Its my first visit and I absolutely loved it! They take care of you and spend plenty of time and details into your nails. Lina did a great job. I think it will be my go to place from now. Definitely recommend it if you live in Jersey City.

I just moved to Journal Square and I’m so glad this place odd within walking distance! Nice and quiet, the ladies take their time and everyone is very friendly. Not to mention, I’m always happy with the results.

When I went there to get a gel manicure, they used an electric buff and buffed my nails down so thin that we couldnt use the transparent gel color I wanted - there were pink spots showing. My nails which are usually very strong are still peeling and breaking two months later and I havent been able to grow them longer than ~2mm. Very upset. Otherwise the staff is friendly and efficient. Be sure to tell them not to buff your nails with an electric buff.

Worst nail salon ive been to in years! My toenail looked like someone put gum on it after a dip powder! The manicurist literally laughed when she saw my toes! No sanitation effort after the previous person other than the foot bath. I will never go back!

While it’s not in the best location it’s worth coming here. The ladies are friendly, they do an amazing job and the place is clean. The value for the money is great. My manicures looked like new after 4 weeks. I went for the powder dip manicure and regular pedicure. They have a great selection of colors and they match for mani&pedis if you like. I’ve been to a salon in Newport and the quality was subpar and it was expensive. Not worth is. Take the path to journal square and you are right at blooming nails and spa. Support those lovely ladies. They deserve it. Fantastic.... I will be back and this will be my go to nail salon in the future.

Ive been a customer of Blooming Nails & Spa since day 1 and they always manage to exceed my expectations. Theyre very clean, professional, hospitable, and most of all does a great job on my nails. Theyre very artistic, creative and accommodating. I am a perfectionist myself and for them to exceed my expectations is something. I am lazy and hates doing review but they definitely deserve one.

I got dip powder manicure done by Lucy. It was amazing!!! She was so thorough and meticulous. Ive been getting dip manicures every 3 weeks for a year now and this was the best Ive ever gotten! She was so careful to cover and smooth every portion of the nail, and they look perfect. This was also the cheapest dip manicure Ive ever had. I normally spend around $55 and this was only $35. Highly recommend!!!

I am very happy with my dip powder manicure. They took me without an appointment. The wait was a bit long so I suggested making an appointment. The place is clean and the women are friendly. I only give 4 stars because they ate clearly understaffed and walk-ins should be accepted at all times. The prices were pretty decent. $35 for dip powder manicure and $25 for reg pedicure. I highly suggest going here. They have gained a customer.

It was my first time and I had a great experience here. They were super sweet, made me feel comfortable. Even though it was closing they made sure to take care of the service first. Kim did my nails and she was amazing.

Love this placeLena does an excellent job. The first time I went I had a lot of leg pain from standing all day at work. I got a spa pedicure and when I left I was pain free and my feet and hands looked and felt amazing. I highly recommend them. Love the dip powder manicure too. As for the people who are saying they are anti Black or treating Blacks unfairly that is totally false. I am black My co-worker who recommended the place to me is Black and so is the other co-worker who told me the place was great when I first went..I have never had a bad experience with them and I have recommended them to my sister and other black people who have gone there and loved it. The difference is they work by appointment. If you walk in and they are crowded or have an appointment scheduled they may not take you. It is not your stereotypical nail salon.

I went here yesterday for the first time and I must say, my experience was great. I was late to my appointment but they did not fuse or turn me away. They were very kind from the moment I walked in till I left. I got the dip powder done and my nails look beautiful. There was a woman at the front desk who greeted me and showed me to the colors but as I was observing, she was helping out all of the other nail teks and providing great service to each client who was getting their nails and feet done as well. The atmosphere was very comfortable. Lena the person who did my nails was also very quick but her work was not sloppy. She will definitely be my go to going forward and this will definitely be my new nail. Thank you for providing great service.

I love this place. I am a very picky person when it comes to my nails. Blooming Nails is the only place that I can say i have walked out and looked at nails and be fully satisfy. Very nice, clean and pleasant atmosphere. All the girls are super nice. Love this place ! I highly recommend it ! :))

I am editing my initial review... My first powder dip mani was here and I was happy with the results. I came back again and again (since about May) while also periodically visiting other salons and the service is just kind of inconsistent. This place is the closest to me who offers the powder dip & their price is right. I have noticed though definitely depends which technician you get. Great nail salon over all. Given the powder dip is a newer product, I think once everyone gets the process down it will be a more consistent service.. also would like to note I have visited other salons and my nails have lifted. This place that has yet to happen!! Be careful w parking on Summit Ave... weird rush hour parking rules.

Besides the constant price changes, anti-blackness, and really spotty service, I went to this salon for years. Now, no longer. Heres some tea.Ive had a couple not so stellar acrylic sets from here I wont lie, especially from Lina(Nina? I think she changed her name to do a lawsuit). I have long natural nails, and like to keep them that way. Lina goes out of her way to cut my nails shorter than I want, often. Does not respond to constructive criticism well.Lisa(The owner)was wonderful to me for years, until she told me she was going to stop doing acrylic. After that, shes been nothing but an issue. From sending me to Lina for my nails, to trying to charge me for services I dont want or need. Dip powder is fine I guess, but there is no way in hell Im shelling out 45$ a set every 2-3 weeks.Lucy, who mostly does pedicures, is amazing in every way. She needs 10 raises! I am heartbroken that she works at a shop where the owner doesnt appreciate her stellar work.All in all, go see someone else and avoid the drama.

If i can give them no stars, i would. They make up so many excuses not to give you any service. If this was a nail salon, they should be prepared and well equipped to help any students. This is the second time they did this to me. I RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO GO SOME OTHER SALON

I’ve been getting my nails done at Blooming Nails since I was In High School, I ‘m 27 now. Always a great experience, very sanitary, and they give you exactly what you ask for. The service is awesome.

Dont waste your time going here. Really bad customer service, they ask for appointments only with an empty shop! Higher prices and cheap work! Thier gel is horrible and peels, the acrylic is cheap and cracks. Every time I think it gets better... I waste my time! Complete waste of money despite their prime location! Go somewhere else.

Small salon but very clean and peaceful. They use pedicure liners and have a huge selection of dip powder and gel colors. My mani and pedi are always on point. They can get very busy so appointments are highly recommended.

For three months Im been going here but yesterday I couldnt make it so i went to Bergen Nails Smh a waste of money .. But this place here do such a wonderful job with everything they offer overall if I could give a ten I would! ^_^

Garbage service. My daughter went to get her nails done and they came out horrible. She tried to tell them to fix them and the said that they couldnt because it was no real nail beneath but the again the lady kept of shaving it down when she told them its uneven. I suggest you go to Hawaiian Nails on Newark Ave.
