The lady who did my nails was so nice and soft spoken. She did a good job, too. However, while I was there, I witnessed two other employees argue with two different patrons about how the total price was different than the listed price for services. I too experienced this, but didnt waste my breath. There was also a Caucasian woman working there who was so kind to everyone and truly seemed to be enjoying her job and time there with patrons.

I lost my voice box to cancer in Jan 2020. I speak with an electronic device. That being said, i have brought my daughter here several times and everything was fine. This time however, we were standing at the door and I asked my daughter to ask how long the wait was and the guy that watches the cameras and schedules the appointments and everything made fun of the way that I was speaking and pretended to hold a box to his throat and spoke in a robotic tone. We left and will not be back. If you work in customer service, compassion should be a requirement!

I am so pleased with OP Nails! We went there for my daughter’s birthday and didn’t make a reservation. It was our first ever visit. They had a large bridal party there and still got us in quick and didn’t rush our time. They were so incredibly nice and the nail art my daughter wanted turned out amazing! Thank you so much for making her birthday awesome!

I had an appointment still waiting an hour and a half. I ask for dip powder receive gel instead. The lady who done my nails continue to ask me how did the shape look I told her the truth it was awful it look like something my eight-year-old could design she continue to do it not trying to redo it not trying to fix them by this point Im frustrated and Im over it the manager is too busy worried about his client and rubbing their stomachs when they stretch or flirting with his client to do anything. I reached out to them on Facebook and told them my experience they told me to come back and they would fix my nails. They put me with the same Nail Tech who filed my nail again thats all she had so much attitude with fixing the issue I wanted to cry. So she said is that all I said yes walked out and left. I was crying walking out I work hard for my money all I wanted was nice set of nails. The manager messaged me after a Google review for them to redo it but I will not go back because the way I was treated and yes I maybe over reaction but I feel like this is a shame. I am a manager have been for years your customer base brings people I will not be back because of this and I get my nails done every two weeks I just wanted to find something in Johnson city not Asheville but I guess I will be going back to Asheville....

Very pricey and in such a rush to get to the next person I paid $210 get mine and my granddaughter nails and toes done wasnt very impressed with the service

Im torn about this place. Ive had great nail jobs done and some not so much. The older guy in there will tear your fingers to shreds with the 180 grit file. I had him do my stiletto nail fill in and he cut me on 3 different fingers with that file. My thumb was so messed up it hurt and took a whole week to heal the cut was THAT deep. Everyone else is pretty great. Sanitation though. Im always sketched out. I have NEVER seen them clean a tool before using it on my hands. They go from one client to the other without cleaning the tools in between. That is also what made me worry so much when the guy cut my finger open. They do a great job for the most part. I just wish they were cleaner with their tools before each set they do on someone. The older guy needs to be retrained on filing and not hurting people. He is actually a great nail artist otherwise. Im only leaving a review. The next person may sue.*To leave an update of my review. I have found a nail tech in there who is great and did not hurt my hands in any way. She was amazing and Ill be looking to her to do my nails. Aside from the issue I had above, this place seriously is a good salon. If not, I wouldnt keep going back. The fact that I got a response shows that this place cares. I did bump my rating to 5 stars.

Today was the first time I had been to this nail salon. I will definitely go back. I showed the man a picture of what I wanted and he did it exactly. I got a full set of acrylics with dip powder. They look perfect.

Our first experience here was awesome! Second visit was terrible. Had a appointment had to wait almost a hour to get in for it. Then the job that was done was half done. Did not paint the nails all the way back to the skin so therefore it looks like your nails have already grown out the next day. Then the day after the service nail polish is already chipped. Then we showed pictures of designs that we wanted done and they were ok with it Then when it was time for it they could not do it and instead placed decals and charged 10.00 for two. You never get charged the same thing twice and you never know what your bill is gonna be until you check out even if you ask when the appointment is made or when you check in. 90.00 spent and very disappointed. You need to take time to spend with your customers and make them feel welcome and not rushed. They are what pays your bills.

I made an appointment but still had to wait almost 40 minutes past that before I sat down with the nail tech. I watched him start to take the polish off and he was a little shaky. The other guy had to tell him that I had the brush on dip powder on my natural nails but he acted like he didn’t believe him. He went over them again with the tool. He brushed my nails off. The other guy came back over and applied a clear coat on and proceeded to put my new color on with the old polish still on. I questioned him and then left. I WILL NOT be back! 😡

First time going to OP and Im a new customer for life! The pedicure was Amazing ams Angie did a phenomenal job. I showed the young woman a picture of the nails I wanted and she nailed it spot on! They kept asking If it was OK, if I like them, anything I wanted to change. My friend and I both agreed that we found a new nail place and will definitely be returning!!

