptable.

First of all..dont get your nails done by the male. (Most likely the dad of the business).The nails dont fit right and they were all different lengths. He doesnt even check to make sure theyre even. I was under the impression it would cost 27$ but get ring fingers designed cost 32$ which when he suggested them to be done after he couldnt do the design I showed him for all of my nails, he shouldve said, doing that will be 5$ more are you ok with that? I wouldve said no.The one thing that pissed me off and I truly hope people read these and know you just cant make this up and I was appalled when it was said to me. I was heading to fl to house hunt bc Im moving the and that was why I came to get my nails done. I had my oldest daughter with me and he asked if I was taking her. I said, no. He said to me, Then youre not a good mom... Excuse me? My oldest was staying home bc we rescue dogs an cats. She was the one that would be taking care of them. Not that, that was of his concern. I was livid, but held it together.Dont waste your money. I got my nails done on Saturday Feb 18th. By the time I came back on Feb 26th...my nails are peeling off from the cuticles. I will NEVER step foot in this nail salon again.Stay away if you can. Theres much nicer nail salons with nicer people and people that can actually do the designs you want!

Went to have shellac removed and regular polish put on. Male worker told me they only do shellac. I said ok well just remove the shellac and he said ok what polish, we do regular but you just should get shellac instead.Regular polish was terrible. I commented on how the thumb didnt look good but he didnt fix it. Polish uneven on all fingers.Charged me 15 for polish change and gel removal. Signs has price as 8 for polish and 5 for removal.Will not return. Worker made my experience stressful because he wouldnt stop talking to me asking personal questions etc.