They were super nice. Even though they were super busy he did a very good job multitasking. My nails look amazing and I’m super satisfied. Definitely would go again.

I’ve been to OP nails in JC for years now. I am usually pleased with their service, but last Wednesday was terrible. I had an appointment at 2 and they didnt start my nails until 3. All i wanted was a full set. When i walked in, I immediately could tell that it was dirty. The staff is nice, but they were running around like crazy people. They are definitely under staffed. Anyways, the lady did my nails in a solid 15 minutes. (With designs). They came out looking great but not even a week later, they all fell off. I paid around $75 for these nails to only last a few days. Sad to say I will not be back. Would not recommened.

I have never gotten my nails done and I really like them. I will definitely be going back. It took 30 minutes to do a full set that had a design on them.

Appointments don’t matter! I had a 530 appointment for myself and 2 children. At 610 i was still waiting for service. I was instructed by server you were very busy. If you can not provide service of appointments then you should not offer to schedule appointments. The actual service was ok.

I took off 1 star because when I went i had made an appointment for 1250 pm and didnt get seated unti 1-130 pm it only took the lady 25 mins to do my nails. Theyc ere good quality going back Wednesday to get a wedding set.

A friend and I went to get shellac done for my birthday. Exactly 1 week later and the shellac on one of my nails has chipped off. And now my nails are ruined because they used a drill to rough up the surface instead of just a file like is supposed to be done for shellac. I called because I am not local to Johnson City and was basically told they wouldnt take my word for what happened and that nothing could be done. After another few minutes on the phone I was finally offered a measly 10% off the next time I come in (again, Im not local). Sadly, I will not be going back and would not recommend.

I wanna start off by saying, I have been happy with the service I received here. Although, they always seem to be running behind. The last two times I’ve received a pedicure, I have made an appointment. I showed up for that appointment and no one has seen me until a minimum of 30 minutes after my appointment time. Both times I’ve considered leaving after 30 minutes of waiting, but stuck it out. I do like the way they do pedicures, I just don’t like to wait 30 minutes to be seen for a scheduled appointment. For this reason, I will possibly (and sadly) not be going back a 3rd time.

Came in as a walk in customer and had to wait a few minutes for a pedicure(that was not the problem) while waiting i took a look around and decided to walk back out everything was dirty. Pedi bowls, polish bottles, floors, everything. Would not recommend.

Every single time I do make an appointment, I never get seen. Ive been coming here for well over 6 yrs and the. New management is awful. I come in and wait patiently every time. Just to get told they can not do my nails this weekend and I come in Monday. ..NO I WORK ON MONDAY, AND WHAT ABIUT SUNDAY? THEY ALWAYS MADE APTS FOR ME UNTIL NOW. but really no need to make an appointment because you will never be seen on time. Very unprofessional to treat any costumer. Ecsp a good paying costumer. They almost play favorites too. Like other bad reviews, you never know what your going to get

I had not been into the salon since the beginning of COVID, so everything looked different. The business also added a menu so you can select your service instead of just guessing at what they have. I’ve gone to the salon for years and even though I was in there for an extended amount of time today. I can’t wait to come back!

I went here today for the first time and was talked into doing a totally different style and let me tell you, I am very happy with my decision! The service was really good! I think the one who did my nails was Juan and he did an excellent job ! Very gentle and made sure every nail were “sisters not cousins “ . Overall, very happy and pleased with my experience . Went in for a fill and repair. The young lady that did my nails did amazing! My original set was chunky and sloppy; and she definitely made the best of a bad situation. My acrylics look so sleek and she painted them diligently. They’ve honestly never looked better. I wish I lived in this city lol. Only here until November for work. 😩

It was so amazing. So patient with my son as well as he didnt understand what to do and not do but my nails and toes look so indescribably good

First time and here and it was great! So calming and they do a really great job taking the time to make sure you get what you really want. Ive been to many nail salons varying in all different price ranges but this was probably the best leg scrub and massage Ive gotten! They staff were super friendly and very nice - not rushed or pushy in any way! Definitely coming back

We showed up at 6:20 and no one came to even get one of us for 45 minutes keep in mind it’s 15 minutes before closing then my nail guy leaves to go look at a house and says he will be back before closing so I sat for a few more minutes and someone finally came over then none of the workers wanted to stay over to do both of our nails so 10/10 will not be going back! Mean time 2 other employee walked around for 20 minutes not doing anything at all. Glad I got to leave with out getting my nails done.

I just recently started coming to this salon because my nail guy moved here. I like the salon everyone seems very friendly. Tristan is the best nail tech around. I moved here from FL and I never thought that I would find someone like my girl in FL but I did. Tristan is the best. I am able to wait for at least month before I get a fill which helps because I am not always able to make it back in 2 weeks. I highly recommend this salon and Tristan. :)

The gentleman who sits up front needs to learn not to text while he’s painting a client’s nails. I had him once before and had to ask him to stop texting. Disappointing.

I’ve been seeing Tristan for my nail appointments for years now, and he’s never let me down. Even if he’s tired, he never lets me leave without a 5-star set. He’s the only person in Johnson City that I trust to do my acrylics.

Tristan was amazing and spent extra time making a very intricate design on my nails to make for the perfect Spooky Season look!!!!

The lady who did my nails was great! I’m giving it 4 stars because they were friendly, gave me what I wanted, were thorough and careful, and I only had to wait about 5 mins! However the cleanliness could have been better as they didn’t seem to use new tools or even cleaned ones.

I always look forward to my pedicure and manicure with Jenny. I like the new scrubs you can purchase. Jenny is amazing. Highly recommend OP Nails.

I’ve been there 3 times!! My first time my nails turned out beautiful. The second and the third not so much. My nails came out oddly shaped and none of them are ever even. My third time going was yesterday and I ended up with the small older woman. She clipped of my cuticles which out of the three times I’ve been that was the first time I had my cuticles clipped. Before my nails would look tacky without my cuticles being clipped. Anyway I was so excited to have a different person do my nails. Then in the middle of her doing my nails she switches me out for another client with out asking my permission and put me with the guy that had previously done my nails and I really didn’t like the way he had done them before. My nails were flat and uneven and not fully painted. Anyway he did better this time and wasn’t so rough. Nails still uneven but better painted. Out of the two times I went my cuticles were bleeding. Just one finger each time. My ring finger. The prices in my opinion are reasonable. My only complaint from yesterday was that my nail technician (the female) should of asked my permission to trade me out for another client and put me with a different nail technician that I had had previously and didn’t like his work. He did massage my hands this last time and put on cuticle oil. He didn’t seem so rushed this time.

I love love love it here. I am new to the area and went based off of reviews and I am so glad I did! The technicians were so helpful and explained everything prior to performing. I will for sure be returning!

Very bad service. The pedicure was rushed and they cut my toe, making me bleed and glue the wound closed. It later became infected and hurt for over a week where I had been cut. I will never recommend.

Quick. In and out(which I enjoy, I dont have patience) I got a fill in with gel. Nails look overall.good. fairly cheap. Only thing was I could have gotten an apology after he cut my finger pretty good. But ehh. Other than that. Good experience

I have had decent experiences here and Ive had some of the worst here. It depends on who you get. Sometimes I could get a better pedicure from an 8 year old. Not worth the gamble.

Tracy is the one who does your nails the best, but she left to go to US Nails and OP Nails does want to admit they lost the best person.

Great nail salon! Most of the technicians are fast and reasonably priced. The only problem I saw around me was that the techs talked to each other and not really to the clientsThis didnt bother me as I like to zone out when thereOne bit of advice- if you need quick service dont let them assign the older lady. She is good for pedicures but takes 3 times as long for your nails!

I used to go here frequently to get my nails done. The younger lady there is super nice but majority of the men who work there are rude. I had a nail break and went and to get it fixed and days later my finger swelled up and I got a disgusting infection and my real nail came off with it!!! The prices are ridiculous as well, I got to ManiPedi now near Mellow Mushroom and they do 10 times better work for half the price. They’re super friendly!! Save yourself the hassle the chance of infection and go there instead!

Pretty good place!! I got my nails done here a while back and they did a great job and not only that but none of them popped off. I mean I literally had to pry them off cause I didnt want them anymore. They stay in really well which is a big deal.

My nails look terrible going into the holidays and the price for gel acrylics were 38.00 higher than other places but for someone that does nails all day long they shouldnt be as thick and hunky and ugly as these look. Id give a NO star if I could.

The manger has reached out to me willing to fix the mistakes and ive got to say its hard to find good hospitality these day and especially people willing to fix the mistake made with no problem. Im looking forward to going back now and i will be uploading new photos.

Worst job ever at doing the dips. I have been getting the dips for months and they never chip. It was 2 days after I got my nails done at OP -and they chipped. I had to back the next day to fix. The followin day another nail chipped so I had to go back again. I have never had so many problems in such a short amount of time. Don’t go there

I came here a while back to get gel nails and they were great! i also came here to get my nails done for prom and i was very pleased! i like that they have regular polish and gel polish as i prefer not to have my nails super thick. my only issue was when i got my acrylics done then older man that was doing my nails seemed to be a bit angry that day. but when i got them filled the guy who speaks english did an amazing job! (not sure of his name) i recommend this place!

Very rude, made an appointment early in the morning. When we arrived was told we cancelled the appointment. Poor customer service. Went across the street to LA nails tv hey did a great job better prices and very friendly!!
